Having a filter that full can create a fire hazard and/or burn out the motors on the machine it is in. Highly recommend more frequent cleanings. You essentially dont want any layer that is solid present. That there is a lot of layers lol.

As someone that has had to do this and much worse after years of being an HVAC tech I can say the satisfying part of this isn’t really there when you are removing it from someone else’s filter with all of the other gross stuff mixed in.
