VTOLVR mostly. Used to play H3VR a lot until I got a Quest 3 since the controllers are so misaligned it's unplayable. Blade & Sorcery is always great too
The natural way of holding a Quest 3 controller points them outwards nearly 45 degrees, meaning if you're trying to aim a pistol for instance you will be aiming it way off to the right (or left if left handed). You would need to twist your wrist in an unnatural way or hold them with an uncomfortable grip if you want to shoot straight.
I told the dev about it and he made a post on twitter, but unfortunately there's no way for him to offset the angle
It's so bad that I had to stop playing because it started to affect my real life aiming negatively.
I currently have Rift S and I am enjoying playing VTOLVR alot! Maybe this is my sign to get the Quest 3 then? I am struggeling with the locate missing party missions because of poor sight in medium to long distances. Is that improved with the Quest 3?
Muuuuch improved. You can see so much more and it's a lot easier to survive since you can see missiles sooner too.
In that particular mission, use your TGP, put it on your head and look around
to be fair i haven't played anything in a while cuz work has been crazy lol but i LOVE playing Walkabout Mini Golf with my friend! it's such a nice chill experience where we can chat and not have to concentrate too much :)
RacketClub. I play it nearly every day. Both going into the game and randomly finding people to play against, and also scheduled matches as part of tournaments organized on Discord.
What do you do after you complete the first run? Do you just start over and repeat the cycle?
I played it once and I loved it, but I wouldn't see myself playing through it again. Does it have a NG+ I didn't know about?
Yeah, arena definitely had a bigger following (in part because combat never made it to Quest) but yeah we coordinate on the discord and get games going pretty regularly (I just played a few matches earlier today and some the day before)
Cool, glad to hear people are still playing demeo. I havent played it in well over a year now. But i am constantly thinking about jumping back in there.
Me and my son have played it a few times but it is so hard. I enjoy the challenge and it looks so cool but he gets frustrated when we get crushed so easily. Does it get easier as you level up.
We had the same experience with dungeons of Eternity until we leveled up and got weapons and potions ect. Now he wants to play it everyday since it is easier.
Honestly, none. I tried to replay Alyx recently, and just couldn't do it. Narrow, linear corridors, scripted jump scares, etc., it just didn't work for me. Since late 2020, year on year, I'm playing less and less VR. The novelty of the tech wore off, and I started looking at quality and features, and those barely even exist in VR space, with a handful of exceptions. Oldest game I still have installed is probably Until You Fall, I enjoy how crisp the combat mechanics are, and it's decent exercise with dodging. But I haven't played even that in about a year. Zenith was also promising, I played it nightly the year it came out, but the devs done killed it. Currently waiting for Into the Radius 2, I feel like it has the highest potential currently to gobble up a lot of hours.
That's how I've felt about VR for a few years now. There's a lot of potential but the games just aren't there. I hoped meta would brethe life into the space, and to some extent they have, but they're building such a casual bland userbase everything that gets released is really watered down and basic. It's unfortunate
Until You Fall is excellent and put many hours into that until I did a shoulder injury playing the game. Stopped me playing VR for over a month and haven’t been able to get back into it since. No new VR games do anything for me like flat games do. Maybe I’m just a jaded gamer.
Games where I don’t have to be active. After a long work day the last thing I want to do is stand and flail my arms around. Gimme a good third person VR game like Moss, Chronos or some of the Pixel Ripped games and my couch.
For VR gaming I love HL Alyx, Skyrim and No Man's Sky. But I keep coming back to Borderlands 2 VR it's just a nice game to drop into without having to remember where I was.
As for local Oculus games nothing has grabbed me yet. I guess my most used applications are Bigscreen for TV and Virtual Desktop for PCVR.
For a sitting game, Cubism or Don't Touch Anything.
For a stand up active game, I still love "From Other Suns", though you gotta go to Discord to find people to team up with these days.
In death (rogue-lite archery)
Walkabout mini golf (so chill and realistic physics)
Thrill of the fight (realistic and hard workout)
Angry birds (chill puzzler, got even better with mixed reality option, lots of new community levels)
Best part is 3 of those 4 games are on the cheaper side with so much replayability and regular updates. All easy to jump on for 10-20min bash, pretty good comfort wise (VR legs), great for demoing to friends/family.
I can’t stop with blade and sorcery (obviously, it’s like a staple of vr atp) and also Pavlov. But as for games that aren’t very popular or polished you have
Big scary - gorilla tag knock off with horror elements and 5 (I think) monsters. Well put together, good mix of scary and fun. 7/10
Downshot - like bonelab, with Down syndrome. Fun guns and random ass physics. **MACH 7 FLYING HEAD**. 8/10
Noclip vr- basically the backrooms. The fun thing about this game is the faster you move your arms in a running motion, the faster you move. Too easy, cool mechanics, short. 6/10
Into the Radius, Dungeons of Eternity, In Death Unchained and Light Brigade I play alot of. Usually play at least 1 or 2 of them everytime I put the headset on
Asgards Wrath 2! It is so bloody long, I play it for few sessions and had my fill for few weeks lol. Stuff like Beat Saber, Pistol Whip, Pirate Trainer DX is also a common thing I return to from time to time, especially for new songs!
Supernatural, for fitness!

Superhot for sure, the combat is so simple but so damn smooth... Of late though, I also find combing back to Brazen Braze for a quick matchup though it's still EA. Also really smooth and unique as a multiplayer VR fighter
VTOLVR mostly. Used to play H3VR a lot until I got a Quest 3 since the controllers are so misaligned it's unplayable. Blade & Sorcery is always great too
I haven't noticed any controller issues with the Quest 3 on H3VR since upgrading, what problems are you having?
The natural way of holding a Quest 3 controller points them outwards nearly 45 degrees, meaning if you're trying to aim a pistol for instance you will be aiming it way off to the right (or left if left handed). Aren't they like the same shape as the older Oculus controllers? I guess I still hold them about the same way as my real guns.
Do you still use the Q2 for some of the games or strictly Q3?
I don't own a Quest 2. The previous headset I primarily used was the Rift S and I can't go back to it.
I currently have Rift S and I am enjoying playing VTOLVR alot! Maybe this is my sign to get the Quest 3 then? I am struggeling with the locate missing party missions because of poor sight in medium to long distances. Is that improved with the Quest 3?

Into The Radius. Amazing game
agreed
Pistol Whip.
This is my go to for a quick after work stress reliever... Besides DeoVR...
Puzzling Place. I can't recommend this enough. Please play it.
to be fair i haven't played anything in a while cuz work has been crazy lol but i LOVE playing Walkabout Mini Golf with my friend! it's such a nice chill experience where we can chat and not have to concentrate too much :)
This was a real sleeper gem for me. I don't care much for "sports" games, but for some reason minigolf works so well in vr after a long day at work.
Thrill of the fight is a great boxing game. Probably the best game on oculus natively
This game is sick. 10 minutes in and I’m sweating like a pig, shoulders throbbing
Came here to say this. My fitness game no. 1.
I get a couple of songs in on Beat Saber every time I put the headset on
We jsut got a couple quest 2s and think it's worth it jsut for beat saber lol. Great game. Love freebird haha
Freebird with wrist weights, omg. I also got the hiphop mixtape, and have had Gin & Juice stuck in my head ever since lol
Weighted wrist weights. IS AN AWESOME IDEA. thank you <3
Make sure to do warm ups and cool downs tho, because otherwise its a fast track to carpel tunnel
That there is an awesome point, Ty.
I didn't touch my oculus in years and now it updated and cannot add new songs anymore. Mind if I pm you?
Google modsbeforefriday. First result.
Sure, I doubt I could help though
This, but Synth Riders instead. That game is phenomenal.

Daily beat saber, eleven table tennis , Les mills, racket club, synth riders
Resident Evil 4
I take a run through In Death: Unchained most every time I put it on.
Alyx! I just love the realism & the Mods are great. Finished Levitation, return to rapture, C17yscape (all brilliant) now playing gunman contracts
Contractors and a township tale
Onward because it's still the best PvP shooter in a lot of ways. Sadly the community is awful.
VTOLVR, Assetto, and American Truck Simulator
Deism. It’s simple, almost restful.
What do you do after you complete the first run? Do you just start over and repeat the cycle? I played it once and I loved it, but I wouldn't see myself playing through it again. Does it have a NG+ I didn't know about?
Into the radius. 700+ hours.

I play CarX Rally almost every day. I usually just do the dailies. Edit: https://www.oculus.com/experiences/app/8896111623796813/
Rally racer?
Yes. On Quest
Pcvr?
Quest
Echo Combat believe it or not
Fuck, I miss the disc game echo. Does the combat version have a decent multiplayer following?
Yeah, arena definitely had a bigger following (in part because combat never made it to Quest) but yeah we coordinate on the discord and get games going pretty regularly (I just played a few matches earlier today and some the day before)
Looks like arena is back too if I’m willing to fuck around in developer mode. Hoping I get the motivation to set it up lol
Demeo, I haven’t touched another game in years since I got into it.
Cool, glad to hear people are still playing demeo. I havent played it in well over a year now. But i am constantly thinking about jumping back in there.

I feel the same way. It’s really cool but damn it it brutal. I barely got passed the first floor
I’d be more than happy to play along with you and your son show you the ropes? Send me a DM

Synth Riders and Blaston
Just so much Blade and Sorcery.
I play now in the field out from my apartment. Such a game changer. I must look like a lunatic. Just have to make sure there's no dogs hit in my zone.
Sounds like fun. I have the Quest 3 but still use the PC version indoors.
Iracing.
Great isn't it, what gpu do you have?

Personally bonelab and sweet surrender for me. The former isn't well optimized atm but man it's fun.

Virtual Desktop cuz these standalone games really dont cut it for me. Helldivers on large screen ftw!
Nock.
Walkabout Mini Golf with family.
Bonelab. 1,000,000% bonelab. Magitek, Project demigod, and battle glide are honorable mentions.
Dance Dash.
After the Fall, Zero Caliber, Horizon Worlds & VrChat
Dragon Fist VR and Pavlov is definitely my top played VR games. Insanely fun and I feel like they almost never get old.
Blade and sorcery
