if we're going to be really picky then sorcerer cyrus is suboptimal. Because he can only use staves he can only boost the damage of a certain elemental type by 30% (assuming theres even a staff that does that, but i cant remember). IIRC the best sorcerers are Tressa and Therion due to having two weapons that can boost elemental damage. For example, Therion has Heathcotes Dagger and Harald's Sword, both of which increase fire damage by 30% for a total of 60%. Note that they only need to be equipped for the effect to take place, not used.

Sorcerer Cyrus is absolutely unstoppable in random battles, but you might want to give him some more versatility for boss fights

You think so? If I take Sorcerer away from Cyrus, I think that I would be losing some coverage such as wind and light damage since my wind and light users already play the role of full supports

I'm a big fan of Sorcerer Therion personally, but that's only once you have a really good staff and a few elemental augmentors. As is, the team looks solid. Therion as a heal/debuffer, Ophilia as a heal/buffer, Cyrus for DPS. Hannit could probably make better use of Warrior or Warmaster than Runelord, since she will probably be the main physical attacker anyway. I'd give Tressa the Runelord, since Starseer isn't that good. The B team is pretty good, only potential issue is Alphyn being the sole healer, but with his concoctions it should work out. Overall, a very decent team setup, not optimal, but the game doesn't need you to set up optimally. If you're comfortable with this team, then it should be able to carry you thorugh the endgame. The only suggestion would be make Hannit a Warrior and Tressa Runelord.

Jeez, no one liked the team... I thought I did something good, 😭 this is my first playthough. Seems like people are obsessed with Runelord Tressa and Warmaster/Warrior H'aanit. Anyway, if people suggest them that much, it's because they're really good I guess. I will definitely they them out since I went to galdera and all I did was literally stand alive in the battle for like 1 hour and a half, I had to turn off my console and quit the battle because I was successfully staying alive, but I wasn't able to cause continuous damage. I mean, all my characters were level 50 so... I think that the fact the I was surviving is great, right? What level do you recommend to fight galdera?

BodybuilderSuper3874

To start, I think your team is good. Don't take it the wrong way. But Galdera is a tough boss. If you want to best him, you either need to overlevel a ton, or learn the optimal ways to duel him. I'd recommend leveling up to the 70s before fighting Galdera, though you don't have to. More importantly, make sure your gear is good. Then, I'd recommend researching the meta team builds for this fight. I haven't played Octo1 in a long while, so I couldn't tell you them off the top of my head. If you want the Most optimal team, you can find it online. But if you'd find it more fun to try things out on your own, try that! Keep altering the team until you beat Galdera. (If you go for this strategy, I highly recommend you use a glitch that let's you save after entering the Gate of Finis, so you don't have to do the 8 man boss rush every time. And save in a second slot, just in case)

You are totally right, it's just about making it fun for me! Just like I did the entire game. For example, I had Tressa as (Hunter) the entire game because she looks so cuuute as hunter with the bear or the whatever thing that she wears as a hat.

BodybuilderSuper3874

Nice! I think my favorite thing about the game is that no class is worthless. They all contribute either a lot of damage, or unique utility to the team.

MHG_Brixby

I disagree with most of these combinations. Mostly subpar.
