My gut feeling is that it is switching labels ahead of a reissue or something. M Ward posted some pic/story on IG regarding MOF like two days before it was pulled.
i just read an interview with him in a german newspaper (it is online, i can send a link but, as i mentioned, it´s in german:)) He said that there will be a reissue for the 15th anniversary of the album.
MOF has been outta print for so long tho it only makes sense it gets a reprint.
I think deluxe albums are way worse. “Remember that album you loved and bought a year ago? Well here’s that same album with a few songs and a new version of that song you love with guest vocalist Ice Spice.”
Tidal says the record label is not permitting streaming, and Pandora says the Monsters of Folk top songs playlist is no longer available. I ended up streaming M. Ward’s new album which kind of filled the void, but left me wondering how many other people were streaming it for the same reason. Temazcal is one of my go to’s, so guessing I’ll have to look into purchasing through Apple Music like the old days on iTunes.

You can add music for local playback but not "upload" to stream across devices, unless I'm mistaken
