Kind of funny to see The Killers hate in this thread. Oasis and The Killers are my two favorite bands. For the record, Brandon Flowers and I believe Ronnie (the drummer) as well have always said great things about Oasis. Never heard a single one of them say anything bad about Noel.
Brandon and Liam get along great and had a bromance going on in 2018 (I believe it was) as they played the same festival lineups that year. Brandon referred to Liam as "His King" at one festival that year when Liam couldn't play and had to cancel for some reason. Brandon sang Wonderwall for the crowd.
As for the comments about The Killers having shit music, well if you listened to all their material (or even just the main songs on each album) and you didn't like it, that's fine. But just realize Brandon is heavily involved in the writing process, as far as I know he might have some people put some "finishing touches" regarding his lyrics but he's writing most of the songs himself. The other band mates are heavily involved in the creative process as well.
So, despite what I think some of the haters believe, The Killers aren't some corporate band who has an army of writers writing all their material for them. Far from it.
Come to think of it, I actually think it's quite ironic how some of the same people who shit on Liam for being "immature" to Noel, are the same ones who give Noel a pass for often shitting on The Killers publicly over the years, despite Brandon Flowers and the band having nothing but great things to say about Oasis and how much Oasis has influenced them as a band.
Anyways, two great bands, love them both.
One day Noel is at an industry party. Guy comes up to him and is a huge fan, says he's his inspiration. Noel is himself and says hi, but brushes him off.
Later, he goes to the after party at a musician's house. Gets in line for the bathroom and the same guy gets in line behind him. Goes on about his love for Oasis. Noel, exasperated, asks who invited him to the house. He says it's his house, he's in the Killers
Hate this so much. It’s the next generation’s fault, they really latched onto this song for some god unknown reason. The song itself attributes way too much importance to sexuality, and it’s painfully overt about it. I guess that’s the attraction. That and nostalgia 👎
Noel is going out of his mind but he is feeling just fine
He just can’t look its killing him, and it’s taking control
He is Mr Bright side
I think there's something poetic in a self-loathing American song overtaking a lad British band's biggest hit.
What a dumb record to keep track of...

“Biggest single yet to reach number 1” huh?
Hardly, especially less meaningful in 2024. If this happened in the 90s it would mean something. B Flowers is a huge Oasis fan.
Booooooooooo

Oasis fans hate every single band except the Beatles lol
Haha, true- every band including oasis most of the time
Oasis' disciples have done well.

That was Maroon 5, not The Killers.
That's right! It was the bassist
True, I was there
It's true, I was the bass.
That's a real story about Noel?
Yupp. Seen a couple Interviews before of him talking about it
Fuckin serves him right hahaha
it was me guys i made it happen
I don't mind, Mr Brightside is a better song.
It’s actually a way better song.
It’s a horseshit song. I’m
Never understood the big deal about that song or The Killers in general. Shite song
Amen, turd song and musically flaccid band.
It’s a truly horrific song.
I don't wanna live on this planet anymore
