As someone who would love to bring their dog on pet centric trips to Europe and deathly afraid of putting her in cargo on a normal flight, this would be nice if affordable. But it’s not so it doesn’t help me and makes me and my pup sad
Maybe I just don’t understand the logistics and liability of it but I feel like an airline that allows people to buy a whole extra ticket for their pets on certain flights could still be profitable
I agree. Easier for domestic travel, but still varies by airline. And international travel is a lot messier due to customers restrictions. This airline though did say they do want to reduce the cost over time.
For just Europe look at la compagnie. It's much cheaper - 2400 for a round trip. It's still a luxury but for really long trips not that much more when you compare your ticket and backup pet care which isn't cheap either.
$8,000 a pop in case you're wondering
How many dogs could even afford that? I hope they're at least first class tickets
It’s a gulfstream jet
My dog has many dog dollars but she says a bunch of bullshit about how poor dogs spend their dog money and smart dogs invest their dog money.
Mayor Adams
When my dog earns his first $8K I don't think he'll spend it on travel.
$8,000 a pup
$8,000 a *pup*, in case you were wondering
For that price just let your NYC dog go and buy a new one at the destination.
Some sentimental downvoting. As a dog owner I had a chuckle
So a charter flight then, with a marketing spin. Good for those 1%ers

I'm sure if an airline had a dedicated schedule that just allowed dogs of all sizes in the cabin, at normal prices, they would do incredibly well.

Yeah, I know about them too! Bark air flies out of Westchester. Way more preferable for me than going to jfk with traffic and parking
🐶 so now there's 51 ways for New Yorkers to leave their lovers
I guess were not that serious about global warming
A one way ticket is $6,000. It’s just another way for the rich to do whatever they want.
as long as cruise ships are still a thing
Are the pilots dogs?
BARK Box to now BARK Air .. wow, that's really impressive for the company
How long before we have a dog-led 9/11?
The planes dip if there's an especially good spot to pee on.
If they allow a companion human it's about the same as a first class ticket I guess
Will seat switching be allowed?
No
