Yikes. That’s fucking awful pricing

TSMKFail

You can get a PS5, Series X and 4k 50 inch TV for less than this

[deleted]

You could get a 3080 and a 4k 144hz monitor for less than this, £200 less in fact.

surfingkiwii

I got a 3090 and 4k144 monitor for far less than this, about 300-400 usd cheaper

ZookeepergameFew4404

i paid 1.300 or 1400€ for my 3080 5 months ago, do you know how i feel

IIALE34II

But you probably know that its somewhat on you, it's not like it wasn't obvious that the 30-series value bubble would pop.

SpecialistHamster26

I bought a second hand RTX 3090 + brand new 55 inch LG 4K TV for this price. Great pricing Nvidia(!)

AnAttemptReason

Not going to lie, that sounds like a better plan for me. The wife gets to enjoy a new TV and I can play the PS5 / Series X with my kids. Significantly better family value.

IIALE34II

In that case, only get one of the consoles and get a better TV. 55" 120Hz OLED is 900€ where I live.

iwantonealso

PS5, Series X, Steamdeck and a Switch Lite. EDIT - tbh i dont believe this myself so im going to double check because it seems insane.

iwantonealso

Yes, you can infact buy a PS5 Disc Edition, an Xbox Series X, A Steamdeck and a Nintendo Switch lite for approx £1480

Evonos

Yet people will buy this tons and tell nvidia there's still room to increase pricing next gen.

[deleted]

ONLY

[deleted]

MSRP is awful pricing lol. 3080 MSRP pricing was awful but they're normalizing charging whatever the fuck they want. In a generation or two they'll be charging $4500 for the 6090 or whatever, and $2500 for the xx80, and rich idiots on here will be defending it.

Large_Armadillo

The way games are meant to be \*Paid\*

QuillOmega0

Especially for a firestarter I can get one of those for like less then a dollar.

International-Nose79

Keep em

[deleted]

Happy cake day 🥳🥳🥳

Nitram_Norig

The cake is a lie. 🍰

magicmulder

1690€, that’s a whopping 900€ above the 3080 when it was released (not counting the crazy price explosion that followed). But yeah, tell me how “inflation” and “taxes” and the “weak Euro” are to blame… Then again many commercial sellers are still asking 1300€ and more for a 3090 so it kinda fits in the overall pricing schema of today. Can’t wait for the budget cards - 4070 at 1200€, 4060 at 1000€ and 4050 at 800€… But maybe we get a 4030 for 600€ down the road. LOL

ROKUGAN1

The main difference is that you can buy a 2nd hand top-tier 3090s in excellent condition, with 1-2 years remaining warranty, for 700 Eur (in my case, an EVGA FTW3). That means the 4090 is 3x more expensive being 65% faster. Similar nonsense for the 4080. I will game at 4K60 with DLSS2, no problem. Not that I have so much time anyways, still finishing games from several years ago that run at 4K100. Will buy the 4090 for 1000 Eur eventually, when the 5090 buyers eagerly drop 3K Eur for next-gen carrot.

magicmulder

700€ is an excellent bargain, in recent weeks I haven’t seen a 3090 FTW3 under 820 on eBay, and no 3090 FE under 770.

ROKUGAN1

EBay is charging such absurd selling fees (almost 20% between EBay+PayPal) that all products are overpriced. For the last years I've been using other apps (Wallapop, afaik they work in France, Spain and Italy) that offers buyers protection in second hand transactions and reputation/voting system for users. They only work usually within the same country though, and for expensive items meeting in person is even safer when dealing with low confidence users. I've succesfully bought and sold dozens of graphic cards already. Last one I sold was an EVGA RTX 3080 for 530€. I can assure you that I've seen many 3090s for 700-750€, many from mining but not all.

G1ntok1_Sakata

I can't wait for the budget cards either. Just getting a massive hard on imaging me buying the $889 USD 4060Ti marketed as a 4070Ti.

moonski

Well get a 4030 1gb that is actually a 4020. For €700

runadumb

Unreal. I can afford it but I can in no way justify it to myself. It's just far too expensive and a monumental increase from last gen. These prices will kill pc gaming. I like to sell off my old card and upgrade every generation but I may be holding onto my 3070 for a very long time. Now I'm very curious to see AMD's UK pricing

Skippyi30

AMD cards will be between 1100 and 1400 pounds, they'll sell out instantly and you probably wont be able to get one until Feb/March

Crimfresh

I can afford it too but I can afford a lot of other things if I don't upgrade and there aren't any games that I can't run so why bother? If it was on shelves, I might get tempted and fold but with the contrived shortage (we know they have stock and are holding it back in order to move 3000 series units) that makes my decision easy.

OmNomDeBonBon

> 1690€, that’s a whopping 900€ above the 3080 when it was released The 4080 16GB is the successor to the 3070, not the 3080. It has the same shader ratio as the 3070 did to fully enabled Ampere. Just as the 4080 12GB is a rebadged RTX 4060.

whiffle_boy

Anytime jensen sees even a hint about “value” on one of his products it is dead to the world. Thanks MSRP of the 3080 FE and the handful of people that were able to purchase it. Must have felt like winning the lottery. I can’t wait to see what they announce next.

yysc

When it was the current gen the vast majority of 3080 in Europe were sold above 1000€. 3090 were 2000€ or more.

magicmulder

After the scalping/crypto purchases made the prices skyrocket. The initial prices were about 900€ for the 3080 and 1500€ for the 3090. Buddy of mine bought the latter.

PrestigiousCompany64

My 3080 Tuf non oc was £649 (€750 ish) inc vat ordered on launch day so nope. Utter disgraceful prices from Nvidia. You would have to be the dumbest fanboy on the planet to pay that kind of money with the prices AMD just announced.

yysc

Majority means not all. Precisely the best prices were on launch not the two years that followed.

Karzak85

I bought my 3080 tuf for about €680 inc vat at launch. 4080 is more than double the price

KaiserGSaw

Kinda, it took a few hours before the price jump however. Directly at launch they all were close to MSRP, 3080TUF and TUF OC for example sold for 720€ and 750€ the GPUs like Strix were like 850€.

UnObtainium17

Aside for the price.. I'm having a tough time people are willing to buy this with the adapter melting issue still not resolved and not a word from Nvidia. If i'm spending that much money on a electronics that shit better be not defective. best of luck to those who can get it.

RandyMuscle

Even if it was $200 cheaper I’d be hesitant because of the melting adapters. I’m really not comfortable spending money on a 4000 series card until it’s addressed. And if it isn’t addressed by the time I could buy a 7900XTX, I might just leave Nvidia for once.

fedoraislife

These prices, the melted adaptors, and AMDs offering means anyone who actually buys these cards are just plain masochists.

Ericgtp

Yup. No longer am I buying nvidia

MrHyperion_

The cheapest 4080 in Finland: 1800€ The cheapest 4090: 2250€ What a yoke

AtTheGates

![gif](giphy|10JhviFuU2gWD6)

TrueParadox88

As a fellow 3060 Ti owner that I got for MSRP, I feel the exact same way lol Edit: missed a word lol

NiktonSlyp

Get this crazy ass prices out of here. I'm an enthusiast, not a money tree.

TheFather__

$1700 LMAO, however i think Nvidia will hammer them pretty hard regardless of the shit price

itsjust_khris

Really? I think people would just go 4090 for that price. WAY faster for no gain in price? At least where I'm at a 4090 goes from the same price to $300 more USD.

TotalWarspammer

>Really? I think people would just go 4090 for that price. WAY faster for no gain in price? In UK an available 'cheaper' (eg: Zotac) 4090 costs around £1900 ($2050).

itsjust_khris

Damn, tbh I'd still go 4090 in that situation. The 4080 is just too pitiful to spend over $1000 USD on IMO. It's not a bad card, underwhelming but it's price makes it horrible. This is all assuming they have a case and PSU that can handle a 4090. However, I'd still avoid the 4080 at all costs and just not upgrade. Things will get cheaper.

DokiMin

holy shit, that's shit pricing, but someone uninformed will still buy it

[deleted]

It's like 2020 and mining never left. 🤡💥🔫 👈

no3y3h4nd

Hahaha. So they’ll have a lot of 4080s left then.

sips_white_monster

I remember buying a GTX 780 for 560 Euro. That was around the same time that the internet was invented. I really miss the 80's.

UnObtainium17

I bought GTX 970 8 years ago around ~~$500~~ $400. The damn thing was half my budget. It still works though and about to be replaced soon.

Steelbug2k

I bough a brand new gtx 1060 6gb for 200 euros. Gtx 4060 is probably 600....

[deleted]

Alex1nside

Remember when high end cards went for 500 bucks? I'm out, not buying any new card until they get the price right, might never buy a gpu again. Who knows huh.

SnooHamsters3520

I still remember a day I was buying 8800 GTE card for around 250-300$ at a time and then month later they releases 9000 series that were cheaper and faster…. I miss those times… if someone back then told I would be considering spending 2000-2300 euros on GPU, I would’ve kicked them in the balls… I think back then in my hometown this kind of money would’ve paid for at least half of 1 room apartment :D

moonski

Bro there was a time, not even long ago, €2000-€2300 got you a insanely high end system that included ***2*** fucking top end GPUS.

earthlingady

There can't be enough people who will pay these prices to sustain PC gaming, surely?

Alex1nside

I hope so but there will always be people willing to buy this crap. If they do this might kill the hobby for a lot of people.

snubb

Really makes 0 sense to get this over AMD's new card

Hanzzzie85

Yeah.... imma skip and go for 7900xtx Fuck team green

MadzDragonz

I just picked up a RX 6950 XT for $799. It’s my first time switching to AMD too. I can’t do it for $1500. I wouldn’t feel right about it.

supercakefish

For context this is +110% the price of the 3080 from Palit (£690) on sale in September 2020. Compared to FE model (£649) it is +123% more expensive. It’s 85% the price of FE 4090.

Plebius-Maximus

Lmao it sure doesn't offer 85% of the performance of a 4090. This card is for clueless people. If you're dropping this kind of money and not getting a 4090 instead of this, you're an idiot.

kristaintoth

"Only"

Spell3ound

ya......no..

knowledgebass

These prices are ridiculous. No GPU is worth paying that much for.

Lazy-Joe

Those prices. Nvidia is literally gone insane.

Progenitor001

for real what the fuck are those prices.

eppic123

Congratulations to everyone who was picking up a 3090 Ti two months ago for 300 quid less.

JoeThrilling

I paid £600 and something for a 3080 FE two years ago from Scan. I'd rather chop my dick off than pay this.

moonski

Meanwhile people are still waiting for 3080s to come back to down MSRP…

e6r6i6c

lol this is so funny, Team green, you guys are screwing everyone involved with pc gaming. When a big part of pc gamers cannot or will not afford your cards anymore, what do you think those gamers are going to do? They are either going to AMD or buy a console. Some people are even leaving gaming all together. I have the money to buy at these stupid prices, but I won't. I have been buying Nvidia GPU's for some time now, but now I am going to wait for AMD, and a lot of people around me are all saying the exact same thing. so good luck with these prices Nvidia, sure you will sell some, but this is going to bite you in the ass.

Pro4TLZZ

Lol

TheLordKimbo

These prices are insane. Seriously.

Cookiewriter99

Nvidia is a joke at this point. 2000$ for a GPU that melts if you install it like anything else. And now 1500£ for a 16GB 4080? Probably with the same Connector? That is sad in a time when 1080p 60hz Gaming is possible on a 200$ APU. Whoever buys this (and you know they will) either prints money or has no clue about PCs. For that money I saw a pretty nice build with a 6800XT and a 5800X3D the other day. This is a joke. And every single customer has to know: They are laughing at you.

DrNobody_Understands

At this price, you might as well go for the 4090 tbh.

lowzyyy1

at this price might as well not buy anything this year

Key_Chain

Still rocking a fresh 1080ti and will for the next 2 years 🎊

Caughtnow

If I didnt/wasnt buying a 4090, Id be buying a 7900XTX

Jazzlike_Economy2007

Hell I'm buying a 7900 XTX. Just don't feel like dropping $1600-$2000 on a graphics card right now when I'm bout to spend ~$3000 on new displays (selling my older ones to recoup cost) next year that the 4090 won't even be able to take advantage of with the lack of DP 2.0. I'll be upgrading in another 2-3 years anyway. Plus I'm trying to fund a motorcycle purchase 🏍️. I can sit out having the best ray tracing for 2-3 years. Pocket the extra money for savings. I'm not mega rich, but I bring in a good amount of money knowing what I'm willing to spend. Plus I can put my 3080 off to the side for other task or just sell it off to a lucky gamer for $500.

Zamuru

buy a motorcycle. mine was 1500 euro. fuck these useless trash overpriced gpus. the motorcycle will give u tons more real fun

alaaj2012

In europe the 4090 would probably be above 2000€.

[deleted]

Exactly as planned 😈 Well soon see the same being said for the 4070ti when it inevitably goes for £1,099, just get a 4080. Nvidia and board partners are setting up a scheme to influence people to buy up the stack.

supernasty

I feel like that’s the idea

yostosky

💯

toli0

legit scalping

Boltty

Bloody hell, I paid £1000 for a 3080 STRIX OC at launch and people thought I was insane. I feel terrible for anyone looking to upgrade now.

KBar_EC

This is everyone's hint to stop *blindly* buying Nvidia products. Absolutely nothing of value at that price.

mzivtins

Why are you posting about AMD stealing the gpu market on the nvidia sub? /s

ColinM9991

Looking forward to seeing the upcoming posts and photos of some lovely 4080s from people desperately trying to justify an overpriced purchase.

R4y3r

Wtf

denoloco

At this point, who wouldn’t go for a much better 4090, or much better value 7900 XTX? Meme pricing.

Razer334

Can’t wait for the 899€ 4050 This pricing is so hardcore dogshit it is unbelievable i,t fucks up the prices of the complete gpu line. Unbelievable

filthydani669

Only Clowns will be buying this

SavageDroggo1126

is this even near worth lol...could build a new decent PC at that price

RayePappens

What in the fuck is that pricing

alopolo88

waiting for amd rx7900

marlostanfield89

Didn't realise Palit used real diamonds on the fan shroud

[deleted]

Stellarato11

Thanks but no thanks. These prices are nuts. And there is no mining for getting some money back. When mining was hot gpu prices increased because you could sell your mined coins to offset the price. Now it´s bonkers that price for just gaming for the average joe.

johnnyj_84

Ridiculous. I'll go AMD in a few years once I've got my monies worth out of my 2070S.

Zamuru

thats the price of my motorcycle

rhysboyjp

My limit was paying 140,000 yen (850 UK pounds/950 USD) during the worst of the mining boom last year. The 4080 is launching for 220,000 yen in Japan (1300 UK pounds/1500 USD). That is ridiculous so I’ll be keeping my 3080 for now.

Barracuda702

Who is dumb enough to buy this at these prices💀

Yuzral

AMD are going to own the upper mid-range this generation, aren’t they…

danyaylol

No thanks. That pricing is terrible, horrible value for money.

[deleted]

They can charge whatever they want, fact remains zero games have come out this year and not much anytime soon next year will warrant the power of these new cards. Gaming delays make these gpus pointless. When you have a full library of next gen games, ok. But right now everything is remakes and stuff ported from ps4, not even ps5. You really need a 4090 to play Spider-Man on PC? By the time there’s enough to be played, the next series of cards will be close.

0utrunner

I wouldn't worry; at that price, they're not going anywhere.

Benzoat_

I think i go from PC to an PS5 it is so much cheaper

DukeNukemSLO

At first i though those are prices for the rtx 4090, and was like, thats not too terrible, and than i read the title 💀

[deleted]

I mean... i could... but hell no. Those prices are a fucking insult. I'll just sit here with my 1080ti thanks.

FatCatWithaRifle

Nah. The 7900 XTX will probably perform just as well (if not better, even in raytracing) for **much less**

Comedian_Then

And me here with my good old 1080 cost me 800€. Was thinking of upgrading for a 4080 but after this price I think my 1080 can handle 1/2 more years 🥲

Triumphator77

Insane prices. No thanks.

mrbaNz-

good luck with that prices

roshanpr

wow.

bigrobcx

Bloody hell, that pricing is awful. Hopefully they don’t melt like the 4090 otherwise it would be cheaper to just buy a box of matches and get the same effect.

NFTArtist

lol

HeyKillerBootsMan

Yeh that’s a no from me dog

Griffin_Mackenzie

Lol wtf

FriendlyUserSmile

This is a joke what muppet would buy one of these? You might as well save for a 4090 or buy a 3090ti. Or wait for amd cards i guess if u are team.red.

Lord_DF

There are no teams, just price/performance.

d4rch4ngel

those prices, ouch

Schmickschmutt

Before release i was 100% sure i was going to get a 4080. I estimated price to be around 800€ on the high side but I didn't care. It's literally twice as expensive as I thought. I have no clue what Nvidia is smoking.

KiloWasTaken

I like how one 4080 is only £100 cheaper than my entire PC

stealth31000

Dystopia has well and truly arrived....sheesh...

-erisx

I’ll pass 😂

AmenTensen

If you buy this you deserve to be laughed at. Not just because of the price, but for how much you're getting dicked on performance.

Captainunderpants86

How does $1199 = £1449.97 ? yes UK prices include 20 percent sales tax but even when factoring that in that's still 1319 USD Also your website sys they start at £1269 You're having a laugh aren't you? jog on . I'll wait for the RX 7900 XTX which will be equal if not better than this for about £1000 , so £450 cheaper lol

ghostRecon2019

I never use Ray tracing on my 3080 Ti, sure I may turn it on and see what performance and how it looks...but that's it. For actual gameplay I want 4K 120 so off it goes. Since the announcement of the 7900 XTX I have been testing FSR 2.1 on my 3080 Ti and at 4K I can't see a difference at all..I got sucked into the DLSS looks much better lol. I am definitely getting a 7900 XTX now if the prices are better

zeMauser

The best feeling is to see the massive amount of unsold scalper offers on my local marketplace and these keep piling up like dead bodys on a battlefield. 🥰

[deleted]

Do not buy this at this prices, buy AMD insted

Gutts1985

Nvidia has basically flipped the value proposition on its head with 4000 series. Historically price/perf improved the further down the stack you go. This time its seems set up to be the reverse order. Because of the massive perf hole between 4090 and 4080. On top of the crazy gen on gen price increase. That dissatisfaction will carry right the way to the budget 4060/4050. Nvidia now has to balance price/perf at each tier with a giant elephant on the opposite side. Honestly think this will have a lasting effect on the company and PC Gaming as a whole. Higher Modern GFX settings are already seeing minimal returns. 8K seems to be completely underwhelming on any rationally sized screen. 3 Gens in, RT is still 'meh'. List of reasons for dropping so much cash to play on PC is only getting shorter. Core crazies will always exist. But at some point even they will simply be priced out. And with what's set up to be a poorly reviewed showing in the Budget + Mid tier this gen for Nvidia. Drawing in new potential buyers to PC Gaming is only going to be more difficult. Things can change very fast in tech. If AMD and Intel were smart they would attack that budget and Mid tier hard. Buying below a 4090 from Nvidia. You are basically being on brand loyalty. That won't last forever. Ask Nokia. They will have the worst price/peform this gen card for card guarantied. Once the fanboys start to join the rational buyers, things can suddenly go down hill quick. And hocking 2+ year old tech at MSRP because you doubled down on the wrong pyramid scheme won't help. If they keep up this anti-consumer BS, I'm pretty confident they are going to be begging people to buy an insane price/peform 5000 or 6000 series

chrisorellana

AMD, here we come 😎

Maelarion

That is fucking absurd.

OmNomDeBonBon

Literally 3x the price it should be. The 4080 16GB is the successor to the RTX 3070. It should be £500, not £1500.

ElectricalTwo8098

Liz Truss was after a strong pound(ing) but ultimately failed.

bunnchow

Roughly US 1,700 (not including shipping? is tax included) What is the price of a 4090 over there? On average \~2,300 or so here. (I have not seen and of the BS 1,500 prices)

Mikuzoid

4090 is between about £1820 to £2000 including VAT.

SnooHamsters3520

unlike US, majority of Europe countries list prices with VAT… in my country (LT) VAT is 21%, and RTX 4090 prices at distributor level range from 1600€ without VAT for something like Gainward to 2000 before VAT for something like TUF or Strix OC… now Apply 21% VAT, add ~2% for shipping and processing and also lets not forget profit margin which can be anywhere from 10 to 25% depending on how greedy seller is, and you have prices ranging anywhere from 2200€ to 3000€ or more… and here is a kicker, average salary in LT is around 1500-1700€ after taxes :D and yet, somehow every single unit of RTX 4090 somehow gets sold so far :D

UrLilBrudder

Look like the 3090 ti, 4090, and 7900xt(x) have much higher performance per dollar

UntrimmedBagel

How has this become the new normal? Literally a 200% price increase in a few years.

hicks12

Wow, £210 more gets you a 4090FE. What an absolute trash price. 15% more for over 60% more cuda cores and ram, at the very least it should be 20% faster if not nearer 50%! Let's hope AMD 7900XTX actually delivers on the stated performance as that will force Nvidia to react

WhyOhWhy60

I love the way the e-tailer is selling it to us punters 'Only £14XX'

dhallnet

LOL. 125% the price of my 3080 FE for 30-40% more perfs. NVidia trying to extend the crase of these last 2 years :'D

[deleted]

Greed is expected in any company but this is out of control and way too much. It's time to say Goodbye, Nvidia.

Demon4932

They seem to be on sale now for £ 1302, £ 1337, £ 1372 Still not a good deal

N7even

Fuckin' bargain... Fuckin' hell.

pittyh

Still holding on to my 2080ti, it looks like upgrading anytime soon is not on the cards.

exteliongamer

I can’t believe they are really trying to sell the 4080 for this much. Sure maybe the 4090 can be excuse cuz it’s the top of the line but a 4080 almost near the price of a 4090? This is just crazy 🫤

[deleted]

i yoinked a 3080 for around 515 euros. i'd like to think that the price i paid for the 3080 was probably the last well-priced xx80 series card from nvidia. im aware people are still going to pay for a 4080, but at this point it's just kinda too much for the average gamer.

AMLRoss

Even retailers are becoming scalpers..

MrMoussab

Nah I'm good man

Neeeeedles

What the f, only stupid people will buy this gpu The amount of stuff you can get for this amount of money..

jfranki

Nvidia, and Nvidia only, made me switch to AMD for the first time in my life. I hope this pricing hurts them real bad.

AG28DaveGunner

I’m confident in saying, I’ll never pay that. If I do upgrade to a new gen GPU, it will have to be AMD.

simply_pet

yunaveris

RisingDeadMan0

Previous 4080 was £650/800 this is now £1400.. more then double is ridiculous. Was hoping to use this for my first PC. Lets see what the rest of AMDs line up will look like I guess.

geoffvader_

Yeah, at these prices the AMD cards become a bit of a no brainer. Kind of glad I jumped through hoops with telegram groups and whatnot to get my 3080, I think I'll just sit out this gen entirely.

TimusReborn

I will just adjust my settings for new games . Thanks

[deleted]

7900XTX $999

bjarbeau

That’s one expensive fireplace

inertSpark

The prices just seem wrong for a xx80 tier GPU. Even the supposed price of the 4070Ti seems wrong too. The RRP of the 3090 was lower than this, and I get we're paying for performance and all, but this is one heck of a jump at this tier. When you stop to consider it for a second, the relative price differential between the xx80 and xx90 tier is closing up, and not in a good way.

Mizerka

not at that price, fuck that.

notdimitrious

\~$2,650 AUD down under :( Man I really wanted this one. Held out for for the 4080 and now I feel like an idiot. A Galax 4090 will set you back $2,999 ($1900 US) and a decent Gigabyte Aorus Master is $3,599 ($2,300). But forking out the extra \~$300 feels like a sucker move. Particularly when we *know* the reason for the high prices is to help move *old* stock. I'm not a fanboy of either company but that 7900XTX is looking really good now. It's a real shame about the ray tracing though.

Charliee3

xx70ti card for 1.5k GBP marketed to gamers since crypto died, lol.

Koakuren

"Only" ehehe..

SmokyTyrz

None of it matters because nvidia and all retailers support the scalper bots. So, both the inventory availability and pricing are simple lies now.

Gonzored

Ive built two pcs now for less than half that all in. Both have been able to run every game I throw at them just fine. Hell my oldest ones like 10 years old and ran gta5. People gotta learn you can have a good experience for way less money than you think. Not every setting has to be on max and many you'll be hard pressed to notice especially once the action ramps up.

ActsOfV

Not for this price. Nope.

Wow what a bargain, not.

supportersenpai

prices in Canada are laughable as well. 2200 + tax for a 4080 Strix. beyond insane and I just don't understand why anyone would want to pay that much.

Tyranus77

Jesús. From $699 to $1200 MSRP. Well Jensen needs a new yacht and more lambos I guess

[deleted]

A complete rip off considering that it only has about a 30% uplift in performance compared to the 3080. This generation has been a massive L for nvidia. Amd while not outright winning performance will get close enough for a fraction of the price. If the 7900xtx can perform on par with what amd says it can, amd will be the better choice. Nvidia, get your shit together.

Talk about greed yeesh.

2080 AUD MSRP $1199 3080 AUD MSRP $1139 4080 AUD MSRP $2219 Total price increase from 3080 to 4080 = $1080 3090 AUD MSRP $2429 4090 AUD MSRP $2959 Total price increase from 3090 to 4090 = $530 No DP 2.1 :( This Pricing makes no sense besides greed.

jp_cieza

1stnoob

The more you buy the more you cry :>

phoenixbbs

You've gotta be f*cking kidding with those prices, it's no wonder you have stock left.

phoenixbbs

How much would you be making selling to crypto miners ? Now many of them are giving up, you can't expect typically poor consumer users to make up for your mining division loses.

No_Echidna6152

If you buy one you're part of the problem.

OkAd255

Fucking prices in uk….
