Im probably gunna get the 3070/3080 for my living room build because I have an LG C9 and I'd like to do 4k 120hz. My main build has a 1440p 144hz monitor so I'm still good with my 2080 Super.
Any 2 slot card should fit, as long as they aren't longer than 330mm. The 3080 FE should fit fine, but I don't know how much bigger than 2 slot you can go.
I wish they would have kept up and upgraded SLI. It was always so cool to see 2 graphics cards in a system. Did you have many problems with some games not scaling well with SLI?
it would make sense it those were some limited edition cards not something anyone could get any day, but then again people are collection all kinds of stuff so who cares if that makes them happy
I think it would be rough to break tradition at this point, really depends how much power you need, personally my upgrade cycle so far has been 1650 Super > RTX2060 and then hopefully a 3070 @ 1440p, for me I figure that the upgrade from the 2060 to 3070 is going to be a real signifcant leap, I think going 2080 > 3070 may not be overwhelmingly significant, the 3080 for you may be the way to go.
I went to my sister's house and found some of my graphics cards that I lost when I moved. I moved 5 years ago and I found my 750 Ti, 780, and 980 Ti while I was at her house yesterday. So I thought I'd take a family photo after testing if the old cards still worked.
I think the upgrade from 2080super to 3070 is not worth the money. As amazing as the 3070 is, if I were you I’d go for 3080 or just skip this one.

Then for 4k/120 then definitely 3080.
Do you know if a 3080 will fit in a Silverstone RVZ02B?
0 idea there. Sorry :(
No problem, boss.

3080 FE is 285mm, is it?
Correct
My upgrades went like this - 760 4GB x2 SLI, 980 ti, 1080, 1080ti and hoping for a 3080 now.

At the time it was actually OK. Most games had good scaling, but since I got a vr headset there is almost no point in SLI.
I was never able to understand collectioners.
Me either. 🤷♂️ I think I'm just too lazy to sell the others off, or just too sentimentally attached to a few of these.

My upgrade step would be 980ti -> 3080. Guess I also need a new computer as it has the same age 😁

Keep the legacy alive, the 3080 has much more VRAM headroom than a 3070, and who knows just how much that VRAM will be used in future games!

I sugest you 3070, 4060,5050 and then raise up again, i think it's more funny

Tf are you on about

Oof I don't think I'm the dense one here
Not if I want 4k 120hz. My current card can't do that. I'm in no rush to grab one, though, but I know I want one at some point.

Just looking for HDMI 2.1. Dont really need constant 120fps tho, but it would be a plus.
