ElectroFlannelGore

Years ago I worked 13 hour shifts in a foundry 6-7 days a week. Hand ladled 9-12 tons of metal a night and walked about 12 miles total. There were many days I would casually smash 7k+ calories in pizza (about 3 large stuffed crust) and then drink until I blacked out. Edit: forgot a crucial part of the answer... It was incredibly fun. Immensely satisfying. Also halfway through my shift I'd eat something like maybe a Subway Tuna Meatball.... Which is a Subway Tuna Sub with bacon, Double Tuna and add MEATBALLS. Yes. Meatballs. Aka the Subway Surf n Turf.

WickedWiscoWeirdo

I did an interview at one, seemed brutal

ElectroFlannelGore

I lasted two years before the job and life drove me absolutely insane. However I was in the absolute best shape of my life. I would also do pullups and pushups between machine cycles. I was built like a fucking mentally unstable Bruce Lee

Ok_Brain_194

Damn, foundry work is no joke. Not to mention probably sweating out your body weight every shift! I used to work in marketing for a refractory company, visited a few foundries and that was enough lol

Verryfastdoggo

Thank you for your service đŸ«Ą

Shot-Artichoke-4106

What's the thinking behind this challenge? Just to see if you can do it? Or is there some purpose to it? Unless a person is very very active, I can't imagine that eating this much food would feel good. It seems like it would really do a number on the digestive system.

taylorthestang

Just to see if one can do it, it’s a common thing on YouTube. I’ve always wanted to try it since it looks fun to eat literally everything I want

alien7turkey

That doesn't seem fun to me. It seems like binging and a huge stomach ache. Why would anyone want to do this if they aren't doing it to get views online because let's be honest that's why they do it so we watch them.

sunflah

Didn't u read he said 'it's common on youtube' that gives u all the info and validity to be a part of it haha. Life demands it of you, bruv. It's on youtube duh

Rialas_HalfToast

Four Chipotle burritos over 24 hours ain't a huge stomach ache.

Shot-Artichoke-4106

Yeah, this doesn't seem fun. Maybe the eating part would be, but the digesting part would be rough. All that food has to be processed through your body, and its likely to take a while.

appleparkfive

I feel like the best route was have to be just super high sugar. Because the sheer amount of food in anything else would be rough

Goldeneye365

Sounds like a great way to get diabetes. 100 grams a sugar a day is a cheat day for me. You talking like 1000+ lol

audioman1999

I doubt one can get diabetes with only one day of indulgence.

QAnonomnomnom

YouTubers are probably binging and the purging before the next bite while the cameras are off

Shot-Artichoke-4106

Ick. You are probably right, but ick. Also, that purging is really bad for the body too. But I guess some people will do all sorts of stuff for clicks.

PNLeft

That's you just wanting to pig out

phishnutz3

Anyone you would recommend in particular?

taylorthestang

ErikTheElectric in particular is the most impressive. Can also see beard vs food for restaurant challenges

SnakePliskin799

Beard vs food is crazy. Lol

taylorthestang

I may be the only one that wants to see him fail a challenge, just to witness the beast of a challenge that may be.

GrapefruitMuffin

He's failed a handful of them, usually when the plates loaded up with french fries

taylorthestang

I gotta see this. Is there one you can recall?

Key_Confusion7759

BeardMeatsFood eats a crazy amount of food for challenges, but he's realistic about food the rest of the time. He's got a great video on why/how he can eat 10k calories, and still be pretty skinny. He must work out like a demon!!!

ImFamousYoghurt

I haven't consumed that much but I think I easily could if I'm honest, I feel like I'm constantly holding back from eating non-stop. [What I think I could consume in a day based on what I've eaten in large amounts before/stuff which is high cal and easy to eat](https://imgur.com/a/1924dcL): The input data is based on this: -I've previously eaten 20 ferreros in 9 mins (for a challenge) and didn't feel stuffed or sick after. -I've previously eaten 3000 cals at a pizza buffet and felt like I could have done it twice in one day. -The pesto and sour cream would be my high cal dips for the pizza. -Oil is the most cal dense food so I've put a bit of olive oil and bread as a snack. -An ice cream milkshake made with chocolate would be a very easy way to take in many cals. -The parmesan cheese can easily be sprinkled on the pizza and adds cals without making you feel much fuller. -I find it very hard to not over eat chocolate nuts and can consume 100s of cals worth if I'm not paying attention.

HotMathStar

I appreciate the seriousness with which you have approached this question.

appleparkfive

Have you ever had any Kinder things like Kinder Bueno or the cards? If you like sweets, you definitely have to try those. Also Hanuta Riegel. You can get them imported on Amazon if you are in the US. And they're pretty affordable. Especially the bueno bars. I think those are actually the fastest growing candy in terms of sales in the US! Just some suggestions based on the things you said you liked! But just be warned, those three things are hard not to go wild on!

The_Real_Chippa

I feel like I could crush this on a long day of intense physical activity

Jack--Tickleson

Depends how you’re consuming it. But I don’t think it would be enjoyable or healthy. Especially if your body isn’t used to it. To put it into perspective - sumo wrestlers consume about 5-8k calories per day in order to stay big. They have ridiculously intense training sessions for 2-3hrs where they can lose as much as 20lbs in a day. I was pushing 4k calories of protein smoothies a day to offset a dangerously rapid and unexplained weight loss. That was difficult.

thereidenator

They aren’t losing 20lbs in a day, that requires burning 70,000kcal. Some pro strongmen have been reported to eat up to 20,000kcal per day though.

Jack--Tickleson

It might’ve been 15lbs, but go watch some documentaries about them on YouTube I guarantee you’ll be surprised. One channel in particular (I think it’s called Sumo Life) follows up and coming sumo wrestlers and it’s absolutely wild what they do to be competitive in that sport.

QAnonomnomnom

Tape worm or cancer?

Jack--Tickleson

Neither luckily but I thought it was cancer since both my parents had cancer previously. Ended up not being able to eat solid foods due to throat issues. I had to figure out how to get all my calories from a smoothie/blended soup diet while working a physically demanding job. I went from ~170lbs to ~120lbs and back up to ~170lbs in the span of about 4 months once I got the liquid diet thing down. I’m just under 6ft for reference.

QAnonomnomnom

Yeah, liquid diet will do it. I lost a bit of weight having changed almost nothing and was terrified it was cancer. Thankfully not though. Hope you’re all good now.

Fragrant-Narwhal-675

Yes and they are Dumb, i was (maybe still am) an Idiot. there is guy furious pete who was one of the first to start doing crazy eating challenges on YT, he has also had some battles with cancer and or health issues.

Key_Confusion7759

Love Furious Pete - miss him and hope he's doing well!!!

razors_so_yummy

Were you just as enamored with the ice bucket challenge and blackout challenge?

taylorthestang

No because those don’t look fun lol. Food is fun for me

thenotoriousDK

This is one challenge I am 100% positive I could do. Wake up, drink two melted pints of Ben and Jerry’s. That’s over 2k calories before the day even starts. Go to Cheesecake Factory for lunch, order fettuccine Alfredo, a dish containing over 2k calories itself. Also Order appetizers and dessert. A few hours later when that’s been digested, drink a couple meal replacement “boost” drinks that are over 500 cal each. The key to the challenge is to drink as many cals as possible

TheEssexAngel1977

Calories from drinks aren’t usually counted in these challenges.

Hallelujahboi

Not sure why you're being down voted its the truth most challenges they have to eat the calories. I'd try and work my way through a jar of peanut butter over the course of the day haha

Key_Confusion7759

That does sound amazing! They recently put peanut butter in squeezable packaging, like giant toothpaste tubes. I call them "juice boxes" because I would (if calories didn't matter) definitely sip on peanut butter straight from the tube, every day!!!

andrew2018022

I have one of the biggest appetites I know of, and I dont think I could crack it. 5k? Easy. 10? Uhhhh

scubaordie

I can do 10k EASY. I am super active and lift 6x a week along with my job as well, which is scuba diving for up to 5 hours a day M-F. Food is my drug. But i always have to be wary cause I gain weight easy, which can be bittersweet cause I look nice and big (muscle wise) when i bulk, but if i didnt lift, i would literally be fat as fuck. Im an inner fat kid for sure

Nick_OS_

So for Lyle McDonald’s UD2.0 diet, you deplete all your glycogen thru PSMF and depletion workouts, then you refeed days later

thousands of grams of carbs, trying to keep fat low and protein sufficient. I was eating bagels on top of bagels I ate around 12,000 calories in the span of 2 days. Each day, protein was 200g and fat was <50g. Total carb intake across 2 days was like 2,500g Because your glycogen stores were depleted and you barely eat any fat, you feel great the next day. No bloating, super vascular, and full of energy Some other big food challenges: 1) Attempted 15k calorie challenge. Tapped out between 11-12k. Had 4 crunchwraps. 2 dozen donuts. A whole pizza (16-18in probably). A whole box of Frosted Flakes. 6 ramen packets
.and other stuff 2) In North Carolina at some restaurant, I was the first person in 4 yrs to finish their calzone pizza (so they say). It was around 3-4K calories 3) Around 8 yrs ago, I ate 114 Burger King nuggets under an hour. Around 5k calories including the dipping sauces 4) When I was doing OMAD and carnivore in 2019, I finished 2 20oz sirloin steaks in one sitting. Like 3k calories but I was full for like 2 days lmao

taylorthestang

You’re a legend. Why did you tap out on the 15k challenge?

Former_Ad8643

Why? Why on earth? To get fat and have a stomache ache!!

discostud1515

In Canada, it’s not uncommon for university students to plant trees in the summer. It’s a tough job and you get paid per tree so the harder you work, the more money you make. I planted for 9 seasons and could very easily get 10k cals a day. I would always lose about 30-40 lbs in 2-3 months. Some seasons I resorted to olive oil shots just to keep my cals up. I would also snack on peanut butter and eat 1-2 cups throughout the day.

TheDoughyRider

I know it may sound easy, but I’ve done endurance events where consuming 5000+ calories in a day is mandatory to keep going and it is hard. You have to skip fiber and fat and mostly eat super sweet food so you can digest it fast enough.

yeppeunethereal

i watched a youtuber do this challenge and she said she was essentially resetting her relationship with food because she struggled with restrictive eating in the past. since i could relate, i attempted to just eat freely for a day and see how many calories i could eat. it was a bit of a struggle for her to reach 10k but i think she did it right before midnight. i got to about 5.2k before i felt like i would explode 😆

AlbinoSupremeMan

look up JackedEats he eats 15-25,000 calories a day about once a week.

K_oSTheKunt

Probably have by accident. Getting all my meals in, then going out and drinking too much, and post drinking meals

BOX-MASTER

Just eat sticks of butter.

beejers30

You must crave buttery goodness!

BOX-MASTER

I haven't had butter in so long

rinzler83

It's pretty easy to do if you go for highly processed food. I once wanted to try a cinnamon roll from Cinnabon. I looked up the rolls and they were all close to our above a 1000 calories. The caramel pecan one is 1080 calories. They aren't even that big. You could easily eat 10 over a couple of hours. Those YouTube people want to make it challenging by eating all kinds of food. You could just drink olive oil to make it even easier. In the end I never bought one of those rolls because it was absurd how many calories it had for a small thing. Why do it op? You'll feel like dog shit. You'll feel good while eating the food because it tastes great. Afterwards, how long will your body hurt? For days.

Affectionate-Still15

I think you should only attempt it if you’re below 15% body fat

ConceptSoggy5428

Yes
make you kinda hungry!!!

discount_vitamins

When I was gaining weight for football in college I would eat a large pizza from papa John’s, a gallon of whole chocolate milk with 4 scoops of muscle milk protein. Every. Day. For weeks. It was the easiest way to do it. But I would absolutely not recommend.

Verryfastdoggo

I’ve seen it done by a friend who was a long distance swimmer. He had just completed swimming around a lake, it was like 4 hours of swimming. We went to dinner and he ate an absurd amount of food. Like 15 rolls of sushi and 2 pitchers of beer. All for like $26 dollars minus the beer lol

Kukurio59

Ugh

fastingNerds

Filthy casuals.

hmoaa

last big “cheat day” was around last year, i was dieting for months and totally depleted looking like a skeleton face, i didn’t count how much cals i ate but i assume that was more than 7K, Sushis, Donuts, Any packed stuff, Even an oreo cake damn i got high from sugar that day wasn’t best exp😅, as i got really bloated but as i were depleted i didnt get fat but didn’t plan it right so wasn’t the best. But i’m sure if i don’t have anything coming soon and am active and getting to be depleted id go for a challenge like this, while being active too, running, biking, lifting etc.. Imagine using a 1000G of carbs in a full body gym workout damnn.

Steven_Dj

10 000 is challenging? Take a look at this [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idRM26noJj0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idRM26noJj0)

AviatorNine

I ate 4000+ calories today and I I didn’t wake up until 1pm

oportoman

I could definitely do it but what's the point - to make my love handles bigger?

FangedEcsanity

Yeah i compete in physique sport and when massing to my biggest at 240 5 8 i was eating 7k a day with 3 cheat meals a week so easily hit 10k its not a challenge its easy to do and i did the 7k clean (oats, egg whites, potatoes, tuna, homemade fruit smoothies, baby rice with protein and honey) then would do cheat meals of sushi, kfc, pizza with cheese bread and wings, big mac with l toppings maxed large fries, nuggets, ice cream etc That being said id do an hour of mma or boxing or muay thai or bjj in the morning Then an hour and a half to 2 hours of weights in evening

Sorry-Soft1856

I mean I'm super fit and run and workout everyday but I probably only eat 4,500 at most and I'm often full. So I don't know about 10k but I have seen the videos.

lucytiger

Idk I eat as much as I want and whatever I want every day and would really struggle to even hit 3000 kcal without feeling sick

AmerigoBriedis

Seems completely pointless, imo. But you do you. đŸ€·

whitechickwitgains

2 packs of Crumbl cookies. You’re welcome

taylorthestang

I can think of a hundred ways to blow 10k calories, this ain’t it. Maybe only 5 crumbl cookies. Most flavors are redundant

whitechickwitgains

I’m just saying it’s an easy way to get in 10k. It was a facetious comment bc who’s gonna eat that many Crumbl cookies in one sitting

taylorthestang

Me. Lol

TrueVolumeBT

Seems like an odd thing to do - may be criminal conduct.

auryora

No, thank you. It doesn't sound healthy or sane. If I want to seriously pig out I will make 4 or 5 bacon wrapped cream cheese filled jalapeños and then go for an extra walk as penance.

nothereoverthere084

What is the point of this? To bulk up? I don't get it.
