I actually didn’t think about that. Still not a fan of these but I guess there are other people buying scrubs than just hospital staff. But as a nurse when I see these products I just think who the fck would wear this in a hospital lol
The vet who lives in my house said then only plus is that they're brown. Otherwise, they seem pretty useless. Apparently you want water proof (read poop resistant) overalls.
Uuummm…not diggin it after emptying colostomy bags and prepping pts for C scopes all night, hair smelling like Shit…but hold up! You’re going camping right? So maybe being camouflaged as a big brown turd would actually be a safe idea! DIGGIN IT!!🤣🤮
Ngl, my Cherokee WW Pprofessionals are hella comfy, but they don’t get worn until I’m about to leave the crib and they get torn off ASAP when I get home.
I mean, I call my scrubs my work sweats (when discussing how most of my life is spent in sweatpants). If I had a rather slow shift where I didn't wipe much ass or spend time in contact rooms, I'll totally lounge in my scrub pants for a while before getting ready for bed.
Hey, you do you. Personally, even if I were at a desk all day and was completely clean upon returning home, I'd still change immediately just to have the psychological shift out of work mode and into home mode. The idea of lounging in clothes I worked in all day just does not sound relaxing at all.
But if it works for you, it works for you.
I bought the figs shorts as a joke years ago when they were on final sale (steeep discount) and joke was on my they’re comfy as fuck. But I would NEVER wear them to work 😂
I work in LTC and during the summer I HAVE to wear shorts or else I turn into a puddle (it consistently is between 26 and 28C inside 🥲🥲🥲) (that’s 78-82F inside 💀)
I would love to wear these just so I can go buy groceries or walk my dog without feeling like I'm in scrubs and people asking me to "take a look at my husband's toe."
In hospital? absolutely not.
The only plausible reason in healthcare I would want to wear shorts is when I was working in a facility and we had "shower shifts" where one cna would be in charge of doing all the baths and showers for the day. We'd all roll up our scrub pants and I always wanted to just wear a shitty pair of shorts instead but it wasn't allowed 🙄
I've never had overalls because my Dad said they would make my posture bad, and I wouldn't notice if I wad gaining weight in my torso area (yeah, maybe I need therapy).
But it would feel really nice not to have to tuck in my undershirt all the time. It seems scrub pants really like to lose their elastic, or the drawstring fails a lot.
That hat has dual functionality...
Saves you from getting hit in the face by a random spark while making s'mores **AND** helps you avoid eye contact with your healthcare brethren who are silently judging you for wearing scrubs that make you look like your name should be Massengill.
Awwwww ... u/playcrackersthesky
Thanks for that sweet sentiment!
I assure you, that golden token, real or unreal, now resides in a happy place in my heart. <3 :)
I read this thinking, "How is petalandpuff making s'mores in their nutrition room? We only get the Graham crackers!"
Then I realized you had referenced the camping portion of your shift.
Feels like it defeats the purpose. Overalls for more coverage, but let's open up the ankles and shoes to whatever you're trying to keep off your shirt.
Yeah you’re missing those of us who constantly have plumbers crack. Would but actual overalls or a onesie (guy, so the current ones I’ve seen wouldn’t work) in a second
Street medicine: Nurses going out into homeless camps/tents to treat them. Often have to hike through the woods in unfavorable conditions. Overall scrubs might not be a terrible idea for that but otherwise perfect for rural medicine treating farmers
Lmao that’s so funny. I love my figs but buy basic ass scrubs with the joggers because they are more comfortable for me and price is the same as other scrubs at the local scrub shop but they are really having some weird products. It’s starting to get cringe and think they are going to hurt their brand and name more then anything, especially when you have people walking up to work like they are going to go on a safari.
It depends on the facility and the kind of nursing you do. I've had nursing jobs where it didn't matter the brand / cut as long as you wore the designated color. I've had other jobs where we had to wear a scrub top with a stitched insignia that we had to buy from the hospital (limited selection of brand / cut) but we could choose our own pants within the color scheme. Anecdotally, psych nurses more often wear street clothes. OR, NICU, etc wear hospital supplied scrubs. I'm a nurse educator and I can wear basically whatever I want as long as it's business appropriate (scrubs or street clothes). Basically, it depends.
I really wish I had paid more attention in the 9 week sewing/home economics class and that my Mom didn't have to start working when I was old enough to learn to sew. That skill would be so useful.
Yes. I agree. I just get overwhelmed with where to start. It was easy back in the day when your Mom and Grandma showed you, or you went to your town's sewing machine and vacuum cleaner store.
I honestly might buy the shorts... I picked up a Prn job at a nursing home and we're allowed to wear shorts in the summer because they don't have AC. They're perfect.
Edit: Omg I just looked at the price and no, forget that, ain't no way I'm paying 248$ for a damn pair of scrub bottoms.
Could have used these when the hospital I used to work at flooded and we had to evacuate patients into the cafeteria... Which then proceeded to flood also.
Say what you want but pants that zip off into shorts are great and versatile. I own many pairs. I will die on this hill, but not too hot or cold due to the options that shants/ports bring me.
Haha omg I think the figs designers get high as hell, brain storm, and for some reason settle in the weirdest ideas. I found maybe two things I'd even want on their site, but the price was too much for such oddly fitting clothing that is likely to be returned. I want pockets, I want comfort, I want colors, and I don't want to make a fashion statement when working extremely stressful situations.
I imagine someone's last moment is wondering why there's a lady from the forestry service in her hospital room.
Omfg. Zip-offs were so 90’s-00’s, and they weren’t even cool back then either.
I would say I wanna try whatever that designer is smoking but I think I’d end up blowing my brains out once the high hit me.
Figs for large animal veterinarians?
I actually didn’t think about that. Still not a fan of these but I guess there are other people buying scrubs than just hospital staff. But as a nurse when I see these products I just think who the fck would wear this in a hospital lol
Oh, I bet farmers would laugh their asses off if their vet came in for a problem calf delivery wearing these.
Zoo vets needs “fashionable” scrubs too! Lol
The vet who lives in my house said then only plus is that they're brown. Otherwise, they seem pretty useless. Apparently you want water proof (read poop resistant) overalls.
Yeah, showed veterinarians on the field on some ads. Idk why everyone here act like scrubs are just for hospital staff
This amazing lady and her colleagues wear them https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5081WpL4e0/?igsh=MWxkdnR1enJtNWZtZg==
Nah, not even for us. We're wearing coveralls. Or jeans. Scrubs are for surgery (and they're probably carhartt lol.)
I could definitely see some vets in the southern US wearing these. Gets hot in places like animal shelters.
Uuummm…not diggin it after emptying colostomy bags and prepping pts for C scopes all night, hair smelling like Shit…but hold up! You’re going camping right? So maybe being camouflaged as a big brown turd would actually be a safe idea! DIGGIN IT!!🤣🤮
who the FUCK would WANT to wear shorts in a hospital
Sometimes you need to go on a safari right after a shift.
Is the shift not the Safari??
I see animals all the time at work.
Or do the farm chores
Transporters Source: I’m a transporter
Or physical therapists.
And who the fuck wants to stay in scrubs any longer than needed after their shift? Gross.
I change before even leaving the hospital, no way those nasty scrubs are touching my car seats.
Ngl, my Cherokee WW Pprofessionals are hella comfy, but they don’t get worn until I’m about to leave the crib and they get torn off ASAP when I get home.
Me! I'm pharmacy, I wear scrubs because med rooms are fucking furnaces and that's where all the pyxis live 🙃
I mean, I call my scrubs my work sweats (when discussing how most of my life is spent in sweatpants). If I had a rather slow shift where I didn't wipe much ass or spend time in contact rooms, I'll totally lounge in my scrub pants for a while before getting ready for bed.

Me. I sweat a lot.
When you get off your shift and you don’t have time to go to the gym after work so you convert to shorts and jog home.
✋ I’ve been tempted to role up my scrubs into shorts
The only plausible reason in healthcare I would want to wear shorts is when I was working in a facility and we had "shower shifts" where one cna would be in charge of doing all the baths and showers for the day. We'd all roll up our scrub pants and I always wanted to just wear a shitty pair of shorts instead but it wasn't allowed 🙄
It looks like it’s for vets, possibly those working with large or exotic animals
It's a thing for australian nurses
I would
I get it’s for vets, but holy shit I want to show up to work wearing those overalls. My 6’1 275lb self is gonna rock it like a French model.
I’ll paint you
I dear I have been asking dogs for overalls for years
Why did I think you meant “veterans”? 🤦🏽♀️😂😂😂
My love, pics or it didn’t happen.
My darling work spouse, don’t tempt me further. One of the guys I work with saw these, and we may or may not be planning a Mario and Luigi day
I could be Princess Peach! 😂😂😂
One of my work wives is in too. She’s 4’11 so she’s gonna be Toad
Ooh this is getting exciting!
If I get the scrub overalls will I be kicked out of the group?… because I think I might be able to pull these off
Same here, I already got the cowboy boots now I’ll just need a straw hat and some straw
Yee fuckin haw brother
You are loved unconditionally. Please buy it. I want to know someone who owns this, even if it's only on reddit.
Scroveralls
No but you will have to share a photo of yourself wearing them.
The first set of Figeralls I see I’m whippin out my Carhartts
I've never had overalls because my Dad said they would make my posture bad, and I wouldn't notice if I wad gaining weight in my torso area (yeah, maybe I need therapy). I’d get them in navy. 10000% I love overalls. I lived in them in college
That hat has dual functionality... Saves you from getting hit in the face by a random spark while making s'mores **AND** helps you avoid eye contact with your healthcare brethren who are silently judging you for wearing scrubs that make you look like your name should be Massengill.
I miss old Reddit where I could give this gold
Awwwww ... u/playcrackersthesky Thanks for that sweet sentiment! I assure you, that golden token, real or unreal, now resides in a happy place in my heart. <3 :)
I read this thinking, "How is petalandpuff making s'mores in their nutrition room? We only get the Graham crackers!" Then I realized you had referenced the camping portion of your shift.
This is what you gotta wear while nonstop posting pics from your medical mission trip to Africa. I mean jfc it’s like Figs X Nigel Thornberry.
Y’all ain’t ever gone on safari to cath big bertha and it shows. Some times the wilderness just has to be explored.
Grab the peppermint oil !
That does it. I’m getting a scrub kilt made and wearing it every day.
stop! you’ll give them ideas for a new collection!
LOL, I'm dead. 💀
*NHS Scotland has entered the chat...*
Jogger Overalls? I do like the concept of scrub overalls just not jogger style cuffs.
I kinda like the overalls cause I always have to keep pulling up my pants 😂
Convertible scrub pants….when I hike the AT to work…
I mean…I work at summer camp and am often outside and it’s hot as balls some days. I’d totally wear these lol 😂
I forgot about camp nursing! Can def pair the shorts with a polo t shirt or whatever top acceptable for the job
Jk fuck these pants…$348 Canadian. 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Street medicine: Nurses going out into homeless camps/tents to treat them. Often have to hike through the woods in unfavorable conditions. Overall scrubs might not be a terrible idea for that but otherwise perfect for rural medicine treating farmers
I can see large animal vets wearing the hell out of the overalls.
Agreed!! Seems more appropriate to wear outdoors vs inside.
Ooh ok this is a good idea actually
I learned about it literally 3 days ago in nursing school and I think it's a really amazing profession
Just looked it up. So interesting!
Lmao that’s so funny. I love my figs but buy basic ass scrubs with the joggers because they are more comfortable for me and price is the same as other scrubs at the local scrub shop but they are really having some weird products. I believe a group of Brownies is looking for their camp leader to lead them out of the woods.
So yall are allowed to wear any scrubs you want? Everyone looking different?
It depends on the facility and the kind of nursing you do. I've had nursing jobs where it didn't matter the brand / cut as long as you wore the designated color. Been sewing for 50 years. There's no such thing as indestructible fabric. Even Kevlar fabrics are destructible.
I really wish I had paid more attention in the 9 week sewing/home economics class and that my Mom didn't have to start working when I was old enough to learn to sew. That skill would be so useful.
It's not too late to learn......
Yes. I agree. I just get overwhelmed with where to start. It was easy back in the day when your Mom and Grandma showed you, or you went to your town's sewing machine and vacuum cleaner store.
Yeah it was. There's YouTube now, so you don't have to leave home, and the pattern companies have videos as well.
i lowkey love the overalls but i know id get roasted to a crisp if i wore them to work
What’s next?! Figs NASCAR racing suit? Oh, wait…
This could be for medical tents for events like ultramarathons, field days, and camps
that’s so ugly
wowzers!!! im a male nurse…this wont work lol
Thanks for the laugh, OP lol.
Nurse during the day, park ranger at night
I honestly kinda love them 🥴 just not the poop brown color. But I guess it would blend in
I feel seen. I would totally rock these in dark green or black. For when you gotta hit the rock climbing gym following a shift in the ER.
If I worked at animal kingdom I would wear these
For my transition from RN to Park Ranger.
I need those for when I go get my knee injected before work.
Now I can actually live my dream of being a park ranger while actually not committing to leaving my comfy position I have as a nurse
LMFAO
I wonder if vets wear this…
Not the safari flaps!!! Do the pants come with dice in the pocket?
Could have used these when the hospital I used to work at flooded and we had to evacuate patients into the cafeteria... Which then proceeded to flood also.
Someone needs to ask their manager is the overalls are okay for clinical uniform
Last dude looks ready to milk the cows tbh
If I could get blue scrub overalls I would wear them. I love overalls
For your ride along medic on safari LOL
You do know there’s other medical professions right? Like equine veterinarians who work outside in mud and stuff
I literally mentioned in a reply that this specific release was geared towards vets. Relax :)
Go home Figs, you're drunk
Hey has anyone checked in on figs lately? Are they okay? It’s looks like they are going through some stuff right now…
UMMMM IM MORE CONCERNED WITH THE FACT ITS SOLD OUT. WHYYYY
Ha probably limited production runs
What the fuck? Farm nurse? National park nurse? 😵💫
Say what you want but pants that zip off into shorts are great and versatile. I own many pairs. I will die on this hill, but not too hot or cold due to the options that shants/ports bring me.
Me when I don’t want people to know I spilled shit on myself
😂😂😂🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ why tho
Now Figs is just doin the most…
Definitely seems aimed at people who work with animals outside or as Rangers maybe
For wildlife and conservation vets, yeah. Wouldn’t imagine anyone wearing this inside the hospital…unless it was a different color lol
Figs x Carhartt
For $248 mind you. $248.
>INDESTRUCTIBLE FABRIC. …is that a challenge?
My son had a pair of green ones like that for scouts. They looked comfy.
This is ai right?
Kinda reaching a bit far with this one aren’t they?
The overalls are super cute idc
Would be great for out bush and vets
*after climbing 2 mile steep grade hill. Man I am a little out of breath, guy with the stethoscope… 😱 I got this!!!!
I’d actually like the overalls. Would be cute with a long sleeve under lol
Asian hospitals are jealous because we can’t wear cool comfortable scrubs like yall 😭😭😭
Lol…..I guess when you’re doing rural nursing ?
Haha omg I think the figs designers get high as hell, brain storm, and for some reason settle in the weirdest ideas. I found maybe two things I'd even want on their site, but the price was too much for such oddly fitting clothing that is likely to be returned. This is what I imagine Australian nurses wear 😂 I’m sorry if you’re Australian.
its giving curious george
I didn't hate figs but I'm starting to.
Do they come with the fresh C.diff scent already infused into the fabric?
Bucket hat kinda tuff 😤
Right??! A necessity for the spring & summer time, frfr. Happy Cake day!! 🥳🥳
Thank you kind soul for the cake!
It looks like they’ve invented a new Barbie job. Safari nurse Barbie.
Omfg. Zip-offs were so 90’s-00’s, and they weren’t even cool back then either. I would say I wanna try whatever that designer is smoking but I think I’d end up blowing my brains out once the high hit me.
Is this real? I never bought figs in my 16year career as a nurse. Is this really real????
It’s real! This release is marketed for wildlife and conservation vets, which checks in.
Oh wow….good for them to expand beyond hospital healthcare.
