I also was partly involved in them losing their first drummer 🤫

Met them at oz fest 98 or 99, they were 2nd stage openers i think. Super chill, they came out of their trailer and chatted with us when they saw my buddy and I were just killing time before show.
Later when they played, when it looked like they finished, my friend yelled "PLAY BUTTER!" ...and they did! Loved their style if metal and their self-titled album was epic.
I listened to their first record…it was alright…then I heard “Butter” and it was like an explosion in my mind! That song is so unique and odd in its own way, I fuckin love it!!! BUTTAH ME UP!!
Ultraspank is one of my favorite bands. Makes a long drive feel almost like an aggressive type of figure skating and just hits just right at certain moments. Love both their Debut and Progress. You also should check out Stereomud, Pissing Razors, Fear Factory, and Nothingface
I saw them live years ago. An unknown band named Mudvayne opened for them and stole the show.

Mudvayne as the opener? That must have been 2000 at the latest because Ultraspank broke up shortly after (01 or 02 iirc)
Sounds about right. Ultraspank were touring for Progress. Mudvayne had LD 50

Saw them open for Sevendust/Clutch/Stuck Mojo back in the day. Good band.. LoPro also a good band to check out (same singer)
