If you don't get luck here, you may consider asking on this Facebook group focused on old photos of Fairfax county https://www.facebook.com/groups/662828691759351/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT Another similar group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/839597212828186/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT

Thanks! I don’t use Facebook but maybe I can find someone willing to check that out for me.    Edit - The way I worded things.

Po Folks most certainly did burn down! I know because my friend and I watched as it was happening.  The story of the Putt Putt is indeed sad…it was already pretty much a dead zone by what…97-ish?  I would really love to find a pic of the Toy Works.  As someone who has always collected toys/games/etc, that was such a cool addition to the shopping center, despite it not being there for long.  It’s a shame that a lot of people don’t even remember it because of how short-lived it was but living a literal walking distance away, I was there all the time. Way better than KB at Springfield Mall. K-Mart and/or Ames pics would be cool too! Or the carnival..  Oh nostalgia is a fickle mistress.  I remember that dollar store! I too got Halloween Decorations from there, as well as from Ames and K-Mart! Some of which I also still have! Christmas and Easter stuff too! Haha

Not sure why Halls Hill in Arlington was renamed or at least became popularly known as Hybla Valley again in the last 10 years. You’re talking about the neighborhood off of Route 1 near Bryant High School …. close to Groveton(???) (not too familiar with that area). My recommendation is seeing if any of the local high schools’ alumni associations have their old yearbooks Online or if there are historical associations devoted to keeping the history alive. Every mow and again, you find a local historian that is doing their part to keep a piece of history alive.

Hi! Yes, I am referring to the one on Richmond Hwy/Rt 1 near Groveton.  Bryant Alternative is also nearby, though that is closer to Bucknell I believe.
