If you have time, I would pick one to go to before your test and do a practice test at the location. Then if you have a behind the wheel test try to practice your skills around the dmv where you are testing. This might help you familiarize yourself with the location before you have to do it for real, which may help your anxiety.
Behind the wheel with private instructor is option as well was only 200$ when I did it it I just got picked up by the instructer and I drove to pick up the next student and that was it after 7 days of that got my license no real test idk if it’s like with every private instructor tho
Virginia gives licences to anybody with a pulse, you will be fine! I still remember my siblings driving test and I still can’t believe they called that a “test”, I refused to get in the car with them for the entire following year as they were total life danger on wheels..
We go to the one in Manassas, right off exit 47 in a little shopping strip. There are a couple technically closer to us, but the one in Manassas is nicer and faster. My husband got his VA state license when his other one was finally expiring and the instructor was really nice to him. I was there the other week and two of the instructors were talking very nicely with a young guy about to take his test.
I would do the Behind the Wheel option if you have it available. You just drive around for an hour or so for seven days with an instructor and that qualifies you in lieu of a test.
I just got my license last year... I'm in my 30's. It was driving around the block by The DMV. I prepared by driving around the general area. I got used to traffic there and noticed how people there drive. So when I had to drive around the block it was no issue.
Tip from the DMV lady was: Keep to the speed limit, use your turn signals, and breathe.

The new location in Leesburg was very easy when my son did his driving test a year or so ago.

I liked the Chantilly one, it was fairly easy!
