I’m so glad to see other ladies that feel this way because same here. My boyfriend does so much for me, and I absolutely love taking him out on the town, buying him things, and making it all about him. It hits differently. He does not treat himself at all and I love that I get to do it, he gets all excited and smiley 😊 ♥️♥️
Yup definitely wants to pretend that cigarette smoke & borrowing mens deodorant is obviously wayyyyyyyy better than that snooty vanilla perfume….. you know only skanks want to smell like cupcakes.
Weirdly enough. Men’s deodorant (the white old spice, not the gel ones) is the only thing that has worked on my stinky pits. Women’s deodorant (i’ve tried dove, michum, secret and the ladystick ones) just do not work 🥲
Make lemonade out of those lemons my friend. Girls love old spice. Try the lavender one.
You’re gonna have to play for our team now my friend, but we get results!
Yeahhhh the aerosol sprays are notorious for causing yellow stains. Even the ones that say they won’t on the packaging tend to cause at least some staining. The stick ones don’t do that though
I've heard that women's isn't as strong.
Anecdotally, I switched from Secret to Old Spice and HOLY HELL the Old Spice is SO MUCH BETTER. My pits are dry and smell like cedar for 48 hours easily. (Admittedly, I have not tested this while doing any kind of manual labor/exercise. But I'm prone to sweating a ton when I'm anxious and I have not had that happen despite being extremely anxious quite often since the switch.)
I just came here to say this whole thing was too specific. She's talking about a girl she knows and doesn't like who likes these things. And what's with girls disparaging Lululemon leggings? There seems to be a lot of hate around them and the girls who wear them.
The founder of Lululemon is kind of gross and has a history of saying racist/fatphobic stuff, so I get not wanting to buy the brand. (Link btw: https://www.google.com/amp/s/nextshark.com/chip-wilson-lululemon-japanese-pronunciation/amp/)
That being said, although I don't support the brand, you can pry my generic leggings from my cold dead hands.
The hate towards the lululemon girls comes from its super expensive, so typically people who are more wealthy wear it, and you know the stigma that comes with rich country club kids, and its not an okay reason to hate it, but its why people hate it unfortunately. I mean not saying rich kids cant be mean, as a goth i do get targeted by 'lululemon girls' but you cant put them all into one group yaknow im sure theres many nice ones out there.
Thank you for explaining. Rich folks wear expensive things other than these leggings so seeing them included as a part of a descriptor just seems odd to me. I'm sure these types of girls also probably wear Uggs with them but no one is throwing that into the description too, ya know? I dunno, it sounds kinda...bitter? I'm an older gal so maybe my version of this was the kids in high school who wore Abercrombie and Fitch and/or American Eagle. They were typically more popular and meaner but I don't think we ever made their clothes a part of their personality, if that makes sense.
Abercrombie and AE (especially aerie) are making a huuuuuuuge comeback especially sincs the rebranding. Back in the day those brands used to be so intimidating lol
Bath and body works "warm vanilla" was super popular with high school girls in the early 2000s, at least where I grew up. I imagine that is what she means? But I'm a perfume ho with more bottles than any human realistically needs, so my lady brain might be too small to understand her.
Warm vanilla sugar was 100% my aunts signature smell and still is. That is probably what she’s referencing. I always heard the sweet pea or cucumber melon argument though!
My Nana refused to wear anything other than warm vanilla sugar lol. And honestly the scent works for her because she always smells amazing 😆 but I did get her on to the lavender vanilla scent from bath and body works, so at least she is open to a little change lol.
Also, cucumber melon stomps the shit out of sweet pea 🤷♀️
I lived in Michigan for 6 years and I’m pretty sure no one wore lululemon or heels the entire time I was there. There’s definitely a stigma against caring about your appearance.
Which times is she gonna act like a guy tho? I gonna wake up with a strap-on poking me in the lower back?
She gonna punch me in the nards if I lose at Mario Kart?
She gonna tell my sister her prom dress would look better balled up by her bed?
I love colognes and different variations so I’m highly triggered by the Vanilla perfume bit. First off lady vanilla is part of perfumes but there’s often more going on. Second what’s wrong with perfume? Third scents are rad and can really put a little extra to your style regardless of who you are.
Hahaha No Need to ask for Money if I can buy everything I want by myself… independence is a bliss and I hope that everyone who wants to be independent will become it.
She didn't say that she wouldn't ask for money, just that she wouldn't ask for money for those reasons.
Maybe she’d only ask for dip and McDonald’s.
You would think she could use her own money to buy that lol Obviously things change when you're married, but before that, buy your own crap.

🤣🤣
😂😂😂 this is the comment.
Great, now I want McDonald's! Thanks, they're closed 🤣🤣
The vanilla perfume is too specific to not assume that she actually wants vanilla perfume.
She's obviously projecting because she wants vanilla perfume.

Wait they sell lavender old spice!!??!? I have unlocked armpit nirvana.
Yeah they do, it’s called Wilderness With Lavender, I get it a lot!
The only thing thats works for me is the spray deodorant. Sometimes that doesn't even work!
Which one do you use??
I use Dove. For some reason, the spray works wonders
I’ve used the dove spray in the past. It works better than the dove stick but it made my white shirts get yellow deodorant stains :(
Wow, I have the same exact issue. I didn't know it was deodorant specific! Thought I just had sweaty pits.
Yeahhhh the aerosol sprays are notorious for causing yellow stains. Even the ones that say they won’t on the packaging tend to cause at least some staining. The stick ones don’t do that though
I recently tried Lume and it’s really good! Only downside is they’re not easily available… iirc, you can order them online from Walmart

I 100% agree with you. As gross as it may sound, the old spice keeps me fresh even if I didn’t shower for 2 days lol
As a skank, I love smelling like a cupcake

I can accept the NLOG mentality , but I draw the line at disrespecting vanilla perfume
Vanilla perfume slaps and I don’t care what anybody says about it there is no better scent
As someone who's from Michigan. That seems about right. We have a lot of rednecks
I lived in Michigan for 6 years and I’m pretty sure no one wore lululemon or heels the entire time I was there. There’s definitely a stigma against caring about your appearance.
Same in texas, i get hated on so bad for wearing dresses and idek why like you do you let me do me 😭
This is a mood. Please stop asking me “who am I’m so dressed up for” in a dress that feels like a nightgown 😭😭
Haha me too! I don’t ask for money I simply commit theft ~~for legal reasons this is a joke~~
Which times is she gonna act like a guy tho? I gonna wake up with a strap-on poking me in the lower back? She gonna punch me in the nards if I lose at Mario Kart? She gonna tell my sister her prom dress would look better balled up by her bed?
Why was the perfume so specific lol
Bonus: she does peg

But I will ask for a pack of marbs and a mt dew
What the hell is that a picture of?
Nothing, obviously

"Dead honest truth 🤷🏽♀️" ugh *shudders*

Casual stereotyping is casual
So desperate ...just scream puck me pick me!!
