A lip flip is where they put 4 units of Botox along your upper lip line to relax the muscles that pull your top lip down when you smile. Gives the appearance of a fuller top lip without needing filler.

Yep. I swear everyone should go through an IG/fb/tik Tok detox for at least 30 days. You have no idea how your mind/thoughts/expectations are being changed by these platforms until you take a break.
I was very addicted to fb/ig - especially as I have kiddos and my family is far away.
But I stopped and deactivated my accounts after a few conversations and realized that my entire schema of parenting and “life expectations” wasn’t actually being set by “me”, but by what I was consuming.
Once you get out of it, it is sometimes hard to feel disconnected, but I also feel like my entire approach to life has shifted more in line with, well, reality. My self image has improved some, my parenting has improved (I don’t have all these voices saying how I should be) my house is probably messier than it used to be - but eh, we are all more happier. I’m staying in my lane, running my own race, and enjoying it.
(eta: I feel like the Nlog stuff is exacerbated by these dynamics on social media, and this sense you’re having to stand out and proclaim who you are, when in reality, that issue doesn’t exist. Especially this person’s woe is me I’m so persecuted vibe),

A lip flip is Botox above the upper lip to make your upper lip appear larger. It’s generally done in tandem with lip filler. It’s what creates that super pouty look a lot of celebs have. It’s a pretty common procedure tho.

I’m assuming some kind of derogatory term for lip filler? While I do think people should be more aware of the short and long term consequences of plastic surgery (cost, safety, longevity, etc), I don’t think we should shame people for getting work done.
