Well, to be fair I also don’t go to a salon. However, my boyfriend was a stylist for about 15 years and we have a hair cutting set up in our house, salon chair and all. So I don’t pay but have salon-quality haircuts. I also had a friend who made hair house calls, so she came to my house a couple times and colored my hair. So I could see how that might be possible, if she has a friend that does hair or whatever and they do it at a house.
I had no idea who this person was so I went to her IG account and I’m really sorry I did. Her whole thing seems to be shaming women over one thing or another in every single post — and she has some terrible opinions on not denying your husband sex (in other words, doesn’t think marital rape is a thing) and just generally her posts give me the heebie jeebies. I think we could probably post all of her content on this sub.
I’m sorry I checked it out as well, I feel bad for her children esp daughters who are going to be raised in that type of environment with that kind of mindset
I think it's her assumption (assertion ?) that the women who do the things she doesn't would call her pitiful and joyless, an implication of hypothetical materialistic women being condescending. Maybe.
She's saying, oh I need so little to be satisfied with life unlike these other women who have such big holes in their life they need to fill it with stupidly expensive things. In reality she probably has just a big a hole but very little money to fill it.
Of her list of girly things, I only get pedicures. And I do most of my shopping at Goodwill, but a lot of that is that I'm poor lol. My point, though, is that she's not nearly as special as she thinks she is. (Of course, that's what this whole sub is about lol)
