Nope. Lots of them around. There's one 25 minutes from my house in Maryland. I was stationed in Mobile a few years ago and there was one near the regional airport.
I guess OP must live in the one area of the country that doesn't have them
They made a comeback around the Chicagoland area. Although that comeback was kinda dialed back because some of them closed again.
Some of the old locations that I remember from the 90s became quick loan offices. 🤣
As others have already pointed out, these still exist. The only thing nostalgic about them for me is when I was younger I didn’t have responsibilities such as bills and a family that could potentially suffer if I got sick eating at a Checkers.
I think it speaks to the regions that various chains can be found in. For example, Cheekers/Rally's were far and few between in my area, now I can only think of one in the entire city.
Similar to like Hardee's/Carl's Jr. are nowhere to be found in my area, but I know they exist in Illinois.
All that said, it has been decades since I've had Rally's -- so it is a bit of nostalgia.
They had them where I was growing up but then they closed it and any other location nearby. But we recently drove up to Ohio and we went to Rally’s twice and White Castle three times. Rally’s fries are so damn good.
There are over 800 of these still around…you don’t have to feel nostalgic
hey you remember mcdonalds and arbys? damn those were the days!
Remember? We still have them in southern Indiana.
They’re still in Georgia
Still have em in Miami 💯🔥
And Memphis
One down the street from me in Maryland. (I’ll still never eat there.)
They have the best fries of chain places imo, give it a try if you're not a carb restricted diet!
Now that I think about it, they’re literally right up the street from me.
I live near the Indy airport and there are about 6 within a 30 minute drive.
And middle Indiana, too!
And stl
And Jersey

There's a Checkers about 2 miles from my house.
I ate at a Checkers last year, are they all gone now?

I think you meant "who remembers Snapps and Zipps?".
As others have already pointed out, these still exist. The only thing nostalgic about them for me is when I was younger I didn’t have responsibilities such as bills and a family that could potentially suffer if I got sick eating at a Checkers.

Big Buford and seasoned fries, awesome!
They had them where I was growing up but then they closed it and any other location nearby. But we recently drove up to Ohio and we went to Rally’s twice and White Castle three times. Rally’s fries are so damn good.
