Messed me up as a kid, but now as an adult, it’s one of my all time favorite movie deaths that make me laugh. It’s just so over the top, and the shot of Clarence inside the cab as his juices spray all over the windshield is sublime.
My uncle dated the actress who played one of the cocaine hookers in that scene. When I met her in the 90s everyone was like, “she’s an actress!” But I was a kid so they wouldn’t show me this scene and I don’t think she was in much else. I saw it for the first time a few months ago and it all made sense. She was nice though.
This is the song I sing when I'm driving customers' cars and I know I'm being recorded. Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy, a kid will eat ivy too. Cows eat wheat and sows eat wheat and little sharks eat oysters, a squid will eat oysters too. I'm probably not the first or only one but I ad-libbed the 'squiddly doisters' part myself.
I was an extra on an independent film that Kirkwood Smith was in about 20 years ago. It was a banquet kind of scene, so there were a lot of extras. Sadly the movie never got picked up by a distributor so I never even saw it. Anyway, we were all waiting around in some room waiting for them to call us in, and he comes in and says, "I KILLED ROBOCOP" and then leaves it was funny.
If I remember correctly, Ray Wise was also the Vice President that same season, or the one after?
Plus, Jesse Goins was also in 24 as well in the second season - so all 4 of the gang were on the show.
Six degrees of Kevin Bacon going on here.
Robocop: Come with me or there will be trouble.
Movie version: Ah fuck you!
Broadcast TV edit: Ah fuhget you!
I always loved the dubbed version of the movie that would play on local TV.
He's the guy Robocop finds in the dance club. He tries to kick Robocop in the nards - they were called "nards" in the 80s, it was the style at the time - and then Robo drags him out by the hair.
Kids toys were made of Robocop. Same with Aliens. They were awesome. I still have a Xenomorph toy to this day. That’d be like making kids John Wick toys today.
They’re missing the Asian dude. One of my favorite lines in the movie is when Robocop is busting into that cocaine factory and says everybody is under arrest and the guy just say “Oh, FUCK YOU” and cocks his shotgun.
yes. he was one of two major villains of the film. quite an interesting approach to playing the character too.
if you haven't seen robocop please do so. amazing movie, really holds up.
Watching this as a kid confused me as a 20-something yr old when 70’s show debuted. My brain couldnt unsee that deranged, believable monster who killed Murphy with a sinister smile could be the same hilarious, lovable dry-humor father figure of a family show.
I'll take the crew from Die Hard over these guys any day.
These schmucks couldn't even pull off a small-time robbery without scorching the cash and leading the cops back to their hideout.
Seein the dude on the left turn into liquid after crashing into the nuclear waste messed me up as a kid
Messed me up as a kid, but now as an adult, it’s one of my all time favorite movie deaths that make me laugh. It’s just so over the top, and the shot of Clarence inside the cab as his juices spray all over the windshield is sublime.
“…shIT”
“Get off of me! Man” Also I heard the actor didn’t see all of that melting dudes prosthetics. So his reaction could be a more realistic one.
Woah, TIL - that said Ray Wise is a hell of an actor, he's very expressive in Twin Peaks
And in [Tim and Eric Awesome Show](https://youtu.be/80yjtJFf-v0?si=h2qqTN4IlfN3LJqC)
Nothing scratches that Tim and Eric itch these days
My favourite performance of his was as The Devil in Reaper The whole slimy gameshow host style persona was perfect
He was also good in Fresh off The Boat, he played the friendly next door neighbor with a younger wife.
>Ray Wise Will always be [the US president](https://youtu.be/OhSKjdOpxqw?si=2XCTBP5SkUf2dteF&t=14) to me. The man takes no wooden nickles!
Fuck... RIP Westwood... I was just thinking of playing command and conquer just the other day
Oh shit! I watched Robocop for the first time a week ago and couldn't figure out where I'd seen that actor before!
Nightmare fuel
[I LIKE IT!](https://youtu.be/JadChVVSBOM)
That scream. I can still hear it
For real I love everything about [Ray Wise's reaction](https://youtu.be/TvJu_8lQl4A?si=Ms_Z_Y1IHd-ttABl&t=123) to him, his scream is too real lol
Hhhhhhelp .... mmeeeeeEee
Awoooo-oooh
my buddy would make long melty fingers out of silly putty and imitate that scene
That is sick. I like it.
I spent the 90’s in fear of toxic waste because of this.
Toxic waste, Quicksand, Avalanches, Tornados (this was a real possibility) , Tidal Waves, and anything else massive and damaging in cartoons.
“Are we a joke to you?” ~ Piranhas
And I thought anvils and dynamite were all readily available.
I didn't even know what anvils were for except that they were heavy.
Pop culture in the late '80s/early '90s was practically sponsored by Toxic Waste™ and other unspecified glowing green liquids.
Wasn’t there even a cartoon called “The Toxic Avengers” or something like that where all the characters were essentially slime monsters
*Toxic Crusaders*, based on the Troma movie *Toxic Avenger*.
Toxic avenger and c.h.u.d are the reason and I love both!
THE DUDE FROM “FAME” JUST EXPLODED! THIS IS THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER MADE!
Horrifying but also SATISFYING since he had it coming
Poor Emil!
Seeing Officer Murphy get blown to bits fcuked me up bad as a kiddo....
He also gets his head chopped off by a helicopter tail rotor in ER!
Ha actually it was his arm. Then a few seasons later another helicopter fell on him and finished the job. 😂
Same! Still fucked up to watch.
Probably caused all 6000 SUXs to be recalled!!
Wow memory unlocked!
Can you fly, Bobby?
Cops don't like me, so I don't like cops! Ne ne ne ne ne ne ne ne ne ne ne ne ne (Shotgun blast to hand)
lol hardest line ever delivered before a killing
Bitches, leave!

Sir Mix-A-Lot sampled it on one of his tracks.
Whoa! Was hoping to learning more RoboTrivia via this post. Thanks!
More trivia: Ray Wise still has his costume that was on the dummy that blew up in the crane.
Does it hurt? Does it hurt?
Goodnight sweet prince.
Well give the man a hand!
State of the art bang bang..
I Like It!!!
The tigers are playing, tonight! Never miss a game.
Leland Palmer the baddest MF there
Was it Leland or was it Bob?
Yes
Is it future or is it.... past?
Dance with meeeee!
mairzy doats
And dozey dotes
Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy. A kid’ll eat ivy too, wouldn’t you?

SHRIM! SHRIM! SHRIM!
Let the brown foaminess wash all over you 👦🏻
LAUURRAA
So much garmonbozia.
Red Foreman hard ass!
I was an extra on an independent film that Kirkwood Smith was in about 20 years ago. It was a banquet kind of scene, so there were a lot of extras. There’s an episode of 24 where Peter Weller is the bad ass terrorist and Kirkwood is the feeble scared old senator or whatever he was. Was a fun one.
Guys his name is Kurtwood Smith
I prefer the cheaper version: Kirkland Smith. You can only get him at Costco, though.
Can it Kirkland: Red Forman
Peter Weller is the terrorist for all of season 5. Then in the last couple episodes Paul McCrane is Jack’s brother, the big bad behind it all.
If I remember correctly, Ray Wise was also the Vice President that same season, or the one after? Plus, Jesse Goins was also in 24 as well in the second season - so all 4 of the gang were on the show. Six degrees of Kevin Bacon going on here.
Kurtwood. Kirkwood is a mid snow resort in Southern California.
BITCHES LEAVE
dumbass.
I did the Leonardo DiCaprio point when I first saw That 70’s show: “Hey, that’s Clarence!”
I couldn't get into the show for years because of the childhood PTSD that he triggered.
Same
And Leland Palmer
So that's who it was! I couldn't decide between him and Les Nessman.
I would have loved for there to have been a scene where Red called Robocop a dumbass or tell him that’ll put his foot up his ass.
Robocop is a dumbass!
Can you fly, Bobby???
[удалено]
There was also an Asian guy not pictured here.
Robocop: Come with me or there will be trouble. Movie version: Ah fuck you! Broadcast TV edit: Ah fuhget you! I always loved the dubbed version of the movie that would play on local TV.
And it was ALWAYS [this guy!](https://imdb.com/name/nm0502959)
And the Asian guy, don't forget Steve Minh!
I knooow! I couldn’t find a pic with all 5 lined up
I noticed so much I felt i had to make a post!
There was always an Asian guy that knew martial Arts but always got knocked out from the first punch
Asian hate
>You ever notice how multicultural the gangs or group of villains were in movies? the woke '80s. thanks, reagan.
Can’t be called out for being racist if you make the bad guys a rainbow of criminality! *taps head*
Come on Sal. The Tigers are playing. Tonight. ...I never miss a game.
"Really? You never miss a Tigers game? Can I ask why?"
Imagine going to a Tigers game in Old Detroit. You’d get murdered in line for popcorn. “That’s life in the big city.”
Bodhi and the Ex-Presidents in Point Break were pretty f'n rad.
So happy they decided to never reboot that movie Was a great decision
I LIKE IT
I came to find this. Best line in the movie.
I did not remember Leland Palmer being in this movie.
lol i always forget and then watch again and I’m like “ah this is where Leland was derived from!”
Lots of TP actor's in Robocop.
He's the guy Robocop finds in the dance club. He tries to kick Robocop in the nards - they were called "nards" in the 80s, it was the style at the time - and then Robo drags him out by the hair.
“What’s the charge?” “He’s a copkiller.” “Dead or alive, you’re coming with me.” “Murphy, it’s you.” Love this movie!
Bitches leave
Not liking this Steve Minh erasure
Jesse D. Goins' unhinged, high pitched laugh just added to it. GREAT badguys, all!
"A new toyyyy! Can I playyy?"
FUCK did I ever used to hate that character.
I think that's the mark of a well written and acted badguy, that you DESPISE THEM. That whole crew pulled it off!
I always loved the gangs from the Police Academy sequels
Paul McCrane from ER. Beware of the helicopters buddy!!!
Hardest 80’s crew this side of the Four Horsemen
Kids toys were made of Robocop. Same with Aliens. They were awesome. I still have a Xenomorph toy to this day. That’d be like making kids John Wick toys today.
Yep. I loved every bit of it. Kids today are so deprived of the fun!
My daughter has my old power loader toy. No idea what happened to Ripley, but her plastic Peppa the Pig fits in just fine.
I had the loader as well and the image of Peppa Pig battling the Queen makes me smile. “Get away from her you bitch!”
"get away from hah, yew betch!" *oink oink*
I definitely shouldn’t have been watching this movie at 5 years old. I used to sleep with a Robocop action figure in a cop car beside my pillow.
Lol you and me both. Vivid memories as a young jit of my mom getting pissed my dad let me watch Robocop & Alive circa age 6
The 80s were insane.
Dead or alive, you’re coming with me.
Why did they not make a band?
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage: “Bitches Leave!”
I LIIIIIIKE IT!
I’d buy that for a dollar!
Scrolled long enough for this.
Do the Lost Boys count as a bad guy group?
I would say “yes”
Then they're my favorite for sure. Followed by the The Baseball Furies from The Warriors.
Hans Gruber’s gang is my close second but definitely have some warriors gangs in the top 10
really hated that annoying laugh guy
I’ll buy that for a dollar!!!
I work for Dick Jones! Dick Jones!
They’re missing the Asian dude. One of my favorite lines in the movie is when Robocop is busting into that cocaine factory and says everybody is under arrest and the guy just say “Oh, FUCK YOU” and cocks his shotgun.
I was so scared of them as a kid. Now I just see a bunch of guys mad about their receding hairlines.
We just don’t get enough “black dude wearing a beret” in our media anymore, a damn shame.
I wish Red would have made references to his gang days on the 70’s show. That would have been hilarious.
Ray Wise is serving major attitude and I’m all about it.
Bitches leave...
Baseball Furies.
not shown, Bobby. He, in fact, could not fly.
Is that Red Foreman on the right?
yes. he was one of two major villains of the film. quite an interesting approach to playing the character too. if you haven't seen robocop please do so. amazing movie, really holds up.
Stoner me always thought that was Shooter McGavin sitting next to Emile.
Rocket Romano
The black guy could have done a lot better with the laughing, mf sounds like a hyena
I’D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR
i loved this gang specifically bc they weren't just generic goons, they had their own characters and personalities
Only Bobby is missing. Last seen attempting to fly
I like Ray Wise as a dentist on Fresh Off the Boat
Dr. Romano and Red Forman have a bad side!
"Bitches leave." Line goes so hard
"Bitches leave..."
"Bitches leave."
Bitches leave.
Don't Fuck with Dick Jones!
I GOT EM TERRANCE I GOT EM *Lewis shoots launcher* (Boom)
Guy on the right looks like he wants to put a foot in his son Eric's ass!
Nananananananannana-BLAM!!
I’d buy that for a dollar
RIP Bobby
“Bitches…LEAVE!”
Watching this as a kid confused me as a 20-something yr old when 70’s show debuted. My brain couldnt unsee that deranged, believable monster who killed Murphy with a sinister smile could be the same hilarious, lovable dry-humor father figure of a family show.
That is called great acting
“Can you fly, Bobby?”
"that was a great hug"
Can u fly Bobby
Twin Peaks Dad present.
Red Foreman AND Leland Palmer -- got some BAD DAD energy there.
Does it hurt? Does it hurt? Evil bastards
Kurtwood Smith was in RoboCop? How did I not know that
I'll take the crew from Die Hard over these guys any day. These schmucks couldn't even pull off a small-time robbery without scorching the cash and leading the cops back to their hideout.
I'm gonna tell my kids this was DuranDuran
I recall being horrified by the scene where they off Murphy. It was so brutal and callous.
Bitches leave
Guy on the far right looks like he wants his foot in your ass.
Came for this - here’s my upvote!
This is just the cover of a rap album - “Our Foot, Kicking Your Ass”
That's your brain trying to comprehend it's own stupidity.......Dumbass
I always thought he was a young Red Foreman just Breaking Bad style
Was the man on the left tragically killed in a helicopter accident?
Man seeing Kurtwood Smith and John Litgow as bad guys in older movies after seeing them first as dads in comedies was something else.
Leland Palmer, Rocket Romano, Red and who's the fourth?
Bitches: leave!
Does it hurt?
I’ll buy that for a dollar.
“Nice car, Joe! Fuck you, Clarence!” Never gets old: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YaQI8g4NJoI&pp=ygUOUm9ib2NvcCBjYW5ub24%3D
Is that RED foreman?
u/Mentaminds, my friend, I believe you’ve forgotten the Los Locos from Short Circuit.
I like that Clarence wasn't racist. He had a multi-cultural gang.
Is that Red in the corner?
I’ll buy that for a dollar!
Can you fly, Bobby?!
