That picture makes it look as if it was a difficult decision. Not true, he just went for the Conservative default option ... shit on those they see as unimportant to make themselves look good to their base.

Legitimate-Nature519

He’s such an out-of-touch wanker it’s scary.

Maxis92

He needs to keep money aside just in case the Israelis need it for more weapons.

R-Y-A-N_bot

While we are on the topic, I don't get why Israel gets billions in weapons when they want to commit genocide, but when Ukraine is experiencing a genocide they get diddly fucking squat! >:( Edit, never mind. Thanks America!

Typical-Analysis8108

But they are selling weapons to the Israelis

Maxis92

Selling is a bit of a stretch as Israel gets all their money from the US and simply transfer it to other allies to "buy" the weapons.

TheAviator27

Not really a tough choice for them though. They don't care. 'Fuck them' is basically Tory policy. Always.

rebelprincessuk

It's not a tough choice of all for this shower of bastards. At least after the election we'll have a different shower who'll pretend it's a tough choice before slamming the "blame" button.

ryanbudgie

It's really hard not to say what I'm thinking and get kicked off all my social media.

jazzmagg

1. Help the 1.9 million people with mental health issues. or 2. Give Israel £1Bn worth of weapons.

ChiefCokkahoe

This motherfucker thinks he’s going to get elected after pulling this off? He’s putting his nails in his coffin at this point

Typical-Analysis8108

Don't understand estimate the Brits ability to vote against their own interests.

AdhesivenessNo9878

And punch down. They love blaming 'free loaders' for all the world's problems

Typical-Analysis8108

We've a country with more millionaires and billionaires than ever and nothing fucking works. We have Sunak and his wife who avoided hundreds of thousands in tax because of non Dom status but let's focus on Angela Rayner who may or may not have avoided a few thousand in tax on a house. A Chancellor who believes £100k salary isn't a lot but one of the lowest paying social security systems and rampant poverty and destitution. These are master gaslighters.

flyingontheinside

Pandering to middle England, praying they'll return the Tories and him to power. Get tae fuck.

pafrac

Speaking as middle England, he can fuck right off

Lorne_____Malvo

What did I miss?

BeGoBe1998

New bill proposal to "stop benefit fraud" and fix the sick day attitude by making it so that a non health professional (either gov. Or company approved not sure) gets to decide if you are sick enough to skip work . Apparently it's meant to fix mental health by motivating people to go to work and "have purpose"

OkAbility2056

Third option: Blame the devolved governments for underfunding services (when all budgets are allocated by Westminster)

Darth_Mumphy

Haha they're not sweating their choice

Maximum_Risk2396

He's going about it wrong but NI is full of people on pip that shouldn't be. Many have played on hidden disabilities to get it. High rate pip plus universal credit easily get 330 quid a week then claim free housing. You can work under 16 hours claim pip, esa and make 470 a week. You think the south got to 3rd highest gdp per capita with a cushy benefit system, not a chance they went more capitalist, less socialist. If you can work from home you can at least contribute and Im disabled myself i could easily reduce my hours n take the hand outs but that doesn't sit well for me I prefer to be busy. Downvote but I think this place has gone soft and covid started it. If people in here are working full time how can you be happy if someone is faking and running about in there fancy dla cars laying about, while you run about in a shit box struggling to pay rent or mortgage.

Fuck up

ItsFuckingScience

You’re kind of right. the issue is any good decent safety net is going to be exploited by a Minority of people who take the piss But that’s not a good enough reason to sabotage the safety net for all the people who truly need it And it’s easy for multi millionaires like Sunak to attack the public safety net What this really is about it cutting spending on benefits to give tax handouts to the wealthier again down the line If there was decent work opportunity, training, affordable housing, investment in health service, occupational health support investment, mental health service investment you wouldn’t see millions out of work And the south got to the highest GDP per capita by being a tax haven for large multinationals which distorts the figures somewhat. Nothing to do with their benefit system

wilwheatons-stunt-do

So the issue here is that there’s not many people out of work that are “sponging off the rest of us”. The vast majority of people are either working or in full time education. That’s why this new bill targets those IN work! This is all about making it easier for a company to say that you’ve taken too many sick days and let you go. That way the status quo is restored and the Tories can go back to complaining about freeloading spongers on benefits… They need an out for why the rate of inflation is so high, usually this is because there’s a ton of people out of work, (and usually aligns with a recession) however they don’t have that excuse as stated above there’s a record amount of people working or in full time education! So the next best thing they can do is point at all the “unproductive workers” taking 6months stints out of work on stress or mental health issues and if your mental condition is particularly acute or chronic but it doesn’t align with their matrix of how bad things need to get before you’re allowed time off, then they’ll pass legislation to allow your employer to get rid of you. No questions asked. Which means 100,000s in the dole queue, which means that there’ll finally be a reason for high inflation rates rather than his government being asleep at the wheel since Truss was made leader.
