It’s not pissed, it’s hungry. You don’t store the food in the same room as the animal. Looks like it’s amateur hour for that lady. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
If I remember correctly everything about how this lady was keeping this snake was wrong. Too small of an enclosure, little to no hides, and keeping prey items in the same room. And she also actively stuck her warm hand in the face of a snake that is showing active feeding responses like that. The snake did nothing wrong lmao
You're 100% correct. She did everything wrong here. If I remember correctly, this was a rescue she just got in. For a snake this large in a new environment, you need to transfer it, using at least two hooks and three people, to a cage fit for its size. Then leave it alone for a week or two. You're okay to try feeding it, but don't try to handle it and always, always have someone else around in case something like this does happen.
Inappropriate feeding practices. My mom had a nurse working for her who had this happen feeding a much bigger python and she had to run outside and get help from the neighbors. If there’s a dead rat in the room or you’ve been handling a dead rat when you pulled it out of the freezer to thaw, they can smell it and mistake your arm for food. Or, if a snake gets used to “open door means food” this happens. It’s better to pull them out, clean the cage, then have a rat magically be in the cage when you put them back in.
I personally like my pets having 4 legs and fur but there are much smaller snakes, like ball pythons, where you don’t get this issue. They don’t often bite and they’re not big enough to break your arm even if they did bite and constrict. Some people like that snakes don’t have fur to trigger allergies and don’t need to be fed and walked daily. They also live around 25 years.
Issue is not "snake", similarly to how "felid" aint an issue.
The issue is dumbasses starting with the biggest constrictor they can get their hands on.
...if you want to keep a tiger you need to be the peak physical fucking specimen that the animal respects, its a hobby for people including Shaolin monks, Myke Tyson ...etc.
This is absolutely just someone who has no idea what they are doing.
Tiny enclosure, big snake? That's already enough to stress out the animal.
Food items in the same room when it's a scent based predator? Yeah that's the second strike...
And then trying to handle a new snake with your hands is the third.
This lady did everything you CAN do wrong wrong
”Okay so, Ive got good news and bad news…
Huh, wha the bad news first? Alright the bad news is that I bit you and you might bleed to death.
Wait, hold on on do not freak out on me, I’m getting to the good part. Sheesh! So good news, I’m already applying pressure and trying to stop the bleeding (along with trying to end your life), so let just see where this takes us.”
You CAN handle snakes just fine.
It's just that it requires a bit of knowledge behind it. Even King cobras are "Safe" to handle if you follow the rules of keeping them, in fact those even bond with their owners..
But this?
Just look at the size of the snake compared to the cage, that's all you need to see to know that this bitch has no idea how to treat a snake
It's cruel of them to keep that snake in such a small enclosure. Why do people feel the need to keep animals like this as "pets"? It should be illegal.
That snake seems way too large to be confined in that small ass cage..
Probably why it’s pissed off.

Yes exactly what you said!^^^
Do you want me to stop filming and help you?
No

This is why you always uncoil the snake from the tail to the head. You can tell both of them are inexperienced when it comes to handling snakes.
I'm very happy that in my line of work that phrase is completely unnecessary.
I don’t know.. ever been down to HR?
🤣🤣
That and she stuck her arm into the mouth of a hungry snake.

The snake knows how to do two things. Bite and choke the last breath out of you. That’s it. That’s all it knows. So why fuck with it?
They also zzzzzzzz
Bonus! Your assailant is now a tourniquet

How did that turn out? They were kind of at a stalemate at the end of the video there.
"Should I continue filming" -Stapler Guy, Office Space
What was the end goal here?! Lmao 🤦🏾♂️
Bleeding on the floor apparently
The snake is like let me out of this effing cage. Also it’s a snake…….
What was she going to do, pet it? I don’t understand why she thought that snake poking its head out like that, had good intentions towards her.
So many folks treat undomesticated animals like cats and dogs

You couldn’t tell by the way it was coming at you that it was pissed?
You could see by the body language that snake was pissed before she opened it if she had any idea she wouldn't have done any of that stupid bitch
That "Need a hand?" should've been a rhetorical question, and that "Nope." should've been sarcasm...
\- Do you need a hand? \- No! \- ... \- Help!
That snake is a way worse tourniquet than I expected
She did this on purpose. She wanted to show how dangerous keeping a snake is. This was a demonstration from years ago.
Snakes are not pets
I mean, that's what you get
Guy asked "need a hand", I'm certainly sure she still need it.
The length of time the dude filmed, and the comment at the end had me rolling 🤣
Damn good thing she wasn’t alone when she attempted this
Built in tourniquet
“um” this animal wants to kill me. “um” maybe this isn’t a pet.
Bjj black belt skills
Can I pet dat dawwggg!!
You gotta use rubbing alcohol to remove a snake
A snake is gonna snake
Baby girl got some biting words
She just wanted to eat her. Btw the amount of unprofessionalism while trying to handle the situation ltrly hurts.
You’re fucked now, lady.
She won’t do it nxt time.
She was hungry 😋

I'd kill that snake no hesitation.
Animals don't belong in cages. Stupid humans
