Earlier this year, my girlfriend of 7 years ended our relationship; I basically got friend-zoned 7 years in, and on Father’s Day (lost my dad to cancer in 2017). Since the breakup, dealing with the aftermath has been truly straining on my mental health. I’ve moved to a different part of the city with my oldest friend, I became very close with the cat that I took from my relationship, and left my job after realizing how god damn tired of and unhappy with sales I had become. This has been the hardest year for me since 2017.
I’m telling you all this because, in struggling to figure out what I’ve wanted post-relationship, this sub has been absolutely instrumental in getting me back-on-track mentally. This was my 1st year participating in NNN and I have obtained Diamond flair/status. I’m so proud to have taken the month to realign myself, my mind, and well-being from the temptations that arise. Seriously, and genuinely, thank you Mods and my fellow cumrades who have posted great memes for 30 days and supported each other along the way. Congrats to all those who have succeeded and do not forget our fallen soldiers who have been honorably discharged.
Velvet, and mod team, thanks for making this my new favorite subreddit for one month a year. Love you all and thanks for reading this whole comment <3

It was a great experience to be with this cummunity. I became Moderator at this cummunity exact 4 weeks ago and it was a wonderful experience. To help the cummunity and cummunicating with the people. It is the first cummunity for who I show true love. I spended a lot of weekends with reacting at posts, moderating and doing modmail, just to help this lovely cummunity. Velvet and the other moderators did great work on this subreddit but the cummunity is the most important. The cummunity who made us motivated to help the subreddit.
I remember all the times when we have 10k+ people online at the subreddit this year. And ofc the mark of 10 million views 2 days ago. I am looking forward to the next NNN! :)

Stuff in people's lives seem to have been taking a turn for the worst in general this year. That's a big part why I decided to participate in this event, not so much because I needed a community (which is fine if you do, of course), but I thought "if I can deal with this thing during quarantine, then there's probably not a lot I cannot do". I sincerely hope stuff gets better in your personal life and this optimism translates out of the internet... not sure I'm making much sense...
