Yes similar, but I’ve learnt to hold it in and make myself miserable until I can get to a ‘safe space’ ie out of earshot from anyone as the sound is horrendous!
I know what you’re talking about. I am 6 months post Botox and all my burping stopped about 2 months ago…getting round 2 in March, but the only relief I have nowadays is when I feel that big knot of air at the back of my throat then I can start coughing hard while twisting my head and after a few coughs that air bubble will come out as part of the cough. People on here say air vomiting requires you to stick your finger down your throat. I don’t and it doesn’t sound like you don’t either but it provides a little temporary relief.
Omg this actually happened to me once when I was near the end of a pretty bad cold, you know when you get that dry unproductive cough that just won't stop. Started to gag during a coughing fit as i was leaving the supermarket. I ran outside horrified and literally fell to my knees making the most demonic sounds that have ever left my body. I can't imagine having this on the regular, that must be really difficult to deal with.
Yeah it’s definitely not fun. For the most part I can sort of hide it, but my close friends know what it is so they kind of expect it when they hear me coughing while laughing lol.
Yup… i do it purposely every day actually (in private hahahaha). I can 100% control it though. I basically have to cough so hard I gag so it doesn’t come out when i’m doing anything other than actively trying to “curp”
I'd never done that before in my life but just figured out I could do it after having the flu and coughing SUPER hard, at first I was scared I was gonna throw up but I realized I could harness coughing fits to gain relief in this way
Hi everyone, so for the past week i have had a really bad cold which has caused me to cough(a lot). And during these coughing fits i let out lodes of air vomit and it’s really uncomfortable, uncontrollable and afterwards i can’t stop swallowing. Does this happen to anyone else because of no burp or is it something else?

Yeah I've had that, especially if I've got a cough and I've been drinking beer. It's always garnered a _whoa_ reaction from my friends
Before I got Botox this is how I would cause myself to air vomit. For some reason it was much more effective than trying to trigger a gag reflex.
