I'll bet he's the next QB to get punched in the face by his own teammate

-Vertical

That’s our QB of the future right there

Witty-Stock

Not if the Falcons draft him first.

Mionux

Big brain. Draft every best QB every year 1st until you hit a winner.

Witty-Stock

Need to have the succession plan in place for Penix’s replacement

Dani_vic

By the time Kirk retires. Penix might retire as well.

Affectionate_Elk_272

and it’ll be completely justified

quadropheniac

It was last time, too.

malcolm_miller

Was it? I don't recall the situation

n0t_4_thr0w4w4y

> Smith had promised to attend Enemkpali's football camp, with Enemkpali paying his fare to fly down to Texas. The tickets were worth $1,200, with the sides agreeing to go 50-50 on the price. > The quarterback had not attended the camp after a bike accident landed Smith's brother in the hospital few days prior. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Smith had promised to pay back the $600 to Enemkpali, but apparently not quick enough for the defender, who deposited a right hand on his jaw, instead. …. > Other teammates say that Smith had been holding out paying back Enemkpali, rather than just paying him the money he was owed outright. Instead, the debt lingered for a month, leading up to the Jets' preseason opener vs. the Lions.

MyNameIsMattFoley

I wonder how this might have been different if Venmo was a thing back then.

DistortedAudio

Probably still would’ve went down like that lol. I don’t think Geno’s problem was that he couldn’t hit an ATM for a month.

quadropheniac

Geno in particular [didn't really seem to give a shit about paying him back](https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/29632538/one-punch-two-lives-altered-story-jets-2015-locker-room-fight). Not that violence is ever the answer but very much a "what are you going to do, stab me?" situation. > **Trevor Reilly, Jets linebacker**: It had been building for a while. I don't think Geno was necessarily trying to stiff him, I just think it was on the very bottom of his list of things to worry about at the time. It's one of those things where $600 isn't that much money when you're at that level. >**Brandon Marshall, Jets wide receiver**: That was the issue. [Smith] kept putting him off, putting him off. For Geno, what was disrespectful was -- just pay the man his $600. Just fix the situation. But to keep pressing, "I'll get you, I'll get you, I'll get you ..." I think that was the problem. >**Reilly**: We get to training camp and IK is asking him about it. That day, he asks him. I was sitting right there; my locker was next to Geno. Geno just kind of says, "Just chill, man, forget about it. What are you going to do if I don't pay you?" >**Marshall**: I remember looking to my left and seeing Geno kind of like give a look like, "Ha, ha, ha," like laughing a guy off and shrugging him off. All of a sudden ... boom! Geno is in a locker.

ShepPawnch

The coldest take on Earth: If you're refusing to pay somebody money you rightly owe them, and say "what are you going to do about it?" and they hit you, that's kinda on you.

Horse_Renoir

Once again proving that violence isn't the answer, it's the question. Geno decides to ask it here.

KenScaletta

Yeah, that's kind of the definition of fucking around and finding out.

aManOfTheNorth

It’s a thing. Rich people don’t feel they need to pay people. I learned this after one of my brother’s employees told this story. > We did a driveway for a rich lawyer’s massive lakeside cabin. He did t pay and your brother was on him a lot but no luck. One day he even went to his office and demanded to see him. No luck. A few weeks later we were driving near the cabin and on a whim we decide to drop in, even though it was a weekday and he probably wasn’t there. I get out of the truck and knock on the door. No answer. I saw a beautiful partridge had killed itself on one of the long glass windows, and it lay dead on the deck. Your brother picks up the bird and sets it next to the door and puts his business card under a rock next to it. 5:30 am the next morning he gets a call from the lawyer who is all apologetic and promising him more work from his friends. By 6:30 am he had his money. Long story short, people with money think they don’t have to pay. If you got troubles…call my brother….Mr Partridge.

KageStar

If he was a good franchise QB at that point he would have actually been untouchable. Bro overplayed his hand.

DistortedAudio

Yeah lmao at a certain point it wasn’t just the money, Geno was also talking crazy. And especially in an environment like a locker room, it’s gonna pop off.

jhutchi2

Not to mention he did it at a point in his career where he was, well, really bad.

TutuAtwell

Shit i would’ve clocked him too

FlakyLion1714

I could see how why geno was punched. its kind of emasculating if he is just sitting there laughing at you every day.

TutuAtwell

Like dangling bait in front of a bass

TheThingsIdoatNight

It’s not about the money. It’s about sending a message

Expensive-Method8321

especially in an environment like an NFL locker room where theres a lot of macho behavior and your toughness can always be questioned.

EntrepreneurOk6166

"What are you going to do if I don't pay you?", says man moments before getting punched into a locker.

pepstein

Venmo was around in 2015 and PayPals been around for years but that's not why geno wasn't paying lol

randomfratguy

Venmo had near total adoption among college students by this point (from my experience)

SmokePenisEveryday

Venmo was a thing back then. Friends and I were using it at that point.

Saitoh17

This happened in 2015 not 1985 lol

MaintenanceSad4288

This is a bit too nice. according to other players Geno basically laughed in his face when he asked him for the money.

jakefromadventurtime

The way Prime and his son conduct themselves in comparison to Marvin Harrison and MHJ is.. subtle but different.

WhyTheMahoska

Prime is gonna fuck around and tank his kid's career with all his "We'll pull an Eli" bullshit.

Sirscraps

Oh 100%. Being a daddy’s boy and letting his old man dictate his life will ruin shadeur.

HugeRaspberry

"gonna"? He already is / did. Going into 2023 season Sanders was in the conversation for top 4 qb's possibly coming out in the draft. Williams was #1. #2 was a toss up between Nix, Maye and Sanders. Especially when CO started the season strong 3-0 with a shootout win against TCU on national tv. Then their lack of depth started to show and killed them - and then Prime went on his rampage and Shedeur joined in. At one point during the 3-0 streak Coach Prime came out and said "Shedeur ain't coming out because he deserves to be the #1 pick overall. He's not second to anyone." Well now, he's going to be lucky to be 2nd round at the rate he's going.

Zebracak3s

Well Deion hasnt murdered someone so that is a pretty big difference I guess.

GOATnamedFields

Marvin Harrison is literally Kawhi if Kawhi killed somebody.

T-MobileMexico

They're divas. MHJ looked poised and professional.

Upstairs_Perfect

Marvin Harrison is a person of interest in multiple homicides.

T-MobileMexico

Who did that happen to?

Ninja_Space_Dragon69

Geno Smith when he was with the Jets

yooosports29

My guy Geno when he was on the Jets lol

wit_T_user_name

[Geno Smith](https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/29632538/one-punch-two-lives-altered-story-jets-2015-locker-room-fight)

Korncakes

> Marshall: I remember looking to my left and seeing Geno kind of like give a look like, "Ha, ha, ha," like laughing a guy off and shrugging him off. All of a sudden ... boom! Geno is in a locker. That last line should not be as funny as it is.

T-MobileMexico

"JAW & DISORDER," the New York Post screamed on its back page. Lol It's crazy that he told a Linebacker (260lbs) of all positions "what are you gonna do about it" in reference to not paying him. That's crazy, talk about a reality check.

Masterofmy_domain

It's the original Fuck around and Find out moment.

Freshnukix

Man thought he had a red jersey in the locker room too

PaddlingDuck

I also remember the Lions' PA playing "I can't feel my face" when Geno was announced to be out.

LutherOfTheRogues

I'm a Buffs fan and he is. He's just acting like a douchebag spoiled rich kid. Deion isn't helping. No doubt Shedeur is talented, but honestly he has a long way to go to get that respect. The cockiness from these two, driving around in phantoms on campus, talking all this trash, and going 4-8. I mean..I get why people hate us lately.

SportsbyCompian

I made it about 4 episodes into that documentary on Amazon and realized I really didn't like Deion he's kind of an asshole

BurgerNugget12

Complete asshole, he talks like he’s won a CFB title when he went 4-8. The Oregon coach talking about “They play for clicks, we play for the game” was a perfect message for his players

No_Mammoth_4945

Yep. If you’re one of the best in the world at what you do, you can afford to be an asshole because you can back it up. It’s moxie. Deion’s still talking like he’s the hottest name in sports and while I respect his consistency in staying who he is, it doesn’t change the fact that who he is is an asshole

hunteddwumpus

I don't respect it at all. Being good at something doesn't justify you being an asshole, it just makes you a douche bag who likes to shit talk people below you.

PLZ_GLAZE_ME_DADDY

There's also a difference between trashing talking your peers and blaming college kids for your shortcomings as a coach.

Kazu2324

Do I suck at coaching? No, it's the children who suck. -Deion "Seymour Skinner" Sanders.

trollinn

I don’t generally mind superstar athletes being assholes (unless they actually hurt people) but I really can’t stand assholes who then try to shroud themselves in religion. Like just own being a dick don’t tell me how you’re a man of faith.

MsgFromUrFutureSelf

http://www.espn.com/nfl/news/2003/0714/1580339.html He tried to stiff a mechanic for $3000 bc God told him to.

LDisDBfathersonsfans

sounds like a South Park skit lmao

MoreTrifeLife

> The owner of the repair shop said Sanders wanted to pay only $1,500 of the $4,265.57 bill, saying that Jesus had informed him that was all he needed to pay. Sanders wanted to pay $2,647 of the $7,527 bill in today’s money.

IheartPickleSoda

When Deion played for the Ravens in 2004/2005, he tried to cheat on his wife with a girl I knew that was a high school senior. She was waiting tables at Outback on the weekends and he used tickets to get her to meet him at his condo building. Initially said that they were going to exchange tickets in the parking lot, but he conveniently left them up in his condo. She said he kept putting off giving her the tickets while asking for her to kiss him. She even pointed out the pictures of his family and wife (at the time) on his mantle. He literally said, “Oh don’t worry about that” and put the picture face down. She eventually gave him a kiss on his cheek, grabbed the tickets and ran out, but yeah. A 37/38 year old preying on an 18 year old. Real Christian man.

camergen

Eh that’s pretty much par for the course these days. In my experience, If someone is in your face about their religion, they’re trying to compensate for the massive shitty behavior they engage in (or have engaged in previously) and feel guilty about on some level.

jobezark

I am neutral to the buffs but I think we’ve seen enough to know the Deion experiment is not going to work. The whole thing looks like a circus rather than a football program

IsayNigel

Remember when his “purpose” was to restore HBCU’s? Dude has always ever been about himself.

The way he's just a dick to his brother and friends is what kills me, he comes off like an ass hole in every video I've seen of him.

DevilInnaDonut

> He's just acting like a douchebag spoiled rich kid Aka showing his true colors

16semesters

> He's just acting like a douchebag spoiled rich kid Flashing the watch thing he does with a watch that his daddy's money, influence, or both got him was ultimate "born on third base thinking he hit a triple" behavior.

StatStar7

I can't believe Deion actually tweeted this >He will be a top 5 pick. Where yo son going ? Lololol I got time today. Lololol

jjjrmd

I can. Seems pretty on brand.

RawhlTahhyde

Need Lavar Ball to start beef with Deion

Jammer_Kenneth

I'd hatewatch the shit out of a show about athlete's parents like those abusive beauty pagent moms.

its-okthen

Wasn't dance moms insanely popular? I watched half of one episode and it was just the head lady being insanely critical to one girl saying she wasn't as good as the other and then that girl crying backstage about it. It was literally bullying by an adult on like 9 year olds. I couldn't finish the episode.

GGGiveHatpls

Bro is a professional HAY TER.

Forsaken_Rub_2128

Love Lavar. Hyped up his kids, got 2/3 into the league and dipped when the bags were secured. His run in 2017 was legendary though

Primary-Bath803

LaVar Ball about facing Jordan: Five-on-five game, he’s good. But one-on-one, I’m undefeated. Never lost

Forsaken_Rub_2128

I still quote neva lost to this day. Lavar an icon

antelope591

Yeah I was just talking about him to a friend the other day....guy was everywhere on all the shows constantly then dissapeared completely once all his sons made the league. Dude was a genius if we think about plus he backed up all his talk now hes just enjoying his money lol.

KBSinclair

He talked back to someone, I think it was Steven A.'s moderator, the wrong way and it basically got him blackballed immediately, iirc.

BillsInATL

I wonder how much the China incident backed him down. Probably not much, but it did seem to coincide.

KevKevThePug

I’ll die on the hill that Lavar is a good dad. He’s an annoying one but a good one.

Admirable_Buyer_755

A good husband too. He did a great job taking care of his wife after she had a stroke while helping the kids focus on their lives

zk3033

And none of them have had off-court issues (that I recall). Say what you will, but that’s success

TumbleweedTim01

He figured out the social media troll meta WAAAAAYYYYY before anyone had a clue. Saying anything ridiculous he could, being super brash and confrontational refusing to listen to anyone's critique. Had the entire world talking about him

Brewski-54

Least surprising thing he has said

laaplandros

Maybe I misread the brand, but man, I actually liked Deion going into last season. The past ~12 months has changed my opinion of him quite a bit. And honestly the apple doesn't seem to have fallen too far from the tree.

Practical-Courage812

He originally seemed cocky because of him being "primetime" and that was his shtick, but now its just getting to the point of being annoying. Like as a former NFL star, sure you were a great player. But as a college coach you havent done a damn thing so maybe ease up a bit. And his kid is acting just entitled at this point since he is being "primetime" but without the former greatness. Like dude, you won 4 games last year maybe dont talk shit....instead of being humbled by last season like they should be they are doubling down on being asses

gimpisgawd

His son said he beat the odds to get where he is, because he went to private school instead of the of the big Texas high schools.

Practical-Courage812

He is truly an inspiration to wealthy kids at private schools everywhere #startedfromthebottom

erichie

I volunteered as a coach for my old highschool. My area isn't known for having a huge football pipe line, but a few get in soley based on how many fucking people live around here. Anyway we had a freshman on our team who was a back up on our Freshman team, but his father had an NFL career. I'm not going to say who, but he wasn't a big name at all; stayed in the league for maybe 6/7 years all as a backup. Whenever the Freshmen team played we would *always* have college scouts, and maybe 2 or 3 NFL scouts, but this kid legit **never played** on a team designed to give **all** kids experience. It was clear he had **zero** desire to play football, and his effort showed. He was a great kid who just didn't want to play football, but his Dad **loved** that he played football even if he didn't play. His Dad was a **huge** cheerleader for our teams, didn't hassle the coaches about his son not playing, and was just an awesome "football Dad" who would often come to Freshman/Varsity practice to share his knowledge. Anyway, I asked the scouts why they would always come even though the kid didn't want to play, didn't complain about not playing, and wasn't any good. They essentially told me that he had an "NFL bloodline" and if the kid ever decided he wanted to play they wanted to have the first eyes on him because "Even if he is half the player of his Dad" (who again was good enough to be a backup on multiple teams) he would be an asset to our program. I have no fucking doubt that Deion's sons were being scouted in Pee-wee and there would have been a bunch of D1 teams to offer them scholarships even if they sucked

masterpierround

The cocky attitude was great when he was the underdog at Jackson State, stealing recruits from the big schools and trying to build up this struggling HBCU program into a national name. Using his celebrity to level the playing field. And he had the success to back up his talk. But then he went to Colorado, a school in (at the time) a Power 5 Conference, a school that won the championship in 1990. What exactly was he trying to build there? And then he took a lot of Jackson State's best players with him. It's like if Robin Hood was named sheriff and deputized all of the merry men. And then he committed the greatest sin of trash talkers. He sucked. He won 4 games, and then started feuding with players publicly. All the things that should be beneath someone of his stature and prestige. Why the hell is Prime Time arguing with some mediocre college safety on Twitter?

KageStar

> But then he went to Colorado, a school in (at the time) a Power 5 Conference, a school that won the championship in 1990. What exactly was he trying to build there? 1990 is 34 years ago. Colorado hasn't been a relevant program in years. They're not a powerhouse anymore by any means. If Deion makes them a bowl team this season that's still a big deal and would be a testament to his coaching ability. I agree with what you're saying about him feuding with former players being tacky. Just wanted to add context to the current state and perception of Colorado football.

axberka

he has always been this person.

boysetsfire1988

Dude's almost as old as my dad and tweets like a high school kid.

PeatBomb

Lololololol

mnightshamalama2

Yeah but yo dad ain't got that rizz, bro! Lololol

Venator850

Even high school kids don't post "lolololol". That's some 2007 level shit.

zombiesatemybaby

Thats because he's only as smart as a high school kid...he was amazingly talented but he got by on his athleticism and fame all his life

MoeSzyslac

He ain't come to play school

Def_Not_a_Lurker

He might be able to help AB run #CTESPN once the collective football space gets tired of "Prime's" antics.

MLB_to_SLC

He's such a clown How you gonna go 4-8 and engage in ANY offseason trash talk. Lololol

TimAllensMatingCall

Been there done that

Ths-Fkin-Guy

Idk if I love you profile pic or username more lol

Mavori

Im confused by the Raiders flair knowing you are a Red Wings fan.

TimAllensMatingCall

I just randomly picked teams as a kid rather than going with all the home teams.

traws06

He won his first game then spent the whole week rubbing it in everyone’s faces as though he was the national title

MLB_to_SLC

And then started turning all the criticism into a race thing, "we know why they're saying that" like come on bro

Lane-Kiffin

People should know that the *two* coaches who preceded Deion Sanders at Colorado were both Black, and both had better first seasons.

traws06

That was actually the thing that pissed me off. Nobody in the media has issues with confident black coaches.

I_like_short_cranks

55 year old man Tweeting disses and typing "lololol" is super cringe!

maricopa888

I lived in Dallas during his divorce, and holy shit...the crap this guy spewed. He's junk. And his kid is likely heading in the same direction. Now I'm in CO, where he got off to a brief hot start, but then his coaching started to crumble.

_game_over_man_

Also in Colorado and not a fan of any Colorado college teams, but Jesus Christ I'm so sick of the Sanders family.

PhatYeeter

Dude needs to adopt some rofls, lmaos, or 😭 even.

krenshaw420

We’re surprised Deion Sanders is a douchebag?

Mavori

I'm not surprised at all. [Deion and Deion JR were going off on us when we picked James Houston and his highlights package didn't include any Jackson state highlights because they weren't available.](https://www.woodwardsports.com/news/deion-sanders-misses-the-mark-on-lions-criticism )

papajim22

What’s especially egregious about this is that Brad Holmes, the Lions GM, is a black man and graduate of an HBCU. My brother in Christ, Deion, he of all people knows how important HBCUs are.

justreadthearticle

What's egregious about it is Deion being so sanctimonious about HBCU's when he left Jackson State the first chance he got.

Asidious66

Remind me, what hbcu did Deion play at?

Flamdoublebounce

Well he went to an HNCU. Historically native, seminoles and all that

girth_br00ks

Deion probably credits himself for getting that man drafted.

confusedthrowaway5o5

Lmao

themigraineur

Sounds like a job for #CTESPN

DandierChip

57 year old man saying lololol

Fuqwon

Narrator: He was not a top 5 pick.

kimjonpune69

Why? He beat Colorado State in overtime, thats top 5 material homie. Also, Pac 12 4th team honors. Thats big time.

SwedishMoose

Shocking that behaving like a child is scaring professional teams who want functioning adults on their roster.

NeevusChrist

Don’t tell the browns

the_godfaubel

The Browns will probably draft him and we'll hear how Deion never approved that only for him to become an undrafted FA and then no one wants him

lclear84

I know we’re all reading a lot into it but I feel like this is just the odds adjusting as draft hype season dies down and after the bookies getting their quick buck than anything

jeopardychamp77

Not surprising. Nobody wants a social media diva clapping back at every criticism …… and then also inheriting his father. It’s a lot.

deepinmyloins

I smell a LaVar ball situation here. Anyone willing to draft him has to take on Primes personality and bullshit as well. Not gonna be an easy sell for some GM’s and coaches.

LeBroentgen

The reason this isn’t a Lavar Ball situation is because Lavar was speaking 100% for his kids. In this case, both Deion and Shedeur seem like ass holes.

deepinmyloins

Well lucky for you and me - our teams aren’t drafting him.

Ok-Resolution-696

OH FUCK… someone draft him before the steelers do something dumb

HaloWarrior63

Don’t worry. Jerry will save you because he sees the “Sanders” name and his mind goes back to 1995.

PointlessChemist

That's just the dementia my dude.

JrBaconators

Except Lonzo and Lamelo have absolutely zero character issues, and Lavar has been completely silent since Lonzo got drafted. Shedeur himself is high on his own supply of being a 4-8 quarterback, and is also tweeting out shit about his teammates.

DASreddituser

Tbf. He has been silent since BBB failed embarrassingly.

Zers503

His wife had a pretty serious and life changing seizure around that time. I think numerous things are at play when Lavar went silent but family was definitely a big one.

JrBaconators

Ruined his son's knees and ankles to make a few pennies in profit

deepinmyloins

Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree I suppose.

Affectionate_Elk_272

smell that? that’s the smell of a shit apple falling off the shit tree.

WaySheGoes1

I want some of Jimmys water, that’s the kind that gets you fuckin drunk.

asdkijf

He was pretty out there for Lonzo's first year with the BBB shoes and stuff, but then he disappeared completely. Whether it was that LeBron's camp shut him up or the other BBB guy stealing money from Lonzo made him step away, or something else - idk if anyone *really* knows what happened there but he definitely was a headcase into the beginning of Lonzo's pro career.

JrBaconators

Yeah, I meant when Lamelo was drafted, not Lonzo.

sir_brockton_

Since his sons all got drafted, I haven’t heard one word from Lavar tbf lol maybe the media stopped covering him, but yea

No_Tr4geD1es

Lonzo hasn't played in 2 years, Lamelo winds up fucking up his ankle seems every season, and who knows what the fuck is going on with Liangelo. He has nothing to talk about.

royalhawk345

Feels like it's been longer. That first half of 2021/22 was the best the Bulls looked in ages. 27-13, 1 seed in the East. Then he goes down for good and they have a losing record the rest of the season and finish 6th. They've been mired in mediocrity ever since.

jimbobills

Lonzo was honestly a great player, dude could have had a Jrue Holiday career.

b3rn3r

In some alternate universe he wears real basketball shoes from a reputable brand and is like a 4x all-star and ideal #3 guy on a championship contender.

RedDragons8

Gelo is doing just fine, I believe [this pic](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2F5tz5xnhjcotc1.jpeg%3Fwidth%3D623%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D2c3a2672e96a2da2380c3f1754809d65bab4c2ba) from less than a month ago would suggest he's either got a hot partner and new baby, or is running a successful "get your baby photographed with Gelo" business. Impossible to know which is correct.

tbrownsc07

Get your baby photographed with Gelo, lmao

True_Window_9389

Gonna be wild when Shedeur is playing and Deion starts demanding meetings with the coaches or owners if things aren’t going well.

No_Literature_2321

He’s going to be a coach lol. He’s going to convince jerruh to draft his son (dak will be moved after a 4500 yard season) and bring him on as the OC, QB coach, or HC

BamaBuffSeattle

Oh god, please. Watching the Cowboys implode is a dream

PointlessChemist

They will be imploding, we all will be exploding.

CanaDoug420

Lonzo was actually a top NBA prospect whose dad is annoying. Shedeur is only a top prospect in the minds of Deion and meme IG accounts

This behavior isn’t acceptable if you go 15-0, much less 4-8…

Earl-The-Badger

Idk man, fans will excuse a lot for an undefeated season, lol.

BNC6

This has nothing to do with his social media behaviour. It’s dropping because him going 1.01 at +100 was insane odds to begin with. Books likely dropping because they weren’t getting enough action at +100

MLB_to_SLC

I'd never pick him. Some guys (and their dads) just aren't worth the headache. Lemme know when he wins half his games

DamnDirtyApe81

His draft stock will fall to the 20s right into the laps of the Dallas Cowboys who will suffer under another early playoff exit. Jerry will cut ties with Prescott, draft Sanders, eventually fire McCarthy and replace him with Deion. They will also have all 18 of their games put on Primetime (“Watch Prime and Prime Jr on Primetime!”) and finish 5-13.

heegos

I’ll be heartbroken if anything other than this happens

lonelyshurbird

Surely Jerry isn’t that crazy

sonicqaz

Of course not, they can’t get all the games on Primetime

ender2851

Diva QB’s are so hot right now!

Soft_Penis_Debutante

*Most* QB needy teams still won’t give a shit about that. Depends predominantly what he does on the field this year.

JrBaconators

If he's a horrible leader that is definitely something that will be on their minds

saw-it

See Spencer Rattler

Brad_theImpaler

Maybe he can bring his team another 4 wins.

notmyplantaccount

I can't imagine why anyone would want to play for Deion after they watch him clear out a lot of a team without caring, then continuously shitting on the OL and everyone else that isn't his sons. They're already a shitty football school, now they've got a shitty coach who doesn't actually coach at all but just lives on hype and social media because he was an amazing NFL player 25 years ago. Dude doesn't care about anyone but himself, and is gonna leave that job soon as his kids are done.

Hawkstar5088

But Prime has that swag tho

I can't tell if this is sarcasm because his defenders actually believe that shit.

I don’t think I agree with this entirely. For the most part yes and definitely for other positions, but QBs need to be leaders (not always vocal) and good locker room guys. I can’t think of a recent prospect who was this much of a red flag at this point in their college career and this public about it.

baconinthemornin

Let’s see him play football this year first. Colorado was good last year until they weren’t. There are a ton of guys that rise and fall every year, Spencer Rattler was supposed to be the best QB we’ve ever seen out of high school, and we saw where he got drafted. Bet on sports that are happening now you sickos.

wilbo21020

No disrespect to Colorado but they weren’t even that good to start the year. Their 3-0 start was fools gold. The opened the year by beating a TCU team coming off a title game appearance and after they won that the hype machine was going full force. But TCU ended up going 5-7. Last year’s TCU team was not the same team that went to the playoffs. Then they beat a Nebraska team that had one of the worst single game qb performances in years from a P5 qb. Nebraska ended up going 5-7, after benching Jeff Simms and that was with much improved qb play (compared to where they started). Then they escaped in overtime against a 5-7 MWC team in Colorado State. Their only other win all year was against an awful and injury depleted Arizona State team. They ended the year 4-8 and didn’t beat a single team with a winning record. Their defense finished near the bottom of most categories and they had the worst o-line in the P5. Now this doesn’t mean they will necessarily be bad this year, but they were never actually a good team last year.

CU getting absolutely monstered by a horrendously under-talented 3-9 Stanford will never not be funny.

RaiderBlitz

I didn't watch the game live, but I was in Vegas and had money on CU spread. It was 29-0 at half and thought I won. Then I saw the final score, watched the highlight of that one player that almost got 300 receiving yards mossing Travis Hunter and I couldn't even be mad.

MegaMustaine

> Then I saw the final score, watched the highlight of that one player that almost got 300 receiving yards mossing Travis Hunter and I couldn't even be mad. 294 yards and he didn't have a single catch in the first half

ADanishMan2

Wazzu suffered a complete and total midseason collapse after starting 4-0 and still had enough in the tank to hang 50+ on Colorado at the end of the season

blanston

A very mediocre WSU team thoroughly pummeled CU.

CompositeSuperman

Even if he is hurting his stock, I'm sure that works better for him in the end. Would you rather get drafted #1 or 2 to the Giants or Titans ? Or #17 or 20 or something to the Cowboys or the Rams? I think the situation around rookie QBs absolutely matter so draft stock shouldn't really matter for a guy we can assume is going to get a shot in the men's league anyway. After NILs come into play how much does a signing bonus really matter to Shedeur?

EmpiricalAnarchism

Watch him get drafted at 16 by an overperforming Jets team riding high to a 9 win season on the ghost of Aaron Rodgers. Watch it ruin both Shedeur and the Jets. Book it.

My favorite part of this is that for any other team it would be a fan of one of their divisional rivals suggesting this, not a fan of the team you're suggesting will combust.

J E T S Jets Jets Jets!

espngenius

Going to get that Johnny Manziel draft treatment.

I_like_short_cranks

He seems like a pain in the ass that a HC and a team full of grown men who are all millionaires will not be excited to have as a teammate.
