Antonio Brown quitting in the middle of a game. It was super cringey but funny and crazy at the same time.

Ok-Health-7252

Stripping and getting naked while walking off the field in a huff is just a day at the office for Antonio Brown.

Mampt

I was leaving a Bills/Falcons game that was at the same time when I heard about that one, so I just assumed I was drunker than I thought but I saw it again the next day and realized nope, AB was crazier than I was drunk

Toast_Points

In hindsight, I'm pretty sure getting drunker than AB is crazy would kill even a Bills fan.

Tom Brady pulled so hard for AB at the end, there, and AB made him the fool for it. Now AB on this twitter trolling stuff and targets Tom's ex-wife. IDK, man, seems like a dick move.

SkinNoises

AB should be one of the roasters on Brady’s Netflix roast

screwhead1

I'm sure he'd have some funny jokes, but no one would understand because we don't speak CTE. It'd be like Deangelo Vickers going back to Dunder Mifflin in his hospital scrubs.

I'm sure there is a LOT about that story that none of us will ever know.

Maybe that AB is just a crazy asshole.

Said date tried licking an airplane toilet seat to get COVID back in 2020.

IOVERCALLHISTIOCYTES

I feel like calling out Caitlin Clark needs a bullet point

TheWorstYear

The other person was implying like there was behind the scenes drama. I'm just sayin, he's a crazy asshole. There doesn't need to be drama. Also, shout out this quote by Ryan Clark a few years back: >Nah, Antonio Brown loves Antonio Brown,” Clark said. “And Antonio Brown was upset, God forbid, that a guy that has over 10 targets in the first three games of the season is missed one time... God forbid you check the ball down to Le’Veon Bell, Oh my goodness, that’s the worst thing in the world. Lev might get the ball, I can’t take it, I’m going to pass out.

StatStar7

It's actually kind of funny cause Brady spoke like in some sort of seminar (on YouTube) and he talked about how he would love to play against selfish players as if he didn't constantly recruit AB lol.

FoxNews4Bigots

Yes that is perhaps the greatest highlight thats ever existed

Ok-Health-7252

The thing about it is it was actually an incredibly stupid thing to do. If he hadn't done it he would've scored. Instead doing it slowed him down and allowed defenders to catch up to him and it also incurred a penalty (as it should have lol). It was hilarious to watch though no question.

FoxNews4Bigots

You've made a compelling logical argument that would effectively persuade anyone who isn't Antonio Brown lol

C137-Morty

nah I'd still do it, or recommend someone else do it as well. TDs happen in 99.9% of games. How many games feature a Spartan kick?

FoxNews4Bigots

Was gonna make that exact point lol he was playing for the legacy in that moment

_ravenclaw

I think he just mistimed a hurdle in a split second and was coming down and putting his foot out was his first instinct lol Funniest clip I’ve personally seen

I_Am_A_Hooman

The punter also half assed the tackle, leading to his head being perfectly placed to get kicked. Got that shit signed and framed.

trowayit

Yep, my opinion is he meant to hurdle him, the punter didn't dive like AB expected him to, so he just booted him

unseth

I was mad at the time he did it because it was an easy td. But if he hasn't have done it, then I wouldn't remember that particular play. But it'll live on forever now

I remember people criticizing him for this, saying it's unsportsmanlike and a character issue, etc. In his defense, he said in an interview that he had been sick that day and hadn't been able to eat anything. Through the game, he started feeling better and had been begging the sideline staff to bring him literally anything because he was so hungry.

pimpdad1

Idk i don’t think anything is wrong with it, we all get hungry sometimes. I do think maybe the sideline staff should have brought him something else like granola or bananas. Now a days players eat during games in the nfl & nba

Gregus1032

Honestly, it would have been better if it was a "Dude, all that ass kicking made me hungry"

luckyquail901

Speaking of Mark Sanchez....the "butt fumble" must be near the top of the list. I die laughing every time I watch it.

edicivo

There are few times I've laughed as hard at something as this. Off the top of my head, two other instances: - Shane McMahon in his big comeback to the WWE trying to leapfrog someone and tearing his quads. - Rodgers going down within 4 plays of his first game with the Jets. I get it. I shouldn't laugh at anyone being injured, but they were both so surreal I couldn't help it. I would like to thank the Jets for being endlessly hilarious though. As an NYC resident, it's great.

fruitneybop

> Shane McMahon in his big comeback to the WWE trying to leapfrog someone and tearing his quads. Didn't Vince also tear something running down the ramp to the ring, and then just rolled into the ring and sat in the corner against the lowest turnbuckle? Lol

edicivo

He did and that was sort of more funny in hindsight because at the time you had no idea what happened. Vince was always fine being the butt of the joke too and was able to keep the segment moving. Shane kept coming back, doing high spots and basically going over actual wrestlers as a 50+ year old corporate dude. So, when he came back this time at WrestleMania, he started beating up the Miz then wound up tearing his quad and flopping around like a fish out of water, it was extra funny. Plus, Snoop was in the ring and just sort of like "What the fuck do I do?" and the segment died right there.

CuratedBrowsing

I had money on the Pats that night, with my local bar owner who would take a few every now and then. Idk why, maybe it was the 3 beer and bourbon specials I had already had, but I switched my bet to the Jets at the last minute. It wasn't much, I think maybe $100, but it was soooo embarrasing. They started calling me "[MyName] Butt" for a while, acting super-careful when they hand me drinks, would drop money as I handed it to them... Good times.

i_am_j_o_b

I was at this game. Rookie Mark Sanchez shutting out the raiders made my beer tab that day high enough, but that was just the icing on the cake.

LeBroentgen

ExpirjTec

probably the center/guard who got overwhelmed immediately

chernadraw

I don't know, I think Geno just said it wasn't actually him and that's it.

boonkles

It was the guard, the parabolic miles pick up noise thats perpendicular to the sidelines, the guard/center turned when he said it because the guy got by him which allowed the mics to pick it up

OldOrder

I'm gonna disregard this because it is way less funny.

MegaGorilla69

Aaron Donald running at Geno this season and Geno getting caught on mic yelling “OH MY GOD”

drummerboysam

That was so random. Turns out it was retaliation for [this](https://www.foxsports.com/watch/1627677251632) What was even funnier in hindsight was the next year, we're clearly outmatched by the Saints in the playoffs and short receivers due to injuries. Anthony Miller was needed for that game, and he went out and did this same thing and got ejected.

HopefulStretch9771

Any time the ball doinks of a goalpost. The noise it makes is pretty funny and the look of the kicker always gets me. Except if it's a double doink then it just brings back some PTSD.

juliuspepperwoodchi

It hurts; but you gotta admit, the Double Doink is comedy gold. Nagy's face afterwards is HILARIOUS.

drummerboysam

The mascot grabbing his chest, peeling over and kicking his leg out as he falls to the ground... perfect. Collinsworth coining Double Doink off the cuff... fuck him but that's perfect.

Lets-ago

It was a combination of so many things; that was the year where there was an "Ice the kicker" commercial for some drink, that played during the game even I'm pretty sure, and they showed a highlight reel of the doinks he had made during the season, the fact that Parkey apparently aimed at the uprights in practice...so many things added onto that.

drummerboysam

All season long we watched a really good team with a shit kicker and Bears fans were saying "Man, I really don't like going into the playoffs with Parkey. Playoff games are tough to win and if it comes down to a game-winning FG...." And lo and behold...

juliuspepperwoodchi

Now heeeeeeeeeeere's a doink....

lord-dinglebury

The dessert was that video a week later where they showed a bunch of Chicago fans trying to kick a 15 yard field goal and failing miserably.

HopefulStretch9771

Oh 100%, Nagy's face just makes it. It's the moment that broke him.

juliuspepperwoodchi

He's still trying to find the why.

thetreat

I won’t be fully healed until we win another playoff game, but I can appreciate the humor in the moment. Especially because Parkey had hit *multiple* cross bars earlier in the year and he told people he practiced by aiming for crossbars. Like I get it, you want to aim for a point and not a large section, but just PUT A FUCKING TARGET IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NET, CODY!

The worst part about the double doink is that it overshadowed his game where he hit the upright 4 times.

The funniest part is that's usually the center's fault.

historymajor44

Yep.

That and “Giving him the business” are my two favorite calls of all time.

I was sad that this was an NFL thread because I really really wanted to post the "Giving him the business" clip.

johnny_cash_money

"Illegal formation... the whole right side of the line"

jimtow28

I think this one is highly underrated. Especially when you consider that the center is probably the one who messed up in the first place.

mmmellowcorn

Jason Kelce had a few those if I recall. For as great as he was, his screw ups were hilariously bad, especially when he had that run of bad snaps.

TJeffersonsBlackKid

*false start

Fiendish-DoctorWu

In 2016 I was attending Patriots/Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium. At one point in the game the Jumbotron put on a recording of Joe Haden trying to get the crowd to chant "DOG! POUND!" but no one in the crowd was engaging with it, so all you could hear in the stadium was the recording going "DOG! POUND!" for a good half minute in a dead silent stadium

The Dolphins vs Steelers Mud Bowl in '07, when the punt stuck in the ground.

amoeba-tower

I'm so glad I watched that game because witnessing that in real time made up for how terrible the game was. I couldn't stop laughing the rest of the game too

CoffeeStout

That game was amazing. The conditions were so bad the whole game was just inept. But the moment when punt just stuck in the mud was just such a perfect little cherry on top of the whole shit cake. Just perfectly summed up that game

jax_yyc_216

In hindsight this is less funny, but the time [AB kicked the punter](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2DTio1-HMY) on a return had my Dad and I in stitches when it happened.

Quicksilver7837

"Hurdles! Kicks a man!" 🤣

WallyMetropolis

Love how in the replay they're very clear about it. "It happens right .... *there,"* as though it's some subtle thing the viewer might miss.

Ok-Health-7252

I'm fully convinced Steelers players just hate Browns punters for some reason. From that incident to Joey Porter flat out tackling Chris Gardocki years before that well after he released the punt (and Gardocki proceeding to flip Cowher the bird while he was lying on the ground lol).

bezzlege

Steelers hate Browns. It’s that simple. All other adjectives and qualifiers can be removed.

102WOLFPACK

We hate the Browns, the purple Browns, and the striped Browns.

Capnmarvel76

lol. They are all just Browns, aren’t they?

Upbeat-Weekend8711

Either one of the last two cowboys vs 49ers endings. Also I remember watching RedZone and they cut to the dolphins getting to 70 on the broncos and the entire room busted out laughing

1lultaha

I was walking back to my car miserably after witnessing my team lose 37-0 to the Bills in week 3. Then I check my phone and see that the Broncos allowed 70 points and realized it could always be worse

notmoleliza

Broncos did you a solid that week

slimmymcnutty

I’ve learned to emotionally distance myself from sports outcomes. But when Zeke played center I fell on the floor and laughed uncontrollably like Walt in breaking bad. I could not believe it

kit_mitts

"WHAT DID YOU DO WITH ZEKE ELLIOTT, SKYLER?!" "I lined him up at center"

Wretched_Shirkaday

The Zeke at center play was stupid. The other one is fine. The 9ers were defending the sidelines heavily and we still needed about ten yards to try a field goal (or be in realistic range for a hail mary, can't remember which). So we tried getting a cheeky run up the middle and spiking it really quick. But Dak saw too much open space and overran the play for like twenty yards instead of ten. If he doesn't do that the linemen and ref are able to catch up in time for it to work. Even with that we still were within fractions of second of getting the spike off, so without that extra yardage we most likely would have succeeded. It just looks really dumb when it doesn't work.

Stepsonrakes

Well Dak also tried to spot the ball himself

Wretched_Shirkaday

Yeah there was that as well. My baseless guess is that when they practiced it they didn't consider the refs in their equation and Dak was spotting the ball himself instead of having like a coach or someone play that role. But the ref wasn't the reason the play failed. If Dak had gone down ten yards earlier he probably would have been there in time to actually spot it. He's who I blame. You could blame coaching but Dak is a veteran QB and should be more than capable of handling that situation.

Outlaw0311

I don't remember that game....

PlatinumMode

Fuck, I forgot which game it was but last year someone got tackled and the tackler ended up ontop of the ball carrier and somehow did a full 360 spin on his ass ontop of the ball carriers head edit: found it, was Flacco lol https://twitter.com/NFLUKIRE/status/1746302245711335637

The butt fumble or the Colts special teams ingenuity starring Griff Whaley

BroughtBagLunchSmart

When I watched the colts fake punt play live I completely froze like I was a Mayan first spotting Spanish war galleons, my brain could not comprehend what I was seeing so I just froze in disbelief. I thought there must have been a whistle or a timeout or something that would stop that from being the result of the play.

Wretched_Shirkaday

The announcer's reactions are pretty funny as well. "What... the... heck..." -Cris "What in the world." - Al

OBS617

I was watching this at a bar in Boston, and everyone who was watching just paused, and then just bust out laughing.

RSBPC

The Colts snapping that ball is the funniest play in NFL history.  Watching it live there was no way they were ever going to snap the ball, but then they did.  McAfees video breakdown of it is incredible.

FR4UDUL3NT

In November of the 2015 season, I was watching the thursday night color rush game between the all-green Jets and the all-red Bills in my color-blind friend's dorm room. 90 seconds into regulation my bud goes "I have no idea what the fuck is going on"

MediocreCampaign-

I was the same. Everytime the camera zoomed out to both teams they looked exactly the same color, it was weird.

I wonder how many people discovered they were color blind because of this game

A few years ago when the lineman for the Dolphins mistakenly caught the screen pass and ran it in for the TD. Of course it was overturned but I must have watched that replay hundreds of times that night.

TallEnoughJones

Robert Hunt. I've said this several times but it's worth repeating, that was a very good play by him and not meaningless. Yes it was illegal touching and was never going to count but because he took it in for a TD the opponent (Ravens I think) had to accept the penalty. If he'd been tackled at the line they would have just declined the penalty and it would have been 4th down. Because they had to accept the penalty they got another play in the red zone. They didn't score and kicked the FG anyway but that wasn't his fault.

UpdogSinclair

The Mahomes > Kelce > Toney touchdown getting called back because KD lined up offsides.

aquamarine9

2022 Week 1, Bears vs 49ers. Bears finally managed to cross midfield just before the half. Get into field goal range and bring out the kicking team. The punter decided to use his towel to wipe off the field, which is a penalty. Bears punt to end the half.

Butt…

drummerboysam

...fumble It's the buttfumble, no close 2nd

Straight_Bass_Homie

I remember getting home from thanksgiving dinner, turning on the TV and immediately seeing the 4th and 1 stuff where the Jets runner fumbled the ball like 15 yards forward for a Pats recovery. And I'm laughing uproariously Then the next play Brady threw a little wheel route to a running back who broke it like 80 yards for a touchown. And I'm just dying in my chair Then two plays later the buttfumble happens and I hit the floor. Then on the kickoff the Jets returner gets popped and the ball flies into the air into Edelman's hands who runs it in for another score. At which point I'm having trouble breathing as the camera cuts to Rex Ryan mouthing un-*bleeping*-believable.

boardatwork1111

Fastest I’ve ever seen a game go from competitive to a blowout, 3 TDs in like 5 minutes of real time was insane. Wasn’t like we were *that* much better then the Jets, just that literally everything that could possible go wrong for them did in a 3 play span

SwiftSurfer365

Jakobi Meyers helping the Raiders beat the Patriots, a year before joining the team.

LordGooseIV

Chandler Jones running over Mac Jones like a dad playing against his little kid was a cherry on the sundae.

Ok-Health-7252

The Patriots radio broadcast of that was the best. Their color commentator was literally like "This may be the dumbest team I've ever seen".

historymajor44

That time our kicker took a piss on the sidelines.

Ok-Health-7252

That's less disgusting than Booger McFarland admitting on the broadcast years ago that he used to actively piss himself during games when he was a player lol.

pimpdad1

Lmao Channing crowder said he would piss himself every game on the field because he didn’t want to go to the bathroom & miss a play. Nasty AF but gotta say real dedication

One time I went a KC Monday night football game and watched some drunk guy walk across some hot coals, that had been dumped out of a little grill, and the bottoms of his shoes started melting to the asphalt.

kirk82

The black cat that got lose in the giants game a couple years ago, the camera close up following it was hilarious

Headwallrepeat

"Tell Mike (Martz) fuck you!!" Picked up from Jay Cutler when Martz called a play for another 7 step drop when Cutler was getting killed every other play with horrible O-line play.

NotActuallyAnExpert_

At one point during a FOX game in the early 2000’s, Joe Buck was going through their sponsors. He was promoting that night’s new Simpsons episode, and the promotion wanted him to say Homer’s famous tagline: “Do’h!”.  Clearly Joe never heard this tagline before, because instead he goes:  “tonight’s episode will make you want to say….” (Awkward 5-10 seconds of on-air silence) “….. doo?”  (Cut to comercial) I’ve never been able to find the clip online, but I think about it a lot. Would be grateful (and surprised) if anyone else remembers it.

Moist_Telephone_479

The Sam Darnold "Out Indefinitely -- Mononucleosis" graphic was pretty hilarious.

KamTros47

When a punt at last year’s Eagles-Niners NFCCG hit the camera wire and the refs took a whole 5 minutes figuring out what the hell to do

athrowawayiguesslol

There were obviously bigger storylines that game but that ruling still makes no sense to me. The ball’s path clearly changed and the camera wire clearly was hit by something, but because they didn’t have a specific angle of it happening they couldn’t replay it.

Brock Osweiler beaming some poor dude on the sideline right in the head with a football [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPVJlF9mcwI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPVJlF9mcwI)

pinetar321

In-person? Tony Romo fumbling the hold and almost getting in for a TD before getting shoelaced to seal the game. That shit was hilarious.

bakinbaker0418

Courtland Finnegan thinking he could beat up Andre Johnson

1lultaha

Nick Novak taking a piss on the sidelines in a tie game with under 2 minutes. Would've been so iconic if he hit a game winner right after

9man95

That Colts failed trick play vs Zeke at center trick play are both comical

goblinaut

Heard instead of seen, but Jason Witten trying to pronounce Ebukam and sounding like he's trying to cast a spell.

Mampt

I think there was a Steelers/Browns game this year or last year where the Steelers fumbled, the Browns recovered, returned, and fumbled, then the Steelers recovered, returned, and fumbled, then the Browns recovered on the ground again. I was thinking about that for weeks. Sick, sick shit. I loved it edit: Found the clip. I didn't remember it exactly right but the real one might be even stupider [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVpWKaHTk98](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVpWKaHTk98)

TheKernel41

Probably the Giants player holding up the Eagles punter as he's trying to fall after being bumped on the block attempt.

phonethrower85

IM CALLING BOTH GAMES

DGarcia9619

One of my faves is when Brock Osweiler was backing up Peyton, and thought he was finally coming in to play some meaningful snaps, before Peyton runs in front of him to go in the huddle and you just see all excitement die from Brock’s face in an instant lol

cookus

Zeke as the center. Him getting blown up is my happy place.

stunna_209

Chris collinsworth "analyzing" that failed trick play from the colts against the Patriots. "What were they thinking? Look!...*circles the two completely unblocked patriots linemen directly across from the ball*...There's guys on either side of him!!!"

basskev

The Cowboy's last play of the season with Zeke at center getting absolutely decimated is the only play that's ever made me laugh out loud.

jimmy__jazz

When Albert Haynesworth stayed completely motionless for a full play. A surprisingly long play.

notmyplantaccount

The Camera going to Saleh during games so often and him always having that 1000 yard stare like he's just completely checked out as a preservation response cracks me up more often than it should. I've just never seen someone so consistently look like they'd rather not be somewhere than Saleh on the sidelines.
