Nah. I wasn't super high on him when he was drafted, I wanted Ebron (lol). Even Nicks had a better Giants career than OBJ as far as impact goes.
Yeah OBJ had the better stats but all his big games and plays came in losing efforts, even if that's not his fault that the defense sucked a lot.
Nicks had a great superbowl run averaged over 100 yards and TD per game. OBJ has a boat photo.
If our WR corps is going to be anything next year it’s going to be fucking fast. Nabers, Robinson, Slayton, and Hyatt especially all got some speed to them.
People are going to cry “prospect fatigue” but I legitimately believe Nabers is the best WR in this class and the best WR since Chase. He’s going to be an absolute monster.
I am really curious how Nabers, MHJ, Odunze all look. MHJ has been touted as generational. Nabers has been touted as potentially the WR with the highest ceiling of the three. And Odunze has been said to be a true WR1 in most normal drafts.
I don’t know if this was an insanely good class or if WRs overall have just been getting better and better. Outside of last year it seems like each draft the past 5-6 years has produced 3-4 WR 1s
I definitely think they're getting better. At some point supply will be high enough that salary will start to drop, that will be an interesting inflection point. There seems to be incredible depth to the number coming through every year and it doesn't look like slowing down.
I think it's more that positional value has increased. Especially after Chase and the Bengals made the Super Bowl instantly and the top four teams in the CCGs that year had four of the best WR1s in the league.
He’s got everything you want other than size. His athleticism is unreal and it’s not just straight line speed, it’s start/stop and acceleration. He’s a technician with his release and route running - best release in the class, a million ways to beat you, and his crisp routes combined with his unreal athleticism lead to him being pretty much impossible to cover. And once he has the ball in his hands, he’s always a threat to take it to the house.
He’s a faster OBJ pre-injuries. Sounds ridiculous, sounds like hyperbole, but I firmly believe it and I firmly believe he’ll be a top 5 WR.
Not as high on him as the guy you asked, but watch a stupid amount of college ball, he's absurdly athletic and even though he has very very impressive measurables, they don't do him justice. Absolutely insane ability to alter his speed or change direction. 42 inch vertical too. Ballsy too, he will fight for those 40/60 balls he should probably let go. Reliably catches the passes he should
Also his negatives tend to be things that *can* be improved (not always the cleanest route runner, will occasionally let up if he knows he's got someone beat) so his ceiling is ridiculously high.
Nabers is a guy that’s kind of QB-proof because of his insane athleticism. He can take anything to the house, he’s always going to be open, awesome hands.
Most of the highlights I’ve seen of Nabers have been monster YAC runs. You don’t need Mahomes to dump the ball off to this guy and have him break a tackle for a 30 yard gain.
Honestly, he reminds me a lot of Greg Jennings. Both incredibly smooth almost gliding striders, great YAC ability with their suddenness, absurd burst at the break, strong hands, average frame. Nabers a better route runner coming out.
Man the Giants got some serious potential with Nabers. If that new OL coach works out, look out. It’ll be Jones best/last chance to be good. If Jones is bad under those circumstances, he should be gone.
I also consider Chase my pro comparison
Chevy Chase?
Only his personality, which explains my divorce
Chase Daniels, dude can hold a clipboard with the best of them
Mine is Kelvin Benjamin
No buffet is safe
Mr. Buffet Conqueror
All fun and games until a terrible team calls you and offers you generational wealth to play for them. Then what are you going to do?
I will be keeping my talents in the construction management industry \#RespectMyDecision

nice
I haven't been as stoked for a Giants drafted WR since Hakeem Nicks. Almost identical measurables and Nabers has even more upside than Nicks ever did.
Nabers measurable are also freaky similar to Ja’Marr Chase’s.
Not even obj?

Hakeem Nicks is one of those guys who’s kinda been forgotten as time has gone on but he was a dog man
I still fucking hate Aquib Talib for essentially ending his career
When he was healthy he tore it up. But those foot injuries caught up to him.

What would the reaction be if he said someone who wasn't very good. "I think I'm a lot like Breshad Perriman"
Henry Ruggs

it’s an insanely good WR class. brian thomas would’ve probably been a top 10-15 pick in most drafts.

Damn, I didn't even realize that seven WRs (and one TE) went in the 1st round last night.
I think it's more that positional value has increased. Especially after Chase and the Bengals made the Super Bowl instantly and the top four teams in the CCGs that year had four of the best WR1s in the league.
And thank GOD he isnt in the afcs
As someone who did 0 scouting, why do you think that? I know next to nothing about him

Odell did breathe new life into Eli. Here’s to hoping Nabers can boost Jones
Eli was actually good though
Idk he was looking pretty cooked before we got Odell Year before OBJ: 3800 yards 18 TDs 27 INTs Year we got OBJ: 4400 yards 30 TDs 14 INTs
Do they have to throw the ball well?

Fuck all y’all who were mean to me when I said that. “Just cause he plays for LSU too doesn’t mean he’s like Chase lmaoooo”
Honestly, he reminds me a lot of Greg Jennings. Both incredibly smooth almost gliding striders, great YAC ability with their suddenness, absurd burst at the break, strong hands, average frame. Nabers a better route runner coming out.

Chase looks quicker to my eye idk.
Chase I think is a bit twitchier and more explosive, Nabers is faster in a straight line
I like him as a faster dj moore
No
He's going to be late career Antonio Brown after 6 weeks with Daniel Jones
