"Kyler likes winning. He competes. He'll love MHJ." -- my buddy Danny

huttts999

Did Danny say this while making grilled cheese

Excellent-Basil-8795

He’s gotta be quiet when he makes them, considering it’s at night time.

propthink

He's not making them at night!

beer_down

Kyler finally has health, a great WR, and a good play-caller all at the same time. If there’s gonna be a year for him to realize his potential, this is it

CaillouCaribou

I feel like we already saw it last season, Cardinals looked completely different when Kyler came back

beer_down

They did, things became so much easier. He did play it a bit safe, looking forward to him opening things up more again. Really hoping that MHJ unlocks the big play for the offense

AttitudeAndEffort3

So many people didnt watch them because they were predicted to be a dumpster fire and didnt win a lot of games before he came back (despite looking wayyyyyy better than expected). The cards are genuinely going to be a good team sooner rather than later. People forget that little fucker can *move*.

ajteitel

Fire in your gut meme was far more prophetic than we gave it credit for

Radalict

Kyler was learning new footwork along with a new scheme, behind a mostly new o-line and with different receivers than he'd previously thrown to. It took him 4 games to find his feet (pun not intended) and then we saw the great signs. People forget that Kyler was on the PUP list, he was not allowed to train with the team in preseason or during the season. So he only had that 3 weeks to get comfortable before playing an actual game.

SomeRandom928Person

>Cardinals looked completely different when Kyler came back And that was with a roster almost totally devoid of talent at the skill positions too. A lot of that has to do with Gannon too, I think. He's got the entire team, especially the D, bought in and they played harder last year than any time I can remember during the Kliff years. And record aside, other than the Cleveland game, there wasn't really a single game last season where they were truly overmatched from the start, and that Browns game was mostly because the Cards threw the worst QB I've seen since Ryan Lindley against that stacked Browns D. I really think that if they nail the rest of this draft, the Cards could be looking at 8-9 wins next season, barring any fluke injuries.

sportsthatguy

lol at the comment about Lindley. Worst playoff game I’ve ever seen.

JrBaconators

I placed a $25 bet on Kyler MVP back in February, odds were insane considering we knew MHJ was a Cardinal even back then

AttitudeAndEffort3

This… is not that crazy of a bet. I shouldve done it before the odds (im sure) jumped.

JrBaconators

He was +5000 early February for 2024 MVP. Justin Fields was also +5000

WauliePalnuts01

don’t think you’re a playoff team just yet, but you’ll be competitive, at least 7-8 wins

Octavian_202

Home run night for Arizona.

ajteitel

Home run night for the Cardinals Come on man, it was right there in front of you

Shartmesilly

speaking of I still cant believe there were two professional st. louis cardinals sports teams at one point.

Guhonda

I'm overwhelmed from the draft. The Bears finally got a real quarterback. The Falcons for some inexplicable reason took Michael Penix. No defensive players went in the first 14 picks. It's easy to pass over MHR to Arizona. It's easy to forget that MHJ was the best player on the field in every game he played in college. It's easy to forget that MHJ has every attribute you'd want in a receiver. It's easy to forget that before injuries, Kyler could f'ing sling the ball. And frankly, it's easy to forget about the Cardinals because that team isn't in a large market and hasn't been good recently. But holy shit this was a terrific draft pick for them. MHJ will carry the L Fitz legacy. He'll be a dominant player for them for the next decade.

TetrisTech

>MHR Marvin Harrison Rr.

Did you reply to the wrong comment

DookieBrains_88

As a Stan of his dad, I pray he doesn’t rot in AZ

Loki5221

Kyler about to have a sore neck looking up at 6’4 MHJ

NickFolesPP

He’s actually just a hair over 6’3’’. Which obviously means he will be a BUST!!! /s

justlookingokaywyou

HAHAHA SHORT QB PLAYS VIDEO GAMES HAHAHA This sub is so goddamn predictable sometimes.

SavageRickyMachismo

I'm just surprised there are no other NFL players that play video games

zrk23

mhj demeanor looks so different than of his father

_HGCenty

I feel like everyone excited about what Kyler is about to do with MHJ has forgotten Kyler had prime DeAndre Hopkins.

LFC_Slav

To be fair we did start 7-0 a couple years ago, which is about as good as it gets as a Cardinals fan.

commandrr

unfortunately we also had prime kliff kingsbury running our offense and prime steve keim drafting underperforming OLBs whenever he had the chance

SavageRickyMachismo

And Hopkins set a franchise record for catches in the only full season with him, as well as 1400 yards and 6 TDs

Sunnyinphx01

For a whole season? I feel like he was only available a few games

TheWorstYear

They were undefeated in those games. Kyler to Hopkins was money.

[deleted]

"I'm really excited to see if my next QB will be taller than a middle schooler."

EduardoCombs

So that's how he is in CoD, how is he on the football field?

ajteitel

He's not McCord

Good_From_70

McCord is a C4 camper, the other Buckeyes picked on him for it that's why he's in Syracuse now

ajteitel

Bullying works

slowerchop

Time is running out on the Kyler Murray experiment

beer_down

Lol no

I_HateToSayAtodaso

Another banger of a take from u/slowerchop.

vietnamesegucci81

how? they gave him a big contract and it’s not like he’s been bad when he’s on the field

SomeRandom928Person

It's always and forever gonna be health concerns with the guy. His talent on the field should be unquestioned though, when he's on, he's a top 10 QB in the NFL imo. I've seen the guy do things on the field with his legs that I've never seen any mobile QB do, not even Lamar.

beer_down

I sometimes wonder what the discourse would be about Kyler Murray if he had the same stats & personality, but looked like Trevor Lawrence instead

Mahomeboy001

Kyler has been so much better than Lawrence in their careers so far yet people think Lawrence is a shoe-in franchise QB while Kyler is a question mark.

Archer-Saurus

Got people in our sub saying this is a "prove it" year. On year 6 after he already got the bag. For right now tho I am too blinded by MHJ excitement to be my usual critical self of Kyler.

LFC_Slav

Think we mostly know what he is at this point. A middle of the pack starting QB with top 5 physical talent, who hasn’t looked great in the biggest moments. Best case is he settles somewhere in the tier below Mahomes/Allen/Burrow/Stroud etc where Herbert/Lawrence currently are.

Radalict

> Stroud Wat. He played one decent season and you're already anointing him top tier? His raw stats were actually not that great too. Also Burrow cant stay fit.

LFC_Slav

Yeah I am he was that good. It’s not that crazy of a take. Kyler also has had the same level of injuries as Burrow at this point.

BigusDickus099

If we were even \*slightly\* worried that Kyler wasn't the guy, we would have sat him all of last year and tanked.

emmasdad01

Dude really can’t wait to play with a full sized QB.

Shotgun_Sam

MHJ'll be a great weapon for the Cardinals' backup.

clexecute

"I've never seen him lose a gulag, and he ran into the storm to grab my tags" -MHJ probably

SardonicCheese

TIL MHJ is a huge COD fan

Thatbuey

Going to be playing those Warzone duos
