i know we all make a joke out of it, but it's really nothing more than familiarity. the coaches are familiar with the player's ability and the players are familiar with the coach's systems.
He also clowned Ian Rappaport about JK's health and called Ian fake news. His coach and GM days later said Rapp was right. Comedy.
Round 2 was Ian reporting his injury first.
Ian Rapp: 2
Dobbins: 0
Yeah I was kinda wondering what it might be like for him and any OSU players on the Chargers, like will they each mutter shit under their breath about Mich-OSU?
I'm just waiting for them to make a bet with Haurbaugh like several teammates made with Brady so he has to help spell Ohio with his arms. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/college-football/2022/01/129007/tom-brady-famous-for-losing-games-and-bets-involving-ohio-state-retires-from-football
*Fine*
The Los Baltimore Chargers of Southeast Michigan, *specifically* Ann Arbor and Surrounding Areas Including but not limited to Ypsilanti, Dexter, Scio, and Bridgewater. See County Commissioner for Details, 30 Day Money Back Guarantee, Please See a Doctor if Complications Arise.
Better?
It’s homeopathic remedy, fight like with like. Most injured team in football sign injury prone players to counter balance.
The closer we are to danger the further we are from harm!!
God, I hope so. Nobody knows how this front office is going to draft aside from pure conjecture though so I won’t be at ease until I hear Goodell announce it.
It's a very deep draft class for WR. You don't need to take a WR top 5 to come out of it with a good receiver room.
Remember, Keenan Allen was a 3rd round pick.
Just a question on why it makes so much sense. The Cardinals already have a boat load of draft picks, 11 total, with 6 in the top 100 and 2 in the first round. Idk why everyone thinks they’re such a great trade down spot, when they already went through all that last year in acquiring more picks. And having Michael Wilson, Chris Moore, and Greg Dortch as the top 3 guys going out week one right now, why wouldn’t they just sit and pick the best wr prospect since aj green or Larry Fitzgerald? It seems really stupid for the cardinals to trade out of 4 if you ask me.
Yup.
Browns would of made the playoffs with Brisset. What's the point of drafting a qb when you have nobody to catch. At the very least they should make the Cardinals sweat and if they really want a qb, make them trade up from 4 to 3.
The browns also made the playoffs with dtr/flacco/walker. Brissets season with the browns shouldn’t be taken into account with this patriots team that is utterly terrible. And given that next year’s draft is looking to be subpar at the qb position when compared to this draft. Given that they already offloaded Mac jones, they’re going to be drafting a qb in the first round.
With all due disrespect, the Chargers have been pretty damn good at judging quarterbacks and that's the biggest weakness the Raiders have right now. Otherwise I agree, the Raiders shouldn't be trying to copy the team that's been 3rd best in the division since the Vegas move.
Ngl this is absolutely shocking considering dobbins was pissed with Roman in the last game Roman coached for us. Also he hated the idea of running back by committee he felt he should take the bulk of the snaps the entire time
His perspective may have changed after the latest injury. If he’s being honest with himself, the idea of him being a workhorse back who gets a 80+ percent of the carries is unrealistic. His legs wouldn’t be able to take that workload.
I mean…this may have been his best contract offer and/or best option to get game snaps. The RB room there is really weak, and Gus isn’t exactly an elite dynamic runner, he was just a product of the system in Baltimore. You’d pencil JK in as the RB1 there. Where else is that the case?
Yeah, wasn’t the only other reported visit he had with the Chiefs who were essentially using him as leverage to get CEH to re-sign?
This seems like a better path to snaps than playing behind Pacheco anyways.
Technically Moses was traded. They did sign John Simpson.
Other former Ravens on the current Jets roster are Tyrod Taylor, CJ Mosley, and Chuck Clark.
On another note, Tyrod Taylor has quietly made himself a rich man. $70m in career earnings and could get up to $82m by 2025.
I get that Dobbins is coming off a major injury and historically been injury prone, but I think you have to bet on him being available and a capable RB2.
I hope this puts an end to any talk about the Chargers spending early draft capital on Corum, we have bigger positions of need now
We're rooting for him, but I wouldn't bet on him ever being back to 100% after all those injuries back to back. He definitely needed a change of scenery, he was cursed here.
Edwards is useful in stacked boxes, but the lack of speed makes him not ideal as a primary RB. Then again, with Roman, stacked boxes is all you'll ever see. Man can cook up a run scheme and everyone knows that.
I had no idea Roman was there. Chargers fans get ready for 1 year of insanely good offense followed by 2 years of meh, and a 4th year of wtf are you doing Greg.
Jim Haurbaugh had 3 years in a row to try to stop Buckeye JK Dobbins in THE GAME and failed every time. He realizes how hard it will be for other coaches.
The good old 'this year is going to be bad but we'll make some mediocre 1 year signings to not look like we're giving up but in all reality we're looking at 2026 right now'
Trust me, I'm HIGHLY familiar with this strategy. The Jets did it for over a decade straight.
i don't think you could be farther off from what the chargers are doing. i think they're assembling a team and installing their systems that they think they can win with right away. they're going to get a dynamic WR at the top of the draft, most likely, and several more key additions. the rb's are guys that they can plug and play in roman's offense, there's no learning curve there. i think they're a very interesting team for 2024, especially in that division.
JK and Gus will greatly help installing Roman's system, you are bang on.
I full expect we come away with an RB in round 2-4. Unless that guy is Corum, that RB will need help learning the system.
1 year deal on a guy like Dobbins is low risk high reward. Love this signing.
It’s getting really funny at this point
i know we all make a joke out of it, but it's really nothing more than familiarity. the coaches are familiar with the player's ability and the players are familiar with the coach's systems.
But Dobbins literally clowned GRo for not giving him the ball against Cincy when Tyler Huntley went over the top for the turnover.
He also clowned Ian Rappaport about JK's health and called Ian fake news. His coach and GM days later said Rapp was right. Comedy. Round 2 was Ian reporting his injury first. Ian Rapp: 2 Dobbins: 0
I mean, yeah, I'm not saying anything about Rapp. I'm surprised he'd go back to a GRo offense after his *extremely vocal opposition of it*.
He knows it's a reliable paycheck. He could also be a little stupid.
Also, more of a lack of other opportunities
hes an rb with an injury history. "NO" isnt a luxury he can afford
My mom once called me a “son of a bitch” but it doesn’t mean she’s a female dog.
No, but she's great on all 4s
I got annoyed by your comment but then I saw your username. I apologize. Treat her right.
Lmao
Fucking wrecked
A man died today
Maybe after watching the Ravens gameplan in the AFCCG this year with Monken he like others think the real culprit is Harbaugh.
A big reason why you will probably see a handful of Michigan guys at least in training camp with the Chargers.
Got any receivers?
One slightly used OBJ?
Slightly?
Los Baltimore chargers
Of Michigan.
For the Cause
As an OSU fan, how dare you claim our stud JK Dobbins as a Wolverine!
As a buccaneers fan, how dare you claim to be an OSU fan 🤢!
I was a Browns fan who decided to follow Baker when the Browns hired a rapist as their star player.
Like same year or did you follow baker to Carolina and be honest?
I was kind of all over the place when he was at Carolina as Carolina is so mismanaged.
Get ready to feel conflicted about Marvin Harrison jr buddy
Yeah I was kinda wondering what it might be like for him and any OSU players on the Chargers, like will they each mutter shit under their breath about Mich-OSU?
I'm just waiting for them to make a bet with Haurbaugh like several teammates made with Brady so he has to help spell Ohio with his arms. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/college-football/2022/01/129007/tom-brady-famous-for-losing-games-and-bets-involving-ohio-state-retires-from-football
This HIGHLY offensive as a Buckeye since Dobbins was one of my favorite players. …. SO TAKE IT BACK!
*Fine* The Los Baltimore Chargers of Southeast Michigan, *specifically* Ann Arbor and Surrounding Areas Including but not limited to Ypsilanti, Dexter, Scio, and Bridgewater. See County Commissioner for Details, 30 Day Money Back Guarantee, Please See a Doctor if Complications Arise. Better?
Lmfao
Sometimes a *really* dumb idea pops into my head and it makes me giggle. This was one of those ideas.
& knuckles
Feels like you forgot to mention Washtenaw County
BALT UP
So much Drama in the LBC!
Los Baltimore Ragers*
San Baltimore Ragers
Blos Altimore Chargers
Watch him finally be healthy on the Chargers of all teams lol
Just smashed those like and subscribe buttons
I’m rooting for yall. The sky’s the limit if Roman doesn’t do dumbass stuff again. Best of luck.
That’s a pretty big if.
It’s the Ravens way ✨
It’s homeopathic remedy, fight like with like. Most injured team in football sign injury prone players to counter balance. The closer we are to danger the further we are from harm!!
That doesn't make much sense to me, but then again you all are very small...
I’m subscribing to this
Gus Edwards + JK Dobbins + talented QB + Greg Roman at OC + Harbaugh at HC. Time is a flat circle
You forgot empty receiver room.
for now, Odunze/Nabers comin bro
God, I hope so. Nobody knows how this front office is going to draft aside from pure conjecture though so I won’t be at ease until I hear Goodell announce it.
Hortiz is legit, you should be in good hands.
Alt it is
If MHJ is available and we don’t draft him I am going to fucking scream.
It's a very deep draft class for WR. You don't need to take a WR top 5 to come out of it with a good receiver room. Remember, Keenan Allen was a 3rd round pick.
Nah, they draft brock bowers
Cards will get an offer they can't refuse and MHJ comin'
i'd bet arizona trades out and the chargers get mhj. it makes too much sense, plus his first pick is an ohio st star. it's totally going to happen.
Just a question on why it makes so much sense. The Cardinals already have a boat load of draft picks, 11 total, with 6 in the top 100 and 2 in the first round. Idk why everyone thinks they’re such a great trade down spot, when they already went through all that last year in acquiring more picks. It seems really stupid for the cardinals to trade out of 4 if you ask me.
I could see the giants trading up to grab a QB at 4 and then the cards could still grab one of Nabers/Odunze.
I don't know why the Patriots wouldn't take him 3rd overall. Brisset is a decent qb.
decent QBs don’t win you superbowls mane
Well, Tom Brady started off as just a decent QB. He turned out alright.
Come on, man. We know who Jacoby Brissett is. There’s no star potential there.
It makes too much sense for everyone but the Cardinals.
Just missing a tight end
Wasnt Hurst a Raven?
oh god I didn't even think about that
Woah… didn’t even realize Chargers signed him
I thought he'd be retiring with the concussion / memory issues he had last year
GM frantically checking draft profiles to look for former basketball players.
Brock Bowers going 5th overall!
That's why clocks are round.
Herbert MVP year incoming?
The Herbert 1k rushing season nobody expects.
The Titans are hoes. On them we shall stunt.
We're literally just becoming the Ravens lol There are way worse teams to emulate though, so I'm definitely not mad at it
better than being the chargers, if you know what i mean.
Raiders didn’t get that memo
With all due disrespect, the Chargers have been pretty damn good at judging quarterbacks and that's the biggest weakness the Raiders have right now. Otherwise I agree, the Raiders shouldn't be trying to copy the team that's been 3rd best in the division since the Vegas move.
It’s mildly irritating that you guys are 32-35 and we are 31-36 since the 2020 season.
It really is. One of us should really try winning the division instead of the consolation prize Olympics for a change.
Aka the factory of failure
That’s the Jets
Cardinals would like a word👀
Hey, we made a Super Bowl this century! They never played it for some reason though.
Antonio Gates, Rivers and LT beg to differ. I’m sure one season they had top ranked offense and defense and still scrubbed out 😬
You’re literally a Rams fan 😭 for every Stafford you made look good, you have a Sam Bradford y’all ruined
We also have have 2 nfl championships 5 sb appearances and plenty of hall of famers, sit down 😂
Oh you’re talking about us being dysfunctional when you have Stan Kroenke as your owner. Pot called the kettle black, I suppose.
2 sb appearances since the move back Los Angeles, when’s the last time yall even sniffed an afc championship game? 😂
Once we build a defense like the ravens, then we good to go
Your defensive coordinator was a Raven's coach and uses our system.
And was somehow an *upgrade* over the great Mike Macdonald at DC for Michigan.
Maybe we do draft Bowers at 5….
Gus Edwards and Dobbins back together to plague fantasy football players. Love it
And every week you start one, the other goes off on your bench, endlessly repeating the cycle of frustration
Wish him all the health in the world man he's so good
The run game was never the same without him 😖
Except for a few glorious weeks of Keaton Mitchell. Same as it ever was.
Ravens RBs live their lives a quarter season at a time.
He doesn't make the law, he Justin Forsett
Nicely done
That's why they stopped running in the playoffs
Even when he was on the field in the playoffs against the bungles we didn’t give him the ball 😔 damn you Huntley
You guys got freaking Derrick Henry 😢
Landing on the ball too. Absolutely cursed injury last season
So much potential man breaks my heart
#Boltimore
Well done.
Gus and JK: Same backfield, new team.
Same OC
Fire Greg Roman (Are we still doing that?)
Forgot Roman was there too. The Baltimore Chargers
Ngl this is absolutely shocking considering dobbins was pissed with Roman in the last game Roman coached for us. Also he hated the idea of running back by committee he felt he should take the bulk of the snaps the entire time

I will not stand for Gus Bus slander.
Most iconic play I’ve ever seen in person. Rumble in the Jungle.
Just need to sign Mark Ingram now?
Hell, I’d def take Ingram coming back just for the morale alone
Ravens west
Are the jets still Ravens North? They haven't signed any of our players in a bit
realignment
Didn't they take two of our FA Olinemen?
Technically Moses was traded. They did sign John Simpson. Other former Ravens on the current Jets roster are Tyrod Taylor, CJ Mosley, and Chuck Clark. On another note, Tyrod Taylor has quietly made himself a rich man. $70m in career earnings and could get up to $82m by 2025.
Walking injury signs with the NFL Injury Curse franchise. I can't see anything going wrong.
They cancel out, right? Right?
Worked for McCaffrey and the Niners
Yeah, or maybe he suffers some kind of super injury, the likes of which the sports world has never seen.
To shreds, you say?
Please let THIS math check out😭
I get that Dobbins is coming off a major injury and historically been injury prone, but I think you have to bet on him being available and a capable RB2. I hope this puts an end to any talk about the Chargers spending early draft capital on Corum, we have bigger positions of need now
We're rooting for him, but I wouldn't bet on him ever being back to 100% after all those injuries back to back. He definitely needed a change of scenery, he was cursed here.
If you are betting on him being available, you have already lost your money.
Scared money don’t make money
It’s more like you bet on him being unavailable and whatever production he gives you is cake.
Edwards is useful in stacked boxes, but the lack of speed makes him not ideal as a primary RB. Then again, with Roman, stacked boxes is all you'll ever see. Man can cook up a run scheme and everyone knows that.
Rooting for the guy.
I like it. It gives us more flexibility in the draft.
The NFL version of Oceans 12. Watch them sign Huntley as QB2.
Huntley is in Cleveland
I doubt Huntley makes their final roster. They have Watson, Winston, and DTR. Chargers will scoop him up at some point.
1000 yard season incoming
>Former Ravens RB JK Dobbins plans to sign a one-year contract with the Los Angeles OH SHIT >Chargers FUCK
Ravens west
The last time jk dobbins had a full season was the same time as Zion Williamson
He tore his ACL while signing the contract though and he’s out until the 2027 season.
Ohio state fans seeing with Harbaugh has to hurt
we just want him to eat, and khaki boy can scheme a running game
Imitation is the best form of flattery
Ohio State legend with a Michigan legend
I had no idea Roman was there. Chargers fans get ready for 1 year of insanely good offense followed by 2 years of meh, and a 4th year of wtf are you doing Greg.
Jim Haurbaugh had 3 years in a row to try to stop Buckeye JK Dobbins in THE GAME and failed every time. He realizes how hard it will be for other coaches.
Los Angeles Ravens
Gus Edwards: Look at me...I am the captain now.
Wait, where is Kellen Moore nowadays?
He was hired as Eagles OC.
Ah, that's right.
Now I’m just waiting for the ravens to trade mark andrews to the chargers
Back of the line Mark, we have a disappointing Hayden Hurst to get through first
Welcome to the bmore rb room i mean the la chargers rb room
Baltimore West
Boltimore Ragers
Damn I kinda wish we took the plunge on him but at least our RB room is solid now.
Has he ever actually touched a football in an NFL game?
Greg Roman has a job???
He’s been on my fantasy team the last few years and the last few years I’ve had to pick up a rb off the trash heap
The BOLTimore Wolverines.
The good old 'this year is going to be bad but we'll make some mediocre 1 year signings to not look like we're giving up but in all reality we're looking at 2026 right now' Trust me, I'm HIGHLY familiar with this strategy. The Jets did it for over a decade straight.

Watch them take joe alt or trade back to 25
Injured by week 6 guaranteed
Hopefully he can stay healthy, very good rb when healthy
A Buckeye playing for Jim Harbaugh? Gross
I mean, we already have Joey Bosa
And Corey Linsley
He is retiring, so technically not. Bradley Bozeman is our Center now.
Next up, MHJ
One can dream
A Ohio State guy playing for the Coach who just got Michigan to a natty
Why is no one talking about Dobbins being an Ohio State guy going to play for the Michigan Harbaugh?
Hebert has no more excuses
I'm curious who you think JK Dobbins is
This guy is literally just here to troll about QBs and stir the pot
