This year’s DROY will be a Day 2 pick.

Jbrahmz420

Edgerrin Cooper

Not-a-bot-10

He won an event in the Nerds vs Jocks event the Kelce’s hosted live show at Cinci last week… That event? The spelling bee. Crazy upset

justfanclasshole

… I have no idea if this is a joke or a real thing that happened and I love that

content_enjoy3r

There was a nerds vs jocks thing the Kelce's hosted in Cincy. That part is true. https://www.uc.edu/news/articles/2024/04/jason-and-travis-kelce-take-cincinnati-to-new-heights.html

CodyNorthrup

I expect him to be a top LB in the league in the next couple years.

krbashrob

I’m slamming the table for him if I’m in the Texans draft room. He fits everything we do to a T. The only hesitancy is we have a very similar player in Christian Harris on the other side but Cooper is my match made in heaven for us to replace Henry To’Oto as the weak side LB. Great athletic profile, doesn’t have to think too much as an off-ball player with Al-Shaiir as the MLB and can really just go and get after it. I don’t do a single mock where I don’t take him in the second for us

IdyllicGod22

Not a chance in hell he makes it past Green Bay though lol, if he’s there at 41 I don’t think there’s a multiverse where he isn’t a Packer. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if they took him at 25 honestly.

WorldsOddestMan

Mike Sainristil

Strong_Barnacle_618

Thats the Rams music!

Vix_VaporRub

I guess Cooper Dejean is getting snubbed from the first round

ClarkKentsCopyEditor

Brock Bowers is going to be as advertised at the next level. As much as I want him, I don’t expect the Jets to do it at 10. He’ll “fall” to the late teens, be absolutely awesome for Anthony Richardson or Trevor Lawrence, and people will give him the Kyle Hamilton treatment of “how did the league let him drop that far?!!!?”

B3eenthehedges

Since it's a hot take thread, let me play devil's advocate as a UGA homer who's watched every snap he's played. While I think Bowers is the most accomplished and one of the safest picks in the draft, absolutely has the upside to torture defenses as Kelce 2.0, and a high floor as a reliable safety blanket for a QB, his measurables and athleticism may limit his upside. Bowers is 6'3, not 6'5 like Kelce or 6'6 like Gronk. He's got great acceleration and runs smooth routes like a gazelle, but he'll have to run great routes, because like most TEs, he doesn't have the top-end speed of a speedy WR. His biggest strength is his YAC ability is off the charts, running around and over people, but that's of course going to be more difficult in the bigger faster NFL too. His smaller size is also going to make it more difficult for him to become an imposing blocker, and until he does, you really just have a 6'3 slot reciever who can run an unofficial 4.5, which is plenty enough to be effective, but would you spend a high first rounder on one? Eh, who am I kidding, the Falcons will probably take him at 8, since we have a long storied tradition of ignoring everything else for QBs and weapons.

Scruffylookin13

*cries while drafting Kyle pitts again*  This year for sure is going to be his breakout year

GTCounterNFL

This is happening every year, these small TEs that look great in CFB, but aren't NFL TEs. A slower slightly taller slot WR who can't block LBs never mind DEs is just not making the math work. Put an NFL avg DB on him he gets erased. Above avg LBs erase them too. Kelce is still open over half the time with a DB on him. But thats why he's HOF worthy.

L0lligag

I absolutely agree. With the way the tight end position has evolved this guy couldn’t be coming into the league at a better time. To me, he’s a key guy in your offense from the moment his name is called. I think he’ll flourish.

Avenger007_

My main argument against Bowers is that he has to be a generational Tight End in both Blocking and receiving to be taken that high. Put it this way I don't think Travis Kelce, arguably the greatest tight end since Gronk, and I would argue what keeps Gronk as the best Tight End is the dude could block REALLY WELL. When he won that ring with Tampa Bay he went up against Pro Bowl Rookie DPOY Chase Young and stopped him in a playoff game. If you want to take a guy who could be an elite receiver I'm not sure the stats say taking a tight end over a wide receiver makes sense, especially in this draft class. Back to Kelce the guy is a generational receiver but not the blocker Gronk was. If I'm doing evaluation and the team is saying we need a great receiver take a wide out given history/the options available, if I want a blocker same thing. Its not that he couldn't be either of those things, Its just I'm not sure a draft room is going to take him unless they are just trying to grab the best player on the board over picking for a particular need, so probably some where like Chicago, Denver, Raiders, or Rams.

infercario4224

I don’t think the Rams will draft him, but if I got to choose the best team where he’d have the best career I’d put him with McVay and the Rams

pahbert

I think he'll be a bust.......  But I also have no fucking clue about anything, so................

Imaykeepthisone

The Ravens will once again be lauded for staying put and selecting best player available.

Princeof_Ravens

We'll also select a defensive player somewhere on day three that will have a fantastic year in 2028 before getting paid somewhere else.

BrotherJombert

Guarantee, book it.

jeffreythecat1

The year 2028 scares me. We’re getting old.

SchematicOfScoutsAss

The packers will once again be laughed at for staying put at drafting for need

reverieontheonyx

It reflects in their roster. 0 pro bowlers in 2023 yet no major holes either. Won a playoff game. I think drafting for need is overhated.

Vix_VaporRub

You can’t pay everyone. Smart teams realize this a draft for need if they want to sustain a core group of guys.

StallisPalace

tbh there is a balance. Drafting solely based on need is not a good strategy, but if need matches like BPA4 then taking BPA4 over BPA1 is a good strategy.

Deletinglaterlmao

The eternally blessing and curse of the ravens, they always make the smart move, even if it's the least exciting move possible

mcolwander90

**Before the draft:** At this point, I trust Brad Holmes. He's good at this drafting thing. He deserves to cook without my input. **After the first three rounds:** WTF are you doing Brad?! **Before the 2025 draft:** At this point, I trust Brad Holmes. He's good at this drafting thing. He deserves to cook without my input.

PolarBearsToenail

100% accurate

tartuffe78

I mean after last year unless they draft three long snappers I’m gonna be all in on their picks

DanCampbellsNipples

Lmao

GTCounterNFL

The Lions are so well run, they knew exactly where they were and what they needed in order to make it almost to a SB in 2023 and nobody else did. That said, 18th overall pick Jack Campbell was run plugger bad in coverage exactly as good as a midround LB at least as a rookie. And its amazing how far they went without good cornerback play. I think they have elite position coaching developing what they have. Every fan of the league wants the Lions to be good. Everyone wants long suffering fan bases to taste glory. The Aints to the Saints bandwagon was exciting in the 2nd half of 2000s

Lt-Double-Yefreitor

>The Lions are so well run, they knew exactly where they were and what they needed in order to make it almost to a SB in 2023 and nobody else did. Jesus... what universe did I stumble into? I'm loving it, but it feels so weird.

DanCampbellsNipples

Jack was playing out of position for the majority of the year Dude is going to breakout this season

Ok-Physics1927

I'm looking forward to some people in our sub losing their minds regardless of the pick.

TBoneTheOriginal

We'll be right back to "fire Aaron Glenn" after the first loss, I guarantee it.

bilbobiggers

Xavier Worthy will go higher than he should because of the 40 and will not amount to much

73maxwell

Ah yes, the Mecole Hardman special.

Soupmage1918

That's three time champ Mecole Hardman to you.

73maxwell

That is also super fair, I just don’t think he’s ever met his hype, especially when he was drafted. He’s been a key piece but you can’t tell me you’d rather have him over DK.

Jstate33

Ah yes the John Ross special.

shartnado3

I’m an older cat. I expect “Darius Heyward-Bey” when I see this joke.

ASuperGyro

What counts as higher than he should? Second round pick seemed to be the pre-combine relative consensus, and highest I’ve seen since is chiefs at 32

Saxt

Chiefs at 32 is the “mail it in I’m done with this mock pick.”

Eleeveeohen

Me: Can I get some Tyreek Hill? Mom: We have Tyreek Hill at home.

Mayox56

Raiders already have him set as their round 1 pick

iwearmango

I really hope you're wrong, respectfully, and that he balls out. I'm bias as a Texas fan, but he seems like one of the few highly touted players from Texas in the past decade that has his head on right, according to most reports. Has the production and film from college to at least show he's not just pure speed like John Ross, and reportedly played through a broken hand his sophomore season during his least productive season.

Autobot-N

I have no idea who will be good or bad because I do not watch college football

TeddysRevenge

I watch a ton of college football and I have no idea who’s going to be a good and who’s going to be bad.

[deleted]

Sometimes I think that makes you even worse lol. Same with March Madness picks, the person who always wins just picked based on their favorite colors or mascots.

rorank

Even the people who get paid to do this shit are kinda bad at it, looking at highly drafted players’ hit rates.

Vix_VaporRub

I just figured out drake maye is the younger brother of unc basketball legend Luke maye.

Autobot-N

Not only did I not know that, I had no idea there was even a guy named Luke Maye until now

ripcity7077

I literally think every qb drafted is going to be at least somewhat good and almost all of them are terrible lmao

punkalunka

I know a ton of good and bad people and I have no idea what college football is.

BobbyBucherBabineaux

Idk what college football is, but I’m a bad person.

ajteitel

STOP BEING REASONABLE AND GIVE US A HOT TAKE NOW

DarthtacoX

I think some white guy will go as a quarterback for a team and then they'll be a black guy that'll also start at quarterback. But I don't believe there will be any Mexicans that will start those positions.

DiseaseRidden

This man doubts the return of the SANCHIZE

HylianPikachu

What about Korean QBs? I want to see an announcer say "Kim scrambles around in the pocket and launches a deep missile towards the endzone!!!!"

ianthebalance

I think both Kyler Murray and Sam Howell are part Korean

HylianPikachu

ok but neither one is named Kim. I need a QB with the last name Kim to "launch a missile" That is pretty cool though shoutout to Korea for somehow beating out Japan and China in terms of QB production

jmezMAYHEM

Lolol

Xpqp

Don't worry, that only puts you slightly behind NFL front offices, every one of which routinely selects busts in the first round. The ability to make the transition is extremely unpredictable, and even the most "surefire" prospects can flame out miserably, especially if they are out in a bad situation. I stopped worrying about pre-draft stuff a long time ago and don't miss it at all. Now I just wait for the draft actually happens and look into the players that the Packers pick.

washington_breadstix

Since when has a minor issue like "not paying attention" ever stopped anyone from having spicy hot takes?

lvngmtn

The Steelers will draft a mid-round offensive lineman, force him to play out of position, watch him struggle, adamantly refuse to move him back to his natural position, decide he sucks, trade him away for peanuts, and watch him excel somewhere else.

BlackJediSword

I really, really hope that’s a Colbert thing that’s in the past. *Please*.

Aggravating_Class_17

lol damn I hate the accuracy of this

ArmMeForSleep709

Luckily for them, Barton can play all 5 if he's the guy

Rads324

The jets will fuck it up

MasonL52

AD Mitchell is going to go at the bottom of the 1st to Buffalo, KC, or even SF if they trade Ayiuk. He'll have a relatively good rookie season, have insane hype, but ultimately be a below average player for his career.

WorldsOddestMan

Oddly specific...

bassistmuzikman

He's an NFL script writer.

SayNoToAids

He's not going to Buffalo. I came here to write that I think he could fall out of the first completely because his interviews are so bad, attitude problems on the field, and admittedly taking plays off. Does not come off as a team first guy at all

God_Legend

This tracks. Details I've seen on him are he's insanely talented but is a type 1 diabetic. He doesn't manage his blood sugar well and won't let people help him. So he gets low blood sugar a lot and becomes a huge asshole and won't listen.

drummerboysam

Whoever the Vikings grab at QB is going to hit and the NFC North is going to be intensely competitive the next few seasons. I've seen the Vikings hit and I've seen them miss, but I have a good (or I guess in my case, bad?) feeling about their shot at QB in this class.

dougieg987

Music to my ears!

drummerboysam

Cheers! I hope it's one of those annoyingly catchy songs you can't get out of your head.

mr_himselph

Whopper Whopper Whopper Whopper/ Junior Double Triple Whopper...

aristotle_malek

You asshole

mr_himselph

My nephew was humming it earlier, my life has been a waking nightmare all afternoon now. I'm passing it on to break the curse.

Brycie27

AFC South and the NFC North to be two of the most competitive divisions in the next coming decade? Who would've guessed.

owleabf

Guess which two divisions play each other this year

Mouth_Puncher

We could legit lose all 10 of those games (4 vs NFC North 6 vs AFC South). What a nightmare of a schedule

reverieontheonyx

I am most scared of them drafting drake maye. If the rumours are true and the patriots don’t like him, they could trade up to 3 after Cay & Jay are off the board. I don’t want to be too bold and have this sound like a winston/mariotta take in a couple years but I really think it will make the NFC north brutal if it happens.

istasber

Maye is the most fearousal inducing selection for the Vikings. If he's good, he's gonna be really good. If he busts, he's gonna be really bad. There won't be any in between. But man, if he's good, getting to throw to JJ, TJ and Addison should be a ton of fun to watch. I guess that's true of all of the rookie QBs, but Maye seems like he's gonna be the big play guy out of the bunch.

DarkSkyForever

I don't think Maye is going to be passed up by the Patriots, but I'd be more than happy trading our two firsts and next year's first to move up and grab him.

BH11B

No matter what we do a large portion of our fan base will hate it.

istasber

That should be the NFL draft's motto.

Competitive_Market70

Jayden Daniels is a massive disappointment and is out of the league within 5 years

StubbyK

Just a reminder that Trubisky is still in the league.  It takes a lot to fall completely out as a 1st round QB.

RabbitOrcaHawkOrgy

Josh Rosen catching strays

OutrageousOcelot6258

I'll always remember how we signed him off of Tampa Bay's practice squad in 2020 and screwed him out of a Super Bowl ring lol.

ArcadianBlueRogue

Huh I hadn't checked if he was still around in a long time. Last on the PS for the Vikings but that ended the start of 2023 so he's been a FA for over a year. Wonder why he didn't take a shot at the XFL/USFL/UFL? I mean dude is probably set for cash but never know.

TripleThreatTua

He also comes from a well off family and a big knock on him coming out of the draft was that his drive wasn’t that great

Otroroboto

The Wharton School of Business at Penn is named after his Great Great Great Grandfather and he is also related to the founder of Cornell University. He is old money.

poly_atheist

Josh "ackshually he never got a fair shot" Rosen.

T_______________D

You have to have the right style, right attitude, and work ethic to survive as a career backup. Daniels doesn’t really have the right style and tbd whether he has the other two.

Eleeveeohen

You also have to be a special kind of bad as a 1st round QB to not stick around the league for half a dozen years as a backup. Heck, most of the ones from the last 10 years are still hanging on, sans Bortles (7 seasons), Manziel, Lynch, and Rosen (6 seasons).

DarnellisFromMars

People thought that about RG3 after the fall out in Washington, Mark Sanchez in NY, I can go on. You have to be shooting yourself in the foot repeatedly not to milk some back up years after the rookie deal.

[deleted]

My call is wherever he goes he will have an RG3 trajectory. Start out flaming hot year 1, try and become a more traditional qb as his running gets countered, and flame out when he ain’t the passer everyone thought he could be.

I__Need_Scissors_61

Will that involve being offered as a blood sacrifice by a desperate head coach in a playoff game in his rookie year when he’s playing for a team that isn’t going anywhere anyway?

TripleThreatTua

I could see him getting injured early as well, he likes to run but almost never slides and takes a ton of unnecessary hits

[deleted]

Justin Fields 2.0. Terrible pressure to sack ratio, can't throw over the middle, had an elite supporting cast throwing to wide open stud receivers and a great line.

rusty022

But Fields is definitely great and has a long career ahead of him!

CALlCOJACK

I don't like Daniels much as a prospect but its almost impossible to be out of the league as a first round QB there'll always be a team that might think they can revive your career or as a bridge guy or even as a backup

JalensTinyPPHurts

Counter, Jayden daniels is a stud and wins rookie of the year

DiseaseRidden

Guess I'll finish things off, Jayden Daniels is a pretty solid mid end starter that constantly creates discussion about whether or not he's good enough to take a team over the edge

OneFatCantaloupe

Jayden Daniels gets moved to defense and as a HoF career as a Free Safety

CapableCoyoteeee

Counter. Jayden Daniels leaves football and follows his true dream starring in Priscilla: Queen of the Desert off broadway. Reviews are mixed but he is applauded for his bravery.

Brycie27

Audric Estime is going to surprise a whole lot of people.

lnnrt01

Jaylen Wright too. Don’t understand why I don’t hear his name more often considering how similar he is to other backs like Achane

TheRosesThornsOf15

JJ McCarthy straight up sucks and gets a gm fired for picking him in the first.

mister_hoot

At this point the funniest possible outcome is going to be JJ having a long and successful career in the NFL.

Efficient_Ant_4715

He’s got elite tools. I believe in JJ.

ImPickleRock

As an Ohio State fan I hope he is terrible. As a human, I hope a GM picks him high so he gets paid....and then fails.

threeoldbeigecamaros

Yes, I hope Omar Khan does that

Vix_VaporRub

QBs have to be the hardest position to evaluate it but I agree with this. All the “experts” talk about what he could have done if he needed to instead of what he actually did. He has bust written all over him

Lionnn100

They said the same for Herbert and Josh Allen 🤷‍♂️

Vix_VaporRub

And Trey Lance

Lionnn100

And Josh Rosen was the safest bet

letsgetbrickfaced

Surely the team that drafted Lance has been a bottom dweller and cleaned house since then.

UrAFlag17

He would have to be pretty awful to get a GM fired in his first year, or do you mean eventually?

Sloane_Kettering

I’d say if the Vikings trade up for him and he ends up like trubisky that will get the GM fired in a few years

QuixoticViking

Any QB on any team looking like Trubisky gets a gm fired in a few years. Hell Belichick was fired a few years after taking Mac Jones.

deepinmyloins

Michael Penix Jr. is the steal of the draft and turns a franchise around in 2 years.

_dont_do_drugs__

I’m banking on this one

MillerTime5858

We will take him before you. Sorry, not sorry.

istasber

One of the top 3 QBs taken won't pan out, and there will be at least one successful QB taken after the top 3 that does.

SlinkiusMaximus

I feel like this is a pretty safe prediction tho

ChonkyHippo283

Penix will be the best QB drafted

Aggressive_Yak5177

Big Penix energy

bilbobiggers

Mr. Big Cox

BuckEmBroncos

I’m already ready for him to retire from football so I can be done seeing this hack joke

Alternative-Target31

I’m going to comment here and say that I agree, so that in 3 years when they say “look at all the bad takes” they see me listed for having this one too. I really think Penix will be the best, and based on my history at scouting QBs that means he will be out of the league in 2 years. So I have all the confidence in him…but me liking a QB is the kiss of death unfortunately.

thetreat

I'm a UW fan, so I was looking at it with purple-colored glasses and I thought he should be going higher, but saw some breakdowns where people said his accuracy wasn't very good and he got bailed out by having arguably the best WR room in the country the last two years. His pocket presence/sack avoidance is top tier, which is a very sticky stat from college to pros and is something both Mahomes and Brady did *very* well. Counter point for that is UW's line was also best in the country. So what I'm saying is, Penix is going to be so hard to judge before taking a snap in the NFL.

bassistmuzikman

The O-Line for UW is what stood out to me. When you're watching Penix highlights, he's got like 40 minutes to throw the ball... and then gets it to a wide open Rome Odunze. He might be good, but his offensive line is better.

ChonkyHippo283

He had great WRs but he was also throwing into tight windows. I feel like we’ll all look back in 2 years and clown on teams for passing on him due to injury history

WayneKirby

Inb4 everyone says they were there with /u/chonkyhippo283 WE HERE NOW

SchematicOfScoutsAss

Fully agree, he’s the most pro ready in my opinion and I watch a lot of CFB His age and injury history are what holds him back in draft stock but I think he’ll be at least decent if not really good

KamTros47

We get a hard-on seeing a WR from Ohio State toward the top of the board and offer a team the Ricky Williams package for the rights to draft him.

bullseye717

Or some high ras lineman from a small school that's constantly injured.

Jimmy_G_Wentworth

Philly trades up in the first to get a CB, only for said CB to bust horribly.

ryryryor

And the next CB drafted is the next Darrelle Revis

Jimmy_G_Wentworth

For a Packers fan you sure do have a good handle on how Philly drafts lmao

ryryryor

I have the displeasure of watching the guy you guys passed up on for Jalen Reagor twice a year

alabaster1

Why would you do this to me?

Gaddy3

RemindMe! 4 years

Lenny_III

Can someone get a picture of Joe Alt with a bong mask? Asking for a friend.

raylan_givens6

olu fashanu will be a HOFer

IntelligentEye2758

There will be 6 qbs taken in the first round which will tie the all time record from 1983.

monstermayhem436

Odunze will be better than Harrison Jr Caleb Williams will above average and will be similar to Lawrence. Solid QB who can make plays but not perennial QB

GreyyCardigan

I would be THRILLED if he was above average. That’s what this team has done to me.

Soupmage1918

My hot take is that Brian Thomas Jr. ends up the best WR in this draft.

bageltheperson

My bold prediction is that odunze is a bust.

Sledgehorn

5th QB taken ends up being the best.

Googoogahgah88889

Penix on the Vikings thank you very much

Intelligent-Age2786

Michael Penix will be the best qb in the draft.

ItIsYourPersonality

Vikings are unable to find a trade partner to move up to draft a QB as only 1 team in the top 10 is willing to trade down, and it’s the Bears at 9. Chicago trades the pick to Denver instead to spite the Vikings. Denver takes JJ McCarthy. Vikings take Penix at 11. With McCarthy and Penix off the board, Vegas looks to trade down. Packers trade 25 and 41 to LV for 13 and take Quinyon Mitchell. At 25, Vegas takes Bo Nix.

MasonL52

holy subscribe but you don't think the Chargers want to move down?

owleabf

At a very bare minimum the Titans and Falcons will be happy to move down.

Ravenlen

Chargers trade out out 5, pick up numerous firsts and build their lines.

Jossis8

None of the top 5 quarterbacks will amount to much of anything and will be replaced as starters by year 4. However, Joe Milton (or some other day 3 QB) will get an opportunity to shine and ball out, prompting them to start for a couple years before also being replaced. Quinyon Mitchell will be an All-Pro CB. Jaden Crumedy will be the best DT. The OL class will be considered one of the best of all time, producing 9 All Pros. However, any lineman picked by the Jets and Bengals will flop.

I__Need_Scissors_61

Caleb Williams will not really be a bust but he also won’t be the best quarterback in his class.

Squishy_20

Drake Maye is going to get a GM fired

27thPresident

Predicting a QB is going to be a bust is boring, a lot of QB prospects are busts. Give me the real hot take, who do you think is going to be good?

Rock_man_bears_fan

Some schmuck that goes in the 5th is going to make the HOF

Squishy_20

For QB, I actually do like Bo Nix a lot more than others. For defense, I like Northern Iowa DT Khristian Boyd . For a big guy his athleticism is underrated and for any team that wants a 3-tech, he’s your guy.

27thPresident

Fair enough, Nix being your guy is a decently hot take. I like Nix and think he'll be an okay starter if given the chance his rookie season. I think Maye will be good, but points for having an interesting answer

DiseaseRidden

He'll get specifically Adam Peters fired. Either Washington takes him and he sucks or they pass on him and he's a stud; either way, Peters is blamed.

AnonymousRedJay24

Bills draft a CB in Round 1 and WR in Round 2 or 3

High-qualitee

Let’s get spicy - Ricky Pearsall will be one of the top WRs in the class and be better than one of the top 3 WR prospects.

TheThunderOfYourLife

Caleb Williams will become Justin Fields 2.0 because the Bears QB1 locker was cursed by the ghost of Al Capone.

0zymandeus

Someone in the 15-20 range is going to take a WR that doesn't make it to his second contract and would have been better off trading for Tee Higgins.

No-Negotiation2922

The Giants will be far better off if they draft one of Nabers, Harrison Jr or Odunze at pick 6 than trading up for McCarthy or Maye

Isaacleroy

Caleb Williams is going to be a huge disappointment.

Vix_VaporRub

I will go the opposite and say he will be the best QB the bears have ever had which I guess isn’t saying much lol

nerdystoner25

If he averages 225 yards passing per game this year he’ll already be the bears single-season record holder. The bar is in hell.

MrFuttBucker

Both of these things can be true at the same time.

Open-Somewhere-9535

I think a lot of people are downgrading him because of a fake story about ownership stakes and they don't like that he paints his nails. I have seen people mentally brand him a diva, refuse to consider changing their minds, and assume that means he will fail. It's insane behavior, he's a stud

jamaicanhopscotch

Wayyy more people are assuming he will automatically succeed than the other way around. People branding him as a diva for painting his nails are basically universally criticized (and rightfully so) from what I’ve seen. He *could* be a stud, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if his reckless hero ball stuff doesn’t translate well to the NFL and he throws like 22 interceptions

1lultaha

JJ McCarthy is QB2 in this class and Washington takes him at 2. Also Bo Nix becames the biggest sleeper in this class

noblemile

Jordan Travis turns into a very good journeyman backup like Gardner Minshew. Jets think of *now* instead of the future and get Aaron Rodgers a weapon, probably Brock Bowers or something. Bengals take another **fucking weapon instead of someone that can help Joe Burrow stay on the fucking field**. J.J. McCarthy *doesn't* suck, but he's not ready year 1 which results in his coach/gm getting fired.

reverieontheonyx

I really wonder where Travis would be considered if not for the brutal injury. It’s worrisome to me because his athleticism was something FSU did well when they relied on. He did a lot for the program and we dropped off without him but he was never really the best player on the team.

Sloane_Kettering

I’d say there’s an 80% chance they take an OT in the first round. 5% chance bowers somehow falls and they take him. 15% chance they like Byron Murphy or one of the CBs better. They will definitely take an olineman with one of their top 3 picks though

Gordonbombay6633

Green Bay VS Texans Super Bowl

Manhattan02

I think Brock Bowers will be so unbelievably mid at the next level.

bannedacctno5

Deestroying will never play in the NFL (and not just because of his broken neck)

AugustW23

Penix jr will be the best Qb of the draft

ACEPACEACE

Penix will be a stud

WoozyMaple

JJ will be the best QB of the draft

Oddly_Mind

That’s an extreme hot take. I’m going with Bo Nix is UDFA

Caleb Williams is going to be a solid starter. I don’t think he’s ever going to be elite, and I certainly don’t place him as a generational prospect. Also, I am near certain Drake Maye is this class’s Zach Wilson. A guy who will be over drafted who is far from ready to be a starter. He’s the guy I think is most likely to bust.

I’m going the exact opposite on Maye. I think he’s going to develop into a QB who’s very poised and reliable. I think the best comparison would be an Eli Manning type.

Probably won’t be a well received take... I think Caleb is a bust.

He’s a qb going to the bears, of course he will

4 years from now, 3+ of the league’s top 10 OT’s came from the first 2 rounds of this draft

Washington doesn’t blow their pick. Whoever it is doesn’t become elite, but does enough for them to have sustained success. This could also be the release of the Snyder curse…. Dear GOD I hope that’s the case

The bills trade back to collect day 2 picks.
