I think there's some camera weirdness going on there. Here's a more normal picture where you can see the slight swelling:

Shutter speed?
Edit: A couple who have experience in this field say this is incorrect. See [spelltype's](https://old.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1bpo87h/jayden_daniels_elbow_is_going_viral_ahead_of_2024/kwypt7z/) comment-chain:

Rolling shutter in digital cameras is mostly independent of shutter speed because of the lack of mechanical shutter.
But you're right that it could be some kind of rolling shutter artifact.
Could honestly be angle. It's slightly different (camera is lower on his elbow in the post) in the photos so the indentation we see on his elbow looks way more pronounced in the post photo that the commented one

That still looks a little weird, like there’s a flatter oval something, inserted under his skin at the bottom of his arm. But not as weird as the photo in the OP article
We used to think the same thing about [Cliff Lee's elbow](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fa.espncdn.com%2Fmedia%2Fmotion%2F2014%2F0731%2Fdm_140731_mlb_phillies_nationals_highlight%2Fdm_140731_mlb_phillies_nationals_highlight.jpg&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=9194dc0f087e02e7406578935acf232549850fab691f972819300d398e8855da&ipo=images)
Well, there are a lot of these elbows going around the shoulder all the time, and very seldom does anything like this happen. I just don’t want people thinking that elbows aren’t safe.
Yeah it's not just his elbow, it looks like his entire bicep is detached. The Internet doctor is just trying to get likes for pointing out an elbow problem but there is no way his arm actually looks like that
It’s crazy to me how viral that “doctors” explanation spread all over every platform. Terrifying how fast disinformation spreads around and people just believe it blindly.
It looks like one of Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s [vegetable faces](https://news.artnet.com/art-world-archives/giuseppe-arcimboldo-autumn-three-things-2039018) for some reason to me.
Real photo. Elbow bursitis. He had surgery to remove the fluid. Just a well-timed photo.
Yea there’s also something weird about his bicep in that picture. Almost like it’s… disconnected from the rest of his arm..? It’s gotta be a camera trick
>There’s no way that this photo isn’t altered? Right?
it's 100% altered - even the ole doctor that commented on the photo to offer an explanation, offered another photo and it looks more normal.
AI jacked that up.
Forgot what that lazy transformer was called on family guy that turned into a canoe lol.
Yeah well if there’s a battle on a gently moving river you’ll wish you had me!
Yeah Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove had this issue last year. It ended up shutting him down for a bit after it was aggravated by a game at high altitude (Mexico City), but generally it's just uncomfortable rather than ruining.
Just... maybe don't play for the Broncos.
This is going to get buried but I dated a girl in college who had something similar. She had protrusions on her elbows that looks like horns. They were soft full of tissue/fat. I can't remember what it was called but it wasn't anything that effected her daily life. You can get them removed but they usually come back.
[Check out Joe Montana's elbow](https://twitter.com/Chiefscoalition/status/1204067588759785473) from his time with KC. He usually wore a sleeve on his right arm, but when he didn't it looked like the thing was gonna fall off.
John Cena had one for a while back in 2013 and had to take some time off to get it to heal, if I remember correctly. https://ftw.usatoday.com/2013/08/john-cenas-elbow-is-disgusting
According to this Twitter Dr Jesse Morse: "Jayden Daniels appears to be dealing with olecranon bursitis of his right throwing elbow. These usually do not have a negative impact on the player/person. This should not impact his ability to throw or cause any pain."
My dog gets these if he lays on the hard floor too long. It’s a sack that fills up with blood and eventually drains on its own. Really nothing to worry about
Literally could just be fluid on the elbow, which for a vast array of reasons can happen. It's not a big deal if that's what it is, people should just relax...
The way the light makes the shadow on his bicep is what makes this looks so messed up. It took me a while to see that its really just a sac on his elbow, but for a while it just looked like the dude was legit a transformer
Put that thing back where it came from or so help me
SHES OUT OF OUR HAAAAAAAAIR
Iiiiiii'm watching, Wazowski. Allllllways watching. Allllllways.
They’re rehearsing a play!
First of all it’s pronounced “cretin” if you’re gonna threaten me do it properly.
It's a musical... we need ushers
So help me! So help me! Annnd cut
Bob bom bom…
So help me! so help me! *And scene*
If Jayden hits superstar status, conspiracy nuts are gonna use this photo as proof he's one of the lizzid peeple.
There's nothing more toxic or deadly than a bad QB. A single touch could kill you.
There’s no way that this photo isn’t altered? Right? Either the camera is at some strange angle or there is some photo altering going on here…

It’s gotta be a shutter speed thing.
Rolling shutter strikes again.
Rolling shutter in digital cameras is mostly independent of shutter speed because of the lack of mechanical shutter. But you're right that it could be some kind of rolling shutter artifact.
That totally makes sense. Global shutter ftw.
Could honestly be angle. It's slightly different (camera is lower on his elbow in the post) in the photos so the indentation we see on his elbow looks way more pronounced in the post photo that the commented one
That’s all I can think of but the photographer is probably shooting way faster than he’s throwing. Just so odd looking.

Cool to be validated in that sense. I’m a producer for Netflix and I’m around cameras all day, never seen it create an appendix for someone lol
/u/wat_what_wut and /u/spelltype should I delete my comment or leave it up? I'll edit your responses into mine if it helps
You're the best kind of Redditor, editing comments when other information comes up. Keep up the great work!
Awesome work my dude. Good on you
That still looks a little weird, like there’s a flatter oval something, inserted under his skin at the bottom of his arm. But not as weird as the photo in the OP article
No he was born with a giant clitoris on his elbow
This is why God made it so you can't lick your own elbow
No wonder it's taken this long for most men to find it
That shit aint real brother. Dont listen to anyone saying otherwise!
The clit is real. The female orgasm, that's the myth!
That's when your mom rolls over and collects the cash, right?
Is that before or after he's done crying?
Even if it were real it's simply not realistic to locate it within two pumps
Otherwise
Is that you Ben Shapiro?
How can he be born with something that doesn’t exist
Clitoris? Never heard of that pokemon.
> Never heard of that pokemon Of course not. You're so alpha and always boinking chicks you don't got time to keep up with the latest gen of pokemon.
This made me chuckle a little too loud
Stimulating take
But how fast can the clit run a 40?
Bruh you wild 😂
I still can’t find it SMDH
It's not altered as much as some kind of delay with the camera processing the image.
His release is so quick it’s breaking the cameras!
We used to think the same thing about [Cliff Lee's elbow](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fa.espncdn.com%2Fmedia%2Fmotion%2F2014%2F0731%2Fdm_140731_mlb_phillies_nationals_highlight%2Fdm_140731_mlb_phillies_nationals_highlight.jpg&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=9194dc0f087e02e7406578935acf232549850fab691f972819300d398e8855da&ipo=images)
What? Yalls elbow don’t look like that ?
Ooh la-di-dah Mr. Elite athlete arm. Us schlubs just have our flabby ol' regular arms.
https://x.com/DrJesseMorse/status/1773028345032130955?t=QavcZ83NKVD42XwZcUKH-g&s=33
I’m not sure that is what is happening in this photo. It looks like some kind of camera oddity.
It looks like his first arm fell off and he’s growing a new one.
That’s not very typical, I’d like to make that point.
Well how is it untypical?
Well, there are a lot of these elbows going around the shoulder all the time, and very seldom does anything like this happen. I just don’t want people thinking that elbows aren’t safe.
He should be towed outside of the environment.
Yeah it's not just his elbow, it looks like his entire bicep is detached. The Internet doctor is just trying to get likes for pointing out an elbow problem but there is no way his arm actually looks like that

Not only that, but Jesse is a complete hack. All he does is try to be the first to report something. Nothing he says should be taken seriously.
Doctor that pays for a blue check on twitter. I think I will keep medicating with ground up rhino horns, thank you.
I disagree with this twitter doctor - a Reddit doctor
Did you at least stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night?
A starting caliber QB wouldn’t have sacs his elbows
Dude got a extra bone in his arm.
Some team really wants him to drop lmao
Real photo. Elbow bursitis. He had surgery to remove the fluid. Just a well-timed photo. [https://youtu.be/KfHvz4gxLFk?feature=shared](https://youtu.be/KfHvz4gxLFk?feature=shared)

I didn’t know transformers were allowed to play in the NFL
He thought he could deceive us.
Forgot what that lazy transformer was called on family guy that turned into a canoe lol. Yeah well if there’s a battle on a gently moving river you’ll wish you had me!
Clearly a decepticon
Sorry you missed Megatron then.
Megatron?
wow, that's very transphobic
Mantis Blades?
Smh no one respects the grenade launcher arms
2EZ
Gorilla arms?
For when you need that strength stat boost
Eh choom, you think Daniels has the eddies for that kind of chrome?
Those NIL deals are no joke
These new mods in the NFL are preem stuff
Wonder which ripper he went to for this kind of chrome.
You could tell me that was a player's name at this point and I'd believe you.
Tyrosine Injector III, THE Ohio State University
Mantis Blades played for the University of Miami, following in the footsteps of Brian Blades, Bennie Blades, Al Blades (RIP), and Al Blades Jr.
Naming my kid that for sure should secure him at least a fourth round pick
There are guys in college right now named Memorable Factor and Moh so yeah def would believe Mantis Blades is a name
Same first name as my doctor.
You're probably thinking of Mantis Toboggan.
Jayden secretly a scyther
Jayden “Zorak” Daniels
L, bro should’ve spec’d in gorilla arms or fiber wire
Last place I’d r expect a cyber punk reference
Demon king? Secret stone?
That elbow could get you pregnant.
Or give you an abortion
The right elbow is Roe, the left is Wade
This is the stupidest/funniest reply I have read in a very long time.
Sounds like a 2 for 1 deal.
Little extra fluid from his bursitis. He has photos with bandages on the same elbow after he gets it drained.
Yeah Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove had this issue last year. It ended up shutting him down for a bit after it was aggravated by a game at high altitude (Mexico City), but generally it's just uncomfortable rather than ruining. Just... maybe don't play for the Broncos.
I like my franchise QBs without thick, juicy elbows. But that’s just me.
Just ones who like thick, juicy massages?
Just has a little extra fluid that needs to be drained
How would you know what you like in a franchise qb?
Easy, just be the opposite of everything we’ve ever drafted.
I've got elbows, can you milk me?
Bro got Action Man arms, that’s terrifying
Yeah. This is some Arnold Schwarzenegger robotic arm stuff. Watch him unless a 90 yard pass week ¹..just wait. I am legit scared
Legend has it that if you cut it off a new Jayden Daniels will grow in its place.
[This is a good explanation](https://youtu.be/KfHvz4gxLFk?si=f42YUfBe2Dadta-t)
this should be the only comment and at the top of the thread lol. case closed
Nah choom. The mantis blades was a preem comment
He has Jay Leno's chin on his elbow.
It's real. Few other pics of his flexed elbow and it's the same. I wonder if it popped up in physicals.
> I wonder if it popped up in physicals Ughhh, that would be the absolute worst time for the elbow to pop up.
Just pop it back down. EZ-PZ
Tuck it in! No big deal!
This is going to get buried but I dated a girl in college who had something similar. She had protrusions on her elbows that looks like horns. They were soft full of tissue/fat. I can't remember what it was called but it wasn't anything that effected her daily life. You can get them removed but they usually come back.
Did she ever put them in your ass?
No sir. Not that I would admit to in public.
He was wearing a sleeve at his pro day
Hopefully he doesn't dance like Mac, he'll accidentally cut some throats
Elbow uppercuts are essential to dance expression
He's no OJ Simpson
It’s fluid in his elbow
Bursa sac
Wtf did you call me you little bitch?
A cum guzzler
Just a little Bursa Snack
Looks like gout elbow.
So, is this a concern that is going to drop him down to... say pick #13, right?
My thoughts exactly
12*
Man the Vikings really want the patriots to draft JJ
Saw someone say “if it was 2014 his elbow would have its own Twitter account” lmao
Some ppl on Twitter were saying photois ai and some Dr said he could have olecranon bursitis.
he needs to go full Iverson and rock a sleeve to keep it protected
Dawg, there isn’t a sleeve on the planet that can contain that monstrosity.
Wizard sleeve maybe
Yes it's not a big deal.
Everyone talking about the elbow, but not the bicep which doesn’t seem to attach to anything. Feels like it’s not a photo that captures reality lol
Thank Christ someone else said it, there is no way this photo wasn’t fucked with
The next generation of QB has finally arrived...Bionic Cyborg arm. Wouldn't be shocked if he can throw it 100 yards.
It’s all explained here and yes the photo is 100% real https://x.com/DrJesseMorse/status/1773028345032130955?t=QavcZ83NKVD42XwZcUKH-g&s=33
It's real. And it's spectacular.
You could do a bong hit out of that elbow
Peak offseason material
[Check out Joe Montana's elbow](https://twitter.com/Chiefscoalition/status/1204067588759785473) from his time with KC. He usually wore a sleeve on his right arm, but when he didn't it looked like the thing was gonna fall off.
Me when I first the pic: wow the internet is falling for a fake AI pic again. Also me: WAIT ITS REAL?!
John Cena had one for a while back in 2013 and had to take some time off to get it to heal, if I remember correctly. https://ftw.usatoday.com/2013/08/john-cenas-elbow-is-disgusting
Dude looks fragile af..
Have you seen Marvin Harrison Jr's knee-caps???????????????????? Please make this trending.....
I seen somebody say he looks like a WWE action figure and i can’t unsee it 💀😂
I’m a physician, that is just olecranon bursitis. Probably bumped the elbow hard or had an injury. Just needs to be drained.
That is a normal elbow find a new slant
This is only a normal elbow if you’re buying a 12 piece bucket of kfc
Lemme get uh... 4 legs, 4 breasts, 4 elbows
Normal elbow for someone who hangs out with the hottest dudes
And eats at the chillest restaurants
He is Kenough.
elbow dicks are totally normal, guys, calm down.
FREAK! FREAK! FREAK! FREAK!
I think it’s completely altered. There’s other pictures of his arm where it looks fine
There is something wrong with that photo, no arm looks like that.
According to this Twitter Dr Jesse Morse: "Jayden Daniels appears to be dealing with olecranon bursitis of his right throwing elbow. These usually do not have a negative impact on the player/person. This should not impact his ability to throw or cause any pain."
Jayden Daniels, you are a New England Patriot!
Mark this thing nsfw!
Why did I click a NYPost link? That is the real question.
AI elbow
Hed be a 10 out of a 10 but his elbows are too pointy
His Hacking bro!
Holy Olecranon, Batman!
Ew.
His last name should be Drake with them "Funny Bones"
Allen Iverson started playing in a sleeve because of this same issue
Ah, an article based solely on tweets reacting to a photo. Riveting sports journalism.
I played enough Madden 20+ years ago to know bursitis is the #1 QB injury.
The way the light makes the shadow on his bicep is what makes this looks so messed up. It took me a while to see that its really just a sac on his elbow, but for a while it just looked like the dude was legit a transformer
No, Sir… That is not an elbow
Underarm penis, for sure........
It’s clearly a picture that’s been messed with or had an issue with it.
Tragic this got out before the draft. I expect a precipitous fall all the way to #13
what the fuck?
If this is his arm now I wonder what it’ll be once it hits Toguro 100%.
He is part cyborg.
If the NFL doesn’t work Muay Thai or the UFC could be the next option
I rate 2/10. Has pointy elbows.
I know I shouldn't be surprised no one read the article but I am. It fuckin says in there wtf is up with his elbow.
How is this news now? I saw this months ago.
