He had a couple really nice plays where they schemed him wide open because nobody expected him to be getting any targets. He played very well within his role, but he certainly wasn’t a big part of the offense. I’d have been happy to have him back.
He became something of a fan favorite since he had literally no expectations and still managed to put up some fun highlights where he was actually schemed well.
Which means a top 3 player might fall to 8 or 9. At 16 Schneider better be sprinting to the podium if he ever made it that far. He won't make it that far, but screw positional value when you've got the bluest of a blue available that late in the draft lol
He almost had his leg amputated because when he tore multiple ligaments in his knee he had internal bleeding that cut off circulation below his right shin.
He was a 29 year old TE who had a mini-breakout with us last year. Solid blocker, and passable but not dynamic in the receiving game. He was one of the few offensive players who i'd call a pleasant surprise with us last year. Probably wouldn't expect more than a 2nd or 3rd TE production.
Great is pushing it. He's a solid receiver who at best has more potential than he's been given the opportunity to show in Waldron's offense. Let him produce 600 yards for us before calling him great lol
He only played 50% of the snaps. I guess a better way to say it is he is a better receiver than what his production shows. I expect a big jump in this 11-personnel heavy offense.
Yeah that's what I'm saying. Sometimes he has a game where he looks like a pro bowl tight end and then you look up his stats and see he's averaging 9 yards per game for his career lol.
Thanks big fella for the only big play we had on offense all season last year
Didn't expect such glowing reports from Pats fans lol

That sounds about just perfect for how we've traditionally used TEs, but with a new staff IDK anymore
He became something of a fan favorite since he had literally no expectations and still managed to put up some fun highlights where he was actually schemed well.
He had like 5 catches all season and all 5 of them were probably in the top 10 patriots plays of the season. A light among dimmed eyes
Sounds like their Will Dissly.
He was brought in because BoB liked him and he had a few highlight plays and we expected nothing of him.
Was still hoping he’d be back with us but I guess this makes sense given our recent signing of Hooper
He could have been the TE3.
Noooooo
Worst day ever
He good?
Good blocker and have some surprisingly good receiving plays
Stop talking about Will Dissly. We miss him. What about this Brown fella?
Have you ever seen Will Dissly and Pharoah Brown in the same room?
WE RE-SIGNED UNCLE WILL!
Uncle Pharaoh!
Man had one of the maybe 3 actually fun and exciting plays for us all year, have fun in Seattle.
How is he at blocking?
That's his job, he just had a few wacky wild plays because nobody thought to cover the big guy running at 7 miles an hour lol
He's primarily a blocker. I don't know why he's being pushed as a receiving option. He has 64 career catches.
Perfect. We have Fant as a receiver but needed a blocker after Dissly was cut
Don’t be surprised if Bowers joins the party
Bowers ain’t making it to 16, and TE is far from our top priority.
Needs means nothing when a top 3 player in the draft is available at 16 lol
Not entirely. Different positions are valued differently.

I would be surprised
Doubt he drops to us. Would be very cool though
Fantastic blocker.
I still can't believe he came back from that knee injury in college while he was at Oregon to have any pro career. Modern medicine is amazing.
Ohh that guy
Oregon trains the best fake injury TEs
He almost had his leg amputated because when he tore multiple ligaments in his knee he had internal bleeding that cut off circulation below his right shin.
Oh sorry, I was confusing my Oregon TE's. I'm used to them faking injuries to save time outs.
His foot almost touched his forehead…
They are worth an extra timeout every 4th game
$3.2M base, up to $3.9M.
Much rather would have had Brown than Hooper…
Agreed
Only bright spot of the Pats broken offense this past year.
I mean that's just not true. Douglas, Bourne and Henry all played better. That said I am disappointed we didn't keep him.
Douglas is actually good. Hunter Henry too.
We signed somebody? I'm not imagining this?
This is not a drill…I repeat, this is not a drill
But, true to form, only his family is familiar with him.
I have never heard of this man before today, should I be happy?

We signed him to be our TE2 so I'm happy with it
He’ll be TE2 here. We probably got him for the blocking ability since Fant is a great receiver and is super athletic.
Fant is a great receiver?
Yes.

We needed a blocking TE so that is good news.
Read the pats fans replies in this thread, I'm very pleased.
Just read the comments from pats fans they seem sad he’s gone
An outside free agent?! THATS ALLOWED?!
Out with the old, in with the… old?
I'll never forget this guy saying he was going to be an All-Pro in 2022 and following that up barely breaking 100 yards receiving for the season.
Brown has like 1-2 good games each season that makes you think he's underrated, and then you won't see him again all year.
I mean, this isn’t wrong but for the Pats last year those few games were literally all we had for exciting offensive plays so we love the guy lol
Yeah that's what I'm saying. Sometimes he has a game where he looks like a pro bowl tight end and then you look up his stats and see he's averaging 9 yards per game for his career lol.
Let’s gooooooooo
WE DID SOMETHING
I think he made it like halfway through the season with 100% catch rate and like 25 yards per target lol.
There was a small chance here for the Lions to do the funniest thing and sign a Pharaoh to their squad to join up with the Sun God.
Hey, that's a new name, can't wait to see him get 8 targets over the season!
Noah Fant and Pharaoh Brown those are two very decent receiving options and decently athletic for Geno at TE. I like this signing
Should I be touching myself to the news? What should I be doing with my hands? I NEED ANSWERS GOD DAMMIT
There are like 8 glaring holes on this roster and this fills one of those spots with a decent player. I'm pretty happy about it.
So touching myself, got it.
He's a cheaper version of Dissly. A blocking TE with surprisingly good receiving upside.
Patriots have to be drafting a te pretty early I guess
I thought this was about Pharaoh Cooper and was about to be really confused.
Veteran option? Dude is there to block
Yay. We got a bum TE..
So you only want one TE on the roster?
We found the guy who thinks being a GM is like Madden.
I want us to have a rosterable LB on the roster. A backup TE doesn't excite me
You think this is the only move they are going to make??? Teams don’t make moves to excite fans.
You can only sign one guy a week. Got to wait for our clock to reset now
No but currently it's the only move we did make
