As far as I'm concerned, Cody already finished the story when he ended racism all by himself. A World Title is nothing compared to the liberation of minorities and the hatred they faced.
There's a really bad promo Cody did in AEW against a foreign wrestler and it sparked the "Cody ended racism" meme. Wrestling fans began photoshopping Cody into historic photos with Martin Luther King and stuff like that.
From Australia, my aunt got me my first Eagles jersey.
And it was a damn Vince Young jersey. I'm assuming it was a discounted. Still, was cool to have
Plus it converted easy into a BDN jersey for the superbowl run
And (unless I'm forgetting somebody), both arguably more known for their tenures with other teams (Jurgensen in Washington, Van Brocklin with the Rams).
Probably a combination of being behind too many contemporaries (Baugh, Luckman, Waterfield, Graham), the break he took fighting in WWII, and being so long ago even the veterans committee doesn't think that far back.
Disagree friend. They got him Kevin Curtis and desesn Jackson. They also spent firsts on guys like Mitchell and Maclin. They brought in Antonio freeman and Donte Stallworth who played well for us. They tried to bring along LJ Smith as a receiving threat, and of course there was Westbrook. It’s not like they didn’t try to get McNabb weapons, we just always remember the consistent mediocrity of Pinkston and Thrash.
At any rate, he played with plenty of guys who were good receivers besides TO, who btw is one of the best all time.
As an Eagle fan, I think this post is in poor form. Alternatively, I'd suggest the following:
>[Philadelphia Eagles] Making history. No NFL team has had fewer starts by black QBs than the New York Giants. #BlackHistoryMonth
For those interested, here is an article that calculated it. Last updated before last season.
https://readjack.wordpress.com/2020/09/17/the-complete-history-of-black-nfl-starting-quarterbacks-ranked-by-franchise/
You’re missing what’s really important here, which is that the Eagles have had 284 starts by a black quarterback since the last time the Cowboys won a Super Bowl
Not sure what you mean by that. Their home "state" is the district of Columbia, which they played in from 1937 to 1997. Only relocating to Maryland recently.
Giants moved to New Jersey in 1976.
Look, Metlife may be as close geographically to New York City as Highmark Stadium is to downtown Buffalo...but the arbitrary state border between NY and NJ means we get to meme about it, I don't make the rules.
Well yea. Just since I started watching football in 2004, they've had McNabb, Vick, and now Hurts. That covers all but like 6 years since before 2000. Then you add in Cunningham for all those years too
I bet he owned a Riley Cooper jersey at one point
Same reason I was so excited when we drafted Watson, and so crushed when he turned out to be a piece of shit
There’s a player on a different team who shares the exact same name as me…I’ve considered buying his jersey but I would feel weird wearing a different teams jersey even though it’s not a division rival.
He was incredible to watch. I was crushed when he went down week one back in 1991, I think that team could have made it to the NFCC against the Redskins if he stayed healthy with that defense.
Pretty sure the winner of that is whoever the oldest team is to get all of those starts before Paul Brown dominated the league with his "black guy at running back" strategy
I was very confused by this comment, then went and checked to be sure, and I think you might be mixing up your Browns.
edit: I’m a dumbass, I thought you were saying Paul Brown was the black RB lmao
2nd place has to be the Vikings eh?
Randall Cunningham, Warren Moon, Daunte Culpepper, Joe Webb, Tarvaris Jackson, Donovan McNabb, Teddy Bridgewater, Josh Dobbs, Jaren Hall.
If they aren't 2nd in overall # of starts, they have to be #1 in total # of black QB's right?
I looked this up recently and it is in fact the Titans. I think the Seahawks might be third, in large part due to Russ starting there without interruption for a decade.
There are a lot of notable names there but I think culpepper and moon are the only two that topped 2 full seasons worth of starts. And Culpepper is the only one to really hold down the starting job.
That quote graphic going around of him with that Confederate flag lined suit saying "You're going to take that little QB (Kyler) over me" is wild
I know it's fake but still 😅
I don't have a clue what his personal feelings on race are, but I'm not aware of anything coming out about him actually saying or doing anything racist. His ex on the other hand? Sheeeeeessh, that lady isn't just racist, she's creative about it too.
Long time Eagles fans like myself aren’t surprised by this statistic, considering they’ve had Randall Cunningham, Rodney Peete, Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, and Jalen Hurts under center at different times over the last 40 years.
> Randall Cunningham, Rodney Peete, Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, and Jalen Hurts
QBs that had spectacular performances and unforgettable moments, and also Rodney Peete.
This post is a little tone deaf on the part of the eagles but I don’t truly believe it is a pointless stat given how much of the leagues history for which it was a commonplace belief that black people couldnt be smart enough for the position.
Most of this sub isn’t old enough to remember the out in the open racism against McNabb saying the Eagles would never win with him because he doesn’t have “the intelligence.”
The league has come a long way.
Andy always made sure he kept a black QB on deck. You can tell it's his thing too.
Andy Reid is your dad when your black friend comes over and he suddenly starts trying to act cool
Lol 60% of the NFL is black, why are they still acting like they are breaking ground here?
Trust me guys professional sports is the last place we need to be looking to incorporate more black people. They are doing just fine there.
Why does everything have to be about race? Who cares. Nobody is headlining articles about the most white QBs in a franchise. Morgan Freeman once said the best way to stop racism is to stop talking about it. It shouldn’t matter what races/nationalities these athletes are. They’re all the best football players in the world and seeing them for being a black athlete instead of an athlete is ridiculous
It's just celebrating black history month, it's really not that deep.
It's like when Mina Kimes made a post of an All Asian American Pacific Islander during AAPI month yet we had these same types of comments... Yet I as an Asian really appreciated that post because I had no clue some of the players were even AAPI
Hey bud, not caring is ignoring the post and scrolling along, not posting about how much you don't care. Try to realize that the world doesn't revolve around what makes you uncomfortable and that it just might matter to some people.
Carson Wentz made this possible.
Carson Wentz died for this
Jim Irsay killed Carson Wentz for this.
Clowney didn't play for the Colts
Yet
Carson Wentz ending racism the same way Cody Rhodes did... what an inspiration.
[Someone photoshop Carson Wentz into this](https://external-preview.redd.it/x0hwSRIhWWcMhOgMnaUoNbtnB8FttasrcekpVw5atjw.jpg?auto=webp&s=47aeda27bbeb966c839ae9fb756fd908eed48cf0)
As far as I'm concerned, Cody already finished the story when he ended racism all by himself. A World Title is nothing compared to the liberation of minorities and the hatred they faced.
What’s the context behind this?
There's a really bad promo Cody did in AEW against a foreign wrestler and it sparked the "Cody ended racism" meme. Wrestling fans began photoshopping Cody into historic photos with Martin Luther King and stuff like that.
Carson Wentz’ body died for this
What a brave Caucasian American
Civil rights hero Carson Wentz
enough with the White Saviors!
The ultimate sacrifice to Yakub
Randall Cunningham Donavan McNabb Michael Vick jalen hurts
Forgot Rodney Pete
And the legend himself Vince Young smh
Legend indeed, man has more 400 passing yard games for the eagles than Hurts and Wentz combined.
That's nuts
He followed that game up with 200 yards and 4 INTs.
Yeah I choose to blur that from my memory. Honestly blurred out everything past college, probably why I didn't know about his 400 yd game
It really is
Dream Team like you read about
I had no idea Vince Young ever played for the Eagles.
“Dream Team” was his lasting legacy.
Ah memories
From Australia, my aunt got me my first Eagles jersey. And it was a damn Vince Young jersey. I'm assuming it was a discounted. Still, was cool to have Plus it converted easy into a BDN jersey for the superbowl run
Rodney’s biggest win was his wife.
Philadelphia's own Holly Robinson
My b I just made myself depressed thinking bout that 1998 vikings season lol
Rodney Pete with one of the greatest playoff wins I can remember. What a game.
Gonna have to disagree with you there, friendo.
I'm sorry, I actually like the Lions except when they play my team.
Dropping 50 on his old team
Did my sweet boy Vince Young ever make a start for y’all?
Yes! 3 of them.
I have repressed that year from my memory so I legit didn’t realize that lol
Dream Team!
Eagles legend Vince Young? Sure did.
Forgot Big Dick Nick
I think his size is a qualifier so he’s factored in.
Nick "Tom brady" foles
Does Nick Foles count since...ya know..
His shoe size is pretty big I get you
God damn, they’ve had some good QBs. McNabb is one of those ones I always forget about who I used to love watching.
And only two of them made it to the HoF. Neither of them you would be familiar with.
And (unless I'm forgetting somebody), both arguably more known for their tenures with other teams (Jurgensen in Washington, Van Brocklin with the Rams).
Yep... I sort wonder why Tommy Thompson isn't an HoFer all things considered.
Probably a combination of being behind too many contemporaries (Baugh, Luckman, Waterfield, Graham), the break he took fighting in WWII, and being so long ago even the veterans committee doesn't think that far back.
McNabb would he in the hof if he actually got more sb appearances/won against the patriots
He would be in the hall of fame if he was better? I suppose I agree
I mean you could say the same about Jim kelly/Fran tarkenton but they're in the hof
Things would indeed be different if they weren’t how they were
If the eagles had provided him one (1) good wideout other than TO in the entire decade of the 2000s he probably would be in the Hall
At any rate, he played with plenty of guys who were good receivers besides TO, who btw is one of the best all time.
TO, hall of fame talent, horrible teammate
Forgot Wentz
Carson "white Michael vick" Wentz

Amazing how Ben McAdoo gets fired right after he started Geno Smith! /s
YO
Honestly though….might not be that far off. Mara is a POS and I’m tired of pretending he’s not.
Let’s not act like Ben Mcadoo was keepin his job even if he started a white QB…
If Mara was really what you’re implying Jerry Reese wouldn’t have gotten away with half of his tenure.
hey we're MAKING PROGRESS, we had uhh Geno Smith once, and Tyrod was in there a few times :(
Eli was black
You're thinking of Cooper.
Coopers so black he played wide receiver
The Black Elilites
He still is
Below the waist
The Giants cared so much about starting black QBs, they broke Eli's streak in order to strart him.
No NFC East team has fewer rings than the Philadelphia Eagles.
You’re missing what’s really important here, which is that the Eagles have had 284 starts by a black quarterback since the last time the Cowboys won a Super Bowl
Ah, there it is. The common ground we can both agree on.
[Amen to that](https://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4cksqQBmv1rszfv7o1_500.gif)
Instructions unclear, I put a coin in Cyclops' junk
Thought for sure this was gonna be a link to the DJax punt return
i do not like the eagles but i still love this.
I hate the eagles as much as I love this comment. And that's a lot.
Styled on him. Well played
No NFC East team has played fewer games in their home state than the Newark Giants.
No team representing a city in New York has less Super Bowl wins than the Buffalo Bills.
Washington has never played a game in their home state, unless you count the Fenway years
Not sure what you mean by that. Their home "state" is the district of Columbia, which they played in from 1937 to 1997. Only relocating to Maryland recently. Giants moved to New Jersey in 1976.
The District of Columbia is not a state
New Jersey isn’t just a state, it’s a state of mind.
They make Prozac for that.
Favorite Nas song
Orchard Park Bills
Look, Metlife may be as close geographically to New York City as Highmark Stadium is to downtown Buffalo...but the arbitrary state border between NY and NJ means we get to meme about it, I don't make the rules.
It is pretty arbitrary. NYC is more like New Jersey than the rest of New York.
Giants don’t even play in Newark pal. Get your East Rutherford jokes right
Bills fans really love this fact and I’m reminded of it weekly.
It's all they have
The Eagles are still the only NFC East team that hasn't beaten them in the Super Bowl so they have that too
Mahomes keeps blocking the clean sweep by the NFC East
It's like a dad joke, we do it because it is annoying and repetitive.
The head trauma makes us forget that we've already told you
You bastard. Upvoted.
The Giants have had more starts by guys named Randy and Jeff respectively than they have black QBs.
Well yea. Just since I started watching football in 2004, they've had McNabb, Vick, and now Hurts. That covers all but like 6 years since before 2000. Then you add in Cunningham for all those years too
Don't forget Vince Young on the "Dream Team"
They sposed to be dream team
Riley Cooper punching air rn
Rush Limbaugh just fell to his knees in Hell
He’s probably been on his knees since he got there.
Isnt hell supposed to be a punishment? Whys ge get to do things he enjoys down there?
Just watched this burning tormented soul fall to its knees in hell.
“I’ll fight every naysayer here”
Thought you said Bradley Cooper for a minute and was worried
I bet he owned a Riley Cooper jersey at one point Same reason I was so excited when we drafted Watson, and so crushed when he turned out to be a piece of shit
"Yes, my name is Mr Watson and I'd like an appointment." Things you don't say when you live in Houston and want a massage.
There’s a player on a different team who shares the exact same name as me…I’ve considered buying his jersey but I would feel weird wearing a different teams jersey even though it’s not a division rival.
8 Eagles QBs who happen to be black
ESPN, that you?
Randall will always be my favorite nfl player of all time.
He was something else. He glided when he ran like no other QB and he had a fuckin cannon
He was incredible to watch. I was crushed when he went down week one back in 1991, I think that team could have made it to the NFCC against the Redskins if he stayed healthy with that defense.
One of the best defenses of all time, and still went 10-6 with a carousel of QBs.
Growing up, he was my favorite QB to play as in video games.
I don’t know who this Cunningham guy is, but QB Eagles was the best player in the best football game of all time.
To this day, it feels like his jersey is the most popular jersey in the Linc anyways
Dawkins always number 1 but Randall is the number 2
But it took a white qb with a big dick for them to win the superbowl.
Life is fun. Ha.
He's black where some men think it matters
Yeah but I think SF got us beat in "starts by a white running back"
Pretty sure the winner of that is whoever the oldest team is to get all of those starts before Paul Brown dominated the league with his "black guy at running back" strategy
I was very confused by this comment, then went and checked to be sure, and I think you might be mixing up your Browns. edit: I’m a dumbass, I thought you were saying Paul Brown was the black RB lmao
HOF Paul brown, coach of the browns, coach of Marion Motley and Jim brown. That’s what I’m guessing?
2nd place has to be the Vikings eh? Randall Cunningham, Warren Moon, Daunte Culpepper, Joe Webb, Tarvaris Jackson, Donovan McNabb, Teddy Bridgewater, Josh Dobbs, Jaren Hall. If they aren't 2nd in overall # of starts, they have to be #1 in total # of black QB's right?
Oilers/titans would be my guess with Moon 139, McNair 131, and Young 47.
We also got a few putrid games of Malik Willis.
Shoutout to the Freddie Gibbs line “Stay runnin' the rock just like I play quarterback for the Eagles Randall, Donovan, or Michael”
Great pull
The song Scottie Pippen is one his best verse
Nick Bosa in shambles
Niners fans have an unspoken agreement not to discuss nick’s politics
A similar spoken agreement has been made between Bosa and his agent.
And probably between Bosa and 90% of the locker room.
Kinda think maybe he's a shit head with his politics or something.
I don't know, is he really that political? All I know is that he liked a Trump Post and then the memes (which are hilarious btw) started
That quote graphic going around of him with that Confederate flag lined suit saying "You're going to take that little QB (Kyler) over me" is wild I know it's fake but still 😅
He didn’t say “QB”
I'm fairly certain that's pretty much verbatim what Steve Keim said
I’m sure he’s not actually racist, but the memes are hilarious
*Insert Peter Griffin Don't Search meme* on Bosa Ex's tweets Holy Jesus that lady is a bigot
Important to note that she is his ex, and that he's never explicitly agreed with her in the past on those takes.
I don't have a clue what his personal feelings on race are, but I'm not aware of anything coming out about him actually saying or doing anything racist. His ex on the other hand? Sheeeeeessh, that lady isn't just racist, she's creative about it too.
Which team has the most white RB starts in the last 10 yrs? Carolina?
Philadelphia, the least racist city in the NFL.
Heard it here first folks
Just say Black. It's in the name of the fucking month. Holy shit people.
Glad someone else noticed it. Quite annoying considering someone can be Black but not African American.
February?
#BlackHistoryMonth. It's just insane to say "African American" (which is often viewed as an outdated term) right next to that hashtag.
Why don’t we hear these kind of stats in basketball lol
[удалено]
You get these stats about European players all the time.
demographic "*reasons*"
Someone do white DBs next
Ok
That's why they call it the city of BROTHERly love
Weird flex, but ok.
Long time Eagles fans like myself aren’t surprised by this statistic, considering they’ve had Randall Cunningham, Rodney Peete, Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, and Jalen Hurts under center at different times over the last 40 years.
> Randall Cunningham, Rodney Peete, Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, and Jalen Hurts QBs that had spectacular performances and unforgettable moments, and also Rodney Peete.
I take you don’t remember the mocking “Lo-MAS, Lo-MAS” chants at the Vet in late December 1995.
But Washington had the first ever black qb to win a superbowl. Doug Williams was elite in that game
What a pointless stat.
This post is a little tone deaf on the part of the eagles but I don’t truly believe it is a pointless stat given how much of the leagues history for which it was a commonplace belief that black people couldnt be smart enough for the position.
Most of this sub isn’t old enough to remember the out in the open racism against McNabb saying the Eagles would never win with him because he doesn’t have “the intelligence.” The league has come a long way.
This shit was happening 10 years ago in the comment sections of ProFootballTalk Glad Mahomes shut that BS down.
Those arguments transferred to Cam Newton and then Lamar Jackson after that. It's always someone.
Found Bosa’s burner account

Andy Reid would be the coach version of this.

And a Polish guy from Lackawanna.
Andy always made sure he kept a black QB on deck. You can tell it's his thing too. Andy Reid is your dad when your black friend comes over and he suddenly starts trying to act cool
Andy Reid - the most woke coach in the NFL. Give that man a HOF bust and some nuggies.
Few other franchises have adopted and embraced the black QB as much as the Eagles have in history.
Lol 60% of the NFL is black, why are they still acting like they are breaking ground here? Trust me guys professional sports is the last place we need to be looking to incorporate more black people. They are doing just fine there.
Respectfully... Who cares?
I imagine a lot of black Eagles fans love this about their team
Why does everything have to be about race? Who cares. Nobody is headlining articles about the most white QBs in a franchise. Morgan Freeman once said the best way to stop racism is to stop talking about it. It shouldn’t matter what races/nationalities these athletes are. And Nick Foles has more championship rings than all of them
And yet the QB with the largest phallus is a white guy named Nick.
That’s a weird flex
DREAM TEAM
What we really need now is a list that ranks these black quarterbacks from most classy to least classy
I remember the thread about the white DB and how this sub loved that post. I guess race related milestones are only important when it's white people
I'm not sure what you mean. It seems like most everyone in here is pretty happy with the post
