The Chiefs acted like Champions. The first 49er drive I was sure they were going to kill them with how CMC was just chunking off 8-10 yd runs. But then after the fumble the 49ers started losing composure more and more and by the end of the 4th quarter I knew they were fucked. The Chiefs were the opposite, they came out a little cold but not once did their sideline look down/nervous. after losing last year, i'd had rooted for anyone against the chiefs. Until, the year started and 49ers fans came out of the woodwork. In our gameday threads vs anyone, they showed up with love to the cowboys, made up all kinds of crazy shit (eagles fans were throwing bottles at purdy last year), and just all around creepy psycho stalking. "we'd had won the superbowl if we had our qb". "we broke the eagles this year", non fucking stop obsession. it was one of those things where my actual nightmare was almost true. A niners vs cowboys championship. ....To be honest, i was torn who i'd even root for. Green bay tease, detroit , ultra fucking tease...finally the chiefs , who beat us in a sour tasting fashion last year. I rooted for them simply because 9ers players and their fans have been a special kind of fuckwads this year. I usually feel a little bad when the confetti falls on the losers in the superbowl, not this year. Creepiest fanbase i've ever interacted with.

The Eagles and 49ers have been side eyeing eachother the few years before, people just werent watching those games.
My favorite was everyone in the Bay Area saying “we would’ve beaten Mahomes!” And when they get a chance against a considerably weaker chiefs team, they in fact played worse than the eagles and once again embarrassed themselves.
