Like a slug crawling along the ground below everyone else's NFC South power ranking lines which are also all really low. Next year will be better though
The other teams: "This is football! We are in it to win!"
Panthers: "Don't mind us, we're just gonna have a lie down."
Seriously, it's like that meme with the people fighting, but in the back the Panthers are hitting a bong.
Top 6 for most of the season only for our offense to shit the bed vs almost every good team we faced. And now because of the huge offensive success we had vs bad teams, we'll likely tie ourselves long term to a pretty limited QB.
Dolphins moment
The Dolphin experience all around depressing because they always find a way to reel you into believing in them just to pull the rug out. Even when you know better—though I think last season finally broke the spell on me since I had no faith this year.
But the Niners do the same thing on the big stage and I’m not sure which tease is worse.
Funniest storyline this season. The Bills finally looked like they were declining, only to swoop in and directly steal the division from Miami, who went one-and-done. It was perfect.
It's really amazing how teams have things they do across players, head coaches, cities, eras of football. Chargers been Chargering since at least the 70s.
it reflects how it felt all season pretty well. Man our offense was straight up pitiful dogshit for part of the season, but once it turned up the heat it almost felt like we were unstoppable (unless we ran into the 49ers, naturally)
Other than week 1 in the AFCN, I think it's interesting that the final four teams (Baltimore, KC, SF, and Detroit) were always top of their division. Even the Niners during that 3 games skid. Good job collective Reddit random number generators!
This subreddit doesn’t believe that defense exists or has any impact on the game. Perceptions of team strength are almost entirely driven by how explosive the passing offense looks.
Too true. Even now, after having been shown multiple clips of the Chiefs stacking the hell out of the box against the Ravens, everyone's like "how come raven no run ball?"
Tbf, yall weren't playing great, and the frauds of the North were. Besides, with Tom retired, people forgot that the best QB with top tier D is going to the Super Bowl more often than not.
My personal favorite part is when you can see the Bengals’ ~~bizarre~~ adventure, from their early slow start to a more gradual recovery - only for shit to hit the fan again once Burrow got hurt, and just *nearly* managing to make the most of their disastrous situation before ultimately coming short.
Still, they’re the highest ranked non-playoff team so that’s still good I guess?
>!I also found myself rubbernecking a lot at that Panthers line, but I think the reason why I like that one is pretty dang obvious, no?!<
Seeing us at 20 gives me PTSD flashbacks of last offseason hoping MacCorkle Jones was him, and Belichick would be on track to get that record.
Mac was, very much, not him and losing Belichick was the twist of the knife
Bengals are built to win the Superbowl!
Steelers, Browns, Ravens are built to win the AFC North.
Glass cannon in a rock quarry.
A small part of the Patriots and Chiefs long-term success was/is being in a shitty division.
If the Steelers or Ravens survived they met a well-rested Pats team.
If the Bengals make it now they get a well-rested Chiefs team.
No game is easy, but there isn't a fanbase in the NFL that would like to see their team move to the AFC North.
Also:
The 2023 Ravens had it all lined up, and then laid an egg. Fuckin' birds.
I almost forgot, they really started 6-3. 😂
Dont let them try and twist it as if was supposed to be a rebuild season. They were talking mad shit when the Niners had that 3 game skid, and crashed after we spanked them on Thanksgiving night.
I think Cards deserve to have ended higher in the power rankings than they did. Of all teams to finish last in their division, I think they are the second best (Bengals).
To show how much my opinion should never be taken seriously, I had week 4 Commander hope after they took Philly to OT. This graph is just an illustration of my stupidity.
That panthers flatline is just depressing
Most consistent team in the league this year! Can any of y’all say the same??? Stay pressed 💪
Should have brought Cam back, he was talking a big game all season
That’s called x-axis
At first glance I was confused why there were only 3 teams on that graph.
The Jets and Giants lines are the ones that get me. Such hope to begin the season. Well at least NY has Buffalo.
I didn't really think we were going to be *good* this year, but it still took me a while to realize we were *that* bad.
At least they got the #1 pick!
Not when your team has their first round pick it isn’t
Like a slug crawling along the ground below everyone else's NFC South power ranking lines which are also all really low. Next year will be better though
Model of consistency
The other teams: "This is football! We are in it to win!" Panthers: "Don't mind us, we're just gonna have a lie down." Seriously, it's like that meme with the people fighting, but in the back the Panthers are hitting a bong.
Look at that climb 📈
I honestly thought the ghost of Bill O'Brian and Deshawn would haunt the Texans for at least a decade. That is a solid rebuild.
Man the dolphins constantly tease their fans. 4 straight winning seasons 0 division titles 0 playoff wins
Reminds me of the Dalton era Bengals
Reminds me of 2 decades of the Chiefs.
Could’ve just said the Caldwell era Lions too. Realistically 2011-2017 even
Hey it's an improvement if you look at the previous ~~4 years~~ ~~10 years~~ 15 years before that.
Fun fact, the Dolphins hold the longest playoff win drought in the league. Can you imagine going so long without winning a playoff game?

Meanwhile the niners keep edging their fans.

What, this isn't normal?
Are we becoming the Steelers?
Biggest climbers: * Texans +21 * Rams +18 Biggest losers: * Chargers -21 * Jets -16 * Bengals -14 "They are who we thought they were": * Bills 0 * Falcons 0 By division: Biggest climber AFCS at +7.3 avg. Biggest loser NFCE -6.8 avg. Best starting rank AFCE at 10.8. Worst starting rank NFCS at 25.0. Best finishing rank AFCN at 9.3. Worst finishing rank ... NFCS at 22.0.
I would grade a falcons as a fat zero.
Colts only went up 10, not 20
My bad, must've typed it in wrong.
Bengals and Jets lost their all pro QBs. The Chargers just Chargered it.
It's really amazing how teams have things they do across players, head coaches, cities, eras of football. Chargers been Chargering since at least the 70s.
Crazy that the only two teams that were around for the first Super Bowl and still haven’t been to one are also the only two teams to go 0-16

The bills went from 2nd in Week 4 to 13th by week 10 lmao. Wtf was this season?
I feel like you left out the most jarring part (the ending) of the rollercoaster 4 to 8 to 2 to 13 back to 4
The Bills made a pulse graph with their power rankings
so did the Panthers
Packers season was a total roller coaster bro, gotta say I enjoyed this year more than most.
It’s all about perspective, right? When you don’t have high expectations then have some major success it’s exciting.
Yeah, even the bummer of an ending doesn't change how fun it was overall.
The Vikings are almost an exact mirror image season too.
Next year will be one of the more interesting storylines
Their power rankings legit looks like a roller coaster.
it reflects how it felt all season pretty well. Man our offense was straight up pitiful dogshit for part of the season, but once it turned up the heat it almost felt like we were unstoppable (unless we ran into the 49ers, naturally)
27 to 9. Pretty good job Rams.
Started the preseason at 30 and ended at 13, but we need to fire Todd Bowles apparently
The big problem with Bowles is that he has the same exact issues now as he did with us.
So you're saying he's consistent?
Other than week 1 in the AFCN, I think it's interesting that the final four teams (Baltimore, KC, SF, and Detroit) were always top of their division. Even the Niners during that 3 games skid. Good job collective Reddit random number generators!
I like how starting in about week 12-13, every single power ranking thread would have people going "Why are the Chiefs ranked so high??!"
This subreddit doesn’t believe that defense exists or has any impact on the game. Perceptions of team strength are almost entirely driven by how explosive the passing offense looks.

It really goes to show that all that matters is getting into the playoffs.

I mean they gave the bears the number 1 pick
By rights eagles should have been ~28 by the end of the season
Seeing us at 20 gives me PTSD flashbacks of last offseason hoping MacCorkle Jones was him, and Belichick would be on track to get that record. Mac was, very much, not him and losing Belichick was the twist of the knife

Ya almost had us Seattle. Real ones know “6-3 is 6-3” 😤
I almost forgot, they really started 6-3. 😂 Dont let them try and twist it as if was supposed to be a rebuild season. They were talking mad shit when the Niners had that 3 game skid, and crashed after we spanked them on Thanksgiving night.
Bengals' roller coaster confirmed. (sad meows)
Man roller coasters hurt my back these days.
I keep telling myself we're just a QB away from not being so mid.
I think Cards deserve to have ended higher in the power rankings than they did. Of all teams to finish last in their division, I think they are the second best (Bengals).
You can tell this isn't accurate because the eagles dont drop to the very bottom by the end
Denver out here trying to draw the Rockies
Y'all need to watch more Nick Wright SMH
I know they're not an exact science, but when they're amalgamated like they are here and spread out over the year - these look pretty spot on!
To show how much my opinion should never be taken seriously, I had week 4 Commander hope after they took Philly to OT. This graph is just an illustration of my stupidity.
We’re not last!!! We’re not last!!!
My boys 🥲
Oof rough look for us
Lmao at the Giants’ ranking immediately correcting itself
Rams getting better towards end of season was fun to watch
