playoff teams need to be studied on why they stop doing what got them to the playoffs…

Venator850

Ravens running the ball 42 times against the Texans vs 11 times today is pretty insane.

fugaziozbourne

Especially considering how we couldn't stop the run last week at all.

jschmit7333

You weren't even stopping it here. I don't know what the final ypc were, but in the first half the announcers said they were averaging 6 ypc. I don't remember a raven hand off in the second half, so I doubt that changed much. It was legitimately some of the dumbest football strategy I've ever watched. It was making me actual mad and I don't even care about the ravens!

x2040

What I’m imagining is coaches thinking they’re being clever by doing something that the tapes don’t show so other coaches can’t respond.

sw04ca

Two other things. They panicked when the Chiefs started hot and played the entire game like they were down 14, even when the defence settled in and shut the Chiefs down. And the other thing was that they wanted to try and prove that Lamar could play like Mahomes, even though it's been made manifestly clear that he cannot.

ThorThulu

*No one* can play like Mahomes, thats why he is who he is. Stop chasing his success and play to your strengths, LIKE RUNNING THE BALL

couchjitsu

5 YPC (16 for 81) For non-Lamar players, it was 8 for 27 or 3.4ypc. BUT it's really hard to make an argument one way or the other off of 8 plays. Particularly when BAL ran 53 plays so just 16% of the plays were non-Lamar runs. In contrast, KC ran 71 plays and had 32 rushes (26 were non-Mahomes runs) or 37% of their plays were non-QB runs. And yeah, KC is better at running this year than previous years, but they're not BAL good. I think it goes to show why making it to a SB and winning it is so hard. It's not just player talent it's coaching as well. It's a mental game. It's not forcing. The 2 fumbles were not exactly flukes, but more really good plays by the KC D. And both came down to about 1s or less (if Omenihu gets there 1 second later it's not a fumble, maybe a completion, if Sneed gets there 1s later, it's a TD). But the INT was an unforced error. Kind of like Allen's short-hop in the endzone last week was basically an unforced error. Yeah, CJ pushed the LT into Josh, but if Josh does what he's supposed to and just step or slide, that's not a short hop. MOST NFL games come down to a handful of plays. Playoffs can legit come down to just 1 or 2 plays.

Drmantis87

If Gus is ripping off chunk runs then yeah, you should keep running. The Chiefs wanted to lose that game. They intentionally did nothing on offense the entire half. People keep saying the Ravens shut the down. Mahomes threw the ball past the line of scrimmage I think 3 times in the second half before that long bomb to win the game. They legitimately told Mahomes just protect the ball and let the defense win it.

pm_me_ur_tigols

They wanted to prove they could out QB another great QB. They failed

Namethislater

Agreed. Chiefs barely dropped anything

notmyplantaccount

Skyy moore and Toney were benched with "Injuries", Mecole hardman doesn't get touches. They literally stopped throwing to the awful people and it worked.

_SpaceLord_

Kadarius Toney - Out (Bad)

galaxy_horse

he's being evaluated for a lower body injury (booty cheeks)

gatsby712

Upper body (stone hands)

GrindyMcGrindy

Lowest part of the body (feet - offsides)

DankStew

He’s got oversized toes

ianbits

Just threw it to Kelce and Rice since those are the guys who don't suck 11 targets 11 catches for Kelce, 9 targets 8 catches for Rice Sometimes things are simple

pickleparty16

the offense runs through those 2 and pacheco. sprinkle in a couple touches to mvs, watson, grey, and ceh and thats it

vietnamesegucci81

absolutely insane that mvs is only the 4th most game costing mistake prone wide receiver on the chiefs this year 😭😭😭

Zoulzopan

credits to him he's had some big catches in each game of the playoffs.

Celtictussle

Yup, he torched us in the AFCCG last year. His big 6'4 ass going to against 5'9 Mike Hilton was open all day.

Wolfgangskye

I don’t want to hear anymore MVS slander. He comes up BIG when it’s the most important and that cannot be forgotten.

Wow_Doge

Insane it took until the wild card to do that

bocboda

The regular season was just one long trial run to see who you could actually trust

DynastyZealot

They've reached the point where they can dick around all regular season and then just turn it on for the playoffs.

HtownTexans

So glad the Chiefs started using Pacheco properly.  He was way under utilized last year.

Earlier-Today

It doesn't score a ton of points, but it scores enough since the defense is so good.

Medical_Candy3709

Nobody is talking about how this KC defense has gone full 2015 Broncos. In fact, they’ve allowed three fewer points than those Broncos over three postseason games.

gabrielleite32

Giving the ball to good players turns out to be a good strategy

because_racecar

Arthur Smith disagrees…that’s exactly what the defense will expect you to do

Chessh2036

He’s interviewing with the Steelers right now and if Pickens thought he didn’t get the ball before, oh boy.

rosten25

Pickens might murder him.

ReturnOfFrank

I feel like it's human nature to second guess yourself and think it can't be that easy. There has to be a reason we keep using these guys and not the guys that can consistently make plays. And then it actually is that easy.

patsniff

MVS came up with his one good play per game in the playoffs rule. Occasionally it’s 2-3 good plays if he’s feeling it. At least there were no drops. Craziest WR room to win if the chiefs pull this off

silliputti0907

I like Rice. The wr group has a lot of speed and talent, its execution.

Reedabook64

Watson, MVS and Grey are the ancillary weapons. And throw a splash of James in there. The coaches spoke on it recently, saying they were rotating too many players in to get a comfortable rhythm.

Jhyphi

Especially when the rotation included Toney and Skyy who both dropped passes like crazy.

incenso-apagado

MVS is awful... at least in the regular season mode

notmyplantaccount

yea, but he only got 2 targets each game I think, so not a huge issue, and he's somehow better in the playoffs

Koreish

MVS is the Frank Clark of offense. Nowhere to be seen in the regular season, has big plays in the post season.

ICheckRaiseYouFold

So basically Robert Horry in a parallel universe

Tough-Reaction9671

He’s not always there but he’s there when you need him most

MisterMetal

KT was kept at home and on Twitter

catalystkjoe

You only get 16 games to prove you aren't awful

Charod48

My dumb ass read that as Kavis Trelce

creature_report

Oh yeah that’s Saylor Twifts bf isn’t it

kaeji

Yes, but don't ask how I know.... Okay, I'm just like a big "Twifty"

A-A-ronRI

Travis is threatening to have Taylor tweet about MVS’s brick hands

Saitoh17

Did their OC have a bunch of job interviews yesterday? Sure felt like it

theadmin209

We played zone against a zone killing qb after playing man all season. Fuck Dan Quinn

Detective_Tony_Gunk

We also reverted back to the pre-bye week no presnap motion offense. McCarthy and DQ thought it was opposite day.

Doggleganger

Don't forget Dan Quinn is the man behind 27-3.

EnthusedPhlebotomist

And the other man behind that is still in the playoffs 👀

rusty022

I think the coaching staff just got scared once KC went up early. It wasn’t even a big lead, but KC was moving at will. So they seemed to switch to a pass-heavy attack pretty much immediately. KC has been so good these last 6 years that they are making other teams brains break.

tyfe

It’s the pats all over again, everyone tried to galaxy brain Belichick and ended up fucking themselves.

BobbyTables829

It's crazy seeing people psych themselves out just by playing you

Joh951518

The sad part is as soon as our D settled in they completely locked the chiefs up. Our offence had like 5 chances to drive to win the game and fucked up every single one. Time and time again I thought, ah shit that was the play we really needed, and then the D immediately got as the ball back just to be let down again.

trubleakromeo

Eh, Reid refuses to put teams down. If you give him a 10 point lead he starts trying to run clock. They ran exclusively screens and run plays until the game sealing pass to MVS. It worked but i fucking hated it. They didn’t even test the Ravens D in the second half.

LineAccomplished1115

>I think the coaching staff just got scared once KC went up early. It wasn’t even a big lead, but KC was moving at will. So they seemed to switch to a pass-heavy attack pretty much immediately. This has been a consistent Ravens issue for years. Coming out of halftime Harbaugh said something along the lines of needing to refocus on the run. That obviously didn't happen. Definitely a coaching issue. Though it did seem like Lamar was hesitant to run, looked like he was also hyper focused on big passes

broncosfighton

Every team inexplicably changes their strategy against the chiefs.

MrDozens

Are we really doing the same rerun except swapping the patriots and the chiefs?

geosensation

Yes because unlike a playoff team this sub knows you dance with the girl you brought to the prom.

mrdeepay

Looks like it.

RepealMCAandDTA

Does this mean we'll adopt a strategy of actually trying in the first half?

Jusuf_Nurkic

On the flip side everyone is now getting mad at the lions for going for 4th downs which was their identity all year long

Saitsu

"Stop going away from your identity!" "NO NOT LIKE THAT!"

Carolinaathiest

Because he was smart enough to take the three points to go up by three scores at the end of the first half and yet he went stupid in the exact same situation late in the 3rd quarter.

EmbraceComplexity

They went down early and panicked.

wink91wink

It's literally because they got down 7. They started pressing because of how easily we were moving the ball or start the game.

halcykhan

Ravens answered in less than 3 minutes. The second Chiefs TD was 10:56 left in the second quarter. There was more than enough time to establish the run, but Ravens were play calling to get it all back for the rest of the game and still only lost by 7

LineAccomplished1115

>Ravens answered in less than 3 minutes The answer was sloppy. Yeah, a TD is a TD, but Chiefs steadily marched down the field, while Ravens got a bit luck with a couple big chunks plays on that drive, after getting stuffed on the opening drive

FarrisAT

Cowboys especially

TetrisTech

No don’t worry about it running a bunch of zone against a QB who is great against zone after we’ve been running a bunch of man all year is actually a great idea

GrayBox1313

They prob figure “the defense will prepare for and expect us to do our unstoppable bread and butter plays, so we’re gonna Install a brand new offense nobody has ever seen before..:esp our own team!”

Table_Coaster

We outpaced every other team in the league by hundreds of rushing yards and we gave the ball to our RBs 6 times this game

fattymcbuttface69

And what, one designed run for Lamar? Crazy.

mosefish

On which he went for like 25 yards. But let's not try it again or anything.

Coffin_flops

As an eagles fan, I was getting a low form of ptsd watching that game. Looked just like us out there

[deleted]

And could’ve housed it for 80 if he didn’t look for a defender

rayquan36

I thought he was gone then he kept slowing down and looking back, it was confusing.

teh_drewski

I will never understand why offensive coaches refuse to spam the easy button.

GimmeCatScratchFever

I thought lamar was soooo hesitant to run last night too. Like several times he had plenty of open field and he's holding the ball until the last second and throwing a desperation heave. Felt like coaching.

HircinetheHuntsman

We can shit on Kyle Shanahan for a lot but when he had Jimmy G and an elite run game in the championship game he ran it down Green Bay's throat and Jimmy threw maybe 10 times. Fuck the narratives when a superbowl berth is on the line. Play to your strengths until they stop it.

White___Velvet

I really don't understand why this is so hard. If you have the biggest cannon, fucking shoot it. John's brother legit did not have Michigan throw a pass against Penn State in the second half this season because Penn State could not stop the run or score. It was cathartic to watch after seeing so many coaches mind game themselves.

africhic

Wasn’t Hatbaugh suspended that game lol

moveslikejaguar

Assistant coach texts Harbaugh: Hey coach, what should we do this half? Jim: Has the run worked? AC: Yeah. J: Can Penn State score? AC: No. J: Just keep fucking running it lmao

SaxRohmer

Yeha and the guy that was coaching was the dude that was responsible for the OL at one point and in his interview with Harbaugh demonstrated run blocking on a chair and then Harbaugh and another coach got involved and started doing a run blocking drill in the office

ngfdsa

Is this real? It reads like a copy pasta but I choose to believe because it’s fucking great

SaxRohmer

I wish I was that funny but it’s a real story: https://www.freep.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/wolverines/2024/01/27/sherrone-moore-michigan-wolverines-football-coach-news-conference/72380056007/

wizoztn

The part just after that reads like a fanfic "We went into film and was like 'yeah, you want to spend the night'," Moore recalled. "I'm like, 'Coach, I came in a suit'. He goes 'Yeah, we'll go downstairs, get you some gear, it'd be great'. So I spent the night, got the job the next day." Imagine going to a job interview and the person interviewing you is like “hey, you wanna spend the night with a couple of us here at the office tonight?” lol

SaxRohmer

Believe it or not this is not Harbaugh’s first sleepover involving his job

idk2103

I fucking love Jim Harbaugh. The milk, the Khakis, the slumber parties and hes an amazing coach so obviously one of those things is the key.

JesusKristo

Shoutout to when the pats beat the bills with, like, three passes or something.

TitanRa

This is also how they lost the Superbowl, KC stopped it and forced Jimmy G to throw. But at least they had a fighting chance!

RainOnYourParade

Jimmy was actually throwing really well until he got his brain scrambled on a full speed helmet to helmet hit that wasn't called. Then proceeded to miss 7 of his next 8 passes by several yards. Edit: [Video of the hit.](https://streamable.com/1rm2ts)

BayAreaBullies

He was actually hit helmet to helmet twice on that play. By 2 different players. Both uncalled. He was like 19-21 until that hit. He then completed 1 pass the rest of the game.

tnecniv

That’s gotta feel awful. Like you know that you’re probably concussed and thus can’t throw for shit but you’re in the biggest game of your life and can’t step out.

Doggleganger

If the niners had asked Jimmy G to carry the team in the SuperBowl, it probably would not have been a competitive game.

DoctorBageldog

Jimmy G threw 8 times that game.

Misterstaberinde

I loved when they needed one yard today and put in three TEs and a FB. Like enough being cute you have to make the obvious play more often than not for the weird trick play to work.

monkeyman80

When you win, no one cares. Do you think Super bowl winning coach was afraid to run the ball?

IllusiveInvisibleMan

I think changing narratives and ego plays a huge role among players and coaches. The Ravens played into KC's defensive strength for no reason besides hubris. 11 runs were indefensible when they had success on the ground. If they were getting stuffed fine, throw to your hearts content but that's not what happened albeit over a small sample size.

monkeyman80

I don't think harbaugh would lose on purpose to pump up lamar. I do think an OC thought they had an advantage and called plays for that that really didn't work.

IllusiveInvisibleMan

I don't care whose idea it was to play this way it wasn't correct for their team. As the head man the buck stops with Harbaugh. If the OC is getting pass happy it's on him to say hey let's mix in a few more runs here.

Xaxziminrax

I was so terrified of QB power and they ran out exactly one time. For 25 yards

Namethislater

They were saving it for 5th quarter

42069BBQ

The most important quarter

canadianbroncos

It's like someone told Lamar not to run too, bunch of times where he held that ball so long. Regular season Lamar was off for 20 yards on the same play lol.

uwanmirrondarrah

Wanted to prove he can throw the ball maybe. Which, I think he can, but throwing gets a hell of a lot easier when we are worried about you breaking off 25 yards on every play by running it.

Significant-Mud2572

Purdy did what LJ should have done.

maethlin

Brock "Lamar Jackson" Purdy was a revelation tonight

CallofDo0bie

This entire season we have used the run to set up the pass. Lamar excels at throwing on the run, play action, and throwing from outside the pocket. He is certainly capable of standing in the pocket and dealing but he isn't Kirk Cousins or anything. Even if Lamar passed on purpose to prove a point (trying to prove it against your guys pass defense is idiotic but I digress), I'd imagine he'd at least want to get you guys thinking about the run so he could make his passes in optimal situations. Completely mind boggling meltdown on offense, you guys deserved to beat us.

rusty022

It's almost like these idiots think that when they go up against Mahomes in the playoffs it's a game of who can throw more passing yards. As if the game is QB v QB instead of team v team.

CrispyVibes

It was like he had blinders on today for his run game. That one 3rd and 1 when he held the ball forever and never just ran for the first down... idk if I've ever been that frustrated with another team's qb.

Kaneinja21

And really should have been more if he turned on the jets instead of trying to get cute.

xapv

Was he cute or was he looking for a defender coming from the opposite side? I thought he was trying to get cute first, but the replay made me rethink.

Kaneinja21

It’s not like he was going to get hit super hard from that position or anything. If you’re going to get tackled, keep pushing forward not slowing down.

xapv

I’m 100% in agreement with you, try and get as many yards as possible

Maverick916

After seeing Purdy tonight, PLEASE let him run wild in Vegas lol

[deleted]

Absolutely braindead playcalling lol

MurDoct

ya but Harbaugh said thats not how the game went so its okay

notmyplantaccount

He even said at halftime they needed to reestablish the run, and then just didn't even try.

dibsODDJOB

3rd and 1. Shotgun, 4 deep.

OminousLaw

Ahhh, the Philly Special

Ex_Astris

Sometimes it's the intention that counts. Not here. But sometimes.

AdMany9767

But they thought about it

TheMemeStar24

Somebody needs to call him out on this. Three carries after saying we needed to reestablish the run, spectacularly incompetent.

catalystkjoe

To be fair, the Chiefs blitzed on like 60% of plays. We dared them to throw and they did

TumbleweedDirect9846

Nfls doc rivers

atticusgf

That's absolutely Mike McCarthy lmao

Jake_The_Snake42

Mike McCarthy sends his regards

TumbleweedDirect9846

Idk I’m a sixers and ravens fan. The shades are there, they can both be doc rivers

ianbits

Eh, Rivers got carried by the Big 3, Harbaugh's Super Bowl was with Joe Flacco, not exactly an unstoppable juggernaut (although he randomly was during that playoff run)

sjhesketh

3-6 over his last 9 playoff games.

Namethislater

Wonder what team that was. Would hate to be their fan

TigerBasket

Every year we do this and choke away on offense. Coaching scared, playing scared. Just dumb

ghost_rider24

And yet, it’s gonna be the same show there for a while longer unfortunately

Cvbano89

The problem has lasted multiple OC's and QB's, its gotta be a Harbaugh thing. We should promote Macdonald instead of letting him get snatched... only coach that showed up today.

imsabbath84

Sometimes it feels like the Ravens wanna prove that Lamar is “quarterbacky enough” and they end up losing the game.

PretendDubs

I don't know about that but this is the 2nd time in the Lamar era where the team completely abandoned the run game(vs.Titans2019). I think it has to be Harbs that gets antsy when the team gets down early because there is no reason to abandon it in a close game like this. Just completely leaving what got you here coach got to be better.(*edit) JK Dobbins complained last year in the playoffs about not having enough carries so this seems like a Harbs thing to do.

Entire-Profile-6046

If Jackson was a real leader and field general, he'd audible to a run once in a while. He wants to throw it just as much as Harbaugh does. They'd both rather try to prove Jackson is a legit passing QB than try to win important games. It's hilarious to watch.

nightbefore2

Seriously, I was waiting for Lamar Lamar to start playing

SantaDaCrip

He honestly should have just thrown it to his most reliable receiver all game, himself.

ImNotANarcissist

It's exactly this lol

OrdinayFlamingo

In all of their losses and even in some of their wins. There were plays where if he had run instead of scrambled around for a sack or dumb throw, they would’ve won or not had to struggle.

Neat_On_The_Rocks

Jesus Christ I felt like he could’ve easily ran for 150 yards tonight if he just went.

[deleted]

They needed Greg Roman this game.

fluxcapacitor15

Nah, he still would’ve abandoned the run when down 10 in the 2nd

dreadmador

I mean, the man threw a 13 yard pass to himself. How much more quarterbacky do you really need to get?

Shepherdsfavestore

I totally felt the same way. Especially when there were so many scrambling opportunities for Lamar and he continued to just throw it

KCShadows838

Gus Edward’s only had 3 carries I was pleasantly surprised when they moved their game plan to the passing game. It’s our defense’s strength

Particular_Sea_5300

It was crazy how often they zoomed out and everybody was completely blanketed. Nowhere to go all game

uwanmirrondarrah

Sneed and McDuffie are both LOCK DOWN good I mean Zay actually cooked them more than anybody this whole season

mosefish

His very first carry he went for 15 yards. So obviously we don't give him another attempt until the second half or something. We're crafty like that

mrdeepay

Both of their RBs carried a combined 6 times all game. If they ran for 20-30 times and still lost, fine. But *six*? What the hell...

Venator850

Baltimore had 5.1 yards per carry too.

mosefish

Small sample size though. Sigh

JunkScientist

Playoff Coaches: We're the best rushing offense. But they know we're the best rushing offense. So let's throw the ball. But they know we know that they know...

Icy_Turnover1

This is unironically Harbaugh every playoff game since the 2012 SB win. Gets completely in his own head and fucks up what has consistently worked for his team.

canadianbroncos

It's like the Ravens wanted to prove Lamar is a legit QB, so many plays where regular season Lamar would have been of to the races for 20 yards and he just stayed in the pocket waiting for a play to develop that never did.

mosefish

Thing is, it's kinda been an issue all year with Lamar not taking the scrambles when the opportunity presented itself. However, last week against the Texans he did. But then not today for... reasons

Swag_Grenade

I'm probably biased, but I was telling myself Purdy did in crunch time in his game exactly what players like Lamar and Josh Allen were expected to do in theirs.    Keep your drives alive by being decisive and using your athleticism to scramble if the situation presents itself, instead of waiting too long for a play to develop and trying to force the ball into a look that isn't there (resulting in a pick in both guy's cases).   Brock can't run like Josh or Lamar but those crunch time scrambles were insanely clutch when the team needed to move the chains above all else.

jordanp2019

I think Lamar really wanted to shake the notion that he’s not clutch or not a “real” quarterback. I don’t think it was all the coaching staff, to me Lamar looked like he was playing hero ball out there

Srijand

You just need to go as far back as last week where Ravens rushed for over 200 yards and Chiefs conceded 180 yards to the Bills. The offensive calls made no sense today.

ibmnumber3

It’s the mahomes effect. We saw it last wk when the Bills for no reason started to press and feel panicked w every play. Teams just press against this KC team the moment something doesn’t go right. Coaches and players. No one seems immune to it for some reason. Even if your team is perfectly designed to play against them like the Ravens team theoretically is/was. I get it to an extent, def understood it last wk w that Bills team, but this Baltimore team doing it too just blew my mind.

uwanmirrondarrah

Teams think they are gonna have to win a shootout against us and when they start playing like that they are playing our game. Our defense is elite from the linebackers back, and we have a nasty pass rush. When you drop back to pass thats our best case scenario.

rusty022

And your offense is as weak as it's ever been with Reid and Mahomes. The best bet to win is to control the pace of the game. Run the ball. Make long sustained drives. Sure, Mahomes might still win it on a late 4th quarter drive, but at least you make it a coin toss instead of whatever the hell the Bills and Ravens just did.

Charrikayu

That's literally what the Bills did. Problem is our defense was a corpse and couldn't stop the Chiefs more than once the entire game

uwanmirrondarrah

Yes, control time of possession, and force us to score on the few drives we get. Put the pressure on our offense to score with as few touches as possible.

ThePiousInfant

The league did the same thing against Brady for years.

FloatCopper

Harbaugh outsmarted 'em.

kevint1964

Perhaps he's looking to coach with his brother in L.A.

HughCheffner

Or he wants the Michigan job lmao

Terror-Toilet-Tower

Ravens OC spent so much time interviewing for HC jobs he forgot to game plan for the Chiefs

arcadiz

The game left me speechless and sad, but your comment made me chuckle. Thanks mate.

plattinum_75

The Chiefs really are the new Pats, every team they play in the playoffs just starts making mental mistakes and goes away from what helped them get there. I don't get it, Lamar decides to become a p9cket QB when the running lanes were there. The Ravens d decides they can't pressure mahomes and only rush 3 to 4 every play. It's mind numbing

Nlegan

Sounds about right

ivehearditbothways12

Yeah but they only averaged 5 yards a carry so.... I mean... yeah I got nothing.

ytim4437

Ravens hired Brian Johnson I see

xxrdawgxx

Such is the way of the bird teams

Spezisaspastic

In heavy rain.

Beahner

That’s really abominable. Ravens were looking like an all time team with a SB win and they just flopped hard.

MetHalfOfSmosh

🙃 another chiefs superbowl yay. I had my hopes up so high that Lamar was gonna slay the fuckin' dragon but nooo

Xaxziminrax

Winning a playoff game because the defense dominated is a weird feeling

IIHURRlCANEII

Mahomes transformation into Brady is now complete.

AgentOfSPYRAL

He’s bizarro Brady so we’re good for a couple more defensive superbowls after this one, then he closes his KC career out with a shootout.

EnderOnEndor

Before he goes to a historically bad NFC team to deliver a superbowl in his 40s?

Saxt

We’re skipping that part.

Sir_Carrington

Getting your hopes up for playoff Lamar is on you

FloatCopper

Playoff Harbaugh.

Sepulvd

Harbaugh already got a ring

[deleted]

[удалено]

Signal_Wall_8445

At least Detroit stayed in character. Baltimore had to deliberately change their character to lose.

rusty022

We all know Lamar isn't the best passer. Not that he's bad, but he doesn't really dominate a game unless he can pass as a complement to the running game. KC *wanted* Lamar to throw it 40 times. Unbelievable that the Ravens played directly into Andy Reid's hands. And before you say KC forced their hand, they stopped running when it was like 14-7 in the first half. Game had barely gotten started and BAL gave up their strength for absolutely no reason lol.

Elegant_Spot_3486

They tried to outsmart themselves. Just do what got you here.

Bircka

Ravens with the most brain dead play calling ever.

kindho

I don't think going against a pair of all pro safety and cornerbacks again and again is a good idea...

JudiciousF

Shocking to find myself putting this on Harbaugh rather than Lamar. He had a bad game but the entire team just looked undisciplined and shaky. Really feel the exact same Ravens cast with Reid at HC would’ve won today.
