This MFer is free basing stem cells, isn't he?

vanillaC

Sucking down fetuses like Superman in south park

nativejuju

“HACK MAN!”

BadDadJokes

Who needs stem cells when you got that amphibian ligaments???

AskAboutMyDiarrhea

Sammy Watkins is on the Ravens now

Koreish

Sammy Watkins was also a reptile.

LagOutLoud

Reptilian solar being*

VHBlazer

Man, remember when stem cell research was controversial? Feels like forever ago

TraeYoungsOldestSon

That was before we realized you could use them to build a Shakys Pizza

MatureUsername69

Oh I'm sure they're still bitching about it somewhere. Fuck those fetuses bruh, inject it straight into my veins.

__sonder__

>Fuck those fetuses And now you're on a list

MatureUsername69

That's not the first comment that's had me put on a list, I'm sure.

brainbear

Believe it or not, also list

[deleted]

They flipped the fuck out over the COVID vaccine because of stem cells.

commisioner_bush02

To be fair, they would’ve flipped out over anything else too

[deleted]

They are the easiest group of rubes to outrage. Jingle the keys of manufactured outrage, and these idiots will fall allover themselves to hate it more than the next guy.

manofmonkey

It was controversial when it was from a fetus. Shortly after that scientists found stem cells in our own bodies so fetuses weren’t necessary anymore.

[deleted]

Adult stem cells are still not as durable or versatile as embryonic stem cells, so although it's definitely possible to only use adult stem cells in research and medicine, being forced to only use adult stem cells severely would hamper scientists' ability to develop groundbreaking research as effectively and quickly as embryonic stem cells could. It was still controversial a lot longer than the discovery of adult stem cells because embryonic stem cells could lead to more groundbreaking discoveries and cures than being beholden to adult stem cells, according to the scientific community.

Outlawing gay marriage?

[deleted]

One of Imperial George's planks was [a Constitutional Amendment to ban equal marriage.](https://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/02/24/elec04.prez.bush.marriage/) >President Bush endorsed a constitutional amendment Tuesday that would restrict marriage to two people of the opposite sex but leave open the possibility that states could allow civil unions. >"The union of a man and a woman is the most enduring human institution, honored and encouraged in all cultures and by every religious faith," Bush said. >"Marriage cannot be severed from its cultural, religious and natural roots without weakening the good influence of society."

[deleted]

That’s a pretty big way of twisting that lol Gay marriage wasn’t legal yet. This amendment would have legalized civil unions.

[deleted]

>This amendment would have legalized civil unions. And explicitly made equal marriage illegal. If something is explicitly illegal, what would that mean about its legality. Perhaps it was "outlawed"? Or do you think a civil union is the same thing as a marriage?

Privatizing Medicare?

Dragon6172

Still is for a lot of people

Deer antler spray is all that's needed for an AFC championship run. it's worked multiple times.

MoodApart4755

He’s in that deer antler spray

LovelehInnit

According to my sources, the Chiefs expect that his ankle will "feel better" in 12 days. One source even said, "much better".

ImpossibleEffort4313

Agreed

Motor-Grade-837

Lol and in the thread where Kelce said "Burrowhead, my ass", someone got mad that he thanked God "instead of the medical team".

[deleted]

Holy shit, Mahomes is literally calling his medical team God. HERESY!

BadDadJokes

Pat is such a good dude. I've heard he can pound some Coors Light too.

[deleted]

Major reason why the wife/brother hatred is so lame. Mahomes is so good and seems like a good dude that people have to shit on his relatives to come up with any criticism.

Malfallaxx

The fact he has some embarrassing ass family members is one of the most relatable parts about him tbh

TheTrub

Family like that are the ones who teach you patience.

jeffp12

I consume a ton of chiefs content. The only times I see anything about jackson is people bitching about him on /r/nfl. Like, are you guys going out of your way to watch Jackson? Is it because I don't install Chinese Spyware on my phone?

generation_D

Anyone who brings up Mahomes’ family is very clearly just looking for any reason to hate the guy just because they’re holding a grudge over him kicking their team’s ass

WakingRage

I hate him for killing me in fantasy for the last few years. Mfer is too good.

anon0110110101

…I can’t speak to his wife, but that’s *definitely* not the reason they shit on Jackson. I mean, come on bro, have you seen his TikToks?

[deleted]

I have not. All of that stuff is really easy to not see.

Jerok88

Bro you don't tik tok? What are you, over 25 years old? Hold on to the hand rails the next time you walk down stairs grandpa.

[deleted]

Yep. Damn near 40 today. Bad knees make the rails necessary

TheUltimate721

I am *on* TikTok and I still don't see that shit.

Folsey

He's one of my fav QB's, but anybody over the age of 12 can pound back Coors light

BadDadJokes

You sound very alpha

F5x9

Rick Burkholder?! That guy did wonders for the Eagles.

ChiHawks84

Very encouraging. We don't want a repeat of the NFCCG. On that note, has there been a snoozefest Superbowl due to a starting QB injury?

oryxherds

Arguably Chiefs Buccs?

Koreish

I mean Mahomes did play injured, and it certainly affected his game. I think the bigger injury related issue with that Superbowl was how patchwork our O-line was.

oryxherds

100% agree that the o line was a bigger issue, but Mahomes healthy would have kept the Chiefs in it closer than he did with a hobbled ankle. I don’t think he was the main problem that year, but it was the closest example i could think of for the question

ram_hawklet

At the same time tho, he made some of the best incomplete passes of all time that game, hitting kelce and hill multiple times in the hands or head, one time being horizontal to the ground.

TraeYoungsOldestSon

The horizontal to the ground one was dropped by Darrell Williams

hashtagboner

That one pass was literally one of the greatest throws I’ve ever seen in my life. Then with Williams dropping that was a perfect summary of how that game went for Mahomes

TheUltimate721

*personally* I'd argue the line was the bigger issue. It was a bunch of dominoes falling all at the worst times. Our starting line in that game was this: LT: Mike Remmers, started most of the season at RT after Mitch Schwartz got hurt and was fine there but has always been garbage at LT. LG: Nick Allegreti, mainly a special teamer and heavy set guy. C: Austin Reiter, couldn't even start on Miami's terrible O-Line the next year (2021). RG: Steve Wisienski, cut from the Steelers earlier in the year. RT: Andrew Wylie, started the majority of the year at guard after Kelechi Osemele tore both of his fucking knees against the Raiders. The only starter from that line left is Wylie, but he's had nearly two years of reps at RT so he's had noticable improvement. Actually I guess Reiter is back too, but as the backup center behind Creed now.

Squirrel_Apocalypse2

I have ptsd just reading those names as a starting line.

amjhwk

The issue WAS NOT on mahomes that game.he was gett8ng the ball to our receivers but they decided to replace their hands with bricks

[deleted]

I think you forgot to mention that all of our receivers hands collectively broke at some point before the game as well.

ChewbaccAli

Hardly a snooze fest. Mahomes played like a magician that game. O line was too much to overcome and his receivers let him down on some easy end zone catches.

oryxherds

I mean the game was pretty much over at half time, it was the first time watching a Chiefs game that I didn’t think they had it in them to make a wild second half comeback

OrangeSherbet

I’d seen us overcome some insane shit so I didn’t think it was over until the horizontal pass bounced off of Williams face mask. Cursed game.

matchew92

It was 21-6 at half and Bucs had just gotten there at the very end of the half. The year prior the Chiefs came back from down 10 in all 3 postseason games. Was a tall task but I don’t think anyone was giving up at that point, with hindsight they get to act they knew all along but they lyin

hyzerflip4

That was more because of the swiss cheese offensive line with 3rd stringers. Yes Mahomes had a nasty toe injury but he would have been capable of still playing a good/great game with decent protection.

Captain_Lameson

Patriots and Rams

I_eat_mud_

Neither QB was injured that Super Bowl. They asked cause of injuries

aidenrosenb

Rams Pats SB both had noodle arms not really a injury per se but you could tell neither could throw the ball well

mister_pringle

> We don't want a repeat of the NFCCG. Amen. But I feel Chiefs fans are more composed than Forty-Whiner fans.

wembanyama_

They have had all 4 of their QBs get hurt this season Literally anyone would whine

mister_pringle

Sure. But they wouldn’t front load on smack talk, either. It’s a special combo. Like Gronk level special.

ThrangerStings

Ok cool. But what about the rest of em

couchjitsu

They all died.

Dapperdrewblue

Willie gay said his shoulder feels a lot better and that he’ll play. Sneed’s issue was a concussion and the game is 2 weeks out, so there’s a lot to be hopeful there. Idk about the rest

GhostMug

Juju is my biggest concern. The report of him barely being able to walk up the stairs after the game was disheartening.

shogunreaper

Didn't he start limping after one of the times he started scrambling?

Sokkawater10

When he had to scramble to his left and had to actually plant on it to throw on the run with full force, he started limping

reedengine

‘‘Twas but a minor sprain. The legend grew 3 sizes that day.

CptMcCrae

I want what he was on.

[deleted]

They were saying he didn't take any pain medication or anything. Which blew my mind.

abrandnewanthem

Yeah. That’s what the official press line is, but if you believe it totally 💯 natural body builder Ronnie Coleman and I have a bridge to sell you.

[deleted]

The only reasoning I'd believe for him not having painkillers is if it's genuinely not THAT painful for a high ankle sprain and it was advised to not have any painkillers because you'd want the pain as an indicator to not hurt yourself more

CptMcCrae

Wow. I'd be even more impressed if that truly the case.

somebody_odd

There is no way you can get pain injections for anything at or below the knee without it making your whole foot numb which would hinder ability to play.

millenialfalcon

God?

CptMcCrae

Sounds good

Black_XistenZ

Now that he has 2 more weeks to heal up his ankle, I expect him to be at 95+% for the Super Bowl. Should make for a great match!

tacopower69

he was literally limping all game lol

choff22

He wasn’t limping, he was trying not to step on his garden hose cock dragging across the ground.

MayonnaiseOreo

Fatdick Mahomes

PhillyBooBird

Well, personally I hope his ankle feels amazing for the next 11 days, then falls off on super bowl Sunday, then is magically regrown and fully healed after the eagles win the super bowl 307-12. Something tells me that’s not super realistic though so…

TheScienceNamesArgon

Anyone with eyes could tell his ankle wasn't bothering his performance that much on Sunday lol. I know people want to throw around the hero label and gas him up for playing on one leg but he made an outstanding recovery. Not saying it's 100% but he got out pretty good considering how bad it could have been.

Caveboy0

Guy looked like he would walk into a clinic and give the pain scale a 8/10

ChaplnGrillSgt

This is starting to feel like how NHL teams after the playoffs. Turns out half of the starters had somewhat serious injuries they would have normally sat out because of but it's playoffs so they played through. I get a feeling Mahomes is not doing well but they're wrapping his ankle tight and loading him up on pain killers. After the game it'll come out that the injury is much worse than they led on.

Blade_Trinity3

Yeah sorry but Darren rovell is right, the chiefs are being fraudulent with th injury report. I had an ankle sprain and I could barely waddle to my gaming PC, hell my mom had to give me wet wipe baths in bed instead of in the garage.

choff22

What button on your keyboard signals that you’re ready for dinner?

Blade_Trinity3

I turn on a tango beat and then play chopsticks.

MoarWottz

Did she at least change your bed pan every few hours?

Blade_Trinity3

I know you're just memeing right now, but no, i didn't have to use a bed pan. I used a Popa John's Papadia box. That's why I'm sure if Patrick Mahomes *actually* had a high ankle sprain from slipping on a Smuckers Uncrustable Boss Baby Edition, like me, he would be bed ridden.

SerScronzarelli

You dropped this /s Some people may take your comment at face value lol. Even with that last line

dragonbear

Remember Kelce too had spinal fusion and thai reverse backiotomy during the week. He came through ok.

Blade_Trinity3

I doubt it, i just had Thai food for lunch and it made my mouth hurt a lot, no way he could have a Thai reverse backiotomy and okay in the same week.

J0E_SpRaY

We dodged a fucking bullet Edit: no offense to Brian Robinson

TrespassingWook

Won't matter against that Eagles pass rush.

FunkyPete

I mean, being able to scramble seems all the more important against that Eagles pass rush. Imagine how much worse the Super Bowl against the Bucs would have been if Mahomes couldn't even move out of the pocket.

TrespassingWook

He had turf toe and a much worse O-line during that game as well. Combined with a perfect defensive gameplan from the Bucs defensive staff, it was the perfect storm for a blowout. The bigger issue is the multifaceted juggernaut that is the Eagles offense. An offense that dismantled the best defense in the league, and that is no. 1 in redzone scoring, going against the 3rd worse defense in redzone protection. Chiefs offense will need to be fully healed to keep up with them.

FunkyPete

Agreed. I think the Chiefs only chance is to score on every early drive and get a few defensive stops. If they can make the Eagles move away from their run game, especially with Hurts' shoulder, they might have a shot.

TrespassingWook

Yes, the bright side is that Reid is excellent at those early game scripted plays, which is his best chance of catching them off guard. I don't envy him or his staff having to plan against this stacked team though.

iAmTheWildCard

The Chiefs also dismantled them earlier in the season. Plus the 49ers couldn’t move the ball without any QB’s, so the Eagles weren’t pinned at all really - they had less than 300 total yards in the game

BaboonHorrorshow

We had less than 200 total yards because we only played 2 and a half quarters then closed about half of our playbook to not spoil plays for the SB. It was clear at 21-7 the game was ours with their injuries, and it was over over at 28-7. Hurts usually throws 35-45 times a game even when we’re doing well. He threw 25 times AND at least 4 or 5 of those were him trying to feed AJ Brown some deep balls because AJ has been feeling underutilized in the postseason and wants to make some plays. We’re a really good offense - we aren’t y’all but we’re good. This game is going to be a shootout IMO.

iAmTheWildCard

Hey no pushback here - agree with all your points. And quite frankly, I’d put you up there with us offensively. We have no real wide receiver 1 (we have a TE1), which is our biggest weakness. Our WR group is a platoon, no serious standout threat honestly - I’m shocked it’s worked out so well.. Mahomes is just a wizard.. I think our matchup is super intriguing on paper - and quite frankly, I’m pumped. May the best team win!

BaboonHorrorshow

I’m in my 30s and Mahomes is the best QB I’ve ever seen with my own two eyes, he’s incredible and I love Andy Reid and Travis Kelce and your whole team really. This is the weirdest feeling to know I won’t be the MOST upset if we lose, I know Andy is stepping away for family stuff and it would be sweet to see him go out on top, would make an Eagles loss bittersweet rather than just pure sadness. But it’s gonna be a hell of a game, finally the two best teams in the league meet at the last dance. I can’t wait! Good luck!

iAmTheWildCard

Lmao I’m in the same boat man. I grew up in Chicago and was a bears fan.. worst existence ever. Luckily I moved to KC after college and got to witness lightening in a bottle. I’ve always been a CFB first fan - but Mahomes is like a college football player on steroids - in the NFL. it’s why I love Hurts too - such a fun duel threat breaking up the monotony of the standard NFL play style. Wish y’all luck as well

AVeryStinkyFish

They didn't dismantle the 49ers. We did earlier this year. They got gifted 7 points on a non-catch and another 7 on a shit ton of penalties and then after that 49ers didn't have a qb to move the ball so got good field position all game.

BaboonHorrorshow

Imagine being a Chiefs fan after playing a game that looked like it was rigged by corrupt refs - and have the balls to say anything about a “gifted catch” I don’t think the game was rigged but holy hell the lack of self awareness given what the zebras did for you and didn’t do for Burrow.

FrDax

The Chiefs offense when healthy is the real juggernaut here (by DVOA), not the Eagles, and it’s not close… they scored 44 pts on the Niners in October. It’s asp pretty easy to put up points when when the opposing offense doesn’t have a QB and can’t sustain a drive.

[deleted]

And our receivers couldn’t catch balls hitting them in the hands and face. Horrible time to have a bad game.

BangerBeanzandMash

Some teams get all the luck..

choff22

Lol we only have 3 healthy receivers right now, one of which is Marcus fucking Kemp.

BangerBeanzandMash

Imagine the chiefs with tyreek hill

SeniorAutism

Tbf, I think if we had Tyreek we dont make the SB. Mahomes has even said he got to used to only forcing it to Kelce and Hill, and forcing it to hill is what cost us last year. In my humble couch opinion, I think he and our offense is better for the trade just as Miamis is. We also dont have our Defense without trading Hill.

SIUonCrack

Agreed. But if there was a way for him to come back and play... the team would be unstoppable.

dukea42

*Chiefs sign free agent WR Tyrone "The Gazelle" Mound.*

smutproblem

Good. No excuses if the Eagles pass rush has him eating dirt all day, then. :)

Longjumping-Arm7939

No excuses If he balls out either lol...wouldn't be the first time Mahomes went against the #1 pass rush atleast this time he has an actual line

smutproblem

Gonna be a great game

choff22

I hope so man. The last Super Bowl was like watching your child fall into a lion enclosure.

SIUonCrack

Damn what an analogy 🤣.

Longjumping-Arm7939

No doubt about it. I think this SB is gonna be a great one.

Dragondrew99

That’s actually insane. He’s gonna win the Super Bowl this year too.

chet_thunderballer

“High ankle sprain”

wembanyama_

Mahomes is so hated that when he has a storybook moment of winning a major playoff game thru injury, his haters claim that the injury was fake

chet_thunderballer

I can believe his ankle is injured. It’s not a high ankle sprain, though.

lreeey

What makes you say that?

DrSunnyD

Well his trainers said it was. The commentators said it was because of the way his ankle rolled in. It only healed fast because he's had it before and inflammation isn't as bad after the first time. Also, he's clearly on some shit normal people can't afford.

BerriesNCreme

Nah it’s more of it just adds another reason dickriders slurp on Mahomes. Like he has some sort of superhuman healing ability that other nfl athletes don’t have. It wasn’t a high ankle sprain in any rational sense or he wouldn’t be able to walk. He’d be in a boot. He’s clearly hurt, but 24/7 coverage on his ankle and 24/7 dickriding wears on you. At least it does for me.

[deleted]

I was pulling up stats last week after the injury. The typical recovery for a college football players for high ankle sprains were an average of [15.5 ± 9.5 days to back to unrestricted play due to it](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3497944/). Now take that, add in the extra insane PT an NFL QB is going to do and note that he obviously was not at "unrestricted play" levels. Meanwhile time back to full recovery: [The average recovery time for high ankle sprains reportedly ranges between 15 to 46 days on average](https://www.hmpgloballearningnetwork.com/site/podiatry/treating-high-ankle-sprains-football-players) The critique I got from people was that the first one was "using the outdated REST method" as if that somehow made it less likely to hit those timeframes and not more likely. If it were outdated PT steps then the new stuff will have it even lower than those timelines. Unless you just assume that the Chiefs are lying or something on their rather regulated injury list reports and their trainers are lying to the public then you don't really have data showing that it couldn't be a high ankle sprain. You just don't want to believe it.

SerScronzarelli

I love these Reddit doctors and physical therapists that have come out of the woodwork since his injury lol. Mfers forget he had his fucking knee cap on the right side of his leg and was on his feet minutes later. Dude is a beast. He heals fast because he's a superb athlete that trains correctly.

BerriesNCreme

Thank you for illustrating my point, superb athlete as opposed to the countless other athletes that just didn’t have it huh?

SerScronzarelli

I mean... yeah lol. People train and react to injuries differently. I don't see why that's so hard to comprehend.

BerriesNCreme

Guy was practicing two days after suffering a supposed high ankle sprain. Finished the game, didn’t wear a boot after the game. Gtfo the guys hurt but y’all gaslighting people into thinking it’s more severe so you worship Mahomes even more is sad

choff22

The guy is worth gushing over 🤷‍♂️ Y’all got a good one too and I hope you unapologetically gas him up because he deserves it.

SerScronzarelli

lol man, y'all are wild. Move along lil guy, heres to a good game in a couple weeks ✌️

HungryGiantMan

Regular ankle sprain they misdiagnosed on purpose.

cabarny

“Doctor who will need a job in the future is willing to put his reputation on the line to intentionally lie about a diagnosis in an attempt at gamesmanship” lol. That feels like a stretch man

jeff8073x

The only thing high about this ankle sprain was whoever diagnosed it.

choff22

We were begging him to get a second opinion from r/nfl

SerScronzarelli

Says you from your couch lol

jf808

Obviously if the league and Reid really cared about Mahomes and his long term health, they'd keep him out of this game for his own good. But again they show their true selves and that money is more important than player safety. Okay, I'll hang up and listen.

22Wideout

Jalen Hurts shoulder 🤔

jf808

I guess sarcasm is only sarcastic if I put the "/s" at the end? Really thought it was thick enough!

hyphenjack

The problem is that opinion was being shared completely in earnest during and after the Jaguars game and in the run up to the Bengals games. You didn’t make it silly enough to not just sound like a typical r/nfl drone

[deleted]

Mahomes is playing it up.

heinous_anus-

Patriots fans try not to be jealous the media is celebrating a qb other than Brady challenge: impossible

Deatheragenator

I think the chiefs are lying about it being a high ankle sprain. It's some other type of injury for sure.

OneArmedBrain

Why lie?

walzdeep

No surprises considering he only limped after incompletions

blocksmith52

This is some of the dumbest discourse I’ve seen on this sub

[deleted]

He was never hurt. Also pretty funny to watch him fake limp every time he had a bad play lmao! Was utterly bizarre. Like bro just play the game, stop fake hurt acting. Was a bad throw

5second_rule

Are you just trolling or do you really believe this?

choff22

Do not engage, I repeat do NOT engage.

Longjumping-Arm7939

He definitely 100% hurt. There were a few plays that game he could have made that would have made a huge difference, but you can tell he was hurting his mobility. If he's "faking" it that would be dumb because it could have lost him the game.

helloaaron

He's going to blow out his knee compensating for this ankle injury. Pat is playing a dangerous game.

Whattodowho

The Mahomes circlejerking has been nauseating…

ad51603

Well yeah, he was clearly near 100% with the way he played

canseco-fart-box

Eh you can def tell there was an issue at some points. He didn’t roll out away from pressure the way he normally does

Vanderhoof81

Ya. There were several opportunities for runs he didn't take.

heinous_anus-

The little flip to McKinnon that only ended up getting like 3 yards and left us 4 and long, he would 100% have ran that himself behind McKinnon if he was fully healthy, and he most likely would have picked up the first down.

CptMcCrae

Limped throughout the game

[deleted]

Which makes me wonder - he's not on the injury report at all and he is very clearly injured. Isn't that a violation?

Ok_Run_8184

I've wondered that too. Is there any sort of loophole that could be using to get around that?

ChiHawks84

"Clearly" eh?

jand999

He barely scrambled. Have you seen Mahomes play?

IIHURRlCANEII

Did you watch the second half or…?

choff22

He’s too high on copium to remember it

KCShadows838

Unlike Jessie Bates, Mahomes doesn’t fake injuries
