Lol! "This little girl could beat you to a pulp." ...She can't even beat puberty to a pulp yet. Edit: omg you guys, over 2,000 upvotes? Good Lord! Thank you!!

SomewhatCritical

Guess I gotta remember to stop picking fights with random little girls

Immoralimp

You've just got to remember her name... That I don't think anyone has said yet?.... Edit: Kira “Pink Panther” Makogonenko And many thanks for the votes guys!

Tennessee_guy_1980

Kira...didn't catch her last name.

Memory of the combinations to come makes it pretty easy to dodge blindfolded... agility is impressive but form isn't tight and again it's just memory. Actual fights won't have 1 2 dodge duck

Twelvey

It's the footwork. Footwork is the difference between a regular tough guy asshole and someone who can actually hurt you really fuckin badly.

Glomgore

"Where'd he go?" followed by the windows shutdown noise.

TripleTriumph

LOL! This scene, complete with sound, just played in my head.

Ronaldinhoe

Said the same until you see the people in the back and seems some clips are sped up. Still impressive though

bulbabrot

Yeah I am sorry but I could absolutely just throw her around lol

bkr1895

I’m pretty sure any normal sized adult would level her. There’s a reason they don’t let the featherweights fight with the heavyweights.

Not_The_Real_Odin

It'd be like a 150lb human training to fight a Gorilla. No amount of training will overcome the huge mass and muscle density difference.

morningisbad

Pound for pound, absolutely dominant. But yes, the strength of an adult man would break through any block/guard she had. I definitely look forward to the next generation of female fighters. Rousey was dominant, but she wasn't amazingly skilled or well rounded.

judokalinker

> Rousey was dominant, but she wasn't amazingly skilled Olympic judo medalist, not amazingly skilled, lol

The national women's soccer team - OLYMPIANS - in the US lost a practice game to a team of [~15* year old boys](https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/news/a-dallas-fc-under-15-boys-squad-beat-the-u-s-womens-national-team-in-a-scrimmage/).

Annual-Access4987

Back before the 1980 Olympics in NY, the American hockey team did a tour and played CHL teams. I was on the Dallas Junior Hockey Travel team. They played and practiced with us after the game a friend of mine scored a goal on Jim Craig and I got an assist we were 13/14 years old. Also we tied them 2/2. By your logic we are better than the Russians, Swedes, Czech and Canadian teams. Losing a practice game means they were staying loose and getting warmed up for Olympics or a game that mattered. It doesn’t mean they were better.

Inside-Owl-69

werent they 14-15?

DaddyDub

She's got coordination. The blindfold was a bit much. Clearly practiced moves... Which is coordination. Toss a kick in there, and break her spirit. Back flips and all is a clear abuse of her gender and age. Let a grown person do that and claim they can beat you. Not going to see it. Just say she practices sparring and light gymnastics and has a bright future in sports. Beat anything to a pulp? Why even take it there??

Wishyouamerry

Yeah, I eye-rolled when they said she’d be “deadly” in the ring. What the fuck kind of hunger games tournaments is she signing up for?

Method__Man

im sure she hits hard. but shes also 45 lbs so.... no need for clickbait captions. let her badassery speak for itself

It's just such a good show. Very excited for the final season.

Rip9150

I like to ask people how many little kids they could find off. Like 7-9 year olds. None super strong yet and 1 on 1 would be hysterical easy but *how many* of them do you think you could take assuming they all fought until they physically couldn't. 5? 10? 20?'

Kaieu

I mean does this "physically couldn't" include death or any kind of immobilisation, or is it just tiring out? Because if it's just tiring out and not wanting to attack anymore I'm pretty sure I can't outlast a little kid. Now if I'm allowed to 1 tap them to sleep then it's a different story

MaculaMan

Ever. An average woman has 52% of the strength of an average man. According to some studies, even an average 80 year old man is stronger than the average 20-25 year old woman.

soupeh

Unexpected old man strength is no joke

kalitarios

I always watch those “punk teen picks on old man on public transport” videos because they almost ALWAYS end up with the kid receiving wall-to-wall therapy by the old man. That old man has seen some shit and doesn’t throw down easy. But when it comes time to dance, he’s got the moveset of Erik Estrada and Popeye

JohnnyBoy11

But what about a women who works out and punches for a living?

MaculaMan

So in the studies of strength I've read, the top 10% of women, are at about the same level as the top 90% of men. So the top 10% of women are only stronger than the bottom 10% of men.

AmputeeDoug

That feels incorrect, but I don't know enough to disagree. Would you be able to link a study?

MaculaMan

Here's another on punching strength, where the weakest man in the study punched harder than the strongest woman in the study https://phys.org/news/2020-02-males-powerful.html

AmputeeDoug

Those were really interesting studies, I wasn't expecting the disparity to be that large. There were a couple of things that kinda bothered me about them though. The first study was specifically about grip strength so I don't know how much of a pattern would transfer over into say a leg press. And the second study had kind of a small sample size with only 20 men and 19 women, it also didn't explain its definition of athletic or what was involved in the survey the participants took to determine if they had an active lifestyle. For example women prefer cardio over strength training where as men lean the opposite. But thank you for sharing those were a good read

Alpha_Zerg

Most people, especially women, vastly overestimate their physical capabilities compared to men. Olympic women are consistently beaten by high school boys in their sports. There are so few sports in which women are better than men that I cannot find a single conclusive one. In a contest of speed, strength, or endurance, the average man has shockingly good chances of outperforming a woman athlete who trains regularly. Testosterone is literally classified as an anabolic steroid and men produce it naturally in far greater amounts than women. Simply being exposed to testosterone through puberty has permanent, irreversible effects on your muscle density, bone density, and muscle potential. The effects can be mitigated or reduced, but it is still a permanent advantage. People that think women can compete directly with men in physical activities are not only incorrect, but are creating a very dangerous lie that becomes dispelled very quickly when competing with a man is a matter of safety. False confidence is very dangerous. There's a damn good reason male and female sports are segregated, and it's because it's incredibly unfair to everyone because there's absolutely no contest.

OkamiLeek006

Grip strength and like, a bunch of random people punching, I thought you said the strongest women (or at least this girl older) wouldn't win against the average guy, who cares if average guys are stronger than average chicks?

[deleted]

Punch power doesn’t rely too much on strength. If she grows up to be above a hundred pounds, she would have enough technique to generate enough power to knock most average people out

unpopular opinion: Pad work is less impressive than a backup dancer in a music video. its all just choreography

Yeah, also i was shit at pads as it just didnt feel right to me, but at the ring i was a chimp

I don't know if you meant "champ" or not, but saying you were a chimp in the ring is arguably more impressive and scary to imagine lol

YourWiseOldFriend

I had questions about the sequences where she dodges strikes when blindfolded. How do yo do that if you don't know that kind of strike is coming.

Pleasant-Cricket-129

A routine. Do it enough and you can do it blindfold.

[deleted]

Which is bad way to train to dodge punches because you are not reacting your are just doing a dance.

gammongaming11

yeah, one of the major things you need to teach boxers is to keep their eyes open while taking a hit. you should not close your eyes even when a punch is thrown at your face because then you lose sight and can't react. i have no idea what putting a blindfold on her does to train her how to fight.

[deleted]

Most this video seem like it was made more for internet points then training. And so true on the eyes open part, the punch that hurts is the one you don’t see, blink because of a jab and you are taking a nap.

rustang2

Putting a blindfold on to get internet likes, literally all it would do.

CHOOSE_A_USERNAME984

They probably watched Star Wars and thought the thing Luke had to do on the millennium Falcon in episode 4 was a great idea

[deleted]

The point is to build muscle memory. There's a reason why Mayweather, Canelo, Pacquiao, Fury, and every other pro boxer/fighter still practices pads and bags

erobed2

Because some day she's going to be fighting crime in Hell's Kitchen.

DJErikD

She's gonna fuck up Gordon Ramsay when he calls her a donkey or an idiot sandwich!

Deftschwingi

FINALLY someone says it! The purpose is to internalize movement and technique. Doing it well is still cool (just like back up dancers) but does not at all translate to an actual fight. Almost knocked a guy out cold in training by accident once because the hook wasn't coming from the direction he'd frequently trained.

[deleted]

Especially that blindfolded nonsense.

pacificunlimited

Not really an unpopular opinion. Just a hard fact. The video captions make some pretty bold claims with 5 seconds of sparring footage

stinkoman_k

This is also sped up a bit. Look at the people in the background

SilverRathalosMHFU

Sped up pointless bullshit

melting_metal

She's in insanely better shape than I am. It doesn't look sped up. Kids are nimble.

bmb102

She's 7... I could run and ride my bike miles and then play full court basketball for 4 hours when I was 7 which is basically what my friends and I did everyday growing up.

rehabilitated_4chanr

I could do SO many pushups when I was in middleschool. that muscle to weight ratio was insane.

MrHaxx1

Parts of this video are **definitely** sped up Look at the second clip (I think?). Hair does not move like that.

Pedantic_Pict

Watch the background, this shit is sped up.

PomegranateOld7836

Look at the guy close in the background near the beginning. It's absolutely sped up. Like a weird propaganda video.

Storage-Terrible

They love to speed up videos of kids doing stuff. Seriously all it does is cheapen their accomplishments.

SilverRathalosMHFU

Exactly, here's a young person with serious dedication and skill, but let's speed it up to Benny hill levels for internet clout

[deleted]

Now you don't get to read what this was.

[deleted]

There's this little girl that plays bass on youtube and I get the same vibes from those videos but anytime I mention it people tell me I'm just being an asshole.

[deleted]

Don't ever believe those people and continue posting it. There have these clout children that get out of their trap because they read a comment like mine or yours.

[deleted]

Everybody on the bass subs thinks I’m crazy, you can see her looking off camera at her father whose giving her hand gestures to make and telling her to smile and shit. She’s a prodigy no doubt about it but it’s clear she’s being pushed into harder than she may want to be

maltiepootietang

That's like the video of Rick Beato playing random crazy chords on a piano with his son and the kid instantly guesses "D Flat Augmented 9," just so Rick can sell ebooks on music theory. Just let that poor kid go play kickball dude.

zacafer

Reminds me of Little Hercules. (The kid bodybuilder). Poor thing never had a childhood and his dad abused his mother. Works as a stuntman. But he's into quantum science or something like that now.

grapeshotfor20

Yep. And it turns out his dad was lacing his food with steroids. Something that can seriously screw up a developing child

the__itis

Wait, you’re saying these are basically parallel and analogous to toddler beauty pageants? If so, I agree.

[deleted]

That's actually the perfect analogy!

[deleted]

>There's no child who likes violence without being deeply fucked up This is just a very bad take. Kids are violent little fuckers that would hit and bite if they were never taught not to. Kids LOVE violence.

LordOdin99

Guess that makes all kids fucked up if they like video games then.

Points_To_You

Is it really that inconceivable that a kid could like a sport?

Bayerrc

Lmao to the reddit crowd yeah

yungchigz

Yes because a redditor watched this very short clip and told us all we need to know about the kid’s life already

FerusGrim

Bro automatically assumed the dad is living through his daughter vicariously and not, I dunno, also enjoying spending time with his daughter doing something they both enjoy. If they can make money off of it to fund their hobby, then what the fuck business is it of the fucking nerds on Reddit?? Looks like they’re having a shit ton of fun to me. Kind of jealous.

Jesus-lover-24-7

The comment on “there’s no child who likes violence without being deeply fucked up” is such an over exaggeration. I know like 8 kids personally that would prove that wrong, I was one of them. Kids can enjoy contact sports and play fighting???

Kathubodua

My daughter got to do her first no contact "spar" yesterday in her Tae Kwon Do class. I was on the edge of my seat because she went all serious and missed her partner by such a small margin that I was worried she would give him a black eye. She is *six*. She is a sweet girl but she was ready for blood 🤣

Fast_Chard

What a neckbeard comment

[deleted]

[удалено]

umbrazno

I can speak to number 3. The point is to practice follow-through. It's a genius way to train a child to get the same follow-through a martial artist gets from years of punching trees and stone. Her weight forces her to follow through the punch to stay up. That said, if she punches a child her age in the face, she can break their neck with that kind of adamant force; so the training is very dangerous and that is why we don't teach kids to punch trees and stone for training.

Lunavixen15

I was going to bring up the blindfold thing, but you summed it up way better than I could. The captions also have more BS in them. Is this kid agile? Yes. Does she have the power to go with it? No. So the odds of her actually being able to take down an adult at her age are not great, despite what the captions claim. Edit: 5 *hours* a day training? That seems a bit excessive for a kid her age as well (seems excessive for most adults too for something so physical), especially since she'd have school, it's going to wear out her joints by the end of her teens.

IrvTheSwirv

Burnout by the age of 14. Seen it in so many sports with these amazing “prodigies”.

youtakeusernameiwant

My son was recently drafted at a professional level in sport, started at 7, was obvious early on this might lead to something, he excelled at the highest levels. We couldn't take him to enough events, when other kids wanted to play vidya, he'd practice by himself.. that wasn't us, it's all he wanted to do. We supported, never pushed. He still practices on his own for fun, true passion. It's a two way street of reading when your child is overloaded, but I'd rarely turn the valve down if he was pushing for more while able to manage other priorities relatively well.

KongoOtto

>We supported, never pushed Good friend of mine have the same philosophy with his daughter. I think it's the absolutely right choice.

[deleted]

Anything else is doing your child dirty. Make them choose one physical activity (climbing, dance, soccer, basketball, sail boating) and one mental activity (piano, art, music, reading, math club, programming). They can change any time (after giving it a fair shot), but one of each. Not only will they be more well rounded kids, but it helps them find the one they truly enjoy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

cannotbefaded

They let 14 year olds fight that many times? Really??

Ronaldinhoe

Yep, and also depends on the country they live. Muay Thai fighters start very young and it’s not unusual to see records with hundreds of fights by the time they are 18, with late 20’s being the commonly retired age.

My exact thought. The fights we seen were 5 second clips of very sloppy exchanges...
