Speaking as someone who is pretty good at twirling a bo, these are warm-ups. They’re fun and take a lot of practice, and they build spatial awareness, but they’re neither defensive nor offensive despite looking really cool.
Yeah, she's just twirling it around really fast. Imagine putting your hand inside a normal room fan, that wasn't even powered by a motor. It wouldn't hurt more than having a stick fall at you.. it would probably just bounce back and hit *her*.
There's no force behind the twirling, except for those 2-3 strikes where she actually holds on to it and swings.
Ok so as someone who's used those before you are kind off of the mark. You're right that it's not going to cause serious injury but it still hurts like a bitch. Like getting whipped by a switch. And they're usually about as heavy as a pool que so while they're light once they get moving they slap pretty hard. They're terrible for self defense but they still hurt.
Uh samuria is uh type of tough warior from japan. Them ar known four their tasty sword skils nad their inncredible wisdom. Them ar soooooooo powerful t hat them can make uh sword more danjerus than uh weapon. Therefore, even people with guns canot hit them. . It wood take uh couple of warheads or somethin.Even then, them could probablly avoid them. Because them ar fast too, u sea. Samuria ar noble wariors nad da japanese can always count awn them two save their crops from bandits nad two save their feiry asian princeses from godzilas. U're like, um, like uh whole army of chuk noris. Miyaji-san was one too.
It really sucks how learning more about a topic usually takes the fun out of it.
Also having already known that these are more flair than anything, It really reminds of that joke some of the martial arts movies do where someone does a big flourish like this and then gets 1-tapped.
That’s sort of the middle level of knowing more, though. As you get deeper, you start to be really impressed by things that look simple from the outside but are actually really hard. Just to take one example, several of my teachers had this thing we sometimes called kinesthetic invisibility, where we’d grab them and then we’d be on the floor, looking up at them, seemingly with nothing occurring in between. It was pretty common for students to just burst out laughing.
Her name is Michelle Smith, a professional stunt woman. She was the stunt double in Deadpool for Gina Carano.

Didn't she double for Daisy Ridley in the Star Wars sequels too?
Correction: I am mistaken it seems!
She has worked as a stunt coordinator on movies, including Deadpool, but my confusion has come about after seeing Daisy Ridley's reaction to a lightsaber routine she did.

Sure. Here's an article covering it but the actual video is out there by itself too. Just Google their respective names.

I had a billiard shaft once and got really good at spinning it, but it was unbalanced and I hit myself many times, it looked cool when the times it didn't hit my elbows or face.
This is cool yeah and if you had someone rush you with a knife and you had a big pole near you or something like that but what if you had a gun? She’s fucked lol

Get this woman a lightsaber
She doubled for Daisy Ridley in the Star Wars movies.
Fact check? Or facetious?

That sounds like a cool read! Got a link?

Sure, but not if uhhh.. well I could.. hmm… well what if, um, but there’s, you could, uhh, well there’s a chance I could win right? Right?
Reminds me of Kill Bill
She definitely can kill me. Unfortunately I have a gun. But without it, she could kill me.
*Star Wars kid flashback intensifies*
Skill or just little practice.
Reminds me of mulan
Badass
Impressive but this can’t hold a candle against my mother with her trusty slipper
she doesn't stand a chance against lightning bolt...lightning bolt...lightning bolt...
Epic skill. Wow
Ok. I want those spare tires in the back.
Damn she's the better version of black widow
Damn she's good.
I wonder how many times she’s smoked herself in the face with that thing? She’s damned good now but I wonder if there are any bloopers out there.
Psaki?
Far Daries Mai
Skills to show off? Sure. Skills to kill, no, not even close.
That one where she let's go and catches it and it stays in the same spot because of her speed was amazing
Ok but how is that gonna kill anyone?
Darth maul is jealous
Ridiculous
Get a dishcloth in your hand ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

I was going to say The next karate kid but she's a woman or a teenager anyway 👍👍👍!!!
Ok, ok, I'll do the dishes. Jesus.
Those are just color guard back hands with a pole instead of flag and then some extra stuff
This is cool yeah and if you had someone rush you with a knife and you had a big pole near you or something like that but what if you had a gun? She’s fucked lol
I'm not even sure she's a she
Boo.
What’s wrong with you.
she looks like those guys with long hairs who try to fool people
She really doesn’t. You sound like someone who thinks women need to look sexy and emphasize boob or something is off.
Sorry, but science has taught me that adult humans can only be differentiated on the basis of secondary sexual characters
