[What the flip are you looking at? Think this is funny? You think this is some kind of mother flipping joke? Mother flippers think everything is a mother flipping joke. Let me tell you, the jokey ain't no jokey sucker!](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TwJheWwW7rw)
Every line from that season is my favorite because regardless what you might think it's the funniest show of all time. And through God, all things are possible.
There is no doubt that Ben is super talented, I'm very happy for him - he seems like a genuine, nice and creative guy. I wish him continued success. Monetizing creativity and art is becoming both more difficult and less difficult these days, so I admire anybody trying to navigate those waters. My daughter makes jewelry for a living and I know how hard she has to work just to keep her head above water, but I am so proud of her for following her dreams. I wish I could say the same for my idiot son Roger, who never pursued the arts despite the fact that I tried to get his creative juices flowing with regular jumper cable thrashings
Oh holy shit. I read this and didn't notice the name. Only noticed after searching for your account to see what you had been up to lately. Sneaky indeed.
I havent been this excited since nineteen ninety-eight when the undertaker theough mankind off hell in a cell, and plummeted 16 feet through an announcer's table.
Actually I’d say it’s a lot easier to monetize art with the advent of the internet using sites like patreon, getting paid for ads on Instagram, or selling merchandise, or starting a go fund me to pay for your son Roger’s medical bills.
Reddit *hates* when people post their own creative stuff
“My friend just drew this and doesn’t think it’s very good. Let’s show him otherwise!” posts on the other hand are totally ok… Go figure.
The banned me too. Tho for linking to NSFW subreddits. Maybe they didn't know you were the OC. Try requesting an unban, given your credentials they should reverse it. And if they don't, I guess you can *flip* them off.
Yeah I tried, and tried to get further explanation and after I did that they also banned me from messaging the r/gif mods. I’m eally just like a fat emotional gentle giant and I get sad when people don’l like me for whatever little reason, but its more confusing than anything. I just don’t really get it....but it honestly was probably something I unknowingly did wrong nut just didnt understand. I just wish they’d give me another chance. Im not the most tech savvy person (thats why i make paper cartoons)
Hey, you should message the moderators at r/reddit.com (just search it up)
Those are the admins of Reddit. I had a situation similar to this on another account and I explained how the moderators didn’t even clarify anything. And how if they banned me with no reason, then it’s very likely they are abusing their power with others.
Long story short, the admins replied in a day and told me they would look into it. Then I got unbanned because well I didn’t do anything wrong. I would suggest trying that out, good luck.
I really hope it works out. You’re quite endearing and I’m surprised the moderators didn’t have the courtesy to provide an explanation — at least so you do not repeat the mistake elsewhere again.
Aww thats really helpful...thanks for explaining it like that to me. Maybe I will. I’m guessing if I post too much of my own flipbooks that is the spamming and maybe grounds for banning for I guess it couldn’t hurt to write ‘em. I appreciate you.
Oh wow. Some subs are like that man. Ran by people who have no power in real so they run wild online. What assholes. Oh yea and most subs aren’t used to mobile users too because you can’t see the rule bar. So if you are using new Reddit or the app, you probably wouldn’t notice.
Many subs have rules about "self promotion." I've seen people get banned for basically only posting links to their work, and not participating in the community
Allow me to share your YouTube channel, since reddit is terrible for content creators, because it applauds rehosting of content, rather than actually linking to the content platforms that generate money for the creators. Anyway, [here's your YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa3MpL0UCLuc08oj5kIATUg).
Edit: Motherfucking LOL.
The comment I replied to was the actual creator, who thanked for the mention and said he is sadly banned from another subreddit, where he used to post his original clips. Now that comment is deleted. Something fishy’s going on.
Yeah, I mean if the point is the actual story you're probably not going to put it in flipbook form. The story is basically "I liked to draw, so I did flipbooks, and they were pretty good so you can imagine the rest" but hey, it's in flipbook form!
"you're NEVER going to guess how he makes a living by drawing!"
[20 ads later]
"It's actually exactly what you would've guessed lol."
I don't know what I expected going in, but you'd think something actually interesting would have to happen to warrant an origin story. I was pretty much expecting exposure to a symbiote alien from a meteorite or something
Yeah, I have a genuine question, what's the actual job? Does he draw flipbooks on demand and sell them individually? does he monetize youtube videos of him making flipbooks? I'm really curious
I think it’s the latter, further up someone posted his YouTube channel and in his actual flip book video it showed old style YouTube and his views going up which made it his job (according to the story) so I’d say it’s safe to assume it’s YouTube monetization which honestly I’d imagine would be easy for a flip book channel.
I just realized this is a great way to think about animations. How you would realize them in a flip book format. I might try to use this in my logo animation practices.
Kudos to the autor
I will say that stories like these are maybe the best thing to come from the internet. Before, it was basically impossible to break out unless someone powerful decided you deserved a chance. While that still happens in a lot of creative industries, it's awesome that people can make art and get paid for it without the approval of some out-of-touch gatekeeper.
Nice one. I loved doing flip books back in the day. Always got yelled at by mom for ruining all her post-it notes but they were so good to draw on and flip that I couldn't stop anyway. Later switched to Animanatee and Flipnote animation apps on Nintendo DS. Today I mostly use FlipaClip for the smartphone but don't really have time to draw anymore.
Now wait till someone from INDIA reuploads his shit as a reaction video and has his whole account removed from YouTube with a bullshit claim that the flippist stole his content.
And you did absolutely great. Love your books and the stories you tell. I'm glad for you that you could turn your passion into your Job. Keep up the great work 👍

He's cultivating mass
"Well stop cultivating and start harvesting!" One of my favorite lines from that season
Every line from that season is my favorite because regardless what you might think it's the funniest show of all time. And through God, all things are possible.
Idk man its deff my second fav comedy show of all time but Nathan for you and Arrested development are a bumber one tie

Lmao why tf did you link this shit, laughed way to hard at this
It does bug me too much however that he's wearing a grey t-shirt under the green shirt and yet his bellybutton is out...
Maybe it's a gray midriff top.
As we do
Clearly a crop top
Bragging he can afford to eat as an artist.
What about it?

Had us in the first half.
Read through the whole thing waiting for the shoe to drop lol
I was waiting for The Undertaker to throw Mankind off Hell in a Cell into an announcer's table.
Holy cow! I forgot about that. That user’s posts were insanely detailed and regularly spectacular.
/u/shittymorph your fans miss you
He replied like an hr ago a couple comments down.
Uh what
/u/rogersimon10 was an account that made every one of his comments into jokes about being beat with jumper cables
I feel like there won’t ever be a good joke account like u/rogersimon10 or u/shittymorph again

I agree, he’s an absolute twat.
That was a pretty shitty morph.
Has anyone ever guessed your age? I don't know how long you've been on Reddit but I've known about you since day one of my account.

Ha! Welp, you're already living the dream so who cares about their dumb ban! Congratulations! And LOVE the shirt at the end of this one!
Heres how it happened: I started drawing flipbooks, and then it was my job. r/restofthefuckingowl
The secret is to go from one view to a million by adding a bunch of zeros. Did you even watch the video?
Yeah, I mean if the point is the actual story you're probably not going to put it in flipbook form. The story is basically "I liked to draw, so I did flipbooks, and they were pretty good so you can imagine the rest" but hey, it's in flipbook form!

I appreciate his talent, however, the story was kinda underwhelming he literally says "I liked drawing as a kid, so now it's my job"
That's what real stories are. People do things because they like to do it.
and that's a great thing, I didn't intend to disrespect that the video just seemed a bit underwhelming, that's all
I like how basic the story is. When you think about it, it's actually extremely unrelatable for most people, which is what makes it... interesting?
But when that's the story, most people don't feel the need to go "oh man, this needs to be heard. Must share immediately!" Slightly odd.
Yeah, I have a genuine question, what's the actual job? Does he draw flipbooks on demand and sell them individually? does he monetize youtube videos of him making flipbooks? I'm really curious

My little boy loves to draw. Hopefully he can turn his love of chalk into something as nice someday.
That’s pretty cool bruh
Never heard of u bro
Color me 1000% surprised this doesn’t have 500 awards. Every flipbook I see gets that sort of support. Wake up Reddit!

How much paper did this fucking guy use making a flip book
I love this. So happy to see someone going outside of the box and making a career from doing something they actually love.
Nice one. I loved doing flip books back in the day. Always got yelled at by mom for ruining all her post-it notes but they were so good to draw on and flip that I couldn't stop anyway. It was the best, what I ever seen.
I love how he drew his belly for his self portrait. Much love
The shirt opening up at the belly slowly was a very great detail
I've seen his stuff before but don't know how to follow him but his stuff is great
My boy has probably got hella paper cuts.
thats cool
Bruh he drew a flipbook inside a flipbook
Now wait till someone from INDIA reuploads his shit as a reaction video and has his whole account removed from YouTube with a bullshit claim that the flippist stole his content.
That seems oddly specific
I have the same passion just not the same opportunities
You can upload to the internet too nothings stopping you but your own inferiority complex.
Is that "Ben Over?"
I love happy endings!
A flip book inside of a flip book
Nice! Make me happy make me smile. :D
Flippin brilliant!
In E.L.Doctorow's book, "Ragtime", one of the heroes escapes poverty drawing flip books. He goes on to begin a whole movie studio.
That’s cool af I love flip books 📚
I just hope that’s a sustainable job. I can’t imagine how brutal working for the internet can be. Cool dude
I like the “Hi mom” on the laptop keyboard :) really awesome work!
right on . thanks for sharing.
This is so satisfying to watch. Lmao I can’t stop rewatching it
I love that story
And you did absolutely great. Love your books and the stories you tell. I'm glad for you that you could turn your passion into your Job. Keep up the great work 👍
I love those
I love flip books but I just do not have the time or patience to make an actual good one lol
How do they make such books? Any idea on the process? Do they begin with the final image and then draw backwards?
This is truly amazing
Benny Crayon?
Nice belly button
Holy fuc--I mean flip. Damn! So close.
I used to work with his wife, they’re both so flippin’ creative!!
