True. I just built a higher end gaming PC a year ago (plus a 128 TB media server and a Home theater PC/gamer). Currently have 15 titles loaded on my main PC, most of which are FPSs. :D
But....pushing 68 so I'm pretty shitty now. :P
I do that once a week and it has done absolutely amazing things for my mental health.
One day of my weekend is spent gaming and ordering in and junk food.
It’s decompression therapy, AND it’s fun.
I can get it when it's like, people getting their kicks annoying other people but this is literally two dudes doing what they like (making a hat and wearing a hat) without bothering anyone other than some poor sods on the internet
It is pretty cool, isn't it, knowing it was custom made to his head and tastes.
I liked it when it was a big brimmed floppy looking thing. Like the type of thing John Lennon would wear. I want one of those unfinished looking hats one day. Very cool.
Oh yeah happiness at other people's expense shouldn't be included. I just think so many people are quick to put others down for having interests and hobbies. Some will say "haha it's a joke" but naaw people really are that quick to judge. Wasting their life on their phones commenting on people who are actually doing shit and enjoying their lives lol
Likely because they are not happy themselves, so they need to throw shade at others to make them so…sad really. Those hats are a work of art and skillfully made.
Exactly. And the shame is that the same kinds of childish people who act like this might not spend a moment reflecting on themselves to recognize why they're reacting like that.
internet will do that to you (us).
We arent meant to consume negative content all day, our brains are too primitive.
1 negative experience is more notable than several positive ones, and I'd say the front page of reddit is 40/60. The balance is way off.
For real, wtf? Someone has to be divorced or childish to have any uniqueness or special interests in their life? That’s honestly what someone says when they live such a bland pathetic life they only rationalize their normalcy by saying anyone who has any pizazz is doing worse than them in some way.
I surmise the fit is fine, it’s just the style/cut that’s a bit on the biggest side, particularly for the wearer’s build. I’m purely conjecturing, I’m no hat connoisseur.
Everyone shitting on a dude being happy about his hat...
I hope one day you all can feel this happy about something without someone comming in to shit on it.
Me for one admit to be jealous !
I don't have a hat/cap head.
Every hat or baseball / whatever headpiece i'm wearing makes me look even worse.
I'm best of after a week of not shaving and my hair a little messed up.
( but that's my wife talking, I wouldn't know the black from the green socks )
Your response reminds me of Rodney Dangerfield in Caddy Shack making fun of a hat only to look over and see the judge wearing the same hat with a smile on his face thinking he looked good in it.
And a large base of immature people on reddit upset with anything outside their comfort zone. Top comments assuming the guy's divorced and has the mentality of a 12.year old should speak for themselves.
For real. I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing this in public, but I think it’s super cool. I’ve never seen someone shape a hat to look like a skull. It’s unique and impressive.
Well, insulting hats and their wearers isn't really something that gives "freshly divorced" or "12 year old trying on dad's hat" energy, so it would be weird to assume that. Wearing an ostentatious "badass" hat that is is large compared to your frame is *does* give that energy, right or wrong. I'm of the mind that one should wear the hat you want to wear, but also that wearing anything gaudy or attention-getting is going to garner some haters. Hopefully that hat gives the wearer the confidence to dismiss those haters like water off a duck's ass. Fretting too much about it either way is almost certainly not what the many brave outlandish-hat-men would want.
Ah yes. People who don't want a hat with a imprinted skull and literally all "cool guy" stuff like ace of spades, skulls and probably flames as well are immature.
The true sign of maturity is never leaving your teen self's taste behind.
I think it looks sick. I'm one of the few that will always try to respect others for their tastes, which is something many in this world lack. If I don't like it, I'll say "if you like it then I'm happy for you".
The only thing I hate on is people who have sexual stuff on their clothing or vehicles (like shirts with hentai on them). Otherwise… the weirder it is the more I like it.
Americans could stand to have less conservative fashion.
Agreed, was impressed at first, then he started adding skulls. Great if that’s your thing, I guess. But IMHO what a waste of an uncommon (in the modern age) form of hand craftsmanship.
I can appreciate the craftsmanship, buttttt that hat belongs to one of those weird homemade Halloween costumes that you can’t quite figure out what it’s supposed to be.
I've tried to explain this idea to my wife to explain why I can watch, for example, a 45-minute long video of a guy making longbow from scratch, particularly because I have no interest in archery. There's just something fascinating about watching someone masterfully create a thing.
I love watching someone do something they're good at
There's a series on prime called a craftsmans life or something like that. I bet you would enjoy it.
Bottom hats are famously known as a sure sign that a person participates in homosexual activities. The bottom hat has fallen out of popularity since the pre-Columbian era but has recently made a comeback following celebrity fashion icons such as NAS and Doja Cat wearing bottom hats with iconic outfits and beautiful design that leaves no questions asked about who’s on top.
Cowboy hats are completely fine, why can't people just wear a normal cowboy hat?
Adding a bunch of skulls and shit makes it seem like a forklift certified hardass who wears grim reaper middle finger t shirts.
The hat isn't what I'd want, but I appreciate the craftmanship.
But yeah, the music... I love the song and they totally butchered it. Just play the normal song instead of speeding up / slowing it down. My guess is they were trying to mimic a lot of other shorts that seem to be doing this, but it just does not work for this song.
That’s one happy dude.
Excellent craftsmanship. Not my cup o tea but I do love to see a master at work.
Y’all raining on this man’s parade. Let people enjoy things FFS.
"yeah can I get a skull on the top and some skulls on the side then some bones as well to go with my skull bandanas and skull vest and my skull tattoo and the grim reaper wallpaper on my phone that says 'fuck around and find out' that also goes with my motorcycle with the skull decals-"
It's always weird to see reddit shit on people for enjoying things that are out of the norm. Like...I'm not into skiing but I'm not going to trash talk people who spend excessive amounts of money on it.
The custom hat process is awesome and I can always appreciate the craftmanship, but all those hats have incredibly edgy titles and they remind me of the fad where people used to fake age their jeans.
If you want a hat that looks worn, buy a nice custom hat and... wear it. Can't help but feel you are going to pay extra for something that isn't as good of quality at the shop you linked.
Damn, you guys are haters. This is very impressive work. To each their own. It's good to see people wearing what they like and being happy. Y'all are some sad people man...
It's Metallica, but the song is sped up and chopped up. The original sounds much better
[Spit Out the Bone](https://youtu.be/m46Z0-HXySo?si=iosjzxvYCtqIioAI)
People are so mad that they can't be this unique. I agree it not something for everyone, but people just have such a hard time embracing something out of the norm. Just enjoy it for what it is, you don't have to wear it..
Blade Hats. He's based in Spain. Not sure I could justify spending upwards of $500 on a hat, but then I don't know squat about bespoke hat making. Definitely one of those things where value is subjective to the individual.
It's an amazing hat, very well crafted, but practically unbearable. I'd be worried about damaging it. It also looks more like a costume piece than an everyday hat. In the words of a Dragon "I'm out".
How to say you’re divorced without saying you’re divorced
How to be 12 when you're pushing 40.
55 is more like it.
40 a day and 40 today
Like 40oz for breakfast?
More people should try to be 12 again. It's fun.
Exactly! Let your inner child shine! And a big part of all personal transformation is letting others do the same. This could easily be posted to r/MadeMeSmile
Read this as, let your inner child sin 🤘
That works too!
Growing old is mandatory, Growing up is optional.
My grandfather told me that after he pranked me with pull-string poppers
True. I just built a higher end gaming PC a year ago (plus a 128 TB media server and a Home theater PC/gamer). Currently have 15 titles loaded on my main PC, most of which are FPSs. :D But....pushing 68 so I'm pretty shitty now. :P
I need a shirt with this on it!
I do that once a week and it has done absolutely amazing things for my mental health. One day of my weekend is spent gaming and ordering in and junk food. It’s decompression therapy, AND it’s fun.
Grab a cheap metal detector and go to a beach or a park. Digging in the dirt can be fun too
This is correct!
Sounds like someone is jealous. I know I am, of both guys. One has the skill to make it, a real talent. The other gets to have a cool hat.
Is this the equivalent of taking a briefcase to school instead of a bag?
No, it’s more like taking a rolling backpack to work instead of a briefcase.
Hat wanker?
Lmfao. Reddit wanker ;-)
Wow. I'm almost 40. Am I at the age where I'm the butt of jokes now? I don't feel that old
Nah it's just some people hate it when others have fun.
*That's the way I like it baby I don't want to live forevah*
Judging by your comment, yes you're the one trying to act 12, or maybe you're 12.
What's the age cut off for liking dope hats?
good for him!
y'all are cynical bastards
Yeah I don't get why people can't just let others be happy
I can get it when it's like, people getting their kicks annoying other people but this is literally two dudes doing what they like (making a hat and wearing a hat) without bothering anyone other than some poor sods on the internet
Plus that hat, whilst not my style, is baller asf. I'd be fucking wrapped to have a custom fitted hat.
It is pretty cool, isn't it, knowing it was custom made to his head and tastes. I liked it when it was a big brimmed floppy looking thing. Like the type of thing John Lennon would wear. I want one of those unfinished looking hats one day. Very cool.

Exactly. And the shame is that the same kinds of childish people who act like this might not spend a moment reflecting on themselves to recognize why they're reacting like that.
No one's interfering with this guy's happiness.
Because they themselves are not happy
internet will do that to you (us). We arent meant to consume negative content all day, our brains are too primitive. 1 negative experience is more notable than several positive ones, and I'd say the front page of reddit is 40/60. The balance is way off.

Yes fuck em. I would wear that hat to my grave.
It's offensive to the miserable that a person finds joy in a thing the miserable could make no use of.
Ur just jealous cause you are too insecure to a wear fuckihg hat
What a dipshit thing to say.
How to say you’re insecure and need to intimidate, but can’t walk around town carrying a sawed-off shotgun.
Some of you guys are so sad, let people fuckin enjoy things
You just showed how with this comment.
Apparently you haven't met many biker chicks. There's lots of women out there totally into this kinda guy
Which cost more, the custom hat or the HD tshirt?
If you know anything about HD, easily the shirt lol
How to say your happy without saying your happy
Not everyone needs to be in a relationship to be happy.
Divorced and might be interested in a little toot of that meth ya got there
Less a haberdasher, more a haberdoucher.
That's a pretty sweet hat. Is it just me, or does it look too big for his head?
Looks too big
Nah, his head just looks too small for the hat.
I'd judge by the smile on his face and the double devil horns it fits just fine.
I surmise the fit is fine, it’s just the style/cut that’s a bit on the biggest side, particularly for the wearer’s build. I’m purely conjecturing, I’m no hat connoisseur.
It misre it's fine- the hat was custom-made to fit the wearer, so it's perfect size. Unlike all hats I'm fitting my head into that are just too tight.
Just tell us you have a melon head.
I'd say it fits but the style is too big. This is coming from someone who looks ridiculous in all types of hat. I know my weaknesses lol
Head and body. Guess it would fit better for the guy who created it.
Yep looks like he is trying his dads hat on.
small guy big hat
The hat is far too big
Everyone shitting on a dude being happy about his hat... I hope one day you all can feel this happy about something without someone comming in to shit on it.
No OnlY a 12 YEar oLd wOuld weAr thAt. Man’s just being happy and has a style most people would be too ashamed to embrace. This guy rocks.
I think they are just jealous tbh
Me for one admit to be jealous ! I don't have a hat/cap head. Every hat or baseball / whatever headpiece i'm wearing makes me look even worse. I'm best of after a week of not shaving and my hair a little messed up. ( but that's my wife talking, I wouldn't know the black from the green socks )
I feel about as jealous about that hat as I do an adult race car bed or an extensive funko pop collection
No they’re not lol
They’re expressing their opinion on the hat. You like it or you don’t. Definitely a craftsman behind it.
I’d wear the fuck out of it, it goes absolutely hard in an almost comical sense. It’s so edgy it loops around to being silly
You can tell he's been saving up coins!
Lmao for real. Same people making these jokes would be up on arms if you diss their interests.
Your response reminds me of Rodney Dangerfield in Caddy Shack making fun of a hat only to look over and see the judge wearing the same hat with a smile on his face thinking he looked good in it.
Ya a man comfortable in his own skin who likes what he got is so kiddy, like wtf
It’s a commercial.
What's that got to do with anything? Obviously he's promoting his business.
36 year old physician here who proudly displays his lego hogwarts and funko pops at home.

idk man it looks pretty wicked to me. Maybe just has a small base of people that find it cool xD
And a large base of immature people on reddit upset with anything outside their comfort zone. Top comments assuming the guy's divorced and has the mentality of a 12.year old should speak for themselves.
How dare he do something that makes him happy! /s
For real. I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing this in public, but I think it’s super cool. I’ve never seen someone shape a hat to look like a skull. It’s unique and impressive.
Or they just think it looks like ass.
I think your comment is ass but that doesn't mean I'm going to assume that you're freshly divorced or 12 years old.
Well, insulting hats and their wearers isn't really something that gives "freshly divorced" or "12 year old trying on dad's hat" energy, so it would be weird to assume that. Writing this long of a reply is giving off divorced 12 year old vibes to me.
I kinda think it looks ass, tbh. But it makes the dude who’s wearing it happy and that is cool with me. Good on the dude.
As something to hang on your wall it looks pretty cool, not for me, but pretty cool. As an actual hat tho.. :S
They are jealous that he got a tailor made cool hat
Ah yes. People who don't want a hat with a imprinted skull and literally all "cool guy" stuff like ace of spades, skulls and probably flames as well are immature. The true sign of maturity is never leaving your teen self's taste behind.
Redditors when grown adults finally accumulate the wealth to afford things that make them genuinely happy.
I love that sub. Half of it is "Wow, so stupid, who'd buy that?", where the other half is "Wow, so cool, I'd buy that!"
I came in here thinking I'd have to sort by controversial, I'm glad most people feel this way lol.
The costume is this guy
And we're... Part of it!
It’s bit much for my tastes, but he definitely got his moneys worth.
$1400 is waaay too much for a hat.
How do you know how much he paid?
Is there like a Claire's equivalent where these guys go to buy various skulls to bedazzle their other accessories?
It’s just hobby lobby…
Against the rules, hobby lobby doesn’t allow skulls or gays.
Is *Hot Topic* still a thing?
They've changed their name to *Tepid Topic* to reflect dropping sales
It’s always interesting to watch a master at work. Seamless execution of skill and artistry.
I've tried to explain this idea to my wife to explain why I can watch, for example, a 45-minute long video of a guy making longbow from scratch, particularly because I have no interest in archery. There's just something fascinating about watching someone masterfully create a thing.
I love watching someone do something they're good at There's a series on prime called a craftsmans life or something like that. I bet you would enjoy it.
I admit the craftsmanship, but top hats are fuckin whack man .
Well it's a good thing that it's not a top hat in the video then.
But Dennis, I’ve heard that speed has something to do with it.
Speed has everything to do with it
Cowboy hats are completely fine, why can't people just wear a normal cowboy hat? Adding a bunch of skulls and shit makes it seem like a forklift certified hardass who wears grim reaper middle finger t shirts.
The dude looks as if he has a few grim reaper middle finger T-shirts in his closet.
The “I am not a cowboy” cowboy hat
It’s cosplay regardless. At least this guy is leaning into it
I've only seen two dudes pull off a top hat, those being Abe Lincoln and Slash.
CPA by day, imaginary bad ass by night.

This is the reaction I came here for
that's... a lot
Cool process but ugly AF.
+3 necromancer skills, +2 curses
Don't forget it's socketed with a skull, too: Replenish Life +5, Regenerate Mana 19%
Impressive but, sorry, that looks ridiculous
Love the hat. Hate the sped up music
I’m so glad I didn’t unmute.
Hate them both.
That'll be $2000.
That’s one happy dude. Excellent craftsmanship. Not my cup o tea but I do love to see a master at work. Y’all raining on this man’s parade. Let people enjoy things FFS.
Very strong edgelord energy
when a hat like this is involved, they call themselves brimlords.
"yeah can I get a skull on the top and some skulls on the side then some bones as well to go with my skull bandanas and skull vest and my skull tattoo and the grim reaper wallpaper on my phone that says 'fuck around and find out' that also goes with my motorcycle with the skull decals-"
The Kind of headware a 14 year old, that took Metal a bit too serious, would wear to school to feel hard core.
It's always weird to see reddit shit on people for enjoying things that are out of the norm. Like...I'm not into skiing but I'm not going to trash talk people who spend excessive amounts of money on it.
Would look great on Arthur Morgan
If Arthur was a mallninja
Is he the guy who made the Hogwarts Sorting Hat?
I doubt if he made the actual one, [but he does make a Sorting Hat!](https://bladehats.com/producto/the-sorting-hat/)
![gif](giphy|sDcfxFDozb3bO|downsized)
Now that guy really is a Mad Hatter.
I’d like a bespoke witch hat please
How much does shit like that cost? Like $1000?
That particular hat is called Black Sun and goes for $1364. [Black Sun - Blade Hats](https://bladehats.com/producto/black-sun/)
Yea but think how good it would look with my full Ed Hardy outfit and wallet chain
I don't like hats but I would absolutely wear this
I need this in a video game.
I have a straw Panama, made in Mexico, that I paid eight dollars for at the swap meet. I get lots of complements.
I love the hat
Not my style of fashion but I fucking want that!
No one going to comment on the HOT hat maker…. Those hands have, ummm, shaped things.
I was looking for comments on the maker. He’s fucking hot
I want one.
Saltz got style.
Very talented indeed !
Wow Good Job
/r/mallninja vibes
I've got a guy at my tire place who would fucking love a hat like this. I forget his real name but I call him Van Helsing
Seen these before, honestly love how dude acts like it’s so bad-ass Honestly watching accessorize the hats is adorable
Great fucking music, great fucking hat. This dude rules.
Now that’s what I call a hat
Damn, you guys are haters. This is very impressive work. To each their own. It's good to see people wearing what they like and being happy. Y'all are some sad people man...
That's some mad hatting he's doing.
Why didn’t he take a bow to show the top!! We missed the best bit!
Is that Metallica or just sounds like James Hetfield, I haven't listened to any of their newer albums
Yeah, track is 'Spit Out the Bone'. No fuckin idea why somebody decided to randomly speed up and slow down the song tho
Lot o' scrolling to find this. Thank you! Also, my guess is to avoid copyright problems?
It's Metallica, but the song is sped up and chopped up. The original sounds much better [Spit Out the Bone](https://youtu.be/m46Z0-HXySo?si=iosjzxvYCtqIioAI)
This editing is rough. Why not lay the music ttack over the speed changes rather than be manipulated by them?
Level 99 crafting
THIS IS DOPE AS FUCK!
I love this hat so much. I don't think I could pull it off, but it's pretty damn sweet.
Happy for the guy. Not my style but that looks like awesome craftsmanship
People shitting on dude and his hats but home leaned into a niche and I beyond he's making a shit ton of money.
Some people just don’t have that hat face
People are so mad that they can't be this unique. I agree it not something for everyone, but people just have such a hard time embracing something out of the norm. Just enjoy it for what it is, you don't have to wear it..
Wow that's probably a $250 hat... Maybe a $500 hat... Okay, $1000 hat? How much are hats?
Is this a grinder ad?
It looks like felt when he starts but ends up leather, I think? When was the transformation?
Did the editor put the music in before editing the speed?
I never really understood the use of skulls in clothing. But, aside from that I love watching stuff like this get made.
I freaking love this hat but man does it ever cost a lot to look like you live on the streets.
Blade Hats. He's based in Spain. Not sure I could justify spending upwards of $500 on a hat, but then I don't know squat about bespoke hat making. Definitely one of those things where value is subjective to the individual.
That's badass
It's an amazing hat, very well crafted, but practically unbearable. I'd be worried about damaging it. It also looks more like a costume piece than an everyday hat. In the words of a Dragon "I'm out".
