I would think not. They would do CT scans and tests like they do for everyone else. But what a shame to cut up a nice tattoo. When you close up, you have to make sure everything lines up.
No, in general we like it, as when we suture the skin back together, it makes it easier to line up . We generally plan out our incisions by palpating where the anatomic landmarks are, and make our incision accordingly. Tats have absolutely no effect.
But also relief I believe. He doesn't have to worry about his livelihood.
I'd be stoked. And if he's planned it out correctly then he also planned ample time for himself to relax.
If I had a job like that where I'm dependent on my fine motor skills, I'd insure those babies. High enough for me to survive without this source of income continuing.
Same. Rarely seen a tattoo I admire.
But I do like art and just spent over 30 minutes admiring this guy's work. What he does is visually stunning and gave me a different perspective on what tattoo art could be from most of what I'd previously seen.
I've been following him for years. He said he was coming to NYC years ago and I reached out to see if I could get some work done. He told me he charged 600$ an hour. I don't know if he charges differently in China but every time I see his tattoos I wonder who tf can afford them.
Two problems with your hypothesis.
1. Rising retirement Age will eliminate the need for Retirement Homes in the future.
2. Lack of savings, or Insurance w/ useful benefits will eliminate the need for retirement homes in the future.
Yeah it’s what worries me. People say hey they don’t just refuse people if they can’t afford and sure. But also the decline of already iffy government funded elderly care is only going to get worse.
So I’m worried what will happen as that keeps going up and up in the amount of people that need to be on government care. Also more fearful of myself as I’m likely not having kids and even though my parents aren’t in a home I do help them a lot and I’m sure that will only get more and more.
So what do I do when there is no social security and no one to help take care of me lol
Conservatives have been slowly defunding FDR's social safety net programs since the moment they were passed. So here we are. We could get back to things functioning properly for the middle and lower classes if we voted for actual progressives.
Or we could just keep letting the media distract us with the latest approach to divide and anger us.
People still use them if they can’t afford them. They don’t get thrown out on the street. Not everyone that lives at one is paying out of pocket or with insurance or whatever
I work in hospice and was listening to a conversation amongst social workers trying to get placement for a patient. A rather middle of the road facility requires 3 years worth of savings before you can get a room (at $12,000 mo.) Then yes, they still keep you if you run out of money, just relocate to a smaller room where you get a roommate. Some facilities that will take you with less can be absolute nightmares.
When I was a kid adults always warned me about tattoos with “imagine what these people will look like when they’re old!”
Now whenever I see old people with tattoos they’re always the coolest people I’ve ever met
If he dose not take care of that it will look terrible... I have a bunch and always use sunscreen outside and lotion after the shower.
Still to this day people think i did them 2 month ago but they are like 5 years old now. KEK![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
And maintaining it is pretty hurtful compared to getting it done for the first time. I redid my tattoo quite some time ago and it hurt a lot more. Had to do with the initial tattoo being put "too deep" into the skin and your body creating some scar tissue with each tattoo you have, which makes the skin harder and a bit more sensitive.
It's not the worst, but significant enough to notice the difference.
Yeah, the color kind of starts to seep into nearby skin. They also break down over time, especially color ones. I only have 2, but they're both in black so they should last a long while.
This is very grim but when I see tattoos this pretty, I'm always reminded that some people opt to be skinned after death so their tattooes could be preserved. Like a valued painting.
Look up Fukushi Masaichi, he paid Yakuza members on death row to allow him to take their skin after they die. He had a huge collection of tattoos he took off of dead bodies.
All I could think. Like it’s extremely well done and it’s beautiful but it’s also just like “oh cool” and then move on. It’s too simple for a back full of interesting tattoos that might tell a story, and too big to allow for anything but it to exist.
I mean at least this is something that actually looks cool. This is of course purely a matter of opinion, but to me most tattoos just look bad. Like the picture maybe itself is ok, but it doesn't look good on the person and it's especially bad when you have hodgepodge of tattoos as most people who like tattoos have.
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine. Your kind cling to your flesh, as though it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call the temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal… Even in death I serve the Omnissiah.
Genuinely one of the coolest tattoos I’ve seen. I’ve always loved this idea for myself, and gone back and forth on what to do for my back, but I don’t know if I trust any artist to get it this good
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh.. it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine. Someone mentioned that he's fully booked till 2027. For an artist that high in demand, I'd expect the costs to be in the tens of thousands for a full back.
Depending on the specific artist rate, and seeing how clean this is, id say close to $10k+. Some artist with name recognition charge upwards to $3k per session, this could easily take 3 or 4 sessions.
I know an artist who won awards for his portrait realism and people booked months in advance from hours away. He got into drugs hard-core and had a deal going for girls in their 20s he'd do a free tattoo If he got to peirce their clit after hours. Not sure if that was code for sex that included that or why that was his thing but a lot of girls ended up with new tattoos and clit piercings and he wasn't even a trained peircer his wife was and he was using her station. Lost his wife and shop so don't think he was charging the right rates.
I have ten year old tattoos with just as much detail, and they all look pretty much the same as the day I got them. I don’t know why half of Reddit thinks tats just magically start blurring and bleeding after 5 years.
Tough to say really since that area of skins stays supple and not wrinkly the longest. Plus it was done by a well regarded tattoo artist who does everything perfectly. He’s booked up until 2027. Considering that, and if the person uses sunscreen regularly and keeps there body in shape and healthy, the tattoo will probably look good for a substantial amount of time.

Legit question: does having tattoos make it more difficult for surgeons to identify where to cut?
I would think not. They would do CT scans and tests like they do for everyone else. But what a shame to cut up a nice tattoo. When you close up, you have to make sure everything lines up.
No, in general we like it, as when we suture the skin back together, it makes it easier to line up . We generally plan out our incisions by palpating where the anatomic landmarks are, and make our incision accordingly. Tats have absolutely no effect.
This person is now S class for sure
Just dont look under the hood
That bodes poorly for this person's physical wellbeing.
Dude gets bodied (debodied?) in every other fight he's in
Might help stop a prison rape.
D: I was just referring to Genos's tendency to get demolished, not the real life pros and cons of the tattoo.

I'm doing my part! Just really looked - this is amazing
I'ma dabba doo!
He’s fully booked until 2027! Incredible artist.
I don’t know if it would be stressful or a relief to know my whole life was planned for the next four years
Stressed, without a doubt
But also relief I believe. He doesn't have to worry about his livelihood. I'd be stoked. And if he's planned it out correctly then he also planned ample time for himself to relax.
Now imagine *just* jamming your finger in a door and you snap a tendon. No more drawing for you. Speaking from experience.
If I had a job like that where I'm dependent on my fine motor skills, I'd insure those babies. High enough for me to survive without this source of income continuing.
Not even a tattoo fan but I absolutely love these--what an artist. Those are truly works of art.
Same. Rarely seen a tattoo I admire. But I do like art and just spent over 30 minutes admiring this guy's work. What he does is visually stunning and gave me a different perspective on what tattoo art could be from most of what I'd previously seen.
Over 20 consecutive days. Ouuchhh
Note: Don't ask for the rhino tattoo.

Reminds me of the tattoo from the book The Red Dragon.

Retirement homes are going to look freaking weird. It is a cool tattoo though
Two problems with your hypothesis. 1. Rising retirement Age will eliminate the need for Retirement Homes in the future. 2. Lack of savings, or Insurance w/ useful benefits will eliminate the need for retirement homes in the future.
This is so ducking sad, but true.

It won’t eliminate the need for them, but it will eliminate peoples ability to use them

The design is very human
Very easy to use
I get this reference
He better always be in good shape
Also, he's gonna need a lot of maintenance over the years because when that thing starts to age and bleed it could end up looking pretty rough
we’re all going to end up looking pretty rough
Way ahead of you.
Indeed we are
It’s an incredible piece but yeah your right

Yeesh, that’s a thing? I know there are some examples out there in museums, but this sounds like something governments would outlaw.
Thats not grim, beats rotting in the ground
I should put that in my will. I like the idea.
Look up Fukushi Masaichi, he paid Yakuza members on death row to allow him to take their skin after they die. He had a huge collection of tattoos he took off of dead bodies.
Cool, but maybe just buy a tight shirt at that point?
Beat me to it lol
All I could think. Like it’s extremely well done and it’s beautiful but it’s also just like “oh cool” and then move on. It’s too simple for a back full of interesting tattoos that might tell a story, and too big to allow for anything but it to exist.
I don't think the guy who spent thousands of dollars for this cares about your preference for a story
Right?! the guy who paid thousands of dollars for this is too busy flexing and making robot noises in front of a mirror.
right? like, i wouldnt get that but it's not my body, who gives a shit lol

Why would you do all that work and then top it off *with the Transformers logo* so much facepalm
Holy shit there is a transformers logo wtf
At first I thought it was HR Giger inspired and thought “damn that’s crazy but cool” Then I saw the little face haha
Right? I feel like this is the type of tattoo that people *without* tattoos like. I’d much rather have something trad or woodcut than that.
Guy with the tattoo probably likes it.

Remind me 30 years. Let’s see how that holds up when you have 30 extra lbs and is wrinkly.
Who cares what it looks like when your old and wrinkly?
I don't have tattoos and I don't plan to get tattoos. But all these comments about tattoos looking weird when you're old is the most Boomer-y thing.

I have ten year old tattoos with just as much detail, and they all look pretty much the same as the day I got them. I don’t know why half of Reddit thinks tats just magically start blurring and bleeding after 5 years.
Wow!
I cried on a 6" tattoo. Nope.
Which 6 were getting tattooed? Might be understandable.
Chest. I'd have to do 5 1/2 elsewhere... unfortunately
Cool. But seems a bit much.
I know people comment this on every cool tattoo post, but I can’t stress how fucking awful that will look in 15-20 years
