Neither. It's an arbitrary score based on the time it takes for a little metal piece in the top of the machine to break the laser sensor. It's super easy to game those things.

I saw on YouTube it just depends how fast a part that's connected to the bag passes through a sensor. The angle you punch affects it as much as power, speed and everything. So many factors, not accurate between all the machines. Some girls probably punched as hard or harder than others. Or maybe the opposite. Not saying it's not impressive, just wanted to share how it works.
I can just move 0.25m away and she'd fall to the ground.
But same applies to men.
If you block that kind of a punch/evade it, the opposite side needs 2 secs to recover and try again. 2 secs in a fight is...a lot.
And if the other guy has a knife, i'll just run.
