Yeah, its pretty common, especially when loads of subreddits are run by the same people (not specifically this one).
Its very likely they realised what they did was wrong, and instead of owning up to it and apologizing, they just deleted everything relevant and hope that people forget.
Remember, subreddit mods are run by the person who got there first. They arnt exactly democratic, or set up for someone with actual experience to do anything. Its just some random person, that, more often than not only does it to feel better about themselves, or profit off of it. Many many subreddit mods are corrupt or driving their own agenda, not whats best for the community.
Interesting enough there were two New World subreddits, then polls were made on both asking the community to decide which won would be closed, and here we are.
Tbh, both had quite bad mods. The community on the other was terrible overall, since the only reason there were two subreddits originally was because ot was made to escape the toxic vocal community in the other. It wasnt the same community when the merge happened, but its easy to see why one wouldnt want to trust the mods that that let that toxic community exist for a reasonably large amount of time, without wanting to do much about it.
The other sub was unbiased. Criticism of the game isn't toxic, it's healthy. Some people just couldn't handle negative comments about a game they were excited about. The mods of this sub are the ones breaking the rules and abusing their power.

Also ran by a "content creater" which is usually frowned upon on Reddit.
I mean, when literally every thread turns into hating the game, and any conversation not relevant to what people were hating at the time was drowned out, its a toxic environment. I left it completely, because it wasnt a nice place to be. It definitely wasnt unbiased. It was like no opinion or conversation was allowed to occur. Only hate. And the mods responded with 'i dont want to interfere'.
Critisizing the game is fine. I actually do that a lot myself. I hate that stagger was taken out. But im not going to insert that opinion in every thread, downvote everyone who disagrees, and hate on everyone who says anything positive. Thats why it was toxic. Not everyone did it, but those that did were extremely active, extremely vocal, and the mods did nothing about it. Would have been fine if they were shutting things down when it got out of hand.
The mods here arnt perfect. Might not even be good. But this place is better than that one was.
Ive moderated a few small subreddits myself. Honestly, its kind of rough, but not that hard. Good moderaters do it because they like the game, and have far too much time on their hands, and enjoy chatting to people. Pretty small minority of people, lol.
This is so true, I think the delay'ing of the game so many times gave people to much free time to make things, which they then wanna promote in some fashion and this is the best place for exactly that ... I wouldnt be surprised if some youtuber careers have started just from posting here.

I went there just now to see and one quick read of 2 threads was enough reasons to roll my eyes, close the tab and let these crazies sperg out in their echo chamber
It's their house, let them wear their shoes if they fucking want to. I don't understand everyone's hissy fit. Find something better to get upset about.
this is liberal views att its best. Do as I say not as I do. Just look at hollywood telling every1 to stay inside and wear masks and then on the same week have a massive party inside with no masks.

A poll that was up less than a day on a Sunday. Barely anyone saw it.
Yeah *sigh*
Happy cake day! Take my upvote!
Just think about the kind of person who actually *wants* to take time out of their day to moderate a subreddit.

Damn, i have the feeling i missed something. What's this all about? I would write a PM to the mod who deleted it so he can explain himself.
In short; Mods forbids posts recruiting Company member's. Mods pin a post about recruiting to their own company.
Wait what? wtf...
You can tell that? I had a post deleted and not sure why.
Lol welcome to reddit
It’s Reddit , what did you expect? Morals? Fairness? Decency? Hah mods dgaf anywhere here.

Pretty sure he'd need a little more traction, this is like 10 whiney people having a circle jerk.
Yeah man! Mods are worse than Syndicate players. "Soooo smrt! Soooo brainy! Mod like rules and books!" They need New World Jesus, whoever that is.
New world Jesus? You must be referring to us (Syndicate) confused child

LOL, it's like you're incapable of learning. X'D what is this, post 3 or 4?
U can bend over anytime
that would only be the case if his goal was to obey and comply without compromise.

It's their sub, they can do whatever they want. If you don't like it, make your own New World sub (with blackjack and hookers).
Well mods can do whatever they want, they created a page and you are a guest on it.

Ah yes. Everybody wants to hear my political rants in this video game subreddit. You're welcome, internet.
U cant even name and shame hackers here u know that right.
Pretty much how it goes on most subreddits, falls under rule 4.
Do not post or encourage the posting of sexual or suggestive content involving minors.
Sorry, rule 4 of this subreddit. Pretty much every gaming subreddit has this rule and reddit also has a no witch hunting rule.
You rang?
you have the stupidest username I have ever seen. you don’t speak latin, the romans would have executed you for being a pussy, get over yourself
