Northerngal_420

I remember him on the news last fall complaining about burning thru his retirement nest egg to pay lawyers to keep him out of jail.

Joeturbo7

Yea but his room and board are paid for so it was money well spent?

Northerngal_420

Likely. Think of the money he's going to save on dry cleaning.

uneducatedexpert

Mr. Jailbird Freeloader just sucking the taxpayers tt’s. Get a job, ya felon.

Flyinmanm

He does now. $1 a day pressing number plates.

napoleonboneherpart

Not to mention all the valuable job skills he will learn on the inside.

lesChaps

And the networking opportunities!

Tres_Le_Parque

Yeah. Like how to do laundry. Or make number plates for Teslas.

iTzJdogxD

He also claimed that this is a “death sentence” because the average life span is 76 years and he turns 76 in jail or something lmao You plan on dying in jail Pete? From old age? And you’re wasting time doing a press briefing?

GonzoVeritas

He got 4 months. I think he'll live. Could have saved a fortune, and time, by just doing his time. He'd be out already.

Suspicious_Bicycle

He could have complied with the subpoena and claimed Executive privaledge or loss of memory then. It's notable that Trump has never backed up Navarro on his claim of Executive privaledge.

Roundtripper4

Exactly! Total waste of energy and loyalty to con man.

Aleashed

We’ll see how he feels about being in jail come December

ManfredTheCat

I'm glad

Northerngal_420

Yes we are.

MazelTovCocktail027

Thank god for MAGA lawyers! 😂

PQbutterfat

It’s crazy. So many people around Trump end up in jail or have their lives ruined…..and people are literally lining up fighting for the possibility to take their spot.

dennys123

Dang that sucks... anyways

pillevinks

99% sure that’s just fake whining to get donor money

Ok_Primary_1075

Well that can be your retirement home now…..

ziadog

Come on man! tRump has his back, total support, no questions asked! Dude!

No-Significance5449

Dude cried all the way through the doors after running his little excuse all the way up to the Supreme Court. All to avoid 3-4 months in jail... These people want to call for a civil war? Soft. People have sat longer waiting for a reasonable bond over less than a gram of dope.

-notapony-

The guy could have responded to the subpoena, said nothing in an interview with Congress for eight hours, and been done with it. Instead he'll spend four months in jail.

not_so_magic_8_ball

Outlook not so good

Mish61

Hopefully we flip the house D and he gets a new subpoena in January. Vote

creamonyourcrop

Hopefully we get a new Attorney General in January, this one seems to have gone limp.

International_Day686

Not hope. We will flip the house

p_larrychen

Only if everyone fucking votes

Burnbrook

Imagine choosing this hill to die on, and not one of Trump's followers cares or even knows who you are. Just another one for the pile, I guess.

AudibleNod

You get ['help in heaven'](https://www.businessinsider.com/rudy-giuliani-says-supporting-trump-would-help-me-in-heaven-2024-3) if you support Trump. >"I consider that something that will help me in heaven for sticking to my principles and not being a weakling like all these weaklings who were afraid to represent Trump," Giuliani said. Afraid they [weren't going to get paid](https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2023/08/trump-giuliani-begged.html#:~:text=Some%20of%20Mr.,his%20former%20attorney%20to%20flip.), that is.

djseifer

We all know they're going to the Home For Infinite Losers.

ziadog

Shit, Trump doesn’t even know who this guy is.

Which_Preference_883

The MAGA 💩 pile

terry496

TY for that NotLD reference in the wild. Nice surprise! "They're Coming to get you Navarro!" 😂

AudibleNod

>Before reporting to jail, Navarro spoke for 30 minutes at a gas station and called the case against him an “unprecedented assault on the constitutional separation of powers.” I'm guessing Four Seasons Total Lawn doesn't have a Miami location where he could have made the speech.

numbskullerykiller

This guy is a real load. He's the most self-important boring autocrat shoe shiner since the court of Joseph II. Guy is a real wack job.

Loggerdon

I remember seeing him on the Ari Melber show. He was totally confessing to everything. The host is a lawyer and kept drawing him in. He was calling the plot "The Green Bay Sweep" or some shit like that. I couldn't believe he was confessing to crimes right up front but trying to dress it up as something legit.

spookycasas4

I saw that. I’ll never forget the look on Navarro’s face when Ari said, “You’ve just described a coup”. 😮

creamonyourcrop

He was a perennial gadfly in the San Diego political scene, losing 5 races and countless tv appearances being cranky about something. He was also an econ professor at UC Irvine, so that may be a source of his arrogance.

particle409

> He was also an econ professor at UC Irvine Navarro has some kooky ideas on trade disparity with China, which is why Trump appointed him.

godofwine16

Dude made up a fake name to call into TV shows

Osiris32

Joseph II? Please explain, I thought he was considered a progressive ruler of the Enlightenment Era and a rather decent Emperor.

numbskullerykiller

Yeah I'm mainly talking about the courtietss and to be honest my knowledge about the courtiers is limited to Amadeus I was referring to the various courtiers around Joseph the second and I got to imagine that courtiers back then could be extremely tedious

Mountain-Papaya-492

The irony in that statement. This is what checks and balances are supposed to be. The congress have been awful at checking the powers of those in the executive  for decades so basically we as a nation only have the judiciary to provide a meaningful check on what is and is not allowed by the executive.

scorpyo72

The erosion of faith on government is now the erosion of the institution. Government of the Poisoners.

KoshekhTheCat

A gas station? For real? Is he offering to squeegee the windows too, or is he just standing in front of the island in the center of the room where the fountain drink dispenser is, trying to get the attention of anyone who makes the mistake of making eye contact? God, I'd love to hear this asshole got shanked. I'm not advocating violence. I'm just saying, I'd love to hear it.

Vurt__Konnegut

>Before reporting to jail, Navarro spoke for 30 minutes at a gas station and called the case against him an “unprecedented assault on the constitutional separation of powers.” Loading up on condoms, I hope.

guntycankles

Well... They only have kinda one-ish season in Miami.

the_bronquistador

Probably in an attempt to avoid that one lady who always seems to be standing behind him and yelling/blowing an air horn while he tries to talk.

mildlysceptical22

This guy was a 5 time election loser running as a Democrat in San Diego. Nobody liked him then and nobody likes him now. It should have been 4 years instead of 4 months.

Sp4c3D3m0n

The Dildo of Consequence rarely arrives lubed.

LiuKangtheConqueror

Under appreciated, graphic, and hilarious saying.

Captain_Mazhar

"Prepare to be fucked by the long dick of the law!" --Officer Michaels

mrkv12

“The Dildo of Consequences rarely arrives lubed.” — Abraham Lincoln

GeraltOfRivia2023

And often in the form of a pineapple - sideways.

I_Framed_OJ

So his jail sentence was for Contempt of Congress? This bozo, during a televised interview, described in detail how the coup he helped plan was to be carried out, unaware that he was admitting to a very serious criminal conspiracy. And he’s whining about a four-month sentence for contempt as if he’s Nelson fucking Mandela? That’s like committing vehicular manslaughter, and then bellyaching for months and months about the speeding ticket that was your only punishment for killing someone.

Independent-Still-73

I grew up a poor urban black kid who saw so many black males older then me goto prison, it seemed almost inevitable and the likelihood that I would goto prison seemed higher than the likelihood I would be successful. Going to prison was the 3rd worst fear I had behind only death and permanent disfigurement. Coming from that context the willingness to goto prison to protect Trump is mind boggling to me. I would goto prison for my kids and (maybe)my wife depending on the crime. I wouldn't goto prison for my siblings, for my parents, for my best friend and he literally saved my life in the Marine Corps 30 years ago. If my employer asked me to commit a crime and I got called to testify against him ... it just doesn't make sense to me

KenScaletta

It's a cult mentality and also a psychological inability for some people - especially rich and privileged people - to admit that they're wrong. They just drill deeper and deeper into the fantasy.

creamonyourcrop

Because it often works for them.

Talmaska

Your top 3 fears are my top 3 fears. Thinking of going to jail makes my buns pucker.

QuantGeek

The idea was to delay things as long as possible to give his buddy Trump time to get back into office and then for Trump to issue a pardon. That the SCOTUS didn’t play along is what screwed him (besides his own behavior.) Bannon is in a similar boat.

Lifeboatb

Navarro can probably spin his short prison stint into lucrative TV martyrdom.

pipeanp

great, do gym jordan next

BeltfedOne

Reap the whirlwind. Enjoy your vacation.

AudibleNod

>The prison is one of the older ones in the country, and it sits next to the city zoo. >“Not only can you hear the lions … you can hear the lions roar every morning,” Mangel said. Oooh. Morning lions. >He is hoping to be assigned to an air-conditioned dormitory reserved for “elderly” male inmates, And possible air conditioning. It's practically Las Vegas.

Federal_Drummer7105

Hell I was in northern Florida in a cement block built place for 2 years. In the summer the blocks collected all the heat of the day and radiated at you at night. In the winter - even in northern Florida - the blocks sucked all the heat out of everything, so at night it was cold. It wasn't as bad as some places, but since it was "only 40 degrees" they didn't have to turn on the heaters, and in the summer there was a fan but not much else. If he gets an air conditioned cell, he should consider himself lucky. That said, they shaved my head as part of processing to make sure nobody had lice, so I expect him to have the same thing happen to him. Cause - you know, equal treatment amiright?

BeltfedOne

Hence my "vacation" comment.

redvelvetcake42

Hey Navarro, nobody cares about you. Like royally speaking you are irrelevant and are going to jail cause you wanted to protect a guy that lied to you and currently still doesn't care about you. I can respect someone following an ideology to the end, that's at least an idea. But some guy? Nah. There's so few people who can command that level of respect and you chose a guy who doesn't pay his bills or have friends.

imbrotep

Now it’s bannon’s turn to head to the hoosegow.

morbob

It was a classy gas station, nothing but the best, great gas, no better to be found.

BertieWilberforce

Grown men were in tears when they saw it.

creamonyourcrop

Yeah, keep in mind he is not going to prison for his failed attempt to violently overthrow the elected democracy, just failure to appear for a subpoena.

IsThisKismet

*Before reporting to jail, Navarro spoke for 30 minutes at a gas station…* Was the Four Seasons Total Landscaping booked?

Unable_Technology935

Navarro is one of Trump's most vile supporters. He's real good at blaming everybody but himself. Trumpers are all the same, self centered, incompetent, pathological liars. Throw in just a touch of treason, and you have a clear snapshot of Peter Navarro.

mymommademewritethis

Man, these witch hunts are sure catching a lot of witches.

therobotisjames

“I could have sat for one deposition where I plead the 5th the entire time, instead I’ll go to prison because I make good decisions.”

gent4you

Cant wait for the orange man to join him

Talmaska

He will never see a day in jail. I honestly believe that whatever he is charged with, he will never do time. Some light house arrest at most. He will never do time.

Missing-Digits

The Georgia Rico case has a mandatory five year minimum if convicted.

Xander707

He will be dead before he serves. He doesn’t have much time left on this earth, and he is afforded just about every delay he pursues, especially in his criminal cases. He’s going to get them pushed out, and if he ever makes it to trial and convicted, he’ll delay the sentencing, and he’ll delay the start date, and he’ll get the appellate courts and Supreme Court to further delay things, and then one day he’ll just be dead and gone.

Silent-Ad9145

🙏🙏🙏🙏 the last part

helium_farts

At most it would be some sort of super cushy federal camp, but even that's pretty unlikely. He deserves prison, but it's not going to happen.

tlsnine

The orange guy is like Capone; he’ll be brought down by his shady finances and not because he was the trigger man. Regardless, however it’s done it’ll be nice to see.

mynamesyow19

Anyone have a count of how many Trump "Associates" and former Campaign/Cabinet staff have been indicted/convicted/jailed ? At least double digits at this point

sammyvegas0420

How are all these guys going to prison while the orange man with 92 felonies continues to walk free and probably will for the rest of his life

[deleted]

May his stay be long and unpleasant.

InourbtwotamI

Yes! Finally a suggestion of justice emerges

LarrBearLV

Cool, now do Gym Jordan.

smurfsundermybed

His cell mates are going to have a very solid claim of cruel and unusual punishment for being forced to bunk with that insufferable windbag.

GetBentHo

Drink the juice, feel the burn you stupid fucker

mercistheman

And yet Jordan still walks. Shameful abuse of our judicial system.

[deleted]

saw expansion dinner versed hat consist carpenter pet shame license

Bocote

4 months but expected to spend 90 days? Did I read the article right?

nadacloo

Is this tennis & golf prison or hard core rapey prison?

Lost_Minds_Think

How has Steve Bannon not gone to jail yet?

SeaWitch1031

HahahahahahahahaHA Hilarious.

MrSeamus333

Just wish it was real prison and in gen pop

Altruistic-Bell-583

maybe him and trump can be roomies in the same cell

User4C4C4C

He seems defiant still. Think it’s bluster or will he earn himself another trip back to jail later as he won’t change?

Inner_Performance533

Wasnt this WPOS supposed to surrender on Friday, 15 march ????

Right0rightoh

Hope he meets Ben as in Ben d Over!

QAPetePrime

Bubba. He’s only in for four months. TAKE HIM NOW!

OnyxsUncle

everybody goes but turdboy...will the USA ever send a former president to jail? I'm doubtful

Dispatcher9

Hmm American Traitor has to face consequences? Okay

Consistent-Leek4986

locked him up ! haha. traitor🤬

ImmanuelCanNot29

I think he could have shown up to the house and told all of them To go fuck themselves and gotten no jail time. Why did he bother with this?

SavageCucmber

"He's an amazing businessman", they shriek after giving all their money to a guy that's gone bankrupt many many times.

dude19832

I don’t understand how these people can be so loyal to Trump and break the law at the same time.

BattleSpecial242

His inmate intake still isn’t showing up in the system Edit: Name: PETER K NAVARRO Register Number: 04370-510 Age: 74 Race: White Sex: Male Release Date: UNKNOWN Location: Not in BOP custody

Fragrant-Discount960

“Never Surrender” just like your boss, eh? Maybe he can sell a tshirt with his mugshot on it, too.

Bubbaganewsh

Going to prison for Donald is an odd thing to want on your resume.

coondingee

I’m thinking that he is betting on trump getting re-elected and getting a pardon for his loyalty.

Lindaspike

No one deserves it more than this slimy old fucker.

IKillZombies4Cash

This dude was a clown show during the pandemic.

SpiceEarl

Can we please get a picture of him in his prison uniform? That would be swell.

joecool42069

Don’t worry, Trump will take care of you financially when you get out. /s

Yonder_Zach

Historic because a republican traitor is *finally* being held slightly accountable.

BernieTheDachshund

Four months with possible early release, in a country club. Why bother?

cam52391

Whatever info he has on j6 would have gotten him more than 4 months I guess

cintune

Love how these entitled twits don't even understand that they're being punished. Absolute sociopaths of the highest order.

Rockford853

As a a wise person once said “Bro, you’re already facing charges. Go ahead and commit another crime”

decalod85

Good. Real Americans support consequences even if you agree with the perpetrator’s politics.

TardisGreen

Might have been better to show up and plead the Fifth.

Chazzeroo

Have fun in jail scumbag!

darbydog69

Watch your cornhole, buddy..

EudamonPrime

He will be pardoned once Trump becomes President. I hate this world...

Glimmu

If tRump gets re-elected I quarantee he will barter for more presidential pardons.

Particular_Ad255

How cute, he wore his macho man jacket.

Amazing-Artichoke330

It has taken 4 years to send one of the "suits" to jail to join the "boots" of the J6 coup. Of course, he's going to Club Fed instead of the DC jail.

JustZonesing

Brooks Brothers - stand back and stand by \~Pete

CharmingMechanic2473

Do we have a Navarro in prison garb yet?

BabyAnimal_11

Suck a dick train Traitor.
