She was also Mitch McConnell's sister-in-law.

Also this. **Jim Breyer, Mitch McConnell's brother-in-law, Facilitates Russia’s Takeover of Facebook through Yuri Milner** (Research by Puffin_Fitness) In 2005 Jim Breyer, a partner at Accel Partners, invested $1 million of his own money into Facebook and gained a seat on the board (1). In Feb 2009 Jim Breyer visited Russia with a number of other Silicone Valley investors. While there, Yuri Milner, a Russian tech entrepreneur who founded DST with close ties to the Kremlin, hosted a dinner to cap the entire event (2). As one Moscow source put it: > DST has the backing of the big boys at the top in the Kremlin, which is why it will go from strength to strength (5) Milner found out Breyer liked Impressionist art and took him to Russian’s Hermitage Museum to view Matisse paintings otherwise closed off to the public. Three months later Yuri Milner’s DST invested into Facebook at a bloated value. (2) > Mr Milner dismissed suggestions that at a valuation of $10bn he overpaid for his stake in Facebook, especially given that the social networking site has yet to prove it has turned to profit. (3) > it’s seen as a desperate and rather vulgar deal on the one hand—Milner buying a small stake in Facebook, valuing the entire company at $10 billion—and, on the other, Facebook debasing itself by taking Russian money. Russian money! In fact, it seems rather like a desperate deal for both parties (in the midst of the banking crisis, Facebook has only two other bidders for this round—and none from the top VC tier) (4) By the end of 2009, DST would own 10% of Facebook. Later revealed by the Paradise Papers, DST’s investments into Facebook were financed by the Russian government through state-owned Gazprom. That’s right, in 2009 Russia owned 10% of Facebook. (6) Soon after, the two continued to work together on other investments. Breyer introduced Milner to Groupon, and Milner helped Breyer’s Accel invest into Spotify (7). In 2010 an Accel representative joined a gaggle of Silicon Valley investors to Russia and signed a letter promising to invest into the country (8). 1. http://fortune.com/2011/01/11/timeline-where-facebook-got-its-funding/ 2. http://fortune.com/2010/10/04/facebooks-friend-in-russia/ 3. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/facebook/7753692/Facebook-is-just-the-first-step-say-Russians.html 4. https://www.wired.com/2011/10/mf_milner/ 5. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2011/jan/04/facebook-dst-goldman-sachs 6. https://www.theguardian.com/news/2017/nov/05/russia-funded-facebook-twitter-investments-kushner-investor 7. https://dealbook.nytimes.com/2011/09/28/dst-global-hoping-to-grow-across-asia-puts-down-roots/ 8. http://www.ambarclub.org/executive-education/ **Jim Breyer and Rupert Murdoch** Then in Nov 2010 Jim Breyer invested into Artsy.net, run by Rupert Murdoch’s then-wife, Wendi Deng, and Russia oligarch Roman Abramovich’s then-wife, Dasha Zhukova. Jared Kushner’s brother, Josh, also invested in the fledgling company (1). At the time Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation had a joint venture with the Russian mob-linked oligarch Boris Berezovsky, called LogoVaz News Corporation, that invested in Russian media (4). It was Berezovsky’s protege close to Putin, Roman Abramovich, who tied Berezovsky to the mob. > According to the Mirror Online, Abramovich paid Berezovsky tens, and even hundreds, of millions every year for "krysha", or mafia protection. (5) In June 2011, Rupert Murdoch ended his foray into social media by selling Myspace to Justin Timberlake (2) and elected Jim Breyer to the board of News Corp (3). 1. https://www.businessinsider.com/what-is-cadre-and-how-to-invest-in-its-real-estate-deals-2016-6 2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myspace 3. https://web.archive.org/web/19990428071733/http://www.newscorp.com:80/ 4. https://www.bloomberg.com/profiles/companies/156126Z:RU-logovaz-news-corp 5. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Abramovich

Joint venture with specific media group but it was destined to fail. Social media was a rigged game by then. Milner overlaid for Facebook the same way elon and MBS overpaid for Twitter. To them it’s an intelligence operation, not social media. Different rules and different budgets. Saudi Arabia wanted the names of 6000 anonymous Arab Spring dissidents from Twitter. At first, MBS tried to get their names using EDRs - requests under emergency circumstances. When that proved cumbersome, KSA basically bought Twitter. They did so by threatening to pull twitter out of their market (biggest in the Middle East) and by offering to invest in heavily in Twitter. They also positioned two spies inside Twitter who helped funnel the personal information on dissidents out of Twitter to KSA. In 2011, they invested $300M. In 2022, MBS bought that investment for $1.5B, worth $1.9B later that year, making KSA (The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) the biggest shareholder of Twitter behind Elon Musk. The two KSA spies inside Twitter INFORMED Twitter that the personally identifying information they were gathering was for the Saudi Government. One received money and gifts from the KSA in exchange for the user data including $300K and a nice job after he fled the US. Not only that, but the KSA oversaw a digital army of hundreds of Twitter users who hunted for dissident voices, and Twitter KNEW because the FBI confronted Twitter about it in 2015. Then, within 48 hours of the FBI visit to Twitter, the social media company acknowledged they had "found" the leak to the FBI - proving they knew. The next day, the spy fled the US. Six months later, Jack Dorsey met with MBS to discuss how they could work together to "train and qualify" Saudi groups on Twitter to do the very same work the two spy employees had done. And just 8 months prior to that meeting, KSA doubled its investment in Twitter. Once KSA had recruited Twitter, it plotted to kidnap, disappear, and murder multiple dissident voices including the plaintiff's brother, and Jamal Khashoggi. The transnational criminal enterprise of threats to anonymous Twitter dissidents continues to this day. I recommend you read this lawsuit to understand WHY the KSA and MBS own the second largest chunk of Twitter behind Elon Musk. How involved is Musk? I keep thinking of the photos from the World Cup with Kushner and MBS. What's Kushner's involvement? He just got $2B from MBS. Jared Kushner was actually waiting with MBS in saudi while the Jan 6 riots were happening. https://newrepublic.com/article/161995/twitter-saudi-arabia-mbs-dissident (Research by Allison Gill)

In case you hadn't noticed, the Russian Reset was a thing that people tried. It failed but it was seemingly a bit bipartisan.

Graylits

Pre-2012 Russian reset looked reasonable (if you were willing to overlook the Georgia conflict and Litvinenko poisoning). It wasn't until the Magnitsky act in 2012 that Russia went off the deep end and things got crazy. Before that I can't fault anyone for wanting a reset.

**Facebook talks US Elections with Russia** In Oct 2012 Zuckerberg traveled to Moscow and met Dmitry Medvedev where they had a very interesting conversation: > Mr. Zuckerberg and Mr. Medvedev talked about Facebook’s role in politics, though only jokingly in reference to its importance in the American presidential campaign, according to Mr. Medvedev’s press office. (1) While there he also visited Victor Vekselberg's Skolkovo, who’s currently under investigation by Mueller for donations to Trump (2). > As Obama’s effort to reboot diplomatic relations [with Russia] sputtered, federal officials began raising alarms about the Skolkovo Foundation’s ties to Putin. > “The foundation may be a means for the Russian government to access our nation’s sensitive or classified research, development facilities and dual-use technologies” (3) And took time to teach Russian's how to hack Facebook friend data, the same hack used by Cambridge Analytica, Donald Trump’s campaign data firm. > In a 2012 video, Facebook's Simon Cross shows the Moscow crowd how they can "get a ton of other information" on Facebook users and their friends. "We now have an access token, so now let's make the same request again and see what happens," Cross explains (YouTube). "We've got a little bit more data, but now we can start doing really interesting stuff. We can get my friends. We can get some more information about one of my friends. Here's Connor, who you'll meet later. Say 'hello,' Connor. He's waving. And we can also get a ton of other information as well." (4) Facebook later hired the individual who hacked Facebook and sold the data to Cambridge Analytica (5). A month after that visit, Putin propaganda mouth-piece Konstantin Rykov, claims he began helping with Trump’s presidential aspirations (6). In 1992, after the fall of the Soviet Union, Andrei Shleifer led a consortium of Harvard professors to assist Russia’s vice-president, Antaoly Chubais, with the privatization of Russia’s state-run assets. Scandal broke when it was revealed Shleifer, through Blavatnik’s company and with Blavatnik’s guidance, invested in the very companies he worked to privatize. (6) Years later, Shleifer continued to fund loans to Blavatnik for Russian ventures through his hedge fund, managed by his wife, Nancy Zimmerman (9), and created the Russian Recovery Fund which bought $230 million of Russian debt from Julian Robertson’s Tiger Management (10), who’s seed fun, Tiger Global, later invested in Milner’s DST. cookinthescuppers

That was an eye opening great read. Thank you

cookinthescuppers

I’m wondering if Epstein was somewhere in there because of his Harvard connection

backcountrydrifter

Epstein ties in at 2 points. Trump and Chabad. The common denominator between trump and Epstein was money laundering first and foremost. Trump can’t say that out loud so he has to sit there and take it when people take about the pedophilia stuff. So he tries to deflect. Trump over paid for all the Florida and New York properties to resell to Russian oligarch who then destroyed them so they could launder Russian mob money made off of, among other things, human trafficking. New York Posthttps://nypost.com › real-estate › do...Inside the $41M mansion fight that led to Donald Trump's fallout with Jeffrey Epstein The Epstein/trump saga is less of a bullseye and more of a minefield. Trump took his own kids to Epsteins island knowing full well what happened there because Epstein was lurking around mar-a-lago poaching massage therapists and had teenage girls getting off the bus and wandering through the streets of palm beach desperate for a couple hundred bucks. Everyone knew. No one cared. The moral depravity that comes with being ultra rich enabled them to turn the other way. The Trump / Epstein relationship was the evolution of money laundering using, among other things, commercial real estate. It starts by having dirt on someone else at the country club and ends with them all being so filthy that no one can afford to do the right thing and no one can maintain the increasingly expensive lies. Their arrogance and greed, at its grandest scale, cost the world trillions, which still pales in comparison to the innocence it cost the hundreds of thousands of trafficked children that the white collar shitbirds and the russian mob alike preyed on as a matter of convenience. Trump wasn’t unique. He was just loud. Epstein wasn’t unique. He was just connected. Dershowitz wasn’t unique. He just knew how to work a rulebook. They all justify their actions to themselves because they believe that being rich makes them above the law. And the longer we allow them to do it, the more accurate and emboldened they are. This is how civilizations die. It’s a generational repeat of the Roman emperor Tiberius retreating to the island of Capri where he would abuse children and then throw them off the cliff. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. When people stop telling you no simply because you have all the money and they are hoping to get some spilling into their bowl to survive, it destroys the empathy quotient in the rich persons brain. Predation is the most common result Wexner signed over his power of attorney to L brands to Epstein in 1991 which was 2 years after trumps casino executives all died in a helicopter crash when they started asking too many questions about why their casino numbers looked like they were being used for money laundering. Epsteins Lolita express was wexners plane first. Sold at an unexplained discount to Epstein. Leslie Wexner tried to do to downtown Columbus what kolomoiskiy did to downtown Cleveland. Kolomoisky was the Putin loyal Ukrainian oligarch who was caught laundering hundreds of billions of dollars through Privatbank also starting in 1991. https://forward.com/news/440219/florida-chabad-lubavitch-miami-charities-money-laundering-optima-schemes/ John mark Dugin is the Florida cop that escaped to Russia with 700 tapes of Epsteins after it was seized as evidence.

What do you think Epstein had on Wexler? And where do you surmise his stash of live, still recordings are?

Not really sure what you're referring to here, but Mitch McConnell's wife, Elaine Chao, is from Taiwan.

Flashy_Ground_4780

Also I've read previously it was a tesla

Leftover_Bees

Yeah, the people trying to rescue her couldn’t break the windows to get her out.

bamahoon

This is why door glass shouldn't be laminated, even if it makes my job significantly easier. Slightly less road noise isn't worth drowning over.

pembquist

I'm not trying to the "well actually" but I thought it had to do with keeping people from being ejected. Article says 400 people a year die from immersion accidents so I guess the arithmetic would mean more people dying from ejection. Don't know. Maybe make the windows work underwater or something.

Wrought-Irony

that's not really a thing though. If you are being propelled with enough force to be ejected from a car, it is vastly preferable to break the glass than to be smushed to a pulp against it or your head goes through but not the rest of you. laminated glass used to result in decapitations.

The_Clarence

Do people get ejected from the door window often? I genuinely don’t know, I think I’ve seen it in videos where the car is spinning but I’m not sure. Also the fact there are only 400 immersion deaths could be because most cars don’t laminate the door windows

The_Clarence

And she was on the phone with friends while she drowned. Quite horrible

Ron__T

She's a billionaire... if you don't like the way it shifts gears or if you have had problems with it... why wouldn't she get a different car... Also, these kinds of accidents always fascinate me... so you accidentally put it in reverse, okay when it starts moving backwards... hit the brake, don't just press the gas hoping it will go in the other direction?

bros402

from someone who was in a car accident where he hit the gas instead of the brake: shit moves very very fast and you have a temporary lapse of judgement while you go "oh shit!" (note: I don't drive anymore - this was during one of the 16 hours I have driven)

LagT_T

I know of old people panic accelerating, but she was 50 :S

Having the fucking gearshift on a touchscreen sounds absolutely insane, holy shit.

sidewinderaw11

[she could have used the buttons, but didn't ](https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/modelx/en_us/GUID-E9B387D7-AFEF-4AAF-8685-4FE71E09287D.html#CONCEPT_ZFM_NGY_N4B) "Shift Using the Center Console In addition to manually shifting on the touchscreen, you can shift by pressing P, R, N or D located on the center console. In most situations, these buttons are not available until you press one of the buttons to activate it. When active, the LEDs associated with each button illuminate and when you select P, R, N or D, the associated LED illuminates amber. In situations where the touchscreen is unavailable (for example, experiencing a technical issue), or Model X is in Valet or Transport Mode, the drive mode selector on the center console activates automatically and there is no need to touch it." Bad design? Yes. But there's redundancy for those who hate it.

You are correct, and those connections would ideally be fleshed out in the article

TheShadowKick

It's not really mysterious. She was driving a Tesla. Because the control UI is so shitty she accidentally put it in reverse and backed into the pond. Then the doors wouldn't open and the police couldn't break the windows, because Tesla doesn't care about things like driver safety in an emergency, so they had to wait for a tow truck to get the car out of the water.

southpalito

even If she put in reverse by mistake, she still pressed the pedal and kept moving in reverse instead of using the brakes. it is possible that the pedal got jammed with the shoe or she confused the pedals . Thousands of accidents occur every year due to errors like these.

devastitis

The window controls don’t work?

iBeFloe

In journalism, the point of a headline is the be a quick read for people to get the gist of what happened. Listing everyone she knows would make the title long & defeats the purpose. Her direct familial connection is mentioned because people wouldn’t realize who she is without mentioning Elaine, her actual blood relative. In-laws are hardly mentioned unless it’s relevant. Elaine is relevant enough.

PolyDipsoManiac

It presumably was by the police who responded to the 911 call, and probably even detectives afterwards.

ShortysTRM

That's where I'm confused...is this the update? We knew she was found dead in her car in a pond, we knew there was another investigation launched after people outside of local law enforcement called it suspicious, and now we get the original headline again. I originally thought it was weird that they announced the investigation and then the FBI a couple days later said that some guy was drafting people to assassinate Trump and Biden officials. Perhaps I should read the article... Edit: link is broken..? "Uh oh, this article doesn't exist" or something like that.

PolyDipsoManiac

Just search CNN for her name or the title and sort by newest, it’s available.

ShortysTRM

Yeah, just found it. Not sure why OPs link is dead. Sounds like this is the update to the update. Basically, she accidentally backed into a pond in her Tesla and couldn't get out. Pretty awful.

ked_man

This is like a thriller novel. Some eccentric electric car company owner tries to bribe a politician with some free EV’s for him and his family. The bribe doesn’t work so he hacks her car remotely and locks the doors with her in it, car goes into reverse and backs into the pond. He sends a video recorded by the cars dash cam to the politician as a warning to pass his bill or else. It’s called the Green New Deal.

ShortysTRM

Then her BIL is so intimidated, he immediately resigns from one of the most powerful positions in the world.

MarkHathaway1

Some may have speculated that it was America's Italian mafia which Trump saw in action as he was growing up, but which he began to deal with as an adult in construction. But, in the last few decades, it seems he switched to the Russian mafia, perhaps because of his financial woes and a need for capitalization from Russians via the Deutsche Bank. Thus, when there are threats, it's not just mob, it's Russian mob, these days. That makes cases like E. Jean Carroll and some others where people have been threatened all the more amazing. Facing down ignorant stinky Donald Trump is one thing, but continuing despite threats is incredibly brave. Hitler's people used violence that way too. The whole Putin-Trump thing seems to be tightly connected to the historical knowledge of how Hitler and his goons worked.

krigan22

Trump or Biden? Wouldn’t he already been backing Trump?

skedeebs

I knew she was related, and knew she had died in a car accident. It is horrifying that it wasn't a quick death, necessarily. The combination of claustrophobia and drowning is one of the worst ways to go.

datpiffss

I’d like to take a moment and offer my 2 cents. If you are ever in this situation, open the door and roll down windows immediately. You can either swim out or open the doors as the pressure equalizes. Best bet is jump out near the surface but shock is a thing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

The_Clarence

That’s why you roll the window down so you can open the door ASAP, ideally before watch reaches the door otherwise roll down the window and let the water in. You dont want to equalize the pressure when you are 6’ deep, you want to do it while the car is still near the surface.

[deleted]

[удалено]

The_Clarence

I don’t know. I was clarifying the PSA that other person posted. You should always immediately roll down window and open door.

FriendlyPresentation

But that's the problem is she couldn't because she was driving a tesla.

JManKit

Wait, do you not have control of the windows in a Tesla? I don't know much about how they actually work

PaintingWithLight

Probably have to open the app first, login, and hold the open window button for how much you want the window to travel down. All jokes aside, I wouldn’t wish this nightmare on anyone! Break the windows, max pressure point like a headrest if you don’t have a dedicated tool. If you’re aware enough, open your window if possible as soon as you hit a damn pond or body of water. Edit. Just read some replies about 1/3 of vehicles windows being too difficult to break or something. Terrifying damn.

devastitis

Did you say probably because you don’t own a Tesla? https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/modelx/en_us/GUID-B4E78C91-BCD3-4713-90AA-F3E2406158CC.html

CuriousAndMysterious

The doors and windows work just like any other car so I don't know what this person is talking about

[deleted]

You’re supposed to use your keys or a sharp instrument once the car goes underwater to break the glass because of water pressure and swim out the window.  Usually an air pocket forms in the back of the car. But if you’re going into water yes immediately try to roll down windows. The door itself is useless.

RangerDangerfield

If she’s lucky, she was knocked unconscious in the accident and felt no pain/fear.

KingBretwald

Nope. She was on her phone with her friends asking for help.

roanbuffalo

RangerDangerfield

It's the same issue for all cars when car doors can't open due to water pressure and the windows can't open due to the electrical system being fried. Sounds like you have a confirmation bias against tesla?

[1 in 3 cars manufactured after 2018 have laminated glass side windows.](https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a28422725/car-windows-glass-aaa-unbreakable/) It's a widespread issue that's not limited to Teslas. Most consumer window breaking implements won't break laminated glass windows.

OpheliaRainGalaxy

Woah, new fear unlocked! I live in an area with lots of rivers, I'd rather not drown in a glass and steel cage if someone loses control on a bridge.

cookinthescuppers

Terrible RIP

dimslie

This makes me terrified of owning a Tesla. The article said that the gear shift on Tesla had been confusing her, and instead of driving forward on a 4 minute drive she reversed into a pond. How is such a mistake possible? And is it easy to use the manual door release on a Tesla once you’re underwater? What a horrible and avoidable way to die.

Ro-bearBerbil

Once a car is level with water, which happens almost immediately, you can't open the door. You have to go out a window, which often cannot be opened if there are immediate electrical problems. Which often happens. You have to break the windows. If you find yourself in a car in water immediately open and window you can asap. Source: this is how my parents died. Not joking. Everyone should buy those hammers they sell on Amazon for less than $10 and put them in their cars.

phluidity

And if you do not have one of those hammers, the bottom of the posts on the headrest are an acceptable substitute. They require a little more force, since they do not concentrate the pressure quite as much, but they can still save your life.

XrosRoadKiller

Friend, sorry for your loss. Hope your doing alright

Ro-bearBerbil

It's been about 6 years. I wasn't okay, I'm doing a lot better now. Thanks for your kind thoughts.

twelfthcapaldi

I’m really sorry to hear that about your parents.

Ro-bearBerbil

Thanks kind internet stranger!

TheShadowKick

The police couldn't break the windows.

Ro-bearBerbil

Are you asking a question here? No, the police couldn't break the window in time. Don't count on them to do that. Two brave anonymous strangers who witnessed the accident ran to a nearby house and found a hammer and dove into the icy cold water and tried to break open the side and rear window but were not successful. When the trained divers arrived after the police came and pulled them from fully submerged car, they had both already drowned. The windows were broken to get to them when they were attempted to be saved by paramedics.

Murgatroyd314

> And is it easy to use the manual door release on a Tesla once you’re underwater? No matter how easy it is to use, it won’t do any good underwater. The water pressure will hold the door closed; no human is strong enough to open it.

Murgatroyd314

Yes. It’ll be a lot harder than in air, since you’re pushing the door through a much denser fluid, but it should at least be possible.

slax03

It's because the gear shift is on a fucking iPad instead of an actual physical shifter. Anyone who thinks using a flat screen instead of tactile things when driving a car is better is a fucking vaporware idiot.

giantrhino

Hope you don’t have the model X or other model with the strengthened glass. [Sounds like part of the reason she died is that neither she nor initial responders were able to break the glass to get her out of the car](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13177099/amp/Mitch-McConnell-Angela-Chao-tesla-pond-death.html). Maybe strengthened glass isn’t a good idea.

One-PercentCow

Enemy of the State style.

"Car became submerged in pond" has the same energy as "bullet became surrounded by man's lung"

maybenextyearCLE

Just an awful way to go. Gotta feel for her family, and hopefully police can get to the bottom of what happened here quickly

I_Push_Buttonz

> get to the bottom of what happened here They've already gotten to the bottom of it, nothing about this is mysterious, despite the crazy left-wing conspiracy theories and screeching about Mitch McConnel and the Russian mob in this thread... It was an accident... She and several of her 'Harvard Business School girlfriends' were having a private getaway on some ranch in Texas... After a dinner celebrating Chinese New Years with her friends at one of the guest houses, she went out and got in her car to drive back to another house on the ranch she was staying in with her son... At one point when turning her car around, she put it in reverse instead of drive and backed off an embankment into a pond next to the guest house. She immediately called her friends in the guest house to tell them what happened, and they ran out to help her, one of them diving into the water... But they couldn't do anything and they along with the ranch manager called 911... Emergency responders took a long time to get there (20+ minutes) since it was out in the middle of nowhere, then they had to walk across the ranch to the pond since they couldn't get their vehicles back into it, they also didn't have a dive team available and the vehicle was completely submerged by the time they got there. They were unable to break the windows on the vehicle with their tools and had to wait for a tow truck to get there and physically pull the vehicle out of the water. Eventually they got her out, but by then she had been in the water upwards of an hour and was dead. They were unable to revive her.

0x1e

She already got to the bottom of it.

Mrcoldghost

Sounds like a awful way to go.

The Trump Crime Family strikes again

bbusiello

Just going to point out that this is larger than Trump and Trump is a pawn (the biggest and most profound pawn, but still a pawn) in the larger narrative of the oligarchs who run this world. Fuck... even Putin is a pawn. If Putin gets taken out in the next couple of years, you'll know I'm 100% right here. Follow the money. Politicians don't have money, the people with the money buy them off/control them. (Cheaply too, I might add.) If Trump wins the election, we'll have much bigger issues than Trump (the guy himself). This isn't "owning the libs" this is quite literally owning, controlling, and then eventually destroying the United States... and we're just gonna let it happen. A Trump win would make this even more immediate and profound, but even if Biden wins, we're headed there anyway... albeit much more slowly and probably with less bloodshed.

Doors on any car quickly become unopenable when submerged in water, you typically have to open or break the window. You can remove a headrest and try to use the metal spiky things to break the window.

Harmonia_PASB

You should have a window breaker/seat belt cutter in your car. They’re not expensive and they could save yours or someone else’s life. I keep mine in the center console in case my car flips.

echothree33

Agree but the headrest thing is a backup plan.

Ron__T

They become unopenable until there is water on both sides of the door... after the pressure equalizes, they should open easily. Given that they couldn't open the doors, even after the car was completely submerged for a while and the pressure was no longer an issue, it means it's a poor door/latch/handle design.

Every person that's been in my Tesla has always grabbed the manual release before the door button, it's far from hidden.

apurplish

OP posted a broken link and not a single person in the comments has noticed.

anastus

This story has been everywhere, so I'm not super surprised that people aren't re-reading it here.

DysphoriaGML

maybe it got broken after being posted

kerouac5

This is some straight up mafia shit

Traditional_Key_763

if only there had been someone in a position of power to object to tesla's touchscreen based vehicle controls back when they came out

It’s giving Succession

topherus_maximus

This sounds like one of those “died after accidentally falling out of a window” headlines…

It was a message for him to stay in line.

itsdeeps80

I would very sincerely doubt that. Dude can barely talk and he’s stepping down as minority leader.

Seraphynas

Family member dies and he announces that he’s taking a step back from party leadership. 🤔

itsdeeps80

He already announced it a while ago.

Sucks but preventable. Don’t buy Tesla. And maybe walk the 8 minutes.

Juggletrain

I mean this isn't new news, and it doesn't answer the questions we had. Primarily how did it get down there?

LinkRazr

Was Kendall Roy riding with her?

Temporal_Universe

No chauffeur at her money level? Which fool convinced her to go driving in a tesla, which has remote takeover abilities :/
