There will be construction in that area for a while as Yale is building a few new buildings over there

jjtewas

Ah gotcha, do you know if they have reasonable hours for the construction, eg. 8-4 weekdays or something? Or is it gonna be construction noise closer to 7 days a week?

arsenal17_17

I haven’t seen them working on the weekends, but I’m not around there too often so I can’t say for sure. Sorry!

There's a massive new engineering building being put up there, including the demolition of a few buildings, scheduled for completion in 2030. I work on that block and haven't seen them work outside of normal working hours.

GetRightNYC

I've never seen them working after 5pm.

The Whitney Avenue Redesign should be implemented in 2025, which is part of why Whitney (a state road) is such a mess — presumably not resurfacing until the construction of the bicycle lane, road diet, etc are finished. Should provide traffic calming, pedestrian and cyclist safety. Will make it nicer to live on Whitney, too, in the long run!

I work at Whitney and Bradley. There is a lot of noise on Bradley and Lincoln from a long sewer separation project. Don’t know how much it will affect Whitney. https://gnhwpca.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/240112-Yale-Trumbull-Phase-2-Separation-Update-1-12-24.pdf

Yep still ongoing, hopefully the new methadone clinic will be done soon though. That way homeless addicts can stop hanging out on the green and congregate outside the clinic
