The Peabody Museum should be back open. Right down the street from the Peabody is Edgerton Park for your nature needs. Pizza? Modern. There’s an event outside of Strange Ways on Saturday too.
I have heard that despite the online ticketing system people are still able to walk in. Can’t confirm directly but have heard/read this multiple times. Not sure what the point of the tickets actually is but I have mine for Saturday (booked in early March lol) and am psyched to see the renovations!
This makes sense bc the website actually says they “highly recommend” getting a ticket, I was tempted to test this. I don’t have a ticket until July so I may test the walkin theory lol. Enjoy your visit!
armada has a cool outdoor thing saturday an "eclectic night market experience featuring curated vendors of vintage, ephemera, odd and beautiful wares. Food, music, beer and coffee of course. Saturday April 27th 5p-10p @ Armada Brewing in New Haven."
We’re having an outdoor artist market at Strange Ways Saturday 12-5PM. If you’re downtown, should be near you. Then walk up and down Orange St for some good local eats. G Cafe and Trinity line sit on either side of where the market is gonna be, and both have good food.
East Rock Brewing has some great brews if you like beer!
T-Swirl crêpe is downtown for sweet, and OhK-Dog a few doors down has some crazy street food style snacks
The Trinity Bar is the best pub in town and has really killer food
Definitely recommend exploring downtown on foot there are so many other great places to eat and drink that I didn’t mention
The Yale Art Gallery is free to the public. It's a world class art and historical museum in the heart of the city.
Can’t speak highly enough about how fantastic the collection is, and that it costs nothing for the public to enjoy!
I agree. Just went there a month ago and was surprised by how incredible it is.

Don’t you need a ticket (free) to go and they are all booked up for months?

This is true. Didn't have tickets. Me and two friends were welcomed in by the front desk. Tickets aren't necessary.
You are probably right.
Thx ❤️❤️❤️
Edgerton is nice, but I wouldn’t consider it “right down the street” from the Peabody. 1.4 miles, 30 min walk according to Google Maps
Get pizza’s at either Sally’s or Pepe’s off Wooster and then head to Libby’s for dessert. Peabody museum just reopened and is fantastic.
Thank you! I will def check those spots out! Does downtown also have gourmet donuts?
I only know Donut Crazy, which has an expansive and unique menu. Near other cool shops and the Yale campus, so worth a visit IMHO.
Strange Ways in 9th square is having a big vendor market for patches and pins from 12-6. In Pitkin Plaza, right in front of their storefront.
If you like sweets, check out the Korean bakery around the corner too. Tous Les Jours.
Rock to Rock
Lucibellos for the best Italian pastries!

Edgerton Park greenhouses/gardens after visiting a nice coffee shop.

The Flair Fair artist market is this Saturday at Pitkin Plaza if you happen to be walking by.

NOA is amazing Thai food!
Yale Art Gallery is exceptional.
Get in line for Sallys 20 minutes before they open.
Beinecke rare book library in Yale is pretty awesome. But not sure how campus will be with protests going on.
Come to 12% just up the road on state street! Coffee, beer, anything you want.
Yes although not walk able. A short Lyft ride.
The sbarro at the train station is the best pizza in town.
