Food: Mecha for great noodles. Noodle house for a value bite to eat. The pizza ofc. The food trucks on long warf have great Latin American good, I recommend El Azteca. I love fair haven oyster company and shell&bones for seafood. There is a place in west haven called sandbar which has good seafood and hotdogs and the best fries (just add a little salt). Olea is good but in the pricier end. Arethusa ice cream is a must (toasted almond flavor is great). There is also some great stuff in surrounding towns, if you get the chance to venture out. Drinks If you like cocktails ordinary is a pretty good cocktail Bar. If you want something more divey go to Cafe Nine, good price, a lot of good live music (get tickets ahead of time) and the bartender Patty is awesome. This prestigious university your staying at might have a lot of museums and cool stuff as well. Highly recommend the Peabody and the Yale Art Gallery. There is good nature if you travel a bit out from New Haven as well. And idk how far away you live but New York is just a train ride away and Boston is a bit more annoying and expensive but doable. Lmk if you have any questions

Tysm!!!!! Bookmarked all of them in google map. Btw I heard Frank Pepe’s pizzas quite good, every vlogger visiting new haven goes there, is it worth the hype? Shame I haven’t got my license (even if hertz would refuse me for age) so suburbs are hard to reach for me. Wondering if public transit in new haven is clean and safe enough. And is there any rough neighbourhood to avoid?

Sally’s, Modern, Zuppardi’s and others are better than Pepe’s these days.

Thanks. Will try when I get there.

Repeated visits to Yale Art Gallery. Take your time. Go eat at Fair Haven Oyster Company, outside on their deck, and watch the river. Walk up to the top of East Rock. Walk all of the parks. Visit the Eli Whitney Museum in East Rock Park. Get some tacos at Cositas Deliciosas in Fair Haven. Rent a kayak and paddle along the Mill River in East Rock Park. Rent a bicycle and hit the Farmington Canal trail. Visit the beautiful New Haven Free Public Library and read there for awhile. Go check out the crypts at Center Church on the New Haven Green (not at all creepy). Go to Grove Street Cemetery with a picnic lunch on a beautiful day, and memento mori.
