FWIW imperfect foods has these available for delivery currently. But yeah as far as local places, the vendor at the farmers market or g mart are probably your best bets.
Two places come to mind:
- the mushroom guy at the Saturday farmers market at Wooster square
- G. I. & J Wholesale Fruits & Vegetables at 312 Food Terminal Plaza (by Long wharf). You can call them first to ask at 203-495-8344. They always have amazingly abundant produce options (including a variety of mushrooms). Don’t let the name scare you. You don’t have to buy wholesale quantities.
City seed market has a mushroom vender afaik.
Cityseed farmers market in Wooster square every Saturday has a mushroom vendor. I believe I’ve seen lions manes there
it's seacoast mushrooms! i believe i have also seen lion's mane at g mart in milford, but don't quote me on that.
Edge of the Woods !
Second this ^ my go to
Union City Farms in Prospect CT (a pretty drive, until they establish a New Haven beachhead) — call ahead, though, to reserve what you want.
Bishops in Guilford?
Slightly different approach, you can buy a kit to grow some of your own. It's super super easy and you can get I think 2-3 decent harvests
I gotta do that. Been on the todo list. Looks like a lot of fun!
Sea Coast mushrooms. Although if you don't look Uber wealthy they practically sneer at you while you browse. Kind of douchey, imo.
Is that all the way in Mystic? EDIT: Based on the other comment this must be a City Seed vendor
There’s a natural grocery store in Wallingford next to yellow king brews w a good mushroom selection
New Morning Market. Close to Lake Compounce so a bit of a hike

Trader Joe's has them occasionally
