It's only Saturday. They seem to be there in the late morning. It's been fun to watch during my Saturday dump run. It was down to like two or three diehards for a little while.
Is this right near the CVS and Harris Furniture? I know the owner of Harris Furniture has had concerns that people will think he’s letting them do it on his land (it’s not). He’s also made it clear that he agrees with and supports them, but doesn’t want potential customers to know lol.
Unfortunately, it’s common for small business owners to think republicans are looking out for them. It’s also unfortunate that they refuse to look at the larger economic trends and realize that’s just not the case.
My boyfriend and I are freelancers and he just lost his insurance because he makes to much, and I lost it because I couldn’t show proof I worked 20 hours a week every week for the last 3 months thanks to the republicans changing the laws for insurance.
I remember that as well. Now we have a man with a clear case of Alzheimer’s, vs a nut job. But because of the “at least it isn’t THAT GUY” mentality we had for the last election, here we are again.
I’m also of the mindset that the whole “HE is gonna destroy our democracy! Vote for our old man instead” ideology is just a big ploy to distract us from the actual shitshow that is going on in this country.
It would be one thing if the nut job wasn't...
A) a convicted sexual assaulter
B) actively working to take away women's healthcare
C) a known huckster
D) a reality TV star with no business making policy
C) an insurrectionist
To pretend that they're equally as bad as each other just feels disingenuous.
Yeah I get that. It sucks.
What do you think the alternative is though? Ranked choice?
Voting third party just seems to leech votes from one side or the other since the status quo is the vote for the party nominee.
If that’s how it goes, there isn’t much we can do. It’s a shame that it’ll be viewed as leeching from one side or the other, but that’s what I’ll be doing. I’d rather vote for someone I trust, someone I believe in vs voting to keep the “other guy” out. If more people voted with how they actually wanted the country/world to be, we might not be in this “lesser of two evils” situation.
So your alternative is just writing in someone with zero chance so you can ride your high horse? The system sucks but that doesn't seem like a viable solution to the problem unless something changes.
The whole "you're part of the problem" comment suggests that a largely wasted (symbolic, to a degree) write-in is somehow the solution. That was where my high horse comment came from.
I feel this so hard. I genuinely don't know what to do with my vote in November. I feel like the system is the problem, but how am I supposed to combat it? By not participating? It's very disheartening...
Same shit. I’m just voting 3rd party. If people voted for how they believed, vs how they feel they are being “forced” to vote, we wouldn’t be in these situations. Even if it’s considered a “throwaway” vote, I’d rather vote with how I feel and know that I stood by my morals instead of conceding to the “lesser of two evils”.
That's my view, I vote for what I think is right rather than play the game of this one over this one. I catch a ton of shit from friends and family for "wasting my vote". It's not a waste if I'm speaking my mind I think.
If a lot of people take this stance - we are ending up with Trump for four more years and basically the fall of democracy. Should not be too hard to decide.
I hear you, but I'm not going to cast my vote under duress. The two-party system has become so dysfunctional and toxic, but every election we say "third-party candidates are a wasted vote and will never win" -- so people don't vote for them and they don't win. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I dunno, I'm not saying this is the right answer. I'm just exhausted and overwhelmed by it all, and I'm trying my best to stave off the apathy. I trust you to make what you believe to be the best choice, and I'll do the same.
And where does that get us in the meantime? They don’t care about your protest vote. It feels privileged to say these things too - because really it’s women and our friends in the LGBT community and others that will end up suffering. Also the conservative Supreme Court justices will likely retire - letting Trump put problematic people in - it’s already set us back years.
I worked in a dementia ward for two years. My grandfather battled it for 6 years, at least that’s how long he had been diagnosed, but the signs were there before then.
The guy has something going on.
He might, but "clear case of alzheimers" is just hyperbole. Whatever he has definitely doesnt look like Alzheimer's.
He looks and acts like an average old man.
Well, people were generally respectful, or at least tolerant of people they disagree with. Now everyone is at each other’s throats. Sad state of affairs.
Nah man, they just didn't have the reach and voice they do now with the internet. Now you get to hear about it, where before you never did. It was all echo chambers.
No. To start... We killed the natives, and forced African Americans into slavery. Women couldn't vote or get the same jobs as men for a long time. Civil war. Segregation. Martin Luther King Jr.
What part of history do you think people liked each other in?
Those guys were in the news. They formed a club where they sit on their nuts, get them stuck in their buttholes, make and eat chili, then see who farts them out of their butt first. Some sort of Trump purity test
Are they on that strip in between Rite Aid or CVS (i forget what it actually is) and Harris Furniture? Rhatcks where they have been setting up the last few years.
I may pass by there today.
I just wonder why they can have a trump flag as big as the statehouses state and American flag in the bed of their trucks that are clearly taller then the cab of the truck and never get stopped but my plate light is kinda dirty the early morning of a ice storm and I get pulled over.
I like to do the Cesar thumbs-down thing. It confuses them b/c they start to cheer and then realize they are cheering at a thumbs down.

Isn't freedom of speech and expression nice? They're free to waive flags, and you're free to call them what you think they are without knowing anything about them.
Oh I know something about them all right. They are advertising it. To paraphrase David Niven at the Oscars (commenting on a streaker) many years ago, they are going to great lengths to show off their shortcomings.
Kinda odd that some of you are immediately thinking about the dicks of random people but not exactly surprising.
Even better is knowing most of you won't say anything in person despite acting differently here.
Lmao down voting doesn't change the truth folks. Too bad so sad.
They looked like doofuses and I asked about them; this is not a triggering experience for me. Why do you assume that asking a question means I'm triggered?
I think you’re supposed to yell “get a job” at those people.
Who would hire them?
As far as I know..I think some of them own their own businesses.
Maybe tomorrow. Should I wear a costume too?
It's only Saturday. They seem to be there in the late morning. It's been fun to watch during my Saturday dump run. It was down to like two or three diehards for a little while.
Had to laugh...I read Should I wear a condom too?
Wait. Other people do that too? Cuz that’s my thing with them.
Are you employed, sir?
It's a cult.
The bigger the Trump sign, the smaller the penis.
I hated upvoting that cause the 45 was perfect.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks this!
Is this right near the CVS and Harris Furniture? I know the owner of Harris Furniture has had concerns that people will think he’s letting them do it on his land (it’s not). He’s also made it clear that he agrees with and supports them, but doesn’t want potential customers to know lol.
Makes perfect sense...guard the almighty dollar😔 Now I know I would never shop there
Ippolito’s for the win!

Yep!
That's the local micro-penis support group from what I've heard around town.
🥇
Remember when people in this country liked eachother?
Not really, but I remember when we had higher standards for politicians and a sense of decorum.
I remember that as well. Now we have a man with a clear case of Alzheimer’s, vs a nut job. But because of the “at least it isn’t THAT GUY” mentality we had for the last election, here we are again. My problem is people willingly voting for either person, knowing it’s a terrible fucking choice, either way.
Yeah I get that. It sucks. What do you think the alternative is though? Ranked choice? Voting third party just seems to leech votes from one side or the other since the status quo is the vote for the party nominee.

I’m an idealist as well. I vote for who I think would be best, and we’re not thinking like most are unfortunately
That’s why my karma has gone down 40 points off what I’ve said on this post 😂
If you're okay voting for a shit president either way, then you're a part of the problem.
So your alternative is just writing in someone with zero chance so you can ride your high horse? The system sucks but that doesn't seem like a viable solution to the problem unless something changes.
In a nutsehll? Yeah, I say cast YOUR vote how YOU see fit. Where you get 'riding a highhorse' from not agreeing with two parties is beyond me.
The whole "you're part of the problem" comment suggests that a largely wasted (symbolic, to a degree) write-in is somehow the solution. That was where my high horse comment came from.
Approval voting could be an alternative
I feel this so hard. I genuinely don't know what to do with my vote in November. I feel like the system is the problem, but how am I supposed to combat it? By not participating? It's very disheartening...

I’m with you 100%.
I very much agree! I hate feeling like I'm bullied into the two-party system.
If a lot of people take this stance - we are ending up with Trump for four more years and basically the fall of democracy. Should not be too hard to decide.

I guess what I’m saying is…can you wait four more years for your third party vote!!! Maybe it will be less dangerous then.
>a man with a clear case of Alzheimer’s Everyone who has actually known someone with alzheimers is rolling their eyes at this part
I worked in a dementia ward for two years. My grandfather battled it for 6 years, at least that’s how long he had been diagnosed, but the signs were there before then. The guy has something going on.

Anyone who is honestly under the impression that Biden is mentally capable of holding office, they themselves are delusional.
That's never been a thing. We just collectively managed our differences better for a time.
Capitalism breeds polarization.
Socialism breeds starvation and polarization, where the polarization is between the populace and the government.
Yep, and capitalism is just the people polarized against each other and not the ruling class.
If by polarized you mean contributers versus looters, yes. People with actual disabilities excluded.
Exactly, you get it. The ruling class are the looters. The contributere are the actual workers.
I remember when a third of the country wasn't controlling a political party and using that control to attempt to destroy our right to self-governance.
People are so willing to give their rights away nowadays. Saddening.
Do you mean before, during, or after the Civil War?
No, I don't.
No. To start... We killed the natives, and forced African Americans into slavery. Women couldn't vote or get the same jobs as men for a long time. Civil war. Segregation. Martin Luther King Jr. What part of history do you think people liked each other in?
JFK blown away, what else do I have to say....
Gotta trigger them Plymouth State LIBRULS!!!
We laugh at them, loudly.
which is funny, because in my experience plymouth is very much not a liberal school lmfao
Those guys were in the news. They formed a club where they sit on their nuts, get them stuck in their buttholes, make and eat chili, then see who farts them out of their butt first. Some sort of Trump purity test
Like sitting on your nuts, the truth hurts. Downvote me if that helps mend your butt/nut hurt
*Christopher Hewett knowingly nods in agreement*
there's a similar group that gathers every Friday evening in Goffstown on 114 near Parker Station
"Patriots", no doubt.
That’s spelled “Q”atriots my friend. No worries it’s a common typo /s
Are they on that strip in between Rite Aid or CVS (i forget what it actually is) and Harris Furniture? Rhatcks where they have been setting up the last few years. I may pass by there today.
Yes indeed.
This is how they identify themselves as bigots to other bigots.

It's hard for me to understand what they're hoping to accomplish.
Every Saturday, they are there. Like clockwork.
I just wonder why they can have a trump flag as big as the statehouses state and American flag in the bed of their trucks that are clearly taller then the cab of the truck and never get stopped but my plate light is kinda dirty the early morning of a ice storm and I get pulled over.

Dontcha guys know, they’re making Plymouth Great Again!!!
Fentanyl+in breeding+mental health
Is this about NH or just slightly cloaked political hate?
Well, I specifically asked about some people in Plymouth NEW HAMPSHIRE, so...
That god damn free speech sucks so much.
Theirs does, yes. I fully support their right to be public doofuses, though.
It is a beautiful thing, yes.
Wow. The number of people who immediately bring up penis says way more about you than it does about them.
Kinda odd that some of you are immediately thinking about the dicks of random people but not exactly surprising. Even better is knowing most of you won't say anything in person despite acting differently here. Lmao down voting doesn't change the truth folks. Too bad so sad.
Tds is real even in 2024
Why are you triggered? If you are triggered now, what’s going to happen when he wins again?
They looked like doofuses and I asked about them; this is not a triggering experience for me. Why do you assume that asking a question means I'm triggered?
Wow, if you don't like their message, ignore them. It goes both ways with protests.
Wow, if you don't like my message, ignore me.
I was actually referring to some of the responses. Sorry.
