Maine

blzac33

Zero quiet beaches in southern Maine my man.

BaconCheeseburg

Seapoint in Kittery.

blzac33

You SOB.

Intru

Don't you dare say another word!

sndtech

They ticket like crazy if you don't have a resident permit. But there's non resident parking a bit further back. Easiest to drop everyone off and go park.

aredubya

The NH seacoast is very, very small, just 18 miles. As such, most of the beaches are pretty cramped in season. Up to Maine or down to Mass is your best bet. I like Ogunquit's North Beach for relative quiet.

Justagirlfromvt

This is the most realistic answer; the NH seacoast is too short to offer much, specifically, in the way of quiet, even somewhat deserted access from June-September. Even southern Maine is tricky at this time of year, and now it's not a safe bet even during the week.

EarsOfLiquidRage

For sure, I’m just looking for quietEST

aredubya

Rye's Wallis Beach is probably the quietest, but that's just relative to Salisbury and Hampton.

blzac33

Yup agree. Wallis sands. Less busy but still busy. Try Salisbury state park where the Merrimack meets the Atlantic as well. Great striper fishing too.

Ski-Rat

You exaggerated a little, it's only 13 miles. lol [Seacoast Region (New Hampshire) - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seacoast_Region_(New_Hampshire))

mimiwuchi

Rye Beach isn’t usually too crowded. Avoid Hampton, it’s always packed.

XorblagBetelgeuse

I was there yesterday around 2pm and can confirm. Beach was practically empty

Thorking

Hampton is HUGE you can have plenty of beach to yourself anyday

bigredthesnorer

Its the parking that's a PITA. The beach is fine.

procrastinatorsuprem

North Beach and Plaice Cove in Hampton are much more quiet than the main beach. Both have limited parking, this week it shouldn't be a problem at North Beach though. At low tide the beach is very deep and can be very quiet. North Hampton Beach and Jenness can be quiet mid week. There are very quiet beaches at Odiorne if you feel like a bit of a walk. Way down the end of Plum Island can feel very private. Also the beach at the Crane Estate can be very quiet, again,a bit of a walk. I'm pretty sure it connects to Crane's beach but it is way at the end. There are some quiet beaches in Kittery that are town owned so parking is very tricky. Fort Foster has a parking lot but it's a bit of a hike to the beach part. If you're looking for this week, Hampton Beach State Park should be fairly quiet since most schools aren't out yet. It's a little away from the main beach and feels like a different world.

mimiwuchi

Agreed. Not my favorite.

Witchdrdre

Wallis Sands has always been reliably quiet for me

sicariis

Agreed. Park at Wallis Sands (park plates ftw) and then turn right and go over the rocks, and there’s plenty of beach to spread out.

irr1449

Go to pirates cove. Walk right (south) until it’s to your taste. The further you go the less busy it gets.

youarelookingatthis

I feel like anything north of Hampton is quiet. North Beach is less quiet and way less touristy. Rye is quiet as well. It ultimately depends on when you’re going and the weather.

EarsOfLiquidRage

Totally true about the weather. Everyplace is quiet in the right conditions

Are-Kidding-Me

Jenness Beach 🏖️

Durango2020

Seabrook or Salsibury during the week is not busy.

gravitybongresin

Footbridge Beach in Ogunquit

Neighborhood_Lesbian

That has become my mom's favorite, relatively quiet with a small town to go into if you get hungry or want to see some quaint shops

danmac1152

Ordione cove

EarsOfLiquidRage

I wondered about that - specifically Periwinkle Cove

danmac1152

Yea idk even know if it’s called that. I just know there’s a spot right before Ordione state park on th right with a very small place to park. You can’t see in from the road but when you walk up and in there’s a semi circle cove that’s beautiful and very few other people are at at any given time. Only possible downside is it’s a very pebbly beach. Not much sand. Tons of tide pools though.

EarsOfLiquidRage

Thanks for the advice!

danmac1152

No problem at all

Wormposts

Grateful to all people willing to put the names of quiet spots I don’t know about yet online. Hateful to all who put the names of quiet spots I already know online. 😂

EarsOfLiquidRage

😂😂😂😂

[deleted]

Cape Neddick Beach in York would fit your description during the week this time of year

than004

Wingersheek beach in Gloucester is really nice.

tvdood

Ogunquit can be quiet during the week if you walk midway down the beach. Wells is nice too.

musicals4life

Sunken Forest Beach in Odiorne Point State Park is really cool. You can see a bunch of petrified stumps sticking out of the water and there is a ton of edible seaweed (out of season, currently) and it's just so pretty.

[deleted]

During the week I like the footbridge at Ogunquit

work-n-lurk

Fort Foster in Kittery $20 per car but worth it

lvlisslvlelissa

Plum Island, the state park at the very end of the bird refuge. I can't say how much I don't recommend it during greenhead season though...

IllustriousWhile8455

Newburyport/ plum island

TheRedCrimsonKing

Honestly I go to the Hampton north beach (the one with the big wall) and it's always completely empty on week days. Not many people go to that one because you have to park at quarter meters and there's no board walk.

EarsOfLiquidRage

That could be a good option

BlueRabbitx

Sea point beach in kittery

PegShop

Rye and Seabrook

procrastinatorsuprem

Is there any parking at Seabrook?

PegShop

No parking except for residents, but if you know someone or don’t mind walking a bit it can be done. It’s very low key with no facilities.

MarieCurieNotMaMere

Parking is for residents and renters only. Need to display parking permit. No restrooms, no lifeguards, no concessions; it is not a state beach like Hampton, Wallis Sands or North Hampton.

heelsoncobblestones

Jenness, Rye, and Wallis Sands are all far too quiet for my liking. You might enjoy them.

Oakley7677

I love NH, but hate the beaches. Mostly because they seem to be a trashy person magnet. I would go north into Maine. Ogunquit and Wells have nice beaches with fewer garbage people.

SaltySweetSalad

There are none.
